I called the shop. The man who answered was abrupt, impatient and dismissive. He then told me call somebody else. Of course I don’t want to do business with a company this type of response!

I just completed my hardwood floor installation in my condo in 2.5 days. I could not be more thrilled with the results. It looks like a new, completely different property which would now surely command a higher resale price if it were on the market. They are simply the best!

My review is long overdue with this great store. I have been buying flooring materials from them for years. Single family and multi family properties and they the best in town for materials and expertise. Small family business who care about their customers. They are knowledgeable about everything from city codes for underlayment, flooring types and sell everything including baseboards. There are so many flooring stores in the area and I continue to return to Wood Ave as their customer service is simply the best.

First off, apologies to the Wood Ave team for taking so long to leave this review! A few of my neighbors used Wood Ave to put hard wood floors in their apartments. Normally, most people wouldn't pay to put flooring down in a place they're renting but most of us in my building have been here for years and have no intention of leaving soon. So to us, it's worth the investment. I originally contacted Empire because they were the only company I was familiar with when it came to flooring. After my neighbors referred me to Wood Ave, I contacted them and not only got a much better deal than Empire but the quality of their flooring was MUCH nicer. The whole process was very easy and stress free. It took about 2 days to complete our nearly 800 sq ft apartment and the flooring looks amazing! A week later we ended up damaging part of the flooring in the kitchen in a fire accident and Wood Ave was able to get someone in to replace the damaged part for us. It's been a year with our new flooring and it still looks brand new despite having 2 dogs, moving furniture around and dropping weights on it. I recommend Wood Ave to anyone I know who needs flooring, especially my fellow real estate investors looking for flooring for their flips. Wood Ave has the best quality and pricing in LA. They are a wonderul small family business and highly recommend them as a first and last stop when choosing a flooring company.

Amazing service and great products offered at a great price. Daniel was totally hands-on and managed our project from concept to installation. We love our herringbone floors - they look gorgeous and were installed on a tight deadline and with a difficult sub floor situation that was resolved beautifully. I highly recommend this company, and I will never go anywhere else for my flooring.

Simon and his Sons + Anette in the office give amazing service, assistance, and they are there all the way. - The material selection is great with very good prices. - After quite a bit of research -I was concerned about noise reduction, and proper best underlayment for noise, and compatible with the material - I found Simon @ Wood Ave! - I got me the best best 1/2 inch sound reduction cork. They gave me the material documentation also, and guided me with the best gluing compound which is also moisture protection, and sound reduction. - I found an beautiful luxury vinyl flooring which we just installed .Looks fantastic and it s waterproof.! - Whatever you are looking for, Check out Wood ave. - I visited too many stores, both in person and on line. I live in the area, and have been procrastinating getting my hard wood floors done in one room in my house. One day I was walking, and found Wood Ave, and I am so glad I did. I am a big supporter of local businesses versus the big names, and Wood Ave is prime example why. You are an actual person to them, and not an invoice number. Not only did they do excellent work (my floors look fabulous), but they worked around my hectic work schedule and strict timeline of when they needed to be finished. When installation day came, within a couple of hours, they were packing up to leave, and I had beautiful hard wood floors. The workers were clean and not invasive at all. With the exception of my new floors, you would have never known they were there. To make things even better, their prices were competitive with the larger vendors, and they were able to match the wood floors I already had with something they had in stock. I am glad that I found a vendor that understands that it is not only important to do great work, but to provide good personal service as well. I am now saving my $$$ to do the rest of my house room by room, and Danny and the rest of the folks at Wood Ave will be my first call.

I have been a customer of Wood Avenue for many years. My childhood home is right down the street from Wood Ave. and we used them to refinish and add hardwood to my mom's house years ago. Their prices are very reasonable and the entire staff is so wonderful to work with. The floors were done very nicely and the workers were on time and very professional. Fast forward to years later when I had water damage in my own home in Hollywood Hills. The water damage caused my hardwood to buckle and severely warped the plywood under the floors. I worked with Daniel (the co-owner with his dad). Daniel has always been great to work with. He responds quickly to my calls, sets appointments promptly and visits my home himself. He always cares about how the work is being done, confirming that the wood and wood-finish I picked are correct, delivers the wood when he says he would, His workers are efficient, pays attention to the details, and they keep my house very clean after each day of installation. They are experts in both the wood installation and the plywood install. At that time, we were selling our house and were anxious to get it on the market quickly. Daniel was able to get the installation done on time, he was able to submit all the necessary paperwork to the insurance company who reimbursed me for the water damage to my floors, and were able to get my house on the market on schedule! Everything went smoothly and my floors are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! I highly recommend Wood Avenue!

They are very well established, trustworthy, honest professional and extremely knowledgeable. Simon, the owner was very helpful and honest throughout the process. He wanted me to make sure there was no wood floor underneath the carpet. And if so they can offer to sand and finish. They will not sell any service unless it is the best for your floors! They want you to be happy with the quality and price. And they do offer the best in both. I know because I did the research and went to a lot of places so that I could buy flooring for my home. When I found this place I felt that there was no point in looking any further. The owner, Annette, Daniel, all of the staff are friendly and very professional. I am very happy.

I have to say that I am extremely happy with the hardwood floors that Wood Ave put in my new house. I did a lot of research before finally finding Wood Ave, and I am so happy I did. Kambiz helped us with picking the wood and wall molding. He was able to give us a great price compared to anywhere else! Make sure to speak with him. We ended up putting Maple through the entire house. Makes the house look exponentially bigger than before. At first we wanted new floors just in the public areas, but it looked so good that we spent a little more to do the entire house. The workers were also so knowledgeable. If any of my friends ask, no doubt I will recommend Wood Ave again and again.
