Frelard’s Tarsan i Jane Is About to Become a Burger Pop-up | Eater Seattle

"As a takeout-only pop-up running for the next three weekends, XITA will feature burgers cooked by Perfecte Rocher on the restaurant’s wood-fire grill using Snake River Farms wagyu beef, with a hazelnut-finished bacon option and some pork sandwiches; burgers and sandwiches are priced $13–$16, and beer from local brewery Bad Jimmy’s is available as an add-on. XITA is named using the Valencian spelling for the Cheeta from the old “Tarzan” movies." - Gabe Guarente

What a unique experience! This is a Chinese bbq place. You grill your own meat skewers on the table top. In addition, they have other Chinese dishes. My favorite was the pork intestines, fried mini buns and taro chips. The service was great. We had a big group and they gave us an individual room on the 3rd floor away from the crowds. We rang the bell whenever we needed assistance. Overall, it’s a great experience. We’ll come back.

I came here for lunch one day and had a great time! This BBQ spot offers both Korean BBQ as well as Chinese skewers. On top of that, there are a variety of Korean and Chinese dishes that you can order on top of the BBQ, such as cold noodles. The staff here grill the meat for you as you eat it. We got a variety of the meats as well as skewers. For dishes, we got their Chinese style chicken gizzards and cartilage as well as their Korean-style cold noodles. Everything was delicious. The meats were tender and juicy. I loved how they used real charcoal to grill the meats, which added a smoky flavor. You were also provided sauce as well as Chinese-style BBQ seasoning to eat with the meats. The chicken gizzard and cartilage were full of flavor and a generous portion. And, the cold noodles were so refreshing and light. The meal ended with complimentary yogurt, which was perfect. Would definitely come back or recommend to anyone who can't decide between Chinese or Korean BBQ!

I didn't want to judge. However, I went to eat at 11 o'clock at noon and started to have diarrhea at 2 o'clock. This has been going to the toilet several times. Seriously, it's really not delicious. I ordered several kinds of meat, but the pickled one I promoted is estimated to be a long time. Big face lift is vinegar-flavored sesame sauce. Not adapted. It is not recommended to choose his home.

Their beef is really delicious. Although the environment doesn’t look very fancy, the flavor is great. The staff will help you grill the whole time and ask you how well you want the meat cooked, which feels considerate. I also like the two types of dipping sauces they offer, the red dry seasoning makes the meat taste flavorful, and the yellow sauce is a bit sweet and helps refresh your taste. I don’t recommend ordering skewers because the heat can be uneven, so some parts may end up undercooked or burnt. The beef tastes much better than the lamb. Overall, it’s a great value for the price. I went right when they opened, and it filled up quickly. If you don’t want to wait, it’s better to go early.

Xi Top BBQ is definitely over the top in all the best ways. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this spot is all about delivering an authentic Northern Chinese BBQ experience. The use of real wood charcoal makes a huge difference providing that perfect bite with smoky flavor that’s impossible to fake. Meats here are incredibly fresh and marinated just right. Those rib fingers might be some of the best I’ve ever had. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Don’t miss the deep-fried pork either. Super crispy, not overly sour and oily while impressively staying crispy after cooling down. What really rounds out the experience is the service. The staff are super friendly and always on top of changing the grills before anything gets burnt. If you're craving that real deal Northern Chinese taste, this is the place to be at.

My new favorite bbq spot in the area :) The food is pretty good! came here twice already and both times were good! They cook the meat for you and grill it at the table. The beef (rib fingers) is yummy, try the sweet potato with sweet sauce, it's fun pulling them up and dipping in water. Friendly staff and quick service! Could be a bit of wait if it's busy since they don't take reservations. (around 20-25 min)

The food and service are fabulous! The staff even prepare a dipping sauce for you and check if you have any preferences, like removing scallions or cilantro. The meat is of good quality, and the server helps cook it for you which enhance the experience. However, the prices are on the higher side compared to other places.

Came here after seeing some videos from TikTok. Had their beef and lamb skewers cooked over real charcoal. There was also another protein that we ordered that wasn't on the skewers, which tasted great with the pepper flake seasoning. It was not overly expensive, and we had a great meal overall with quick service. Will come back to try other menu items.
