"This Venice sausage temple and beer garden offers some of the most creative sausages in town — from a rabbit and rattlesnake rendition pocked with jalapeño to a sweeter buffalo sausage ribboned with Luxardo cherries and mint. The double-fried Belgian french fries, served in a klein (small) or groot (large) cone, are not to be missed. Have fun mixing and matching the dipping sauces for the entire spread (we recommend the curry ketchup and bleu cheese walnut)." - Eater Staff
"Wurstkuche is a big, warehouse-y restaurant on Lincoln that may be the only spot in Venice to get a good hot dog. If you’re in the mood for a solid bockwurst - or even alligator - you won’t be disappointed, and the french fries are excellent. The long, communal tables are never too crowded, and it’s the kind of place you can hang out in for a long lunch with friends, or a quick break from whatever non-hot-dog related thing you’re doing." - jess basser sanders, amy clark
"Going out with a large group sounds fun in theory until the actual planning begins. That is, unless you go somewhere like Wurstküche. This Euro-centric beer hall has long tables for people to gather, a wide assortment of grilled sausages ranging from pork bratwurst to pheasant with herbs de provence, a whole lot of imported beer, and some of the best Belgian fries in the city. Bonus: everyone orders at the counter so no need to split the check 12 ways." - sylvio martins
"Perhaps not everyone in your group wants to eat exotic sausages in a giant room with a DJ, but once they realize that they can order individually at the front counter, they’ll make it work. Wurstküche has spots in Venice and the Arts District, and both locations are ideal for when you’ve invited a lot of people who are all going to show up at different times. As far as the menu goes, not every sausage is filled with rattlesnake and rabbit (though that’s the best one), so even your less-adventurous friends can find a chicken sausage or something. Just make sure you get multiple orders of Belgian fries for the table." - brant cox
"There's a reason you've been to so many group meals at Wurstkuche on Lincoln. This place makes last-minute scrambles very easy. You order at the counter, sit at long, biergarten-style wooden picnic tables, and eat fancy hotdogs, excellent Belgian fries, and sausages ranging from traditional bratwurst to others involving rattlesnake and rabbit. There might be a bit of a line at the counter, but there are always enough tables to squeeze in a last-minute party of six. " - Sylvio Martins, Brett Keating
