Wooglin's Deli & Cafe

I was excited to try this place for lunch. Ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. The wrap had literally no buffalo sauce in it. Completely dry and flavorless. There was literally one drop of it at the bottom of the wrap…. Will not be going back.

Wonderful local little diner that serves all day breakfast and is known for their baked goods and desserts as well. Booths and tables inside and a little outdoor patio for those Colorado Blue Sky days make it great for groups of 2-4. Great place to grab a quick bite and catchup with a friend or two or unwind with your significant other. I like to keep it simple - a classic breakfast with house baked bread.

I may not be a suitable person to write a review, as I frequent the restaurant so often. Highlights: Smothered breakfast burrito, the buffalo chicken ranch quesadilla, breakfast sandwich on everything bagel and the bakery items. Stuff like muffins go fast, if you want a muffin, show up earlier :) Staff is polite, and wait times are normally short. They have some outdoor seating. Prices seem fair, all restaurant prices seem high. I can't rate the coffee, but it seems popular. They do have tea. Fountain drinks are not from coca cola or pepsi, but there's a fair selection. If you come with a dog and sit outside, they will bring water for the dog. Sunday I will see some children, but I don't ever remember crying children, so that's not been an issue. You order at the counter not at the table, which is fine. Have a problem, they will take care of it in my experience, but I never have problems. It can be a bit packed waiting in line, if it's busy. You never know when it will be busy, some days, it's packed, other days less so. But never seems noisy, which is kind of amazing. People are just well behaved there I guess :) I eat there multiple times a week. The menu isn't extensive, quality over quantity. They also have a surprising number of different hot sauces, louisiana and mexican style mainly. Nothing too fancy, but a nice variety. If they read my post, thanks for all the great service!

Love, love love Wooglins! I had never been here before today and found them on Google! I love supporting local businesses and was blown away by the portion sizes. The sandwiches are huge and the potato salad was so good! The sandwiches are made with fresh quality ingredients! The cookies are huge too! The guy at the counter was helpful and personable. If I’m in the area agin I will be sure to pop in.

My wife and I visited Wooglin’s Deli in Colorado Springs for the first time today for an after-Valentine’s Day brunch. We always drive by and say we’re going to stop, and today we finally did! When you walk in, it’s an order-at-the-counter setup, and they bring the food to your table. The service was quick, which we really appreciated. We ordered the Club Avocado sandwich, the smothered breakfast burrito, a chai latte, and a vanilla caramel latte. Breakfast Burrito – It was solid! Packed with meat, which was great, but I’d love to see a bit more egg in there (I know there’s an egg shortage right now, though). The smothering sauce was mild but tasty. Both my wife and I enjoyed it. Club Avocado Sandwich – This one was just okay. It had plenty of meat, but it was a little bland. It might have been the bread, or maybe it could use a bit more sauce or seasoning? Not sure if there was mayo on it or not. Lattes – Both were well-made and enjoyable. One unique touch we noticed—there are paintings on the wall available for purchase, which adds a nice local/artsy feel to the place. Overall, great service, quick food, and a nice casual spot. We’ll definitely come back and try some other menu items!

Fantastic place for a variety of delicious fare! I stopped here for the first time today! My only regret is I NEVER stopped to eat here before today! I ordered the "DRAGON" breakfast choice and they made it gluten free for me because I suffer from severe Celiacs disease!! The food was a very generous portion of absolutely amazing food! I will definitely be back here! Additionally, I ordered the hot vanilla caramel latte coffee and it was delectable and satisfying!!! 10 stars out of 5 for sure! The employees are kind, professional and helpful...they also offer a "Real sugar soda" machine!! ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I got the TAB sandwich and a bowl of green chile, my son got the breakfast burrito smothered with green chili, and we both got house coffee. Everything was good except the sandwich, described as “overstuffed “, had an odd taste and was not even close to overstuffed. It was mostly bread. I would not get it again. Service and atmosphere were fine. They add a “Clover fee” which I was told is due to using their credit card service. It is 3.5% and to me is BS. Total bill was $48.31 including tip.

Really nice breakfast / lunch place. Good customer service, decent food. Food came out pretty fast and employees were nice and accommodating. Only complaint is that chai was on the watery size and their 12 oz drinks came in smaller than expected.

Our 5 yr old granddaughter said, " this is the best sandwich I ever had!" I was impressed that they had gf products. I've heard Wooglins is a great deli and now I know why. The hash brown potatoes are crispy, so good. A great Mediterranean wrap. Service was not at the table so we ordered at the counter. Very friendly and as it was hard for the kids to decide another person stepped up to help the people behind us. It was homey and we felt very relaxed. Made for a great lunch out.

Came here for brunch on a nice day in Colorado Springs. We placed our order at the counter and the food was brought out to us. The outdoor patio was a great place to eat and enjoy the sun. I personally had a white mocha coffee, and this breakfast dish they call "the dragon." Not sure why this is nickname, but it wasn't bad! It was basically a Mexican style breakfast with green chile, tortilla, your choice of eggs, and a lot of other miscellaneous foods hidden underneath the green chile. I'd probably recommend paying in cash since they charged us an extra 3.5% clover fee before tip which seemed like a very sneaky was of making the customer pay for their credit card purchases. You live and you learn I guess!

Food: Eggs cooks to perfection, varies of coffee to choose from, French toast is delicious. The dragon dish came with smother green chile topped. It was gone quick! Service: Ordered at the cashier, then someone will serve for you. Pretty quick service, but mostly self service, Ambiance: Some local art pieces for sales. Typical American diner vibes. Clean & minimal with some outdoor seating. Sum up: Wooglin's price is very reasonable, but I don't like that they charged clients more for 3.5% as the Clover fees without notified me first. So, with average breakfast I received, plus the Clover fees. It will be awhile before going back. I try to support local and hope they will not lose regular customer.

We did an online order for curbside pick up. The online ordering was easy to use and our order was ready pretty quickly. But when it was time to pick up, there was no designated curbside pick up spot. So we had to park towards the back of the lot and had to walk inside anyway. That was a little inconvenient, since I had my kids with me and was hoping I didn't have to go inside. The food was nice and hot. The portions are huge! I was already full after only finishing half my food. We ordered the Breakfast Combo #2, Cheese Scramble with Potatoes, and The Dragon --which is potatoes covered in green chili and served with a tortilla. Everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the green chili. The egg scramble was more like an omelette but still tasted OK. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more menu items. Definitely recommend.

Wooglin's is a fantastic little cafe that feels a bit like a blend of coffee shop and laid back breakfast joint. The owner is consistently taking our order when we walk in and he's really polite and easy going. Local art adorns the walls, it's small but bright with large windows, food is delish and the London fog is second to none. The dragon plate is our favorite with a huge portion that my husband easily shares with me. I highly recommend supporting this local gem.

Splendid lunch, potato salad was so delicious. Swiss and Pastrami was excellent. This place is comfy and fantastic staff & atmosphere. Definitely come and enjoy the greatness of food, drink and smiles.

WHEE! I had a portobello and swiss burger and it was amazing! I finished the entire thing! A friend had the breakfast burrito and said that it was a little on the hot side this time. Maybe we'll ask for it to be super mild next time. Thank you so much for supporting the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region! Thank you also for displaying the work of local artists! What fun! I love the dragon in the far left bathroom and Britta H's work displayed just outside it. There is a Pokemon Go stop at the Barnes location!

A dragon-themed deli cafe? I'm here for it. We drove by Wooglin's one day and I added it to my bookmarks, intending to order the breakfast burrito with green chili. We brought my MIL in for lunch and it was just a bit too late for the burrito so I got a bowl of the green chili instead. She ordered the quiche and my husband had a Reuben sandwich. Location has ample parking and staff were friendly, they were very accommodating for our MIL. The food was super fresh and portions were large - the quiche slice was easily the size of my head, so we shared that. The green chili had a good kick to it and a good amount of chicken, too. My guy really liked his sandwich, and I appreciate that veggies and ranch dressing were available as a healthy side.

This is one of the most disgusting plates of food I've been served, shocking they have good ratings at all... Picture should speak for itself lol

Amazing soft gluten free bread! The gluten-free cheesecake was really good to as well as the lavender lemonade

I have been a loyal customer until they moved up north where the quality of food and experience has greatly declined. The walnut wheat bread is as delicious as always however the turkey club left something to be desired...heavily :/ The meat was no better than a Subway & only had 2 slices. Won't make the drive again...

My sandwich tasted good the bread was little burnt along with the chips. We ordered a second sandwich we ordered with no tomatoes. It came with tomatoes and again chips were also burntish. The tea also tasted old. I am a little disappointed we have heard good things. Will try again.

Everything was outstanding, from the service, food and seating outside. The spicy blackberry margarita is a must!

Staff was super friendly, food came out quickly. I had a burger and my husband had a French dip. Both were ok, nothing special. I wasn't a fan of the cheese on my burger. The house chips were delicious as was the potato salad. We also tried the brownie and the carrot cake. Carrot cake was fabulous but the brownie was super dry and didn't taste freshly made. There were definitely some hits but several misses for us.

I tried Wooglin's for the first time at the new location at Barnes. A friend brought me a maple pumpkin chai from there and I was sold. So naturally, it was time to go in! I ordered the tuna salad sandwich on sourdough with potato salad, ham quiche with side salad, and another maple pumpkin chai. Everything was delicious! I had a small issue with my potato salad but they were so quick to fix the issue and make things right. The tuna salad was delicious and didn't have too much Mayo. Side note, I am going back to try the tuna melt on a bagel. I was advised this was the way to go! My little guy had the quiche which has quickly become a favorite there for us. He's almost two and ate 1/2 of that monstrous sized thing! The side salad was tasty and they have really good ranch there! The maple pumpkin chai was such a nice way to finish off lunch and had the right of flavor in it. So good. Be sure to stop in and try some things out! Happy eats! @platedforkim

First time visiting this place, came in for lunch and it was very crowded. I got the Thai Wrap with Chips on the side and the Lavender Lemonade. Food and Drink was good and we met the owner who is very nice. Will be back to try other dishes

Not overly impressed with their salads. The Mediterranean salad was a true disappointment. How can you have a Mediterranean salad without feta cheese or tomatoes? The lettuce was spring greens but some of the greens were not good. They put mozzarella shredded cheese on top- but barely any at all. Needless to say I left hungry. My friends got sandwiches but they did not impress me either. Place is very clean and staff is friendly but food is mediocre at best.

My wife and I have been wanting to go to Wooglin's for over a year now, but the parking lot was always very full with no space to park. Today, we found out why. Because of the cold weather, there were only four cars in the parking lot so we saw our chance to go, and we were glad that we did. I had the Philly sandwich, and my wife had the French Dip. The homemade chips were a great side to the sandwiches. Both sandwiches were absolutely fantastic! There was so much to choose from, and it was hard to decide what to order because it all sounded delicious. We arrived hungry and left very full. We can't wait to go back and try more sandwiches or burgers or wraps.

We were driving thru the area searching for geocaches and came across this local eatery. There were many options. I chose to make my own sandwich which even included frequently elusive sprouts. My DH went with the Philly cheese steak. We were please to spend our money locally and to have a nice lunch (for two days!) The house potatoes chips were okay.

To be honest it might have a cute tiny environment but the breakfast was a downfall, I ordered their French toast and it basically tasted how wet dogs smell. Their bacon was saltier than the salt flats themselves, the eggs were very undercooked, just big no no no for their breakfast. I give them 3 stars because theirs staff is friendly and the coffee was decently enough very good, not bitter or acidic at all.

I just sent there with a group of 12 ladies, some of whom were using walkers. They saved us seats beforehand, which was great. Since our group included some elderly ladies, they took our orders instead of having us do it at the register. Everyone loved their lunch! The servings are flavorful and generous. We will be going back for more!

I put in a large to-go order for my company meeting & I showed up at 7am and it was ready to go!! The gentleman in the front was so nice. He helped me bring everything to my car. Highly recommend this place!!!!

Had high hopes with the review i read. Sadly i was disappointed. Burnt cheese in the burrito and pancakes tasted off. Maybe a dirty flat top or the mixture not such which. Eggs came out flat! When i sat flat i mean as flat, like a pice of paper. Service was ok... not sure I'd be willing to try it again

Great place for breakfast. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. I ordered the "dragon" with green chili sauce. I loved it. The overall menu is not large, but there should be something good for everyone. The muffins are big and irresistible too. Next time I'll try the lunch menu

Wow... The huge turnoff was the blond cashier who was wearing a PRO ABORTION tee shirt. This was beyond offensive, inappropriate, in really bad taste and entirely unprofessional. Employees should not be wearing such inflammatory and divisive clothing that causes patrons to feel really uncomfortable. It's not the place or location to advertise your political views. Our group and two other tables discussed how tacky and appalling this was. I can't believe the owner allowed this. The food is relatively basic cafe style fare, the place was cute and quaint, but none of us will be returning. Not comfortable supporting a place that evidently allows their employees to publicly endorse the murder of babies on the clock.

Has become our "go to" place! We love to support local businesses, especially ones that just do it right! Great sandwiches and quesadillas, baby was happy with the cheddar and bean version. And can't beat the homemade chips! SOLID food and service, will absolutely be back!

One of our favorites for local breakfast best burrito around had breakfast bagel today very good. Service always great nice clean place. Have not had lunch here yet but if it's as good as breakfast I will try soon.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! I stop by for lunch occasionally and have never been disappointed. Recently I asked if they could cater a breakfast event. Owner Kelvin Thorne worked with me to find the right menu at the right price for 70 people. Everyone raved about it, especially the green chile breakfast burritos. I will go back again and again.

My favorite breakfast place in northeast Colorado Springs. I've been going there for over twenty years Because they started downtown and moved a few years ago to the current location. They bake their bread and all baked goods ON SITE and you can definitely taste the difference. Great green chili also. Locally owned and always clean and inviting.

This is a great little spot for breakfast or lunch and has outdoor seating! We really appreciated that the owner came out to check on us and talk to us. The service was five stars for sure. The quiche was excellent. The blueberry pancakes were good. Generous portions and the price was about right. I'd recommend this place. We really would give it five stars if they added a little privacy like plants or flowers or something outside near the tables. Feels a little exposed to the parking lot and busy Barnes road. In addition, small things like having to get our own napkins and when they cleared the table, the crust from the quiche fell on the ground and they didn't pick it up. They are just little things. I'd really call this a 4.5 star place.

In the process of eating a DELICIOUS green chile cheeseburger with equally amazing potato salad!! The burger patty is hand pressed and cooked to order, unlike other burgers I've eaten elsewhere (I'm looking at you, Five Guys...). With the toasted bun and melty cheese, and this is a burger I can see myself enjoying on a regular basis! My grandson had the grilled cheese sandwich with a side of chips. YUMMY sandwich made with two types of cheese. Perfectly toasted & oozing cheese... what's not to love! Thanks for the lovely dining experience Wooglin's!! PS: Bought a lemon bar and peanut butter cookie, but haven't yet tried them. Look super tasty tho!

First time at the 'new' location! They have done a fantastic job with the space. And of course, still the greatest sandwiches in Colorado Springs.

This feels like a local hangout. Located right next to Colorado College, this spot is a great for grabbing a sandwich. You'll be surrounded by students, which is kinda fun and makes people watching interesting! Their menu offers simple deli selections like wraps, quiche, soup and sandwiches. The food is pretty good! I crave this spot probably ever other month when I'm wanting to sit in a dark corner, eat a BLT and read a book. Their homemade chips are really yummy! Very salty, but so am I...so I like them. The ambiance is niche. It's darker inside with cafe tables and booths. The walls are covered in a variety of art. And it absolutely feels like a local spot, sort of tucked away. I enjoy this spot. It's there's something about it's quirky vibes that keep me coming back.

Love this place! Warm, inviting, friendly, spacious, and great food!!! They make everything good from pastries to sandwiches to burritos! The best is the never ending house coffee- made just perfectly!

I have debated about whether to write a review. I like to support locally owned business and the owners have worked hard to create a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the grilled chicken salad. It came with roasted chicken which didn't taste right and I couldn't eat it. I ask the owner and he said they roast it so it is ready for to-go orders, which I understand. He said then they put it on the grill but the new hires must not have remembered to do that. I didn't tell him the poppy seed dressing wasn't shaken up---it was just oil in a soufflé cup. I will return, but will ask a few questions about whatever I'm ordering so I don't feel like I've wasted my money.

Stopped at Wooglins when one of my sons had a a hair apt next store. For breakfast I had I eggs bacon, and potatoes. My other son had French toast and bacon. Nothing exotic but it was all cooked perfectly, I ordered my eggs over medium, perfect. Potatoes, perfect. Bacon, perfect. My son didn't want his French toast, only the bacon. So I had the French Toast too, again perfectly cooked.

Great tasting French Dip, Potato salad, BBQ Chicken Quesadilla, homemade chips, real sugar sodas, and delicious hamburger and fresh buns. Very Friendly staff. Definitely will be back. Their quiche looks amazing.

I wanted to"love" this place. I got the Club. It was overstuffed but had no flavor. You will notice that there is no bacon and the bread while fresh and home baked, was not toasted. I ate half of it and took the rest home. I ate it later that day and toasted the bread, applied mayonnaise generously, microwaved some bacon and had it for dinner. After my adjustments it totally delish. The potato chips served with the sandwich were over the top delish. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. I will go back.

This is a nice local place to grab a bite - breakfast or lunch. Their service is attentive and the food is reasonably priced.

Great local restaurant and I am glad they moved out east near me. I have eaten there many times when they were downtown and always enjoyed the deli sandwiches. The pastrami was my go-to choice back in the day. Since they have moved out east, I have eaten there for breakfast and lunch. They have a very filling breakfast sandwich that is made with 2 eggs and fresh-baked bread. It doesn't sound like a lot but I had friends finish their breakfast plates before I could finish my sandwich. I just had a green chile cheeseburger that was delicious. A dash of seasoning makes a burger pop and this one was great. A really satisfying thick beef patty with chopped green chiles and cheese. Slices of tomatoes, onions, and some mixed greens make for a really good burger. My one regret is not venturing away from the pastrami sooner. Life is more complicated now that I have to choose between the pastrami or a burger. Whatever your choice, don't forget to get a cup of the chicken green chile soup.
