Where to Eat and Drink in Dogpatch, San Francisco | Eater SF

"Inner Sunset sandwich standby the Wooly Pig has moved to Dogpatch, bringing its favorite banh mi sandwiches and more with it. The namesake Wooly Pig sandwich, an understandably popular choice, is made with “Shanghai-style braised caramel pork belly” with arugula and pickled daikon on a brioche roll. Stir-fried dishes, salads, and coffee are options, too." - Justine Jones

The Wooly Pig sandwich was a let down. Too much meat and not enough crunch from the arugula; the flavors and the textures were out of balance. The texture reminded me of pulled pork rather than sliced pork belly, which was how it was advertised on the menu (“Shanghai-style braised caramel pork belly”). More arugula and more pickled onion would’ve helped this sandwich immensely. Or even a few shreds of pickled cabbage because the arugula is too delicate to balance out the pork. The shrimp chips were the best part of the meal.

The food looks a lot better, but I forgot to take pictures until halfway through eating the delicious meal! We got the Szechuan chicken and curry udon - every bite was an explosion of flavor. The restaurant fully beat my expectations (admittedly, I was a bit confused about what the food would be like going in) 😬 but everything was amazing. Would highly recommend!!!!

Very clean restaurant. The Banh chicken sandwich was delicious. Salad had a wonderful homemade light dressing.

June 2025: First time back since 2021. This place has totally evolved into a legitimate sit down diner type cafe that has some delicious food. I was craving a Vietnamese sandwich and ordered the tofu again. It was super delicious 😋. My wife ordered the breakfast veggie burrito 🌯 and it was delicious too. The guy at the table next to us had the chicken szechuan rice plate and it looked really good too! Dinner menu is available on weekdays and I want to try one of their dinner burritos! Will definitely be back soon for more delicious food! 2-14-21: Ordered two bahn mi sandwiches to go. One was the tofu and the other was the grilled pork. Both were delicious. Would definitely come back again for more goodies.

We stopped by this afternoon for lunch during our visit in San Francisco. At first glance, the restaurant was well organized, clean and filled with great vibes from the customers and their staffs. We ordered David’s Fried Chicken Sandwich, Wooly Pig Sandwich, Szechuan Chicken/Tufu, Vermicelli Bowl Grilled Pork/Tufu, Taiwanese Pork Cutlet Sandwich and Curry Udon. Everyone polished their plate and said they loved their dish. I had their Grilled Pork Curry Udon and I was blown away with how tender the grilled pork was and the flavour of the curry broth was on point. I hesitate ordering beef or pork now because of my declined in saliva production due to radiation and chemo treatments in 2017. I was amazed that I actually enjoyed eating grilled pork again. Thanks Wooly Pig!!! Overall, our experience with their restaurant/staffs/food superseded our expectation during our food tour in San Francisco. I highly recommend you visit here during your visit in San Francisco.

Google
Curry Udon is fantastic! Asian cubano was too greasy. You'll ocasionally need the staff to come and clean the mess from the previous customer - frankly service is not that good.

Busy place in the dog patch area, right across from the M stop at the corner of 3rd st and 20th street. I had the Breakfast Bagel, egg and sausage with a small amount of greens and sliced tomato, the bagel needed to be more on the toast side. I was not impressed with the item. The place was preparing food to be picked up for the lunch rush. Clean area. I paid $18.65 for the bagel and espresso. Parking was very hard to find.

Google
Ordered the grilled pork vermicelli bowl with a pork imperial roll, which was delicious. The food was very flavourful and I could tell that a lot of care went into preparing and packaging it. It was an UberEats order after a very long day, and really hit the spot. Would love to visit in person. Thank you!

Yelp
I first tried their katsu curry udon at Outsidelands and have been craving it ever since. I still think about the curry udon every night. Seriously love at first bite. This was our pre-concert meal and I'm so glad we got to stop by. My friends and I each ordered curry udon but with different toppings, which includes tofu, chicken katsu, or pork. The curry broth was sooo flavorful and had great aroma. Udon were long and slurp-able. I like the green veggies that they put in there. I devoured my entire bowl of soup. Such a perfect meal for a cold chilly day in SF. Service was polite and quick. I would definitely come back again. :)

Yelp
Surprising good. Had lunch here with a few friends. My kind of place. The price was reasonable and the food was very good. I had the Udon. Taste: 5 Quality: 5 Quantity: 4 - a little bit more udon would have been great Aroma: 5 Presentation: 5 Service: 2 - it took a long time for the udon to arrive, everyone else at the table were done by the time I got my food. Parking: 2- street parking. I had to park a few blocks away in the rain. Atmosphere: 4 Selection: 4 Alcohol/beer: did not have any Dessert: did not have any Value: 5 The service and parking knocked a point off- although the food was very good. Will be back if I can.

Yelp
I love the convenience and quality of Wooly Pig! Their staff is so friendly and the space is feels very open and clean. It's right in front of the T and my friends love going after climbing at the nearby bouldering gym. They definitely have SF prices but the ginger chicken jook is my go to when I'm feeling under the weather and I love the bread they use for their sandwiches!

Yelp
I got the steak curry udon. Sooooooo delicious. Like I am actually excited about trying more items here! I was sick and wanted something warm and flavorful so decided to go with Wooly Pig. They were accommodating because they usually make the steak medium but I had asked for it well done and they were glad to accommodate me. I ordered for delivery so it came packaged separately and I had to combine them myself. It was incredibly delicious. A little pricey but worth it!

Yelp
This is a favorite of many people in our office, so we order here often. I try to order different things, but every time I gravitate back to the same few items. The Curry Udon is my favorite item on the menu. The curry is warming and delicious, the flavors are delicious. The flank steak with it is tender, served on the side so it doesn't overcook. I also like the five spice bahn mi, very good and filling. I've had the Ginger Chicken Jook, which was also tasty and light on your stomach if you are not feeling well. I don't think I've ever heard a single compliant about the food from Wooly Pig from any of our orders. I love the curry udon here, absolutely would order it anytime. Especially now that it is getting cold out.

Yelp
A solid bite to eat! Service was quick and the food was cozy. The style of pan Asian fusion is always hard for me to love-love, but it was overall tasty. The curry udon with tofu was good and would get it again if I was in the mood.

Yelp
My husband and I originally wanted to eat at Plow, but it was a 45 min wait on a Tuesday at lunchtime. Neither of us had the energy to stick it out, and so we checked out Wooly Pig instead. We had gone to Wooly Pig maybe 12 years ago, enjoyed it, back when it was located at the Inner Sunset location. We decided to give it a shot, glad we gave it try. I remember enjoying my sandwich from 12 years ago, but I didn't realize the restaurant had Asian influences for their sandwiches, which is quite unique. I got the Five-Spice Chicken Banh Mi, which was decent. It was served with a choice of salad or shrimp chips, in which I chose the shrimp chips, and truthfully it was an unsatisfying side. My husband got a sandwich (can't even remember which one at this point), and he had asked for sweet potato fries. It came served to him with a salad, and when he mentioned he had actually asked for sweet potato fries, they didn't realize, and were really nice about it, and gave sweet potato fries in addition to salad. That was so nice of the restaurant! However, honestly, the sad part about what I remember from this restaurant is that the high chair they gave us was FILTHY. It looked gross when they gave it to us, so we wiped it down. Our wet-one cloth was soiled (disgusting! For reference, usually when we wipe down high chairs at other restaurants, they are surprisingly not that soiled), so we used a second one, and even THAT one was gross too. Wow. It just made me disgusted and think about the cleanliness (or lack of?) behind the scenes within their establishment. I was so disgusted. Sandwiches were adequate, nothing special, and especially after that high-chair incident, we will probably never go back.

Yelp
I went to their pop-up stall at the Night Market on 9-1-24 after the 9-Man Volleyball Tournament. They had two food options available to choose from. Either the Curry Udon Noodle Soup with Fried Chicken or the Taiwanese Pork Sandwich with Shrimp Chips. My wife and I split the... Curry Udon Noodles: Thai style coconut lime curry broth, udon, seasoned choy with Fried Chicken (4/5). The broth vibrant, fresh, tart, tempered with the richness of the coconut milk, with a slight quick from the red curry. It was so delicious! The thigh meat chicken was breaded like the standard Taiwanese crunchy breading. They did a good job managing the crowds of people. Sure, there was a long wait (25+ min) for the food. But it did come out hot and so worth it! I will have to visit their brick-and-mortar cafe. Justin was working there and he was patient and friendly, despite the hungry patrons.

Yelp
I've been to Wooly Pig previously but for some reason never had the chance to leave a review till recently. We were on the way home from Kaiser and wanted to stop by to grab lunch. I previously have gotten a banh mi previously which was delicious! I wanted to get something else this time so I ordered Asian Cubano & Wooly Pig! Both were delicious but my personal favorite was Asian Cubano. The pork charsiu & pulled pork had lots of flavor along with the house pickles on a ciabatta bread! I personally would order this again because it was that good! I believe all the sandwiches come with a house salad as well! Overall I waited about 10 minutes for my order and my husband and I killed the sandwiches when we got home! It was delicious!

Yelp
I've heard about the hype of this place. And it was all... mostly the rage. I had the Szechuan chicken dish which was particularly mid. But the pork cutlet and the curry noodle dish were really tasty. I enjoyed the take on the Asian fusion as if I was traveling Asian countries one at a time. Good quality. Fair price. Quick service! Would come again

Yelp
Stopped by on a weekday for dinner before the warriors game. We ordered the wooly pig Sando and the curry katsu udon. The wooly pig is super flavorful and I love the combination of pulled pork and pork belly. Pork belly was cooked to perfection but it was very heavy on the spices so it may not be appealing for all. I had really high hopes for the curry udon but was left a bit disappointed. The broth wasn't as flavorful was I would've liked. The katsu was good though. It's like something I could've whipped up in a kitchen. Pretty pricey dinner $42 for 2 dishes after taxes and tip.

Yelp
I've been coming here since they were in the inner sunset. Their sandwiches were delicious and unique. They expanded their menu a lot when they moved to their current location. Some my favorites are the chicken jook, the vegetarian banh mi and the fish burrito. My husband loves the Szechuan Chicken. The staff is friendly and warm. They have a super cool mural on the wall and I just bought a mug with the same design! Stop in and try their unique and tasty dishes. It's perfect for lunch if you work in Mission Bay.

Yelp
We just had to come here again for the third time! What can I say..it's a great place for Awesome yummy food! We appreciate the delicious food they serve and the people that work there are wonderful and kind! Especially the owners John and Justin whom we had the pleasure to meet! Just going there and knowing you're going to be well satisfied and full brings great joy to our tummies!! We tried something new to eat today! The best thing is when John one of the owners told me the difference of sandwich they serve! I tried the actual Wooly Pig sandwich and it was really flavorful a lot of spices in the pork which was too much for me so instead I gave it to my hubby and he loved it! :)) He got the vermicelli grilled pork bowl! Everything was Amazing!! So of course..I needed to buy another sandwich for me for later! My favorite is the Grilled Pork! I really love the Sriracha-aioli sauce And those incredible home-made chips they provide! Sooo delicious!! Thanks again to Justin for giving me a little sample of Szechwan Chicken with white rice! OMG!! It was really good! I'm need to get that next time for sure! Thank you Justin for that! We will see you guys again soon! :)) Come by and support this place!!

Yelp
Food: 4/5 - Wooly burger yum!! The pulled pork could be more juicy, some parts a bit dry . Got it with a tasty house salad (tomatoes and mixed greens) - Fish katsu curry delicious!!! Surprisedly amused this place has such tasty Asian cuisine menu items Service: 3/5 pretty neutral takes order from tablet Ambiance: 4/5 cozy chill small place

Yelp
Wow just stumbled upon this spot and damn "made with hella love" -- love to see it. As a San Francisco native it made me smile. The menu looks insane. Like I need it all. I was greeted by the sweetest hostess Regina and its customer service like this that keeps me coming back to a place. So helpful. I got the steak salad! Steak was so tender and yummy. Ask for jalapeno and extra fish sauce if you're a savage like me. I can't wait to come back and try everything!

Yelp
Wooly Pig is a great option for a fast-casual lunch in Dogpatch! I haven't tried their food since they were in the Inner Sunet, so I was excited to see a new and extensive menu. I came with two other friends and we ordered a bunch to share: the wooly pig sandwich, curry udon with fried chicken, grilled chicken banh mi, and the thai steak chopped salad. My favorites were definitely the wooly pig sandwich (tried and true!!) and the curry udon. We also tried their housemade panna cottas (hojicha and thai tea) and their rice crispies and both were delicious! Can't wait to come back and try more items!

Yelp
Ordered the Taiwanese pork cutlet sandwich at the night market they recently attended. The bun was soft and toasted. The pork cutlet was of good thickness and fried perfectly. It also comes with shredded iceberg lettuce, pickles and honey mustard sauce with a side of shrimp chips. I wish the pork had a bit more of the white pepper seasoning, because it's missing that "kick" that Taiwanese pork cutlets are known for.

Yelp
Wooly Pig is definitely one of my go-to spots in Dogpatch!! My rec is 100% the ginger chicken jook--it comes with Chinese donut, and it's so good and comforting especially on a chilly night mm I can still imagine the taste!! I know there's a heat wave rn oops but perfect time to go get their raspberry lemonade then. I've also tried the curry udon + szechuan crispy fish, both were also yummy, but I still recommend the jook!!!

Yelp
A conveniently located asian fusion restaurant that we often go to after some bouldering. They have a variety of interesting fusion dishes that aren't too bad. The quality seems a bit inconsistent though. We first tried it a year ago and we loved the dishes, but we tried again more recently and was a bit disappointed. The Taiwanese fried cutlets were a bit dry and the rice too mushy for my taste. The fish dish on the other hand wasn't too bad, and the miso tomyum soup worked surprisingly well!

Yelp
My friends and I were in town for the weekend and needed something to hold us over until dinner. We found this spot walking distance from our airbnb and so glad we did! It's a cafe, you order at the counter and hopefully there's a table for you. We shared three sandwiches so we can all try everything. We ordered the bahn mi, the fried chicken, and the Taiwanese pork cutlet. They each came with either a salad or shrimp chips. The chips were so good, I love them! The sandwiches were all amazing. I really loved the Taiwanese pork cutlet. The flavors were on point. I also got one of the black sesame treats to go! It was a nice snack later. It was perfect!

Yelp
I always have eaten takeaway from here and it's been delicious. Pork vermicelli bowl - good flavors with quality ingredients and I ate it all! 5 spice chicken banh muffins sandwich - first of all the shrimp chips take me back to being a kid in the sunset! So good. Then the sandwich the bread is good the fillings and sauce. Yum! Not sure what I will try next but I'm always recommending this spot at work because it's different and flavorful and the service has always been good. My order was correct both times. Thank you! I can't wait to come in person and check out the actual counter and ambiance.

Yelp
===TL;DR=== - Curry udon - Lieng's bagel ===TMI=== Came here for a 2nd bite since I was in the neighborhood (snacked next door at Hu Tong Jian Bing). Parking was relatively easy. I liked their curry udon. Although it's not your typical Japanese or Chinese curry, that hint of Thai red curry in broth form was a nice touch. The fried chicken was generous, thick cuts and not dry. Sadly, the udon didn't pull the weight as it just breaks - I like them more bouncy. Lieng's bagel aka lox bagel. Honestly, you can't mess this up unless the salmon isn't up to par. Otherwise, it's always a good choice.

Yelp
Wow what a great find! We happened to stop in at the Wooly Pig looking for a quick lunch after a doctor appointment. It's a bit easy to miss if just driving by.This is totally worth a stop! The curry udon bowls were super popular looking at what everyone was eating when we walked in and it didn't disappoint! Delicious udon in generous Thai-style curry broth with large pieces of tofu. The Chinese chicken salad was also great- tasty light dressing, fresh chicken and vegeys. We also enjoyed the iced Vietnamese coffee. Service was super friendly and the place was packed at lunchtime. Love the Hella Love sign decor too!
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
Woooow!!!!! The curry udon hit the spot! I had it for breakfast on a cold rainy day and it was just perfect. The broth wasn't too coconut-y which usually makes me hesitant for these kinds of soups. Noodles were cooked perfectly and veggies were soft but not overly cooked. Fried chicken was a nice addition. It was just perfect with a squeeze of lime. Walking in I had no expectation to find good Asian food based on the ambiance but I have to say this soup was top notch and I'd definitely enjoy it again and again. Service was friendly, attentive, and pretty quick. Tables of mostly 2-4 available. Restroom was clean. We had to park a few minute walk away on a weekday brunch time. I am not a coffee snob but the latte with oat milk was nice and not too milky. They had some cool rice crispy options that were intriguing I may try another time.

Yelp
Cute little Asian fusion restaurant in Dogpatch! They have decent veggies options and this curry udon w tofu was actually so good (note: they use chicken broth and fish sauce in the soup). It was very flavorful and the noodles had good texture. The tofu was a bit under seasoned and charred, but overall I liked this dish. We came during peak lunch hours and was able to find a small table and the food took about ~20 min to come out. Would come here again.

Yelp
This was my first time checking out The Wooly Pig & I could tell it was a popular place based on how many people were ordering their lunch for pick up! The staff was very friendly & got through all of the orders quickly & efficiently. It was very clean & well maintained inside as well. My coworker & I decided to split lunch, so we ordered: the Vegetarian Banh Mi (fried tofu, mushroom wrapped in tofu skin, pickled carrots and daikon, fresh herbs & jalapeños, spicy peanut hoisin sauce, sriracha aioli served on garlic butter french roll) & the Szechuan Tofu (Sweet and spicy tofu, seasonal veg, jasmine rice). Every single bite was SO delicious & full of flavor! It was more than enough food for the both of us, & they have so many other options I'm dying to try the next time I come back!

Yelp
I can't believe I've walked past this place so many times and only today found out they serve such a diverse range of foods, from Bahn mi and burgers to curry noodles and more. I ordered the Wooly Pig Burger and a Fried Chicken Curry for my special one, as these two dishes had rave reviews. In my opinion, the Wooly Pig Burger flavor is really delicious, but I'm not a fan of the shredded meat texture. However, the noodle curry blew me away; it tasted just like home. The aroma isn't strong, but with the first sip of the broth, you can taste the coconut milk, paste, chicken flavor, and fish sauce. It's perfect for warming up on a cloudy day. Interior is small, has limited seatings and it's first come, first serve. One bathroom available. Very popular place for young people.

Yelp
I've been ordering from Wooly Pig for at least two years now, and as a Taiwanese girl, I have to say their Taiwanese pork chop rice bento is the closest I've found to authentic flavors in the area. Most times, the pork chop is tender and delicious, but it can be hit or miss. Occasionally, I've received a tough, dry cut, which can be disappointing. One thing I've noticed recently is that the portions have shrunk. The takeout boxes are now much smaller--previously, they used large brown boxes, but now they use smaller white ones. I also remember getting cabbage with the bento, which isn't included anymore. There's not enough rice either, especially for the price. That being said, the service has always been friendly, and I've also tried the Taiwanese fried chicken sandwich, which is decent. While I enjoy the food, I do think the value has decreased over time with the portion changes. I hope they consider bringing back the bigger portions and better packaging.

Yelp
LOVE this spot - my favorite things to order are the curry udon and ginger chicken jook. These are perfect for cold weather days or on days when I'm feeling sick. Both dishes are super flavorful!

Yelp
Friendly neighbored Taiwanese / Vietnamese food. I love how much variety is there and I am a fan of both of those cuisine. I also died at the fact that they have shrimp chips along with the Bah Mi !! The Bah Mi's bread was done to perfection so I loved it. Would recommend for anyone in the dog patch area for quick bite :)

Yelp
Wooly Pig is an absolute for anyone seeking an Asian comfort food. The menu at Wooly Pig boasts an impressive array of dishes, each a masterpiece of flavors. Whether you're a fan of classic comfort staples or eager to explore more unique Asian culinary offerings, this place has it all. I highly recommend the curry udon! The staff at Wooly Pig is not only friendly but also well-versed in guiding you through their menu, ensuring you make the most of your dining adventure. The cozy atmosphere adds an extra layer of warmth to the overall experience, making it a perfect spot for solo diners or groups alike. I must give a special nod to the authenticity of the ingredients and the skillful blend of spices that make each bite a culinary delight. Wooly Pig has undoubtedly earned its reputation as a go-to destination for Asian comfort food enthusiasts.

Yelp
Wooly Pig is a fantastic Asian fusion restaurant that has quickly become one of my favorite casual hangout spots with friends. One dish that stood out to me is their salad, which I absolutely loved. The vegetables were incredibly fresh, crisp, and flavorful, making it a refreshing and satisfying choice. It's clear that Wooly Pig places a high priority on using quality ingredients, and it shows in the taste and presentation of their dishes. What I particularly appreciate about Wooly Pig is the wide variety of food they offer, drawing from different cuisines to create a diverse and exciting menu. Whether you're in the mood for something light and healthy or craving a more indulgent, flavorful dish, they have something to suit every palate. The fusion of Asian flavors with other culinary traditions results in unique and delicious combinations that keep me coming back for more. The ambiance at Wooly Pig is also worth mentioning. It's a great casual place to hang out with friends, thanks to its relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Whether you're meeting up for a quick bite, enjoying a leisurely meal, or just spending quality time with friends, Wooly Pig provides the perfect setting. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers fresh, tasty food and a laid-back vibe, I highly recommend giving Wooly Pig a try.

Yelp
Great togo or sit down place in Dogpatch - loved their Becky's bagel with beetroot hummus. Will definitely try other things next time.

Yelp
We came here to meet a friend last summer. The menu was very interesting and I was excited to try a couple of dishes. The curry udon with fried chicken was delicious! The soup is light but packed with flavor. The chicken is beautifully seasoned and tender, though not so crispy since it's sitting in soup. The noodles are a teeny bit overcooked but it doesn't detract from the dish. I would get this again. The Taiwanese pork chop sandwich was not my favorite. The pork was cooked well but the whole sandwich was a bit sweet. This is a quaint shop and I would probably come back to have the curry udon again!

Yelp
So disappointed... sad to say that we ordered food take out. No Chopsticks, No Spoons, No Forks, No hot sauce, nor the ordered (payed) Aoli sauce either. I'm ill and was craving a nice warm soup just to have to suck it out of the tube/plastic cup in my hotel. How would the owner feel if this was HIS order packed to his Hotel Room? A bit annoyed. Think outside the box for those that are visiting guys. $90 for 4 items and couldn't provide the utensils, paids sauces and or sauces...

Yelp
Great eats here. Had the pork banh mi recently (which came w/side salad) and it was delicious. I've also had Udon with curry fried chicken and breakfast sandwich in the past and they were geat too. Missing this places since it moved out of the Sunset. Good food and service.

Yelp
I recently tried Wooly Pig in the Dogpatch for lunch, and it was a delightful surprise. It was better than expected, and I found it to be fairly priced for what you get. The portions are incredibly filling, and what sets this place apart is the creative mix of Asian flavors in a traditional sandwich. I can't say enough about the Wooly Pig sandwich; it was incredibly good. I'm looking forward to going back and sampling more from their menu. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Finally got to try this spot. I had the curry udon soup topped with steak. So delicious. Hits the right spot when you are craving for soup. Not too heavy, little spice kick and the meat was cooked perfectly. I got the raspberry lemonade as well. Walk up and order service. Plenty of seating. WiFi is available. Street parking is a little challenging. Will come back and try another food item soon.

Yelp
This is a casual asian fusion eatery, clean and bright inside. I was looking at the online menu and didn't see bagels or breakfast sandwiches yet I saw some pics online. Anyways, I went inside to check it out and they had a whole section of bagels and sandwiches on the menu. I finally settled with an everything bagel toasted with beet lemon and dill hummus for under $5. It was okay, bagel was on the thinner side and when I opened the bagel to see the hummus it was a very thin layer almost like where I can see the bagel underneath the spread.

Yelp
delicious! after driving by for ages, had lunch. Love the Wooly Pig sandwich + lychee ice tea.

Yelp
One of my go-to places in the Dogpatch! I usually go for their sandwiches or lunch menu, but was pleasantly surprised by their other menu items. The interior is very clean and spacious, especially after they have remodeled! There's a counter to order your food, and our food came out within 10 minutes Curry Udon with Grilled Pork ($18)- 4/5 A comforting and warm bowl of noodles on a cold rainy day! I thought it was very unique that they used Thai curry as the base instead of Japanese curry, so the soup is not as thick and more mild compared to the regular Japanese curry udon. The grilled pork was tender with bits of char on it. Overall, will be returning to Wooly Pig for some to-go food.

Yelp
Honestly, I've been wanting to hit up Wooly Pig for awhile. It was always either closed or sandos sold out (but that was just one time). The lady who took my order was very nice. It's a straightforward menu, so you're not overwhelmed with too many options. Honestly, because it was my first time I had to go with the sandwich named after the establishment (or maybe it's the other way around). EITHER WAY...it's a pork belly sandwich that gives you a shrimp chip option! I never see that, so that was a nice lil twist. It was a sunny day, sat at the counter looking out to 3rd St. A solid city spot for those not wanting to venture out to other more congested areas of the city. Lots of seating, and just a nice chill spot to grab a bite. I'll be back, now part of my monthly routine in the Dogpatch.

Yelp
Came to Wooly Pig Saturday afternoon ~ 12:30pm for lunch with my roommate, and the place was already halfway packed! Lots of natural lighting in the restaurant, with a good amount of tables for seating. Ordered: David's Fried Chicken w/ side of Ono Shrimp Chips (~$18) - Fried chicken itself was nicely deep fried and juicy! Flavor wise was okay, i could taste a hint of 5 spice curry powder, but it wasn't too overpowering; The coleslaw inside was refreshing though! The Shrimp Chips were flavorful, huge, and super crunchy. Overall, it's a nice place to dine in and eat, without feeling rushed. Service was great, and i appreciate their asian fusion lunch menu not being too complicated to order from!

Yelp
My team has ordered delivery from Wooly Pig on many occasions, we keep it in the rotation because it has many tasty vegetarian options. People have especially liked the banh mis and udon soup.

Yelp
Awesome Asian comfort food! Love the small cozy interior and lots of natural light. You order at the counter first and the food comes out pretty fast. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and got their classic Wooly Pig sandwich with a side salad. The sandwich was deceptively large -- definitely had leftovers! The pork is very lean which I liked and they did a good job of balancing the arugula and onions with it. Overall, a great local place that I would be happy to go to again!

Yelp
Fantastic food and super positive vibes. My wife and I were at the hospital for 3 nights and the menu was so diverse we came every day! Absolutely delicious, robust flavors. Would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you Wooly Pig team for taking such great care of us!

Yelp
This place has been on my to-visit list for a while and it did not disappoint. I got the fried chicken sandwich which was perfectly done and had just the right amount of flavor. They also had a lot of vegan options that aren't highlighted clearly on the menu. We got the tofu banh mi which can be made vegan by removing the sriracha aioli. The tofu was very well seasoned but the banh mi was slightly dry due to the lack of sauce. Hope they add a vegan sauce soon! Service was cal so great and staff was friendly. It's in a nice part of Dogpatch with lots of windows so the afternoon light made the ambience even better.

Yelp
Really good udon curry with tofu. Flavors were deep and satisfying. So good! I've already referred a coworker :)

Yelp
A decent banh mi but I cannot fathom how it's okay to sell packaged orange juice in plastic to-go cups. In their defence they do not claim it as freshly squeezed and also gave me an alternative to pick from but why not just sell orange juice bottles instead?
