"The family-owned local chain has a slew of spicy noodle options that will fulfill a craving, but the liang pi, or cold-skinned noodles, is a stand-out. The meat-free cold dish with pieces of spongey gluten is spicy, nutty, and just a little bit sweet." - Eater Staff

Great location that is consistent in the rich flavor and awesome service. They have plenty of seating in the back. My friends and I ordered the dumplings, lamb sandwich, minced pork pulled noodles and lamb noodles. Highly recommend this location if you want a quick bite. They have a spice and water station as well. Expect everything here super spicy and delicious. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. Highly recommend this location because of the service, quality and plenty of seating in the back

This place is delicious. So many delicious flavors and spices. The lamb and the hand ripped noodles cooked in the “Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles” was cooked to perfection. I can only imagine how the rest of the menu taste. This is definitely my new lunch spot on Fridays until I tire myself out.

Spicy tingly beef and spicy tingly beef with noodle soup. I go to Xi’an Famous Foods a lot and mostly happy. The quality is fairly consistent. On one visit...the beef and cabbage was not cooked enough. A few pieces of beef were too chewy. And the vegetables were overly crunchy and tasted raw. This has never happened at any other location. Might just be a one time thing but nonetheless I had undercooked veggies. I’ll stick with the other locations. Flushing is my favorite! Cheaper and more options on the menu too!

Spinach dumpling was amazing. Loved the broth/sauce it was in. The vegetable hand ripped noodles was great. The hand made noodles were not the softest, but the broth was pretty good and had a good flavor to it. We also tried the pork hand ripped noodles. Again the noodles not the most tender; however, the pork was really good and tender. We mixed in a little bit of the broth leftover from the spinach dumpling dish. We noticed from many sites that they were rated in the top 3 for the best hand pulled noodles in NYC. After trying them, I would agree. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was clean. Prices were fair as well. Overall it was pretty good 👍.

Dined here during Friday lunch and I had to wait about 15 minutes to order and receive my food. They did have two kitchens but there were just so many people coming. Also only accepted cash during that time because their card reader broke. My spicy cumin lamb noodle was great. I would come back to try out some other dishes.

What you see in the pictures is a Pork Burger and a Spicy Lamb Fried Noodle. Pork bun is very good. The noodles were a bit hard - I would of liked it cooked longer. Very busy during lunch time. The noodles are not as spicy as you would expect for a Xi'an restaurant, however given that it was located in Flatiron where there are not many authentic chinese restaurants - it makes sense that they would tone it down to appeal to the locals.

Love their A1 Liang Pi noodles. It is so spicy but so addictive. The chrysanthemums iced tea is very refreshing and not too sweet, and it helps calm the burning sensation down. Overall a cheap but satisfying meal. And the noodles are vegan!

Came here to try their spicy cumin lamb noodles. They were still good but I was mildly let down. The noodles cost 11$. They are worth the cost as they are pretty big and doughy and fill you up. The lamb was very tender and fatty and the overall flavor was good. The only issue is that the noodles are thick and the suace is oil based. The noodles don't absorb the hot oil that well and the dish is overly oily. The dish is not bad but it does not live up to its hype. The staff is extreamly nice though and the food came out very quick.
