Wuhan Foodie

The sesame sauce dry noodle is the best of what I had in US. The owner is from the hometown of hot dry noodles. Other snacks are also very authentic. Highly recommended for Hubei cuisine! 热干面太好吃了！

This is my 3rd visit to Wuhan Foodie, with previous visits in 2021 and 2022. Back then, the Hot Dry Noodle was much tastier. Being originally from Wuhan, I came to this restaurant every time I visited NYC (except May 2023 when this place was closed). However, the quality seems to have declined. I’m not sure if there’s been a change in the chef, but the food is now below average. The hot dry noodle was way too dry, and both the noodles and the sesame sauce were not authentic. Very disappointed.

This place has the most authentic Wuhan food here in NY region. They have been known for it and this is my first time visiting. Their Hot Dry Noodle is spot on with the exact flavor you would expect in Wuhan. The photo here is their Oily Shumai, just straightup delicious. Just in case, Wuhan Foodie has relocated and is now inside the New York Food Court.

Best Wuhan traditional foods in NYC! They reopened in Sept 2024 after the previous close at the end of 2023. My wife is from Wuhan and we love their food! Very authentic beef noodles and Mian Wo.

I was born in Wuhan and I can ensure that Wuhan Foodie tastes exactly like hometown! The hot dry noodles, salty doughnut, doupi and Shaomai are my favorite! You can take even take materials back home and cook on your own!

Amazing hole in the wall Wuhan restaurant with owners from Wuhan. I’ve worked my way through most of the menu at this point and I would have to say the burning noodle with minced meat is the best option. The flavor profile is really good. Their spicy oil is amazing and extremely spicy. Come and support this family owned shop and hopefully they can stay in business for a long time.

It still makes me feel happy because it gives me a sense of belonging since I’ve seen so many things in the menu that I’ve been Familiar through the childhood. To be honest, I feel a little bit disappointed. As a pure wuhaness, I ate this things things I was a baby: 油焖大虾 豆皮 烧麦 热干面 糯米鸡….. I order them today and I was having a very high expectation because it has a very high rating in Google map application. I found out that hot dry noodles are okay. Service is good and prices are set reasonable. It might because during the pandemic, I learned to make those cuisines by myself and they were successful. Therefore I’ve become more picky to the taste and the spices.

Wuhan locals think the taste is very authentic. I have bought it many times.
