The Best Gay Bars In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation
"A big red X on the brick wall near the entrance literally marks the spot at this Midtown gay bar that sits at the intersection of the rainbow crosswalks. X, or what everyone calls Ten, is a single, simple room setup with two bars and a dance floor. When we’re worn out from clutching vodka sodas and grooving to pop 2k remixes, we hit their patio. It’s perfect for people-watching, and it got a serious foliage upgrade (a silver lining of the pandemic) with a living plant wall providing an oasis from the street. Though not the most popular place in the gayborhood, the central location, theme nights, and all-seasons patio still make X a scene-y spot." - juli horsford
"X Midtown (TEN) is right in the heart of Atlanta’s “gayborhood” at the intersection of 10th and Piedmont and has plenty of space for patrons to enjoy the bar’s “stand and be seen” atmosphere. On busy nights, there’s a full bar pouring drinks outside. X Midtown often hosts big names and community events, including political fundraisers and rallies, a raucous drag brunch on Sunday afternoons, and cabaret performances throughout the weekend. Atlanta’s warm weather means there are plenty of nights to sip under the stars while checking out pretty boys in Polo shirts." - Robbie Medwed

Enjoyed my time here at the start of the bar crawl. The space was not very big for the event, but as people were transitioning in and out it all worked out. There are two bars here separated by a short wall. Then, another area on the side where you can place food orders. You had a direct view into the kitchen from this area. It was a little more quiet over there; at least out of the way of the larger crowd. We had a chicken sandwich (that tasted like fish because of the tartar sauce) and a breakfast quesadilla. That quesadilla was everything. It was flaky and cooked to perfection. It could have used a little seasoning, but it wasn’t bad at all. The mimosas were good too. My favorite was the cranberry. The other two flavors didn’t taste flavored at all; just like champagne. The bartenders were so nice and they worked fast. The young lady serving food was nice too; and they had her serving all those people alone. She stayed poised the e tire time. There is a parking lot right outside the building, but it’s not very big. Street parking is available though. The restrooms here were super cute and super clean. I’d go back here sometime.

Next level show by the queens. Aspen, Aqua and the rest of the cast were hilarious, talented and just outstanding all around performers. The queens here work the room, one of the best shows I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot of drag shows. Bartenders and music were on point. Love this venue. 10/10

Very nice facility located in the heart of midtown. Within walking distance of various other establishments. I was walking by but what really drew was the music they had playing on the patio was very welcoming. Inside it has a unique layout that you really don't see at many of the other bars in the area. Friendly staff and overall general atmosphere.

I came here for my baby's 21st birthday and this place is a whole vibe. Everyone was warm and friendly. The drinks were fantastic and our bartender, Austin was awesome! I look forward to visiting again!

The loml and I were in Atlanta for some schooling. Oh boy, did we get it. We were seated at a table near the stage. The ladies at the bar were watching and commenting on "Ru Paul's Drag Race" before the live show. The show was your typical drag show with lip syncing, outrageous outfits, and a great and friendly atmosphere. The bartender was a huge rippling muscle boy with arms bigger than my legs. After a few drinks, the dollars were flying! Next time, I'm in Atlanta. I will definitely be going back.

Good crowd, drinks were strong enough but music was REALLY basic 😴, patio doesn’t even have a speaker to at least play the music lightly. Didn’t have any performers. I went on a Saturday night.
Atlanta needs to step up their gay scene… even Philly’s is better and busier than this.

Yelp
I have been here several times, and it's nearest competition, Blake's. I prefer X simply because it's more open-space and has a better patio. They've also built a stage for drag, which, although small, is more than other bars in the area.
Not a five because a couple bartenders are rather unpleasant, the bathroom situation is odd, and the in-house headliner (Shawnna) is sort of a tip-hungry jerk--not in the sassy, funny way.

Yelp
Horrible bathroom situation, same exact 15 songs on replay every day with no dj and no events, shady business calling the cops and closing down nearby events to try to gain customers. I've also heard personal stories of people being banned for leaving negative reviews.

Yelp
After a fun evening at 10, the manager on duty started to remove the chairs from the dance floor. We were dancing and having fun and then stepped to the side when we saw the chairs being removed. Next thing we know, after spending approx $100 on drinks, one of our friends was kicked out for "getting in the manager's face." If by "getting in his face" he meant that we were startled by a 4 prong metal table in our faces but then we apologized and stepped to the side when he walked by, then we definitely did that. 5 stars up until this point, but then it quickly became a 0/5. But due to Yelp rules we have to give a 1 star review. We're sorry Tim! Please go back and watch the CCTV tomorrow and you'll see the reason for this review.

Yelp
It's my favorite place to dance
I love how they play the music with the Original video

Yelp
UNSAFE. I was pickpocketed while there and they also tried to pickpocket my friend. Talked to the cop there and he said lots of people were being pickpocketed and didn't seem to care. Bathroom situation is awful and fights almost started because of it. Avoid at all costs.

Yelp
um why doesn't this have reviews? much better than blake's. go here - bigger, better music, more bar areas, better mix of people etc.
