Where To Eat & Drink Near Oracle Park

"At Woodbury, the drinks are strong and the food is great, especially if you’re looking for a spot to catch up with a friend you haven’t seen in far too long. You could start off with a frozen Irish coffee or head straight for the food—their menu includes everything from fried chicken sandwiches to steak frites and fish tacos." - lani conway, julia chen 1

Woodbury Review - Soma - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Woodbury is the kind of bar you’d bring a visiting coworker or client to catch up at. It’s dark enough inside to fade out anything you don’t want to focus on, the drinks are strong, and the food is above average for a place that’s primarily a bar. Grab a Manhattan and a fried chicken sandwich and see how their third-quarter project is going to affect stacked integrations of leveraged holdings with offshore portfolio assets." - Will Kamensky

Google
Rah earned this place a full spread of five stars. He made the experience legit. We got turned away from a stuffy restaurant before we made it to Woodbury. Let me say I am actually glad they turned us away. Woodbury has good drinks, good food, and most importantly, good people. Rah let us know that we only had about 30 minutes to order food. Not a problem! We knew we were getting in under the wire, so we all quickly figured out what we wanted. We got some fried chicken sandwiches, burgers, sliders, tacos and potato skins. All of it was great! My dad said his smash burger was so good that it was practically gourmet quality. I loved the potato wedges. The Mango Margarita is really good. They make very good Long Island Iced Teas. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

Google
This was an interesting experience. Definitely a bar but with reservable tables. Service was terrible in beginning with what missed orders, wrong items showing up and a long wait for our drinks (near 20 minutes). Apparently it was a new waiter. The biggest issue we encountered was that he lied about the type of bourbon provided in the first drink and it was not gluten-free! Good thing our party didn’t have celiac disease and only a sensitivity. The evening turned around when a new wait staff person assisted us. Service was much quicker, accurate and she even provided a round of shots.

Google
Website says kids are allowed. But beware of coming in here to eat even with a teenager(not a small child). They will allow children but will treat you rudely and hurry you to get out! This was a waste of a Friday night dinner while on vacation. Good food but poor service and communication. Wish they would have told us no so we could have got the service we paid for somewhere else.

Jason Pribush

Google
Bit busy when we went but the bar tender was so nice and appreciative. The old fashions are premixed but actually pretty decent.

Google
We had so much fun. The outdoor seating area is super cute and they put a lot of thought into all of the little details. We were surrounded by little flower boxes filled with colorful plants and vine-wrapped poles. The tator tots and the fried chicken sandwich were calling my name...and I'm glad they did. My husband got the beyond burger with fries and he was equally happy. Our server was very kind and perfect. The ambiance was lively and energetic. The music makes you move and groove in your chair.

Christian Adams

Google
Ordered fries, calamari, wings, and various drinks. Everything was honestly great and some of the best drinks i’ve had in the city. Watched the draft, played Jeopardy and it was very lively.

Tristan

Google
Service was great! Jameson mule was awesome. The deviled eggs were fresh and different. A Dijon Sriracha with a green onion crunch. The shrimp tacos were light, tasty, and crisp and have some heat after each bite. Shrimp at least tasted fresh caught even if they weren't. Keep it up fam

Google
We had a great time at Woodbury. The service provided by Rah was great! It was a fun and relaxed place to watch the game. The audio visual equipment can use some improvement. The TV was glitching and the speaker was buzzing.

Yelp
I came here with a Party of 8 on a Sunday evening. My group made a reservation the night before to watch the Warriors play Game 7 of the playoffs against the Rockets. We wanted to have food and drinks while watching the game on TV and we were able to find this place. There were a lot of Giants fans inside as a home game had just ended, but it wasn't overly crowded. The bar is a bit Western-themed and they were playing good music to my surprise. The atmosphere wasn't too rowdy as we watched the Warriors game, which was nice. The service was 5/5. I was able to check-in 30 minutes prior to the reservation time. The servers were friendly, approachable, and attentive to my large parties needs. We were able to order what we wanted and got it in a timely manner. I would give the food a 4/5, most things I tried were decent. I personally really liked the calamari and truffle fries. A little salty and smidge over seasoned, but I enjoyed both and would get it again. The drinks were decent here too. I would definitely return here to watch another game or just for the vibes.

Yelp
Happening spot near Oracle arena, great for game day. They deal in batch so everything was fine, but don't expect too much especially from the happy hour stuff. For example, old-fashioned was on the happy hour menu and was balanced and decent. The raised by wolves, not on happy hour, had more complexity. Talk, deviled eggs, sliders And mac & cheese eggrolls met expectations. Edamame was surprisingly overcooked, first experience with that. Considering the volume, our server, kitchen stuff and Barr pumped things out. Loved that they have it dialed in and know how to work the floor.

Yelp
Came here after a Giants game wings ate always fire however I got a few broken bones. Do not order shots or even a cocktail to be safe. I got a Don Julio Reposado and it was clear not dark hmm. Beware the mix the alcohol. Service was ok no one is dedicated to one away and a little on the slow side food does come out fast. Potion size for the wings are plentiful, however everything else skip you only get 2-3 pieces for the price of wings with other bar bites. Cool crowd, tables are always cleaned right away however I won't be going back.

Yelp
I used to visit Woodbury in my 20s for their beer and a shot deals. Now I stay for a bite to eat before a giants game! They have a spectacular happy hour deal with a few menu and drink items, which include margaritas and tacos! We got a selection of food and drinks and dined at the bar before walking to the stadium. I was shocked how quiet it was compared to other bars near Oracle Park. Definitely recommend a visit!
google avatar

Connie M.

Yelp
It's a bar with a bunch of animal heads as decor. Dark, dingy, and doesn't have much character outside of those details. Came here for an event that was hosted and the menu felt limited too. I didn't get to experience this place at night time to be able to rate it's nightlife factor but based on the 1 hour I was there one evening after work, it was nothing too memorable to write home about.
google avatar

Leanne G.

Yelp
Not only was the food great, but Candace made our visit amazing!!! So sweet and attentive. Can't wait to come back for the good vibes and good food

Michael N.

Yelp
Never open when they say they are. It's like a ghost kitchen in the real sense. Not a great neighborhood unless a ball game is going on at Oracle.
google avatar

Kayla S.

Yelp
Big shoutout to Rah--and the guy who dropped our food off (sorry, never got your name)! Everyone that works here has such a dope, friendly vibe. Music... also very much a vibe! We were in this part of town for a concert and wanted to kill some time with a quick drink--ended up finding what might be our new go-to spot whenever we're in the city. Super chill atmosphere and just an all-around great experience. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
We discovered this place during 2024 Giants season. We were looking for a spot to get a bite before day games. Now it is our Go To. Great atmosphere. Awesome servers. Really great small bite. Good beers and cocktails. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.

Richard M.

Yelp
Excellent and expedient service. Rah and Sondra are beyond hospitable and I would recommend going here for ever happy hour
google avatar

Katrina V.

Yelp
My husband and I wanted to grab foot outside of Oracle Park prior to attending a concert there. He and I googled for restaurants in the area. Since he was craving something more in line of American food, we landed on Woodbury, which was only a couple of blocks down from the ball park. We arrived around 5pm on a Friday. It was busy sports bar, but we were able to snag a couple of spots at the bar before the crowd started picking up. We were under the impression that we made it in time for happy hour, which is made available from 4-6pm on Mondays - Fridays. That being said, we were informed after we started placing our order with the bartender that they weren't observing happy hour at the moment. Would've been nice to get the heads up prior to settling on our food items. We ordered a couple of cocktails including their spicy margarita and espressotini. Both were fine, pretty standard. We got chicken nachos, deviled eggs, and bbq brisket sliders to share. The food we ordered might as well have been stadium quality food but at a premium because of the tax and tip.

Taylor D.

Yelp
Great bar in an area without many options. Really good reasonably priced cocktails. Great selection of beer and solid pub food. Plenty of seating and friendly bartenders. It's really kind of an all purpose bar that works for any occasion and draws an eclectic crowd.

Yelp
Get rid of this racist woman. I went to get another glass of house red wine. My first glass was from the Alchemist upstairs. Excellent bartender. A bar opening because the two ppl sitting at the bar left. She finally decided to come to me, so I thought, but it was only to clean the previous guests plates and fixings. She said one sec let me clean this. (Be advised, the mess was there for awhile already.) I said no problem, just want another round of the Cabernet. She said, "one minute" I said gotcha. Was she finished cleaning she ignored me and went to a four-five guests in the corner. I was patient, I was kind, and I lost my thirst for wine. Those guys she served were already served before...rude, unrelenting, and racist. Today is my birthday as well. Spirits were all the way up, and I ain't letting her bring me down. Found another bar tender and just posting this to get it out my system, and letting it go...

Melissa T.

Yelp
Came for a birthday party. Everything was amazing and the staff were accommodating and attentive. Don't skip the bulgogi tacos!
google avatar

Stef M.

Yelp
I love this place they always make you feel welcome an are very very accommodating. I have tried almost an possibly everything on the food menu. Haven't tried every cocktail . The finally got rid of the kale Salad thank goodness I think now it's spinach which is good. I go here cause it's close have a nice atmosphere everyone is friendly and helpful and they usually go out of their way. Raj is the best for it all. I wouldn't come while there is a big game on cause it will be hella crowded so service at lest food won't be so fast or maybe accurate . Also unless you are not to hungry don't order the grill cheese it is delicious but it fits in the middle of my hand so not very big at all
google avatar

Ibis T.

Yelp
Amazing food, incredible staff, and fast service! Highly suggest the spicy Paloma (not on the menu, but worth asking for it!) and the steak tacos were perfection.
google avatar

Nik H.

Yelp
Close to where I work when in SF. The bartenders are great. They are talkative and engaging which is great when you are by yourself. It really helps the ambiance. The drinks they make are excellent and well balanced. I have had a few different items and they know their cocktails. Give it a try

Aleksandra G.

Yelp
The bouncer is extremely rude. Me and my friend tried to come here around 10pm. Given that many places don't serve dinner, I asked if the kitchen is still open. The guy shrugged his shoulders and mumbled something along the line of "you can check at the bar" and I was like "excuse me, I didn't hear you" and he responded "exactly. Whatever". That's not how you should treat local clientele. We turned around immediately. I am so confused.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
Seems like everyone pitches in to help. Three people were asking if I needed anything. They recommended the deviled eggs with hot sauce; an excellent recommendation. Happy hour is a great value. Classic bar vibe.

Yelp
5/30/2021 Quarantine Day 440 My friend and I came here for late night food and drinks. When we arrived, the outdoor and indoor seating was packed! So packed that we had to wait almost 15 minutes for the hostess to check us in. Before we were allowed to enter, the hostess did a temperature check on us. At the time, I checked in via yelp and the offer was to get a free Budweiser with a purchase of a burger/fried chicken sandwich. I showed our hostess the yelp offer and they gave me a free house beer instead. So my yelp friends, check-in and see if you get this yelp offer or now. I'm honestly not sure if it will still pop-up or not. We had a lot of time to decide what we wanted because there was only one hostess, one waiter, one bartender, so service was sloooow, and it was difficult to get anyone's attention until the third or fourth attempt. Perhaps they need to hire more people since the establishment was very full and with bars being reopened again, there will be no shortage of patrons. When it comes to ordering, use your phone to scan the QR code on the table. You can order on the website or through the hostess if they ever come to take your order. Anyway, here's what we got: 1. Field work IPA (bigger cup) 2. Ghost town sour (smaller cup) 3. Fish tacos (share) 4. Fried chicken sandwich (share) The fries were crispy and not too oily nor greasy. The tacos were pretty good and I liked that the fish pieces were a decent size. The chicken sandwich was juicy inside, and crispy when you bite into it. The spicy level of the sandwich was just right for me. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, and the food was good but it didn't blow my mind. Service could be better, but I'm willing to give it another chance because they have other drinks and food I'd like to try out.

Yelp
Great neighborhood restaurant and bar. Decorated with lights, horns and animal heads inside and out. Outdoor street-side covered Parklets are lined with a chain of necklaces and offer overload seating when it's busy. Interior is dark, but has a comfortable vibe. Cocktails are creatively crafted, menu variety of beers on taps and a slew of wines The food menu provides fun and full bites from appetizers to full plates for munchies like every single gastropub formula for hipsters on earth: Selection of canned beers, various tater tots with aioli, deviled eggs sometimes with caviar, bacon or truffle oil, 2 kinds of sliders, something smoked or BBQed, mason jars, horns and skulls etc... Service is attentive when it's slow and keeps checking up on tables. It's a place to linger on a cold night.
google avatar

Allie G.

Yelp
A little pricier than expected but still really great! We came here as group of 5 on a Saturday afternoon, after looking for a cute bar near the Caltrain stop. We got seated inside immediately and really enjoyed the holiday decor - so festive! The outdoor seating area was also appealing, but it was slightly too cold for that. You're able to order and pay for drinks/food directly from the QR code link here, which makes splitting the bill for a large party very convenient. However, they also give you the option of ordering with your server or at the bar. I started with a Christmas Mule off the Holiday Specials menu, and that was delicious - perfect for a winter drink. I also ordered the Brisket Sliders, which were fantastic but super small. They only come as two little sliders (no sides) so if you're hungry, plan to order more. Luckily, we also got truffle fries for the table, which were perfect. We also ended up getting a few rounds of shots, but these can get expensive here quickly, so I actually don't recommend it. Otherwise, great spot!

Victoria W.

Yelp
So, so glad they're back open after the sudden lift from the latest stay-at-home order (fingers crossed everything remains open from here on out!!) and got the Groundhog Day cocktail to celebrate Groundhog's Day. The cocktail tequila-based with fruity notes with powdered frozen raspberry bits on top. It's sweet, but nothing like a sickening margarita-sweet - I found it super refreshing! Also got the fried chicken sliders (fried in mochiko flour!) and it was crispy yet EXTREMELY juicy on the inside! Highly recommend this small bite while enjoying a drink or two. Coming back here for more drinks and to try other bites - I love the patio ambiance, though the cars zooming down third during rush hour are quite loud, nothing some earbuds can't fix!
google avatar

Jerry J.

Yelp
10/10 service. Staff were so helpful. We went there last Friday before the giants game and for being first time customers we are definitely going back. The food was so good and had great flavor. The drinks were a bonus especially before the game. The vibe was outstanding
google avatar

Grace H.

Yelp
I stumbled in here on a Saturday around 11PM and surprisingly it was dead! There was no bouncer but there were two bartenders and a waitress working. We sat down and ordered drinks plus wings. I was thankful their kitchen was still open because I deff wanted some wings and to my surprise, they were delicious. Of course they weren't AMAZING, but the lemon pepper wings were comparable to Wing Stop. The only downside was their ranch wasn't the best but can't complain. I ordered an espresso martini and it wasn't again AMAZING, but still sweet yet strong. Overall, I'd definitely be back. Great spot to chill and grab a bite and drinks. The waitress was amazing and very nice. Their music was good too!
google avatar

Lincoln T.

Yelp
We came here for St. Patty's Day with a large group of Dads trying to escape their fatherly duties, and we found seats right away. Great location near the ball park, and service was excellent. I had the smashburger which was pretty good for what I thought would be bar food. Phil, the owner, was also a top notch, friendly guy!
google avatar

Jim R.

Yelp
We came out to San Francisco to celebrate a birthday and picked this place for drinks and dinner due to its proximity to the Hwy. our plane was due in around 5 and we wanted a place to meet some folks for dinner before heading up to wine country. Things were pretty quiet inside on a Friday night after Christmas but our bartender Rah make us feel oh so welcome. We had a group of 8 and enjoyed the great bar food like nachos and tater tots as well as the burgers and salads. They had some nice drink options too with craft beers and inventive cocktails including a Lycee Sour that several in our group enjoyed. For me the classic margarita hit the spot. With happy hour until 7 pm, the price for our food and drinks felt very reasonable. But the best part was clearly the excellent staff.
google avatar

Jay C.

Yelp
Friendly staff, cold beer, really good bone marrow dish. Wings were mediocre. Too much flour/breading, could use more butter. Ranch was too thick and a little sweet (reference Wingstop for a good ranch). Would go back for a quick drink and bone marrow.
google avatar

Angella S.

Yelp
Dead animal heads on the wall aside, I SOOOOO enjoyed everything else about this place. We discovered this spot on Memorial Day when we tried to dine at District, but it was closed. And all I can say is that I'm super happy we did...Food is a serious five stars. I mean, EVERYTHING is stellar. We went for the Kale Salad, fried mushrooms, truffle fries, and eggplant sliders. You'd think that they were a full-on vegetarian restaurant with all of the amazing options. In terms of drinks, I was stuck on bubbly, so I can't say much about cocktails. But they kept everything a-flowin' and we never had an empty glass at the table. And that leads right into service - another 5-star. The only thing I wasn't such a super fan of was the ambiance. I mean, I hate to hold it against them, but inside is a little dark, a little masculine, and as I mentioned, I really don't care to eat amongst animal heads. The Parklet dining looked charming, and might be the way to go next time. Well...it's not my favorite neighborhood and I've managed to avoided South of Market for almost two years now, but Woodbury may just be my gateway back on these sunny summer days!
google avatar

Cristina P.

Yelp
Today was our first time here. We met our good friend visiting from Arizona and ready to watch the Packer game and then the Niner game. #gopackgo The ambiance is amazing, the service is on point and the food...finger licking good. We are looking forward to our next visit. If you're looking to watch the games or just have good food and a good time, I recommend.
google avatar

Chanel D.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years now and the service is always amazing. Antonio and Rah treat me and my friends like family every time! The food is always good and the service is always extremely professional. The one thing I ask is to please bring back the Mac and cheese eggrolls!!!!!

Kevin B.

Yelp
Great establishment, great service. Glad we stopped in after a Giants game! Left a bag by mistake, emailed them, they saved for us to pickup....very relieved and thankful

Victoria G.

Yelp
We specifically came here today for the mozzarella only to be told they are NOT available this baseball season. We are SHOCKED, BEWILDERED, SADDENED, and confused. Our (delicious) passion fruit slushees had CORN HUSKS in them. HOW are there corn husks but not mozzarella sticks???

C H.

Yelp
My espresso martini snob in me says the espressotini which is premixed and not blended well. The cheese bites were not on the menu but were disgusting I came here after a warriors game and it was packed and busy and unfortunately not fun
google avatar

Abigail C.

Yelp
Passed by for a drink last night. The place was quite loud, and the drink was not good at all. I got an espressotini which was supposed to have cold brew, but it just tastes like old drip coffee, not sweet at all. Just not a good flavor. It was also the tiniest martini I've ever seen, not great for $14. Service was good, and they did give us a free drink since the table that ordered it left. I don't think I'd go back.
google avatar

Nathan D.

Yelp
Cute ambience, good food, and friendly staff. This is great for groups. The mushroom app is amazing! They have an app for you to order if you have a big group and don't wanna deal with splitting the bills.
google avatar

Kiran T.

Yelp
Stopped by before the Giants game and I'm so glad we did! The gastropub/sports bar is the best way to get pumped up before walking into the stadium. I would recommend getting there at a decent time to ensure you can get a table (or a server's attention). The bacon cheddar fries are amazinggg!

Trinity T.

Yelp
servers were amazing. so friendly, great spot to bring friends out to. Rah was amazing... great guy, kind heart. all staff are super helpful around the city and know their shit!!! best place in SF i've never heard of
google avatar

Amy D.

Yelp
'Twas a windy, February night. Courtesy of some outdoor heaters we were able to get in a quick bite of bar food at our local spot. Woodbury's covered patio is one of the better ones I've experienced, with string lights, greenery, making for an all around cozy ambiance. They have one of my fav cocktails, a Paloma, and we also got some chicken nuggets (they come spicy due to the Sriracha butter!) and fries. Something about eating fries made life feel normal again, or maybe that's just the comfort food talking!
google avatar

Bill V.

Yelp
First visit to Woodbury, walking past after a Warriors game. Even though they were busy, the service was great, and the food and drinks were excellent. Our server, Rah, was clear that the food might take a while, which was true, and was well worth the wait. The drinks came surprisingly quickly. Our group of four had the fried chicken wings, the bacon cheese tater tots, the fried chicken sandwich, and the brisket sliders. There was nothing left, except for a few granules of garlic fries. Did I mention that the food and drinks were excellent? Rah was great. The place was hopping, yet he remained relaxed and efficient and clear, a real professional. We highly recommend Woodbury, and will happily return.
google avatar

Sean M.

Yelp
Great food and drinks and especially Rah, it's a great time! Very good deals at happy hour!
google avatar

Gina G.

Yelp
They don't honor their reservations. Said it's now open seating. Ordering system broke down.. Ended up being late to the game. Complete unorganinzed shit show.
google avatar

Minal S.

Yelp
I'd give this place no stars if I could. The bouncer was the rudest person I've ever encountered and had no idea how to manage a crowd. He tried pushing us out when we had no where to go and then would randomly kick people out and let his "normal cats" in. Power hungry jerk.
google avatar

Jamie W.

Yelp
Came in twice on my last trip. Super close to the Hyatt. They are super by the book about the vaccine cards (I love this). Bartender makes great martinis and a mean crown and diet. We were feeling snacky so indulged on some cheesy tots. Good vibes. Great staff. Will be back.
google avatar

Sheila P.

Yelp
I love their fried potato tacos, which I've had three times now. They are served with a green salsa and crema. I've dined outdoors as well as getting takeout, either way their food is good. I've also had their grilled cheese with honey, which is amazing! I don't mind a little sweet on my palette. They have a tv with outdoor dining in case you wanna watch the game while you eat. Great music, good vibes.
google avatar

Sofia R.

Yelp
Visited for the first time for Happy Hour with some friends. Venue is nice! Spacious too, it got packed pretty quickly because of a reservation of like 100 (whoa). Sat at the bar and ordered the Silk Road ($9?) and a Truffle Honey Grilled Cheese ($6). Silk Road - Pretty much a more fragrant Gin & Tonic. Really pretty cocktail! Truffle Honey Grilled Cheese - Tasty!! Not sure of the blend of cheeses, but seemed like there were 2-3. Pretty sure there was brie in there paired with a sharper cheese. Melty, gooey, decadent goodness...admittedly was a bit much on the honey which made it a little too sweet. Would have been great to pair this with fries or potato chips or something. Overall, lovely experience. I would love to go back here!
google avatar

Meg T.

Yelp
Woodbury was a last minute duck into that luckily had a couple seats for myself and an ex-coworker of mine. It's a pub, so it's incredibly, totally, everlovingly way way way too loud. So you should expect that if you decide to drop in. I ended up getting a slider (meh) and a soda. While the seating was cute, I'd have definitely appreciated this bar more if there was a game on or I were into sportsball - sadly neither of those things were true, so our experience was simply humdrum and way too loud. I haven't and likely won't be back.
google avatar

Alex T.

Yelp
The food drink and staff here are top notch. Adam was extremely attentive and knew exactly just what I wanted and how I wanted it. As soon as the drink hit my lips, I knew I had just entered an oasis, sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the city streets and its concerns. And as the drink cascaded down my esophagus and entered my belly, it warmed me and put my mind and body at ease. I can't wait to return to this little slice of heaven.

Yelp
Avoid this place at all costs. Absolute trash establishment. One of the most overpriced places in the city, for pretty shitty quality food. Worst part was After spending almost $500 they automatically closed out our tab in the middle of our dining experience because we surpassed the 2 hour limit, which they never told us about. Management didn't care at all. Waiter: "Ok this is your last order we are closing your tab" Me: "ok Are you kicking us out" Waiter: "No just closure your tab, but that's coming up next" This place needs to fire their entire staff. If the owner is reading this, prepare for hundreds of 1 star reviews as I will dedicate 2 hours of my life every week for the rest of my life to focus on spreading the news in every possible way about this place until you are shut down or make this right.
