Cypress Bartender Faces Criminal Charges After Allegedly Overserving Patron | Eater Houston

"The Cypress bar where bartender Miguel Rizo worked has come under scrutiny after Rizo was arrested on charges of over-serving alcohol to a patron, Zachary Castro, who later caused a car crash that killed Mayra Ospina while she was helping a disabled vehicle in a ditch. The employer has stated that Rizo is no longer employed at the bar and is cooperating with authorities by providing all requested information." - Amy McCarthy

Had awesome wings and great service high! World of beer is great for prices, options, and vibes.

I dined in during happy hour with my husband last night. Beer was fairly cheap but taste was so so. The sharable menus during happy hour were great, though. Also $10 pretzel was good but I wish they had different sauce other than mustard. Overall, I recommend this place. Especially, happy hour deal is really worth it.

Google
Happy hour until 7PM, not a whole lot of food selections during HH, but everything tasted delicious. I prefer outside seatings but it does take a little more time for the waiters to come around.

The Mahi tacos on a Tuesday is what got me in the door. We went during happy hour and grabbed that plus beef barbacoa tacos that were reasonably priced 2 for $10.95. They were pretty filling and tasted fine. I wish they didn't chop up the Mahi so much. Barely tasted it with all the slaw and didn't taste that it was blackened. Never had beef barbacoa before so that was unique. Salsa was smoked and chips were thick and tasted fresh but I personally like the thin ones. Needed more salsa but I didn't ask. Also had some Mongolian sweet bbq wings that had that stereotypical Mongolian bbq taste that were fried well but would try another sauce next time. Husband had the build your own burger that was unique and he ended up cowboying it up with bbq sauce. Mac and "spicy" pepperjack cheese wasn't spicy at all and I could barely get the feel or taste of the macaroni. Kind of seemed like a fried ball of carbs thatI wouldn't get again. Overall, service was fine, food was okay, inexpensive during happy hour. It wasn't busy. Will probably go again some time and try completely different things.

I took my mom out to lunch today. We tried this restaurant and wow amazing. We got there early so it was just us and a few people at the bar. But the waiter and bar tender were amazing the whole time. We are most definitely coming back on Monday for Valentine's day with the family so they can experience it as well. We order the unlimited mimosa and for appetizer we had the donuts with a maple sauce I believe and nice crispy bacon pieces drizzle on top. We also had nachos and the most delicious fried Mac and cheese balls and yes we order the donuts and Mac and cheese twice. I had the chicken BBQ flat bread and my mom had the fish and chips for our meal. I 100 percent recommend this restaurant and sign up for there rewards as well it comes in handy.

Google
Really great place to get a beer and a meal. They have a huge selection of beer on tap. Cuisine is multinational (hence "world" in the title). Inside, the atmosphere is like a sports bar and they have a large space for dining outside, which is really nice in the warm months. The German pretzel is a must-try.

Sheila

Google
The is a great happy hour location for 3-7 on week days. There is currently outdoor and indoor seating available at which they are able to accommodate large groups. I didn't see an option for reservations so I suggest getting there early if you have a lot of people. I ended up waiting at the bar for approximately 30 minutes to be seated outside for a group of 7.

Rahul P.

Google
Great place to try out variety of beer, they have plenty option to choose from. I tried their Jail break brewing company IPA, it was good. We also tried pretzel with cheese and chicken taco they both were outstanding. Totally worth visiting if you love beer meeting friends and some food. They also have outdoor sitting which is dog 🐕 friendly.

Yelp
Came here to try some new beers and it was a busy Saturday night! I was able to find seating at the end of the bar and have service by Marcus, Devin & Destiny. My friend and I ordered our own flight which consisted of 4 beer selections. There are over 60 beers on tap I believe and they have bottles from various countries. I loved my entire selection (pic below) and so did my friend. For our food we ordered shrimp & fries which were nice and hot, medium sized shrimp came with a red Thai sauce and an order of 2 shrimp tacos that came with tortilla chips & salsa. We cleaned our plates and service by all were great and attentive. We were even able to sample a few other beers. Will definitely return to this location of World of Beer. Parking btw is the garage next door which they do validate but it's only 1/2 off.

Yelp
Have been to this World of Beer location several times and have not been disappointed - except for this most recent time, which I'm hoping is a one-off. Usually, the service has been good and the Staff friendly and helpful. I'm just going to comment on our last visit, earlier this week for dinner after a movie at the Regal across the street. We asked to be seated outside on a nice cool evening. Our Waitstaff came soon thereafter and asked what we wanted to drink and we asked for two waters. Then we ordered - my partner ordered the Cali bowl with shrimp ($15.50) and I ordered a French Onion Soup ($8.00) and two street tacos ($11.95). A couple of minutes later, another Wait Staff came (I assume, after noticing no utensils or drinks at our table) and asked if we had been helped. We responded "yes," and then she rolled her eyes and walked away. And then we waited . . . and waited . . . and waited. No water, no utensils - nada. A nearby table, who had come after us were given water glasses by another Wait Staff, and then a third Wait Staff walked around with a tray with five water glasses, walked up and down the aisle and then went back inside. And still . . . we waited. We thought about leaving, since we felt we had been abandoned. Finally, after about 15 minutes, our food arrived with another Server. We asked that Server for utensils and water, which he promptly brought us, apologizing that it was very crowded (although it wasn't. I've been here when it is crowded and I'm a fairly patient person.) Anyway, the entrees were good. The French Onion Soup (which I've had a couple of times before) was disappointing - it had way too much soggy bread in it and too few onions. The broth was not as bold as in the past. Really disappointing. I'll try again one more time and then, if it's not better will give up. I really like French Onion Soup and theirs has been delicious in the past. And, when the original Wait Staff came by (while we were eating), she apologized and then was pretty attentive. I want to point out the service issue as a warning, but overall I like this place and my experiences here in the past have been better. And the food is good. So, I'm not going to "ding them" on the score because of this one experience, which I would rate a 2 based on the service and the soup being disappointing.

Yelp
Came for dinner with a couple friends because we were craving burgers. We came in during happy hour and it was surely packed! I think they had some sort of trivia going on while we were there. After being seated, our server Brett shortly came over to greet us and took our drink orders. When he came back with our drinks, he took our orders. There was a bit of a wait for our food (we all got burgers and fries) which was understandable considering how packed it was for HH. The wait was worth it though! I ordered the Mac Bite Burger with fries. Wow, it was so yummy. Bacon always compliments a burger well, but the Mac 'n cheese patty was the right touch! The burger was well assembled and tasty. I will mention that the burger has sriracha aioli on it but there was only the tiniest dab of it in my burger, so I requested more on the side. The sauce really solidified the burger for me! The fries were also good; fries are usually a hit or miss, but I was pleased with these! I finished my entire burger because it was just so good. If I could've added a fried egg to it, it would have been perfect, but for what it was, I was pleased! Service was great, food was delicious, prices are reasonable, and the location is conveniently situated by parking. My only complaint is that the chairs and surface of the table did not seem thoroughly clean- just a tad sticky but it's normal since it's a tavern/bar. A great spot to just kick back and enjoy company over some drinks and food.

Yelp
We met up with friends here on a Monday around 6:30PM. They quickly accommodated our large group at a long table inside. There are happy hour specials so we took advantage of those. Our food and drinks came out quickly. We got nachos and tacos to share. I got myself the chicken bowl. All of the food was very good. Id definitely come back to catch up with friends!

Yelp
Amazing service, and highly attentive staff. Food was on time, and on point. Would absolutely recommend!!

Yelp
Updates and changes keep the menu interesting, fair prices and great taste keep the folks coming back. Greta place to watch the games and cheer with friends.

Yelp
World of Beer is a great spot to meet up with friends. They have an impressive beer selection, with both bottled options and rotating beers on tap. You can always find something you will like. They serve the normal pub food which goes great with beer.

Yelp
This place is TERRIBLE. Long wait times for mediocre food during non-peak hours. We went to eat around noon on a Monday... there were maybe 4-5 tables that were being served. The waiter took our order within a reasonable time, however, waiting for our food from the kitchen took VERY long. When the food arrived, another waiter brought our plates with his both hands - no tray or assistance from other people on his team. Not to mention, he took like 5 minutes in between each round to bring the next plate out. There was no manager in sight. I don't recommend this spot and I will not be returning.

Shelley F.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our meal. The Happy Hour specials were delicious and a great deal. Will definitely return.

Yelp
They used to have fun trivia nights during covid! The staff was great and the food was really good too!

Yelp
I loved visiting World of Beer! The servers/bartenders were so welcoming and attentive. When I went, Destini, Lauryn, Devon, Mikey, Markus, Haley, and Penny were such a great team. The beer selection is great - lots of local and international options. And the food!! Great happy hour deals. My friends and I tried the flatbread, tacos, and pretzel - all delicious!

Yelp
I am still disappointed with World of Beer. I reviewed this business and discussed my disappointment with the staff not understanding veganism. My review was met with thoughtful and kind response from the GM. He said he was going to ensure that his staff was better trained in understanding dietary restrictions. He also told me to email him so we could discuss the situation more off of Yelp. I emailed the GM and received no response back. I then visited World of Beer and ordered tacos with Beyond Meat, as I still have no idea what buns are vegan. I asked for the tacos to be made vegan. I specified no sriracha Mayo, no dairy, no cream, no eggs, and again asked for it to be made vegan. The tacos came with a side of their sriracha aioli. I felt like I could not have been more clear with my order and still I was given a meal with a nonvegan component. While I am thankful the sauce only came on the side, it still gives me doubt that any of my meals there are vegan. It doesn't seem the staff has undergone any training since my last review. I cannot see myself eating there again at this point until I receive better communication from World of Beer about what is vegan, and that the kitchen understands how to plate a vegan meal.

Yelp
Eaten here multiple times, including this past Sunday evening, and have always been very satisfied. Special kudos to our waiter, Peter, who went above and beyond to take care of our group of six during this recent visit. At this point, between me and my friends, we've probably tried everything on the menu, and I don't ever recall anyone ever being disappointed. Always great food, pleasant lively ambiance, friendly staff, and a good place to watch whatever sports game may be on TV. If you're able to catch a happy hour here (I think they still have them), it's a real bargain. World of Beer will remain a go-to for us.

Yelp
*****Happy hour review***** Stopped by for happy hour and enjoyed both the food/drinks and service. Even though we sat outside and it was fairly busy since they were hosting a large work party, service was pretty attentive. For happy hour, they have a variety of drafts ranging from $3-$5, $6 spirits and wines, and $6 food items. I took advantage of the $6 spirits and got a couple gin and tonics while enjoying the crispy chicken street tacos (2/order). I also shared the loaded taters and tried some of the barbacoa street tacos (2/order). Between the two tacos, I enjoyed the barbacoa taco better. It came packed with meat that was tender and flavorful. The chicken taco was also good, though. Chicken pieces were nice and crispy and came with a good amount of toppings. The taters came loaded with beer cheese, bacon (wish the bacon was crispier), fresh jalapenos, scallions, and sour cream. This dish was really good, but definitely a shareable item. If you're looking for a solid place for happy hour in the Rockville area, check out WoB!

Yelp
Destiny is a server/bartender here & she was amazing. I can always count on having a good time when I come here. The atmosphere is always welcoming, the prices are perfect, and I recommend the quesadilla because it works great with whatever beer you're having. You really can't go wrong here. You can count on having a good time here no matter the day of the week. Staff 10/10, food, service, etc. I do recommend and I don't write reviews! This says something!

Yelp
The choices on the menu are amazing. When I come in I always expect to walk into somewhere I am unsure of. This establishment here welcomes me always with good atmosphere. I was skeptical at the beginning from always passing this nice restaurant, but I'm glad I made a second opinion for myself, because as soon as I walked in, there's a server here that makes my end of the work shift reliable, my servers name was Lauren, and she allowed me to experience here exactly what I was looking for. I.e. Great atmosphere, great attitude, & great eats at even more awesome prices. The rewards here too work well, I was allowed to get a free beer basically only because I showed them my rewards membership (also noteworthy) If you come in ask for Lauren to be your server because I want people to experience the same welcomness that I did! Yall rock! Definitely returning! Good eats, good attitude, good prices, good people. I love it here!

Yelp
Hosted a happy hour for a coworkers going away party and they accommodated all 20 of us with grace and style. I was super grateful for their generosity with the space and allowing us to do separate checks as well. We came on a Thursday and it was all day happy hour. They had a great selection of food and drinks to choose from!

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon, the place is not very busy. Our waitress was nice and patient despite us taking really long to orders. The outside seating along the street tent was good since it wasn't particularly busy that day. I would say the food tasted average but is a bit pricey. I got giant pretzel, chicken satay, a drink, and chicken waffles and my bill was $60 after tax and 18% tip. I think it's pretty pricey for $2 appetizers, 1 "entree" (very small portion), and a drink. I might come back if I'm in the area next time.

Yelp
The annoying WOB app will not allow me to place an order online so I called the restaurant and was helped by Whitney! Whitney not only took my order over the phone, but she also helped me in redeeming rewards I had earned within the app ($5 off for downloading the app and then a March Madness promo for a free order of Loaded Tots-- separate transactions). I picked up the food as a carry out while my husband parked the car around the block to wait for me (the curbside pick up parking spots were all taken). It took a while for the employees to notice me and ask about what I needed after I arrived (about five minutes), but I was helped and my food was rea and waiting for me. I was able to pay for my order at the bar and headed home to eat! The food was cold when I got home (about a 5 minute ride) so I heated it up in the toaster oven and the air fryer and it was great! I was extremely glad that almost all of my order was accurate, especially my request of having the "Loaded" Tots without bacon and the beer cheese. My husband and I ordered the Monday burger special each which allowed us to customize our burgers, the toppings and sauces, as well as pick a side, for $5.95 each! I had ordered Jasmine rice for one of the sides (and fries for the other), but received two orders of fries instead (I didn't mind so much, they were delicious!). The burgers were cooked to well done, just as ordered and again, after the food was reheated at home, it was all delicious! The garlic aioli and the Chipotle Mayo sauces were delicious, perfect to add to my burger and to dip the fries and tots in. I think the $5.95 Monday burger deal is awesome and definitely hits the spot. Note: Impossible burgers are available for a slight price increase

Yelp
It's a real hit or miss with service here. Spent 4 days in Rockville and stopped at World of Beer several times. Not easy getting a drink at the bar. Also not easy flagging down your server at the tables either. But the fries were delicious and their burger meat is pretty good too. Unfortunately I was not able to eat the burger because when I ordered it gluten free, it came out with crispy onion strings. I feel like if a kitchen knows what is and isn't gluten free it can benefit a customer more, so if you have an allergy or celiacs I would be aware of this when ordering.

Yelp
A nice place to visit for bottomless mimosas. They come in a nice tall glass but it's $18.00 per person. The food was alright , I ordered wings that were a little dry but overall it was a nice experience.

Yelp
WOB....who knew??! food was surprisingly delicious!! beer was fantastic!! seating was spacious!! service was superb!! WOB was the location picked to celebrate a fellow colleague's departure. And this place was clutch! I also had one of the best beers Ive ever tasted in my life..and after 3 beers and a tequila shot (bought by one of our doctors who surprisingly came thru), I can not remember the name of that beer. It was a sour..and was recommended by our waiter, and it was soooo delicious! This is coming from a non beer drinker btw. my colorado fam would be so proud ;) Highly recommend WOB!

Yelp
Stopped in here on St. Patrick's day and they were having a party. Music was cool but it was insanely loud making it hard for the staff to hear you, but the food was really good and came out pretty quick. My only issue was trying to get drinks at the bar. It took forever unless I had a server get the drinks. I've never been here before so I was impressed by the cheeseburger I got and I love the fact that the burgers are fully customizable. They also have loaded tater tots that I'm gonna try the next time I go back. Nice location with street parking.

Declan M.

Yelp
I ordered multiple items and both were excellent. The loaded nachos were arguably the best nachos I have ever had, no lie. The beer was also very good and even on a busy night with probably not enough staff, our food came out very fast and our drinks were also quick. After leaving the restaurant I left my wallet behind. I was only in town for one night being from Pittsburgh and I did not realize I had lost it until I was halfway home the next night. After searching my luggage and contacting my hotel, I came to the conclusion that I had left it at World of Beer. Thankfully, my server had found my wallet (which contained over $400 in cash) and stored it for safekeeping. I got in contact with the manager who quickly mailed my wallet back to me asking for no money in return. Thanks to the amazing staff I did not have to replace credit and debit cards, my SS card, or any other personal items!!

Yelp
This is just a quick review of the dinner that we got. It was pouring down rain and we just ran into this place and decided to stay for a meal. We both ordered the steak frites even though the partner wanted the fish 'n chips but they ran out that evening. Food was good and so was the service for a Friday night. I wanted my steak medium and it was perfectly done.

Yelp
Alright, take two was equally disappointing for world of beer. I can't echo all of my disappointment from our last visit as we didn't get alcohol however I'll explain the experience. Our server this time was fantastic, 5/5, he was a wonderful soul, and I'm glad we had him! He was prompt, a little fast on the refills but overall a great guy! We got the loaded tater tots, they weren't ideal and absolutely smothered in jalapeños. I was genuinely surprised that somehow they took the heat out of the jalapeños. No, this was not a good thing. The cheese they caked onto them was disappointing it was kind of like they used cheese whiz and melted it. My tacos were okay at best. I was disappointed with the large amount of lettuce to the low amount of shrimp. The shrimp itself was somehow extremely greasey, I'm not sure about y'all but to me a shrimp taco shouldn't be super greasy. Finally, my fiance got the brunch burger and was thoroughly surprised to find it was spicy. She doesn't like spice, and there was nothing to indicate that it was going to be spicy. She started eating and it crept up, by the end of the meal her mouth was on fire. Look a spicy burger, in my eyes, great! But indicate it somehow! All in all I'm sorry to say my review rating doesn't change, I don't think we'll be coming again.

Yelp
Came in on Sunday 4:30 pm. First order (Brookeville beer farm hogsheads) was not available. Second order, a wait of 15 minutes and beer (Black flag & idiom speak of the devil), beer was sitting at the bar for 5 minutes and beer was flat.
google avatar

Yelp
We went to watch football and eat last Sunday. Upon entering, a sign said "please wait to be seated". Although the servers were chatting and the place was about 1/4 full at 1pm, we waited... and waited... about ten minutes even though they weren't busy and nobody who worked there seemed happy, nor did they make eye contact. When they say "wait" to be seated, they really mean it. Once we sat, it took ten minutes for water and menus, so we went to the hostess stand and got our own menus. The beer selection is great, which is the only upside in my experience. The tv's are ok - smallish, the vibe is dark and a bit depressed without seeming to mean to be - a lot of it is the attitude of the servers - they're nice enough, just obvious they don't want to be working there. The food is ok too. But nothing we tried made us want to ever return, even if the service had been better. We usually go to Sport and Social for football, and Gilly's for great beer, deli and chill vibe with eclectic music mixes. Glad I tried WOB but won't return.

Yelp
I work in the Rockville Town Square area, so I've been to this World of Beer a time or two. They always have a good beer selection, that meets the discerning tastes of my husband (a self proclaimed hop head) and my preference for porters, brown ales, and other dark beers (but not stouts!). On this most recent visit, I went for a weekday lunch with a colleague. So sadly, no beer for me. My coworker had the shrimp tacos and a side of tater tots. And I got the WOB Cobb salad. I was definitely surprised when my salad arrived and it looked like something of a fine dining experience. It was yummy, although I found it a little heavy on the cheese (which is hard- packed near the bottom of the salad). I'd get this salad again, without the cheese, and probably ask for more greens too.

Yelp
Great waiters, decent food, great beer. Very convenient location. Love the wings, the burgers, and the big pretzel.

Yelp
I've been to this World of Beer a few times and always experienced great service. We decided to have dinner here for Halloween. The restaurant is located at the Rockville Town Square across the street from the movie Theater. This location still offers out an abundant amount of outdoor seating. PROS - Service was great and quick. Waiter took our order in a timely manner and was very personable. - The food is pretty delicious and affordable compared to similiar establishments. We ordered the nachos (without additional meat), the French dip sandwhich, and Steak frittes. The portion size for the nachos were generous! The Steak frittes and French dip sandwich was also flavorful and filling. - The beer flights were also affordable ranging from $12-$14. CONS - The waiter did not take the time to explain the types of beers on our flight. Not a big deal but wouldve been nice to know what we were drinking. Will definitely visit more often!

Noah Z.

Yelp
The waiter gave my son who is twelve a orange juice mimosa when he asked for orange juice when she said she just said she poured regular orange juice it had a prominent alcohol taste and was sparkling

Yelp
I like the drinks here and the food is pretty good. But man the service sucks, which really ruins the experience. This wasn't the first time we experienced bad service here. It's so difficult to get a server's attention or it just takes forever to get served. My husband and I stopped by here for happy hour today. We went inside to get a table and there were two servers just standing by the entrance. Took a while to acknowledge us. After they did, we were told they'd bring a server over to us outside. 10 mins pass and still no server even though we saw multiple ones walking around us. We tried to wave at them and flag them down multiple times but it's like they had blinders on. I got to ask someone if they can please bring out a server but still no one. Another group who got there after us even got a server before us. I think the host just forgot about us. Idk but we were fed up so we left after 20 mins. If you're in the area and don't want to waste time, go to Kumbia instead.

Yelp
Decided to come back to WOB for a quick beer, tater tots and try their happy hour tacos. So glad we did! We started with the Margherita flatbread, sliders with a brat, tacos and macaroni and cheese balls. Yum, yum and yum! Some of the best of all these mentioned I have ever had. WOB isn't just a beer joint, it is nicer than that. The staff are extremely friendly and quick to take care of you. The beers available are vast and some specialized. The food is spot on!!

Kendra H.

Yelp
The service was spectacular. Went there for happy hour and the prices are reasonable. The waitress gave recommendations and was very attentive. I ordered the beef tacos and BBQ flatbread pizza and it was amazing. I'll defintley be back

Yelp
This WAS our go to place when in the Rockville area. Waiters always very nice. Yesterday, the young lady hosting was absolutely terrible. She acted like her parents owned the place because the older lady we spoke with to complain about her behavior just made excuses for her. She literally dared us to speak to her "manager" sarcastically saying the "manager" would be glad to hear from us. It was utterly disappointing having that first contact with such an obnoxious person. We left and had a great time at Matchbox. We will find another go to place!

Yelp

Yelp
Went in on a dull Wednesday at lunch time. Place is fairly empty. My salad was good enough I guess. The part that irked me is the lousy service. Had to tackle the bartender for his part. Had to tackle a waitress to place my salad order. Needed pepper (no condiments on table) so had to go to the bar to ask for it. I was in there two hours working on work-ie stuff. In that entire time, NO staff stopped while wandering by my table. "Would you like to place an order?" "How was your meal?" "Do you need anything else?" I guess credit goes to the kid who seemed to be delivering food and busing tables. He was paying a bit of attention. Just head scratching and not fun. No reason for this problem!

Yelp
WoB has become one of my favorite places to dine/drink since the pandemic/Covid-19. They have many outdoor tables that are properly spaced out. They also sanitize the table and chairs after each customer leaves. You scan the QR code to get their menus. Staff wear masks and you have to wear a mask if you entering the restaurant. They have a large hand sanitizer between the doors. It's mostly shaded in the late afternoon. Food has been surprisingly good. I still love their pretzel. It is the best pretzel especially paired with the beer cheese. Their burgers are really good. The brioche buns are great and the burgers are very juicy. Definitely come here on $5 burger day on Mondays. Tuesday they have Taco Tuesday! Beer selection is still great. They also have a kids menu that isn't posted online.

Yelp
Have been hesitant to drop in here based on other reviews but thought "what the hell" in my recent jury duty lunch break. So that means no beers which might be the best part of this place. The Mac Bite Burger was surprisingly good, even if it was dripping grease and the explosion of molten cheese from the deep fried mac and cheese patty tore off some skin from the roof of my mouth. Tots were crispy outside and soft inside. The staff, while nice, seemed uninterested or just plain unhappy. Having worked in food service I get it. There are bad days. But with a Monday sparse lunch crowd there wasn't much I could see to be unhappy about. And while capitalism keeps some of us in situations we don't prefer, I hope the staff here finds what is that excites them.

Yelp
We were going to order more drinks but the waitress suddenly brought the checks and took our water glasses. We never asked for the check. Decided to go somewhere else for more drinks.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Great stout but okay burgers. New Holland Dragon's Milk stout was delicious--sweet and very very smooth. Truffle burger was okay. I love truffle, but there wasn't as much truffle taste as I hoped, and the burger was quite a bit too greasy and heavy for me. Tater tots were crispy and good though.

Yelp
The food was good and tasty as advertised. The outside seating area was clean and surprisingly no flies were bothering us as we ate. This place was also animal friendly.

Yelp
We've come to World of Beer more times than we can count, and we've had amazing service every single time we've been here. On top of that, we have a weird obsession with their loaded tater tots and have managed to get a plate every time we're here. We've come just to do work here before, socialize and just eat. I'm particularly a fan of their drinks, and my favorite by far has to be the white peach sangria. My partner loves their IPAs as well! We love it here and will definitely come back for more! One small note though that we found odd, but we ordered the Dragonberry mojito this time, and the first round was amazing- absolutely refreshing and delicious, but the second that we ordered was apparently made by another bartender that ended up looking AND tasting nothing like the amazing drink we had before. We sent it back, in case it was an oversight, yet the second one was, again, nothing like what we initially ordered. No lime, a single berry and no grenadine, to name a few. Definitely was not a fan of the second drink, and puts a damper on this place considering they don't have a standardized recipe for drinks. Overall though, amazing times would highly recommend!

Yelp
The food and service were great but the curated beer flights were surprisingly awful. Only one out of four samples were decent in each flight and I am generally not very picky for a bit of a beer snob. A man at a nearby table even leaned over to ask us if we had the IPA sampler because one of his beers tasted like an ashtray.

Yelp
I love this place. It's quickly become a go to place for me since moving back to MoCo for a few different reasons. First, the beer selection is solid. While they lean a bit too much on the hoppy side for my taste, they have enough of a variety with some Belgians and some Belgian-influenced beers as well. They are generous with letting you taste a few so you're almost certain to find something you like. Second, the wings. I had forgotten how much I missed well-made east coast Buffalo wings. They make them crispy and juicy in general, but I always ask for them to be dripping with Buffalo sauce and they always oblige. Their pretzel is bomb too, and it's all about that beer cheese sauce they serve with it. At some point, I may try some other food from the menu but I am so satisfied with the wings, I'm afraid to take the risk! Last but not least, I have never met a single person who works here that wasn't friendly. They work as a team here and everyone seems eager to please if you need something. It just makes for such a warm, pleasant experience. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Drinks are good, ambiance is cozy, and servers are attentive! There was even a live performance singer that came on a Saturday which was a nice plus. I got the strawberry caipiroska drink and one of their specialty beers -- Stiegl Raspberry Radler (not pictured sorry I got too excited and chugged it). Both drinks were really good and I was especially blown away by the specialty beer. It was raspberry flavored, I typically don't like beer but this was one of the sweet fruity ones I actually enjoyed and finished! 10/10 would come back and get these drinks again as well as try out their other beers. Only downside is that parking is NOT free. Or at least that I know of, which kind of sucks but it's affordable.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Monday for HH and burger night since the weather was nice. Service was kinda shotty; took forever to place orders, then the order was lost, orders placed again, then eventually food came out. Their $6 BYOB burger special was overcooked and seemed smaller than the past. Luckily the other items were great: beef tacos, truffle fries, and mac/cheese bites. I like the atmosphere here and would come for trivia all the time, hopefully the next time will be a better experience.

Yelp
Visited here with a group to watch a college football game. Not sure if they have this beer anymore, but if you like sours they had a unicorn fart beer, I believe they called it. Pretty tasty in my opinion and perfect for your Instagram and Snapchat. Pro: -Different options of beers, however this world of beer is much smaller than other ones ive visited -Their wings are delicious. I recommend the buffalo and korean spicy. They taste better than Buffalo Wild Wings Cons: -Came here a few times and they didn't have the soccer channel, however the workers tried their best to find something. We ended up streaming on the phone instead. Tips: -If you get beers make sure everyone buys a different beer sample. You broaden your tasting experience and can mix and match them this way. -Theres a Ben and Jerry's across the street if you want dessert if you dont get anything here
