The Best Vegan Restaurants in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"This Caribbean restaurant on Moreland Avenue has plenty of vegan dishes on the menu that pack a ton of flavor. Jackfruit is king here. The vegan jackfruit bowl for $15 is a must-order (or get a larger plate for $18) — it comes served on yellow rice, with a side of sweet plantains and black beans, topped with the restaurant’s famous guava barbecue sauce and pico de gallo. Also, try the jackfruit empanadas with tomatillo sauce." - Beth McKibben

Google
My Bad Ass Burrito Experience at Wylie and Rum Just had an incredible meal at Wylie and Rum's, and it definitely lives up to its name! I'm giving it a full 5 stars for the food, and a strong 4 out of 5 for the atmosphere with huge potential for a 5, thanks to our awesome server, I forgot his name, who made the experience even better. I had to try the Bad Ass Burrito, and it was a flavor explosion! I opted for the Jerk Chicken which was perfectly seasoned and tender. It came generously packed in a flour tortilla with fluffy yellow rice, savory black beans, and sweet plantains, all bound together with melted pepper jack cheese. The sweetness of the plantain provided the perfect balance. Every bite was a fantastic blend of textures and tastes. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming and energetic. Our server was attentive, friendly, and really elevated the dining experience. Wylie and Rum's is a must-visit in Atlanta for anyone craving a truly exceptional burrito and a great time! I'll definitely be back!

Google
me and my friend went here for dinner and honestly had an exceptional experience!! the appetizers were unique and delicious. i have to shoutout the sauces that came on the side with both of our apps. they were so good and paired perfectly with the items themselves. also all of our food came out super quick. the portion size at this place is incredible. we both left with 2 meals pretty much from our entree's. our waiter was super nice and helpful. also the rum punch was both gorgeous and delicious. please please please check this place out its 100% worth it. the vibes are the great, food is great, service is great!!

Google
Andrew was our server and he was very sweet and kind and assisted us with ordering very well. The food was amazing. The drinks were amazing and the overall vibe was amazing. We came here after getting disappointing customer service from the taco spot next door. So we left very please and had plenty leftovers.

Google
Stopped by on Memorial Day and was lucky enough to try their Caribbean Fest Special—Crab & Coconut Spinach Dip and it was a 10/10!!! I also ordered the beef empanadas with rice, street corn and yellow rice! Big Shout out to chef josh!! I’ll be back for sure✨ **Update review** 6/21/2025 Wylie & rum is becoming one of my GO TO spots!🔥 Today I got the Jerk chicken plate and it’s so good! Shout out to chef Raven for that delicious jerk chicken!!!

Google
What a wonderful experience at Wylie & Rum! My server was AMAZING; she was friendly, attentive, and gave honest food and drink suggestions. I sat outside, but she offered a table fan and a device to reduce insects. I loved her energy! She offered the best customer service. The server's name on my ticket is Parish LL; she was the absolute best.

Google
I had the opportunity to dine at 📍 @wylieandrum last night. We enjoyed sampling the new 🍗 wing flavor options coming to their menu. If you’re like me, I don’t like fatty wings. These wings are 9/10, loaded with flavor, and nice meat ratio! Very cool tiki bar theme like something you’d find in Key West and the outside patio is nice. The service was pretty quick and smooth.

Google
We really enjoyed our meal. Syndia was an amazing waitress! She did an awesome job of describing the different items on the menu and helped us decide. The manager/owner checked on us several times which is nice. We tried the Black & White soup: wow, just wow. The Havana Ceaser Salad was good, with a nice anchovy kick to the dressing. The empanadas were good. The Mojo Chicken was good. After the amazing black soup, the black beans needed to be amped up a little and so did the jerk chicken in the empanadas but the empanada shell was fire. David did tell us next time to request additional jerk seasoning, so we'll remember that. That said, they have a wide assortment of hot sauses to kick it up to your hearts content. My wife had a Mai tai & I had a Painkiller. I had forgotten how much coconut was in a Painkiller so my wife finished it for me. As we left, she commented that they were both smooth, but had a good kick. It was date night so we didn't try anything from the impressive Mocktail menu, but nice to see such thoughtful options. We will be returning to try other things!

Yelp
Amazing food, great service... They were a little short-staffed and David, the owner, was working his butt off making sure everyone was having a great experience. We're only in Atlanta for the weekend, but we're coming back here again for sure.

Isabelle R.

Yelp
Food is 'effin phenomenal here. Vegetarian/seafood options are delish and the hot sauce variety is worth crying home to mom about. The only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because we asked the manager (assuming Caucasian woman with glasses is manager) for hot sauce and a to go box, on separate occasions, both times we were met with a "I'll look for some for you," and did not get either request met. After 5-10 minutes we ended up asking our server to see the requests through. The restaurant was not that busy is why I'm a bit bothered by it. I would assume, of all the staff members, management would want to make sure simple requests like boxes and hot sauces were met. Regardless, highly suggest eating here because it's so delicious!!

Yelp
Hubby and I had this on our list of places to try and they did not disappoint. We came for Father's Day weekend as we are Caribbean food LOVERS and trust me when I tell you - hands down one of the best Caribbean spots in the metro area! Parking: The lot in front of the restaurant is pretty tight and it doesn't help that its off of Moreland which is constantly busy but there is parking towards the back as its a small plaza shared with other businesses. Now back to food. We came for the Saturday brunch. We had the pleasure of being served by Dani whom is also the Bartender. She was super sweet, gave the best suggestions, personable and made a BOMB RUM PUNCH. We started with the Rum Punch pitcher - AMAZING! Took us back to the Bahamas! Also we started with some Shrimp Fritters. Again, 10/10. For my entrée, I had the Shrimp and Grits. That sauce, that sauce *chefs kisses*. Hubby had the Jerk Chicken Platter - let's just say nothing was left on his. I'm so sad that we took so long to visit but we will definitely be back as they have an Happy Hour and daily specials. Ambience was lowkey but culturally authentic all the way down to the music selections. It's also family friendly - at least during the day it was. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Five-star food and service and four-star drinks as they are sweet, but that is what you expect with rum drinks?!???! I have tried a few of their cocktails, which are lovely but good. I have them take out the simple syrup to make them less sweet, which I like. Everything that they do with the jerk seasoning is fantastic! I love their jerk wings, And I could eat them every day! I have also tried their chicken plate with beans and rice on the side, which is also delicious. I love this place and will continue to visit it all the time.

Yelp
I was excited about Wylie and Rum all week, I drove by it one day casually and added it to my list of restaurants to try in Atlanta. I'm happy to say that today, I crossed it off the list. I had no clue it was a Caribbean restaurant and was delighted to see the menu filled with different Caribbean dishes. The place is huge with plenty of seats, and it definitely gives an island feel on the inside from the color scheme to the music they play.  You have a choice of dining inside or outside or by the bar. Like I said earlier, plenty of space they must get really busy on certain days. Our server was Thomas, and he was very accommodating.  Told us the happy hour specials were only at the bar and did not make it a big deal when I asked to be moved because of bad lighting, lol. I always appreciate a server that is knowledgeable and can give me insight into the dishes, and Thomas knew his stuff. Now for the food, I think the food was a bit underwhelming.  It might be the expectations I had for it being a Carribean place, and I had been craving rasta pasta, so that is what I had.  It was lacking a little in the flavor department, but not to say the mean was not good, it is just not the best I ever had.  I attest that to being from New York and having a lot of Carribean food. I forgot to mention the shrimp fritters as well, we had that as an appetizer, and I enjoyed those too, but again, there was something bland to it, and I can not put my finger on it. They had a wide variety of hot sauces at our disposal, which helped and was greatly appreciated. There are other things on the menu I would love to try. I would absolutely go back to it, and I would encourage anyone to give them a try.

Yelp
Don't walk, RUN! Wow, this fantastic place is just a couple minutes from our house. The hubby and I typically go for hole in the wall Jamaican places but Wylie & Rum was incredible. We forgot how big brunch is on the weekends in ATL so not sure what all their regular menu has to offer considering we went on a Saturday at noon. We started off with the rum punch pitcher, we had so many glasses from that one pitcher. The drink was definitely giving island vibes and super delicious. I had the jerk chicken plate and the chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I enjoyed the rice and beans, however the corn was just ok. My hubby had the hangover burger which had a kick to it but it was just as good! Funny thing is I was so excited about eating fried plantains that I didn't realize until it was time to go that they never put them with my meal. So our sweet waiter packed me some to go. We really enjoyed this place and can't wait to back and try the jerk wings!

Yelp
PARKING - Parking is not easy to find in this busy shopping plaza and the area isn't the best location. We had to park across the street at the gas station and walk over but this was the only concern out of the meal here. ATMOSPHERE -The vibe was pretty cool, music, tvs, patio to sit if desired and cool décor. STAFF - The staff here are really nice. Friendly smiles and no one appeared to be bothered by our questions. The manager also greeted us and made sure we had a good experience. FOOD - The burgers were really good. We had the island burger for the ATL burger week and another burger that is on the menu at all times. Both were great, thick, juicy and awesome flavor. The jerk chicken and waffles were amazing, the star of the show! The waffle was cooked perfectly and the sauce they used was amazing. I really wish I found this place sooner. PRICE - The cost of the items seemed comparable to any sit down restaurant in the Atlanta area. THE GOOD - The unique menu and great flavor of each dish. - The staff were great and made the experience better The not so good - Nothing really to say other than the parking situation which is out of their control.

Yelp
First time trying this place and it was a great experience. Delicious food with lots of great menu items but the real stars are the staff Jable and Star. So upbeat, friendly and on point. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
We came to Wylie and Rum to celebrate my husband being done with a 12-day stretch of working at the hospital pharmacy, and we weren't disappointed! It was very easy to get a table - the place was pretty sparsely populated - so we got sat right away. There is a big screen with a projector in the back, so it seems like it would be a fun place to watch a game (or, if you're me, perhaps the Bachelor?) There is indoor and outdoor seating with fun wall art inside and nice potted plants and outdoor heaters outside. Our server Ruth was fantastic and checked on us often. I love to get spicy margaritas everywhere I go, so tonight I got the spicy guava margarita, and let me tell you, this isn't just spicy - it is SPICY!! Definitely not for the faint of heart, but this is one of my favorite drinks I've ever had. My husband got the rum punch, which came in a very cute tiki head glass. I tried a sip of it, and it was deliciously tropical without being overly sweet. For his second drink, he got the Key West lemonade, which he described as "fine... just okay - but easy to drink." For an appetizer, we got the queso with plantain chips, which went surprisingly well together. The chips were crispy and the queso was hot, and we got plenty of each for the price. My husband got the big ass burrito, which he'd gotten before, and was just as huge and delicious as he remembered. I got the island burger with a slice of grilled pineapple, and a side of fries. They didn't add my pineapple at first, but as soon as I pointed this out, our server was quick to grab me some juicy pineapple fresh off the grill. Though delicious, this jerk burger may have been even spicier than my drink, so I had to go slow and drink water. The fries are battered and crazy delicious. I can't wait to come back and try even more wonderful Cuban dishes here!

Yelp
Wow, can't wait to come back! The food was really good, try the Shrimp Fritters for an appetizer. Rum Rita won't disappoint. Jennifer was our server and she was excellent. The ambiance is casual, definitely a good time with good food. I recommend you check it out.

Yelp
First time and I will be back! Chicken empanadas are the go to empanadas! Food overall is good the service was great and the outside seating is where it's at!

Yelp
Was seated immediately at lunchtime. I opted for the recommended Miami Cuban, which I was leaning towards anyway. It was one of the best I've had. Because the server thought I had waited longer than I should have on my sandwich and they had run out of the plantain chips he offered me a complementary drink. Unfortunately I was traveling so I asked if I could get an agua fresca instead so he quickly concocted a delicious combination of guava, passion fruit and mango. He also brought me a small glass of fresh pineapple wedges that were perfectly sweet and juicy. The black beans & rice that replaced the plantain chips were good but paled in comparison to the Cuban and fruit juice. Service was top notch and he joked that the Caribbean inspired menu stole dishes from pretty much every island. If the weather was warmer and you didn't look outside you could easily imagine yourself at a rum bar down in the islands. Definitely would recommend this place and be willing to come back on another trip through the area!

Yelp
First time trying this place. Food was really good. I'm excited to go back and try other things on the menu. I had the jerk chicken plate. Yum!

Yelp
Definitely a hidden gem! We found this place on a whim after a workout class, but I'd seen a few others post about on social media so we had to try it. Each person in our party got something different and everyone enjoyed! We had a reservation and were seated quickly, but there were also other tables available! All of the staff was very attentive. Our server Michael told us jokes while we waited for our food, and it came fast! We had: * Tiki Salmon * Island vegetarian plate * sunny vegan place * jerk chicken wings * virgin + regular rum punch * Caribbean ouay Everything was good, well seasoned, large portions and great prices. Definitely will be back soon, as a Jamaican -- I approve, the music was great, we wanted to dance!

Yelp
Was looking for a chill brunch spot in Atlanta and stumbled upon Wylie & Rum. First off, the Rum Punch pitchers were so good. I'm not a huge coconut fan but you barely taste it in it. I ordered the chicken & waffles which proved to be a solid choice. My friend went for the shrimp & grits and enjoyed it. However, the true star was the French toast - an absolute favorite that I'd recommend without hesitation. 10/10 experience and would definitely go back.

Yelp
This was my first time coming to Wylie and Rum. We sat at a table near the bar. The bartender Audrey was great! She made sure we had what we needed and everything was brought out quickly. Oh and her drinks were good! We ordered The Cartel, Rum Punch, and Mai Tai for drinks. I didn't care too much for the Mai Tai, but loved everything else. We got the empanadas for and appetizer. They were so good! For entrees we couldn't decide, so we split the Mojo Chicken Bowl, Tiki Salmon, and the Miami Cuban Sandwich. The sandwich was really good, and I didn't even need to dip it in the sauce it came with. Their fries are super fresh!
google avatar

Courtney M.

Yelp
Loved it! I visited Wylie and Rum for lunch and the food was delicious. We had jerk chicken empanadas, Cesar salad, jerk chicken wings with black beans, rice, and plantains. The food was delicious, especially the empanadas! The Cesar salad had plantain chips and the croutons were freshly made in-house and so good. I thought the jerk wings were ok, a bit dry/crisp for me, but the person who actually ordered the wings really liked them. The portions are a nice size. The drink menu will make you feel like you're on the beach... a lot of tropical, Caribbean inspired drinks. I mean, rum is in the name! Atmosphere: The bright colors, floor to ceiling windows surrounding the restaurant, Caribbean music, and bench seating gives beach vibes. For a second you might forget you're in ATL... until you see all the traffic on Moreland! There's also patio seating. Service: Great Parking: Free parking lot Overall: Definitely check them out!

Yelp
It was ok. I have watched the evolution of this plaza since I was a kid. I was excited about a proper rum bar in the city. The service was great. Seated promptly, attentive wait staff, manager stopped by to check on us, clean enough for a sunday night. The food was not bad but as someone who really enjoys Cuban, Caribbean, island fare this missed the mark. The Big Ass Burrito was filling and huge. Ibtook about 25% home. The Cuban Sandwich was the best item...ordered it and ate it 2 days later and it was still good. The major L of the night was the Mojo Chicken Plates. Honestly the nerk chicken and mojo chicken taste like the same chicken with a splash of sauce. It's hard to explain. All in all, it's not the worst meal I've had but I will not be beating down the door to go again. The manager was very receptive to the feedback. This place would be great for a crowd or meet up after kickball, dont feel like cooking weeknight experience. but not a sexy date night vibe. Think casual dining like Fridays but cubanish
google avatar

Darren N.

Yelp
For takeout I've gotten the Tostones Supreme with Jackfruit at least 4 times already and it's always good. Most recently I've had the Rasta Pasta and I hope it's a permanent menu item because it's the best tasting Rasta Pasta near midtown! The location looks nice inside and I plan to dine-in soon.

K B.

Yelp
So good! I went in for lunch. The bartender was very nice and suggested several menu options. I went with the jerk wings plate- which came with black beans, plantains, and Street corn. I also had a Moscow mule. Everything was so good! The plate was just full of flavor. I will be back for sure.

Yelp
We've been several times now and everything has been good to great. Today we had the Haitian chicken and waffles (Cap-Haptian Special) and shrimp and grits . Both were great. They also have nice drinks specials mid week.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent Rum Punch. Got to meet the owner and he was chill. Loved the jerk chicken bowl - great flavor and the beans and rice were perfect. Also tried the jerk chicken sandwich- must try. I only had a bite, but delicious. Great vibe and very cool decor. Plenty of outdoor seating and indoor. Highly recommend. I didn't get any food pics but did get a few of the restaurant. I'll try the pineapple upside down bread pudding next time.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place with a nice and chill vibe and good drinks, (including the specials), this is the place to go. If you're looking for good eats, not so much. We ordered the beef empanadas, personally recommended my our waitress. I forgot to take a picture because I was just in disbelief. The filling was half filled but you couldn't really enjoy it because of this homemade red/salsa like sauce that was on top and way too overpowering. We decided to just opt for another small app to avoid spending money on a dish we didn't like so we ordered the chips and queso. Because who can go wrong with queso right? Well this establishment has. It was a white queso...great! But it tasted like some type of powdered milk substance, IDK...but I do not it wasn't anything like a normal queso. We tried to eat most of it because we paid for it but it was not good. The chips were tossed in a "jerk spice" that more than likely consisted of cinnamon and sugar ?? IDK but definitely know I'll never try it again. I'm leaving 3 stars because of the rum punch. The 1/2 off Wednesday special is just an enhancement...I'd pay regular price regardless.

Yelp
This is a really cute restaurant in East Atlanta with a fabulous, fun staff and great food! The Cuban sandwiches are delicious, but they have a lot of other good items as well. The Island Burger with Ghost Pepper cheese is so good and their black beans and rice are great. I want to try the Big Ass Burrito the next time I visit. You can call ahead or just order when you show up and soak up the great island vibes. Such a fun place to go!

Yelp
My fam & I recently went to Wylie & Rum. They are a Caribbean kitchen and rum bar that serves Cuban Caribbean inspired dishes. Their dishes are definitely flavorful and the drinks are STRONG! What we ordered: Chicken & beef empanada (big enough to share w/ a few ppl) Jerk chicken bowl Tiki Salmon Jerk chicken plate (chicken is huge!) Mojo chicken plate Rumosa pitcher (had us feeling real good ) All plates come with yellow rice, plantains, black beans, and street corn so definitely generous with their portion sizes. They actually ran out of rice that day so we got fries which were really good by the way. My meal actually came out after everyone else's and I somehow happened to get rice (forgot to take a pic). I ain't gon lie, I was full by then and we went the day before my trip so I froze it and when I came back 2 weeks later and ate it, it tasted just as fresh as when I ordered it! As far as service it was lacking a bit and why I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars. They were actually short staffed and the manager was helping out. In the process of being there our waitress left and another person from the bar picked our table up. We were forgotten about a couple times as we waited for our pitcher for a long time because they forgot to put it in. Once I got my drink though I was fine because I was feeling good lol. It's a pretty chill place and has a relaxing environment. The food was really great though and we did enjoy it. Definitely give them a try if you're looking for some flavorful food and good drinks made right!!

Yelp
Random stop as we were originally heading to Pretty Little Taco which closed. Great change of plans as the food was great!

Yelp
The staff is so friendly especially the guy at the bar with that tattoos on his neck 5 star service!!!! Really good place will come back here

Yelp
Seriously good food!! I am not exaggerating when I say that at age 48 I just tasted the best waffle ever! It was perfect! We came in for brunch on Sunday. The place was not full, so we were able to get a table and get our food real fast. We sat outside: perfect blend of shade, beautiful flowers & plants. We had an amazing time!
google avatar

Natasha S.

Yelp
The service was great and the food was delicious. We ordered two kids' meals and 3 adult meals. The meals came at a great time, and our server was patient and took the time to answer all of our questions. My favorite dish was the shrimp and grits. It's a winner!! My son had "the hangover"... it contains ghost peppers, which he thought he could handle.... he couldn't ... but the server brought him another burger without hesitation. The waffles are delicious, sprinkled with corn and pineapples. The drinks were also really good. My favorite was "el diablo". It contains ginger beer, which adds a little sweetness and kick.

Yelp
We decided to give Wylie and Rum a chance some we've driven past and seen the crowd a few times. Although the greeting was very energetic and the staff are friendly, and the ambiance was welcoming as well...however the service wasn't the greatest. We sat waiting for an appetizer for well over 25 minutes with a moderate crowd. We were completely understanding of the "new restaurant" hiccups. But at some point the staff has to realize how long a consumer is sitting without being attended to. I'll update the review once the food is served...but for now they aren't doing the best! So update, The food was delivered after quite sometime. It was good a few dishes weren't hot, but the manager and other staff took over and tried to make a rebound. I have to be honest and say this will most likely be our last trip, just because of the amount of time it took to get our order compared to other guest who arrived at least 30 minutes after our party sat.
google avatar

Wan G.

Yelp
Thanks, David, for responding 5 months later. I never go out to eat for free food or drinks. So just because you discounted a drink doesn't make it all well. My review still stands just like you still stand by your business. There are lots of reviews posted that gave positive feedback about your establishment. I hope you take the time to give them a thank you for their honest opinion. Just like you took the time to acknowledge mine. I stated that I didn't know your hours because I wasn't trying to come to your establishment. So I am glad the hours are posted, and I hope that helps the next guest.. but from one business owner to another, Opinions are like assholes, everyone has them. My opinion shouldn't hurt your rating.

Yelp
I went solo to Wylie and Rum. I sat myself at a table by the door and tried to get the q code menu reader to work without success. (I hate to order using an app. If it's that serious have us order at a counter when we come in and be done with it.) Someone saw me struggling though and brought me a menu. I ordered a cocktail and the chicken bowl. The cocktail was fine - bit too heavy on the juice and tart. A lot of traditional tiki drinks are tart but this was unbalanced so it really didn't taste that good. The chicken bowl tasted fine but it wasn't flavorful enough to be worth returning for, and the portion size was smaller than expected. This review is 3 stars for the good service and the free parking. I would rate the food as 2 stars. Yelp #21 2022

Yelp
I came in here with no expectations. It is labeled a Trinidadian restaurant but honestly.... I don't taste it. Our server was super chill, I had an issue with my rum punch (it doesn't taste like authentic rum punch but a lot of sugar) and they replaced it with a mojito which wasn't much better (too much soda). I've never had "jerk chicken" taste this way before.... I feel like they need to stop by Negril village or Tastee Spoon to see how it's supposed to taste. Also, the yellow rice had zero flavor. They also took a minute to bring our food out as well and just as long to bring the check. I wish I had more positive things to say...
google avatar

Kaliea R.

Yelp
I've had this place in my radar for quite some time and I've been absolutely missing out because this place is absolutely a golden gem! The street corn is sooo flavorful, the mojito chicken is well seasoned and juicy . Patrick was our waiter and has phenomenal customer service. If you're thinking about stopping by ... don't think twice Leah

Yelp
Not an attractive location, the intersection of Moreland Ave SE & Wylie St., at the Eastern edge of Reynoldstown, ZIP 30316. Pull on in. The parking lot is pretty well maintained. There are other shops. Small, mostly locally owned. The interior is just a bit scruffy, not dirty, mind you, just ... unremarkable. Staff is pleasant and accommodating. I'm fussy about iced tea, I yearn for a glass of strong tea, let's say about the shade of the ATL's own Co-Cola. Lots of ice! The burger can be pricy. My first visit, 2022, it was $25. Whoa! I can remember 5 cent Krystal's in Jacksonville, FL. So watch the extras, a plain burger or cheeseburger, with...mustard for me, grilled onions, mayo, the bun lightly toasted. Fries are good, don't recall if they come wit da burger. So stop by this mid sized Jamaican Joint , y'all, specially if you live in R-Town or, yeah Cabbagetown, Edgewood...

Yelp
Had a chance to visit. Limited menu but spot on. Staff are friendly. Atmosphere: cool Caribbean vibes. They also have a great patio. In ATL, we love our outdoor seating so this is a good addition to the area. Food: Ordered to go. The empanadas (chicken and beef) are not the typical ones I've had but we're flavorful. The Cuban sandwich is delicious and it comes with a side of rice and beans. Can't beat the price for this meal. A def must try if you like pork. Parking: limited but in the parking lot. Parking nay be a challenge during peak hours. Street parking may be available. Drinks: I should have ordered one while I waited. They all sounded good. Def will get me a rum drink next time.

Yelp
Had this place book market on Yelp for some time. Came on a Thursday after 5 pm the restaurant was empty. Ordered jerk chicken and 1/2 rack of ribs Saw on Instagram 1/2 priced margarita so ordered the special margarita which cost me $12 that is not a special or half price The waitperson was attentive The jerk chicken was disappointing it was breast that was thin cut the flavor was good but dry, rice clearly from a box plantain was good and corn was good the beans lacked flavor Ribs is there such a thing as overcooked because yes they were and over sweet Was expecting more on reviews and disappointed We left after 6 pm an still restaurant was empty wider if they will make it

Yelp
This place was fantastic!!! There is super limited parking so Uber. The food is friggin stupid delicious!!! I was not expecting so many bites of flavor and surprises! The ribs are to die for! the chicken empanadas have a tiny touch of sweetness in the dough- trust me you will order multiple rounds! The Mexican street corn is AMaZING! The shrimp and mushrooms - babbeeeeeeee! If you have ever eaten chimpanones guisados ( stewed mushrooms this will take you there). The Rum punch is strong and the mojitos are refreshing. Great staff , service is a bit clunky but be patient and they are great! The Ambience is everything so be cool and be ready to eat! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped by, wanting to try something new. I had been wanting to try it for a while. Nice decor and extremely friendly staff. The jerk wings are amazing. We had two orders, the tostados supreme with pork were good and so was the tiki salmon. The salmon did get a bit dry toward the middle. We also had the mojo chicken. That was my least favorite. The corn was great but the rice and black beans didn't have much flavoring. I definitely plan to return, if for nothing else but the jerk wings.

Yelp
This place was great. Me and a friend stumbled on this place on a late Wednesday night and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! The Spicy Guava Margarita was excellent and the Jerk Chicken Sandwich was by far one of the best chicken sandwiches that I've ever had. Our waitress was very nice and expedient and the vibe was very chill and relax. The bartenders had no problem in telling me how certain drinks were made. It's a shame that this place doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Trust me, if you're looking for that "it" in a restaurant, try Wylie's. I'll most definitely be back and I'll bring a couple more people with me next time.

Yelp
I was driving through Edgewood Atlanta and was looking for some good eats and came across this place which I mistook for a real Caribbean restaurant. It's more like American Cuban food. Not very tasty food. Definitely not for you if you're looking for some good west Indian food. Is okay to have a drink but i wouldn't eat here again. It's more of a touristy spot. Very nice servers and decent parking.

Yelp
Obsessed with this spot. The manager was super friendly upon arrival. It's located down the street from my favorite Target. The decor is super adorable and THE DRINKS!!! I loved the rum punch it had like a hint passion fruit but not over powering. Everything tasted amazing not just the store bought jerk, and I can say that I'm Caribbean. This tasted like someone auntie or uncle was in the back cooking it up the jerk Cesar with plantains was an unexpected delight. I was stuffed and didn't have room for dessert but I will definitely be back to try.

Yelp
SO excited to have a great new restaurant in the neighborhood. Cool Caribbean vibe decor, tasty food and rum drinks that match up to the "real thing" at many vacation destinations, and such friendly service. This is a brand new restaurant on the corner of Wylie and Moreland in Reynoldstown that is sure to be a great anchor in a new-ish strip of businesses walkable from homes in the area. Ample parking if coming from further away. We visited on a Friday night about 1 week into their soft opening and just a day into holding a liquor license. Some of the food and drink options are still pending, but we're looking forward to going back soon. The place was pretty full but not uncomfortably so. Menus and ordering are contactless, and service is pretty quick (I don't recommend ordering entrees until you're close to done with apps). We had the rum punch, rum old fashioned, and rum daiquiri - all really tasty, not too too sweet, and the right amount of boozy. The tostones topped with picadillo were really perfect - nice spice and the plantains perfectly crisp but not sliced too thin. The jerk wings are grilled and served with a raspberry sauce. I really enjoyed my Baja chicken bowl, which came on a bed of yellow rice and black beans; the hubs had a 1/2 slab of ribs - very meaty and tasty too. All in all - excellent!

Yelp
Was excited to try this new addition to Reynoldstown. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. We didn't have any of the cocktails so I can't add anything on that. The pineapple upside down bread pudding was amazing! Service was a little slow so taking a point off for that.

Yelp
Love the decor and the music. The food was delicious and served by a friendly and highly competent server. Thanks, Pat, for making our 1st time memorable! We started with the Tostones ( they didn't last long, hence the late pic). My mom had the Jerk Chicken sandwich and I had the Mojo Chicken platter. Everything was seasoned just right. The chicken was juicy and just so, so good. We will be back.

Yelp
This restaurant is located off of Moreland Ave so entry can be a bit tough, due to busyness of street traffic during peak hours. The ambiance is colorful and inviting. They offer outdoor seating, which is great on a nice day. The outdoor area is also dog-friendly. Ordered the drink of the day and it was good! So hats off to the bartender. Ordered the Mojo Chicken. I liked the taste of the chicken, Black beans and rice. I was disappointed that the onion and bell pepper medley were overcooked so they didn't compliment the meal. My only concern about the restaurant is that I saw three staff members petting dogs, while outside talking to patrons but not coming back into the restaurant and washing their hands. One staff member did have on gloves and when she came back into the restaurant, she took them off. Another server handed me napkins after petting a dog. I discarded them.

Yelp
As I was driving through Moreland Ave, I came across Wylie & Rum and decided to give it a try. I went in with no expectation and left feeling fulfilled. The food was so tasty, I also requested a mocktail version of the rum punch and that was also refreshing. Additionally, I'd recommend this establishment if you're looking for an island experience on the corner of Moreland!

Yelp
I've been watching this little corner over the past few years wondering what was finally going to come in, and I'm so excited to have a place like this right in my neighborhood! A friend and I stopped by for a weeknight dinner to finally check it out and we were not disappointed. The inside is spacious with plenty of seating and a full bar, with a large patio outside as well. I was pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian options available, and the jackfruit bowls were delicious. We also ordered the loaded tostones, and although the toppings were very similar to what came in the bowl (rice, beans, and protein), the tostones themselves were solid. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the owners stopped by to say hi and were seeking honest feedback. I'm excited to come back and try their cuban sandwich and empanadas, and check out the rum drinks at the bar.

Yelp
-The food is TASTY! Grab the Chipotle Shrimp dish and your taste buds will sing a lil island song! I haven't had a bad bite there yet & I'm a bi-weekly patron. -The ambiance is decent considering the corner they're on (Wylie & Moreland) isn't the most desirable. They worked hard to create a nice, secluded from the street outdoor patio situation. However, Friday night can be interesting as far as the "locals" in the area go. Just do a take-out order! -Now the service is why it only gets 4's Word to the wise...ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE. I think the kitchen gets a bit overwhelmed with the crowds and forgets things. Lol! However, the staff is always nice and super accommodating if something like that happens. Overall, it's a must visit recommendation from me to you! You're welcome

Yelp
Food was excellent. Only suggestion is that sever wash hands before serving folk food.. Can't have your hands every where and then take ppl their food.
