Woods Cole Valley

Finally got a chance to check out Woods' newest outpost, and it did not disappoint. It boasts a much larger patio than the Lower Haight location, but a less sexy interior; you're definitely coming here to hang out in the backyard. It's the perfect place for outdoor socializing: it has lots of beautiful trees that provide shade, heaters for cold nights, and string lights that bring the post-sunset vibes. The kitchen was closed on a Wednesday night, but I'm sure getting some burgers to quench my appetite after a few beers would hit the spot. If you're there early, waiting for your partner/friends/date, there's a nice bench where you can hawk tables as they turn over. for now, it seems like it's first-come, first-serve, and you have to get beers at the counter, which can be a bit of a pain once you're all cozy at your bench.

It’s finally open - and with a perfect, spacious patio to share an afternoon bottle of wine in the sun (with plenty of shade options too). So happy to see Cole Valley get their own Woods - the quintessential SF date and friend hang out spot!

Came here on a Thursday night with a friend and it was pretty busy. Great vibe to the place, great smash burger (double drive thru) and fries from Lovely’s. Obviously the beer is stellar. Fantastic patio situation with heaters and a fire pit that’s great for hanging with friends or going on a date.

Was a very charming spot and the honey beer i had rocked. Lovely’s also had some pretty fantastic burgers. Our server Aidan recommended getting another patty and frankly I recommend too. Wish i took pics but honestly that burger was gone immediately because i ate it so fast lol

Great brew spot. Get there early on Fridays if you want a table in the beer garden! Amazing burgers too!

So glad to have this new outpost of Woods in the neighborhood! Love their back patio and have enjoyed chill Sunday afternoons here. Some people bring their kids and dogs, some people their laptops or board games. Good vibes! Would love to see some additional non-alcoholic options, snacks, and wifi.

Nice spot to grab a beer and burger. Note, if you are eating there you’ll need to sit to order food but drinks are ordered at the counter. A little bit of a disjointed experience.

So far we've only had drinks here. They opened this brewpub in the old Reverie space. They re-did the back patio space and added a fire pit. The service has been fast and very friendly. The food offerings should be starting in about a week. Expect burgers and fries and such. The outdoor space is a great draw for this place. It's also a great addition to the already fun neighborhood. They only have 4 taps right now but will have 12 soon. Also, interesting wines that they make themselves. The sparkling rose was a favorite of my wife's. We're are very happy they're open and ready for the beer and wine loving people of SF.

Great beer, service, and vibes. Love the backyard outdoor space! Great for groups, families, kids, and also dogs (I love seeing families and kids here!) There's a fire pit and cozy bench seating and lots of space heaters. There'll be lines on weekends and Fridays when Lovely's (a great burger place in Oakland) offers burgers as a pop-up here. Come early because you have to wait in line to order and then wait in line to snag a table.

Tldr: solid burger/beer spot, sad amount of seating Had lovely's for the first time in Oakland, was delicious! This one is comparable! Good beer menu, a tad on the higher cost end. Nice staff. Both indoor and outdoor seating but hard to find a seat - can only order food with a seat

We were so excited that Lovley's is now available in Cole Valley! The vibe in the restaurant and outside is so cute! They even have a fire pit for those colder nights. We came here on a Thursday when the Holiday market was on. It was busy inside but didn't seem overwhelming. It took over an hour for us to recieve our food. I suppose the restaurant wasn't ready for a crowd but they kept quoting us incorrect times for when our food was going to be ready. Food was yum but have to give this 3 stars due to how long the food took.

They have a lovely patio area with heat lamps. Was walking through the area with my friends after brunch and decided to stop in for a look see. Got some drinks from their decent sized selection. Ordered from the register first, then sit. Our drinks were brought out to us pretty quickly. Will definitely need to go back and try some of the food.

I love this new location of Woods!! Perfect central location, amazing outdoor space and fantastic food/drink. I really appreciate the abundance of patio heaters they have in their outdoor space, it makes it super comfortable to be out there during the colder months. The burgers from Lovely's are super good, one of the best smash burgers in the city. I like how their burgers come with all fixings, it's not like you have to get the "deluxe burger" at a higher price just to get lettuce on it. I love this new spot and will be back regularly!

All Woods locations I've been to have been good experiences. The unique personality they infuse into each spot is really appreciated, not to mention the distinct styles of beer they offer. I checked out the Cole location recently and had the same reaction--another winner. This location is still in its soft-opening phase, so I'm not sure how much of what I note now will change down the line. For now, the things that struck me were: -Draft beer list definitely smaller than Lowside, for example. Maybe 4 or 5 total options. However, it was a good spread of styles and I think most people would find something they like. -The space looks really cool--going for a diner sort of feel. It also has a really nice outdoor spot in the back -I'm less keen on the food partner they chose here (Joyride at Lowside has a strong vegan game), but vegan offerings could of course change overtime so that's a bit of a TBD. And beyond that, this is just a great, central spot for a quick drink. Steps away from the N, multiple buses, and not far from Haight either. There is definitely a lack of quality beer places in this area these days (besides Alembic, another great spot), so I'm glad Woods took up this spot.

cute little brewery next to dolores park! i stopped by to just grab some cans to enjoy, but this seems like a very lovely place to grab a beer and enjoy the ambiance. the bartender was very hospitable and the beers were locally brewed and pretty delicious! service was great as well, i would definitely recommend and come back to try other beers.

OG burger with gluten bun (softer than most places) + 2022 McFadden white blend wine. Delish. Oakland spot has more options but the quality is the same here.

A great new addition to Cole Valley, and a really nice patio with heat lamps to keep you warm! I think the beer and wine menu at this location is a lot smaller than the Haight St location, but the quality remains the same! The food menu is also smaller, but a nice change up from the pizza + appreciate the vegetarian/vegan option. I'll be back for more!

All the Woods are neat but the back patio is really great and probably elevates this to be the best Woods. Their beer is always solid as well. I still haven't had a burger at this Lovely's but if it's anything like the Oakland one (which I've been to a number of times), this is going to be na incredible addition to the neighborhood.

I'm a sucker for Lovely's!! Such a good burger. Chilli fries were good too - a lot of meat and came piping hot. I know this is the norm for eating out in SF, but it pains me to pay $15+ for a glass of wine so I just got a beer. Great selection of beer tho!! Will be back obvi xo Oh and almost forgot... great ambience on the back patio! Tons of seating, a fire pit, and string lights. So qt

SO HAPPY to have Lovely's in SF! I had gone to the original Lovely's in Oakland months ago and haven't stopped thinking about it since. They are a part of Woods Cole Valley and only serve food from Lovely's on Thursday-Sunday. There is a good amount of street parking around and bus stops for transportation. When you get there, you order drinks at the bar and a waiter will come by once you find a table to take your order for food, tables are first come first serve. My friend and I both got the Drive Thru and made it a double (always make it a double). Honestly my perfect burger. We got 2 orders of fries but honestly could've gotten away with 1, lightly crispy and not too thick. We came on a Friday night and surprisingly able to find a table inside, but there is a plenty of seating outside. The outside patio is beautiful and they have heating lamps if you're able to snag a spot. Will definitely be coming back soon!!

Solid Beer, great back patio, very dog friendly, excellent burgers. Get the OG double, can't go wrong. Wasn't a huge fan of Woods beer in the past and hadn't had it in over a year, but the ones I tried (hazy and Oktoberfest) were solid so I feel like they've stepped their game up. Overall very solid addition to CV, I will be back for more burgers and beers.

We are fortunate to have such a delightful hangout in our neighborhood. The beer is delicious and the pairing with the food works great. Really enjoyed the laid back friendly atmosphere.

Ordered takeout from Lovely's. Burger was good, and the patties were thicker than I thought they'd be. The fries were a bit too salty for me. I would say it's a pretty good burger, but I would still prefer Beeps.

Oh my goodness. The beers in Woods are so good. The beer flavors are fun, exciting and enjoyable. I also love, love, loved their burgers and fries. The burgers are perfect. The sauces are perfect with the meat and the bun. The smash burger is crispy on the edges yet tender and juicy, never greasy. The fries are real potatoes and not overly salty. The location in Cole Valley is relaxing.

Great beers and burgers, amazing staff and service. The back patio is a highlight, which should stay warm with heat lamps running all winter.
