The 15 Best Chinese Restaurants In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Cantonese or sichuan dishes may be more abundant in Atlanta, but the city isn’t limited to the two regional cuisines. Enter Xi’an Gourmet House in Midtown—a small but mighty venue with the same outstanding quality as their original (and very popular) Duluth location. Their biang biang hand-pulled noodle selection (specifically the dry spicy cumin lamb version) should get a golden noodle plaque or some kind of best-in-class designation. And if your eyes gravitate toward the “burger” part of their menu, don’t resist. They’re actually rou jia mo, and these meat-in-a-bun snacks make the perfect appetizer as you wait on your noodles to cool. Even though most people come here for takeout, Xi’an has free parking (with their menu code) and is a chill place to post up for lunch in the usually hectic Midtown." - candy hom

The Best Dumplings In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"The menu at this second location is pretty similar to the original Duluth restaurant—and not watered down for Midtown taste buds. While Xi’an is better known for their spicy cumin lamb noodle, don’t overlook the pork dumplings. They come in a hefty order of a dozen or so, and you can either get them “dry” (boiled and served with a side of dipping sauce) or in a spicy/sour noodle soup, which will clear your sinuses in a second. The dining area is small, so most people come here for takeout orders (you can get validated one-hour parking in The Mark garage). Look for the validation code on the menu board, then look for us, stuffing our faces." - candy hom

Best Sichuan, Szechuan, Chinese Restaurants in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Located at Jusgo’s food court, Xi’an Gourmet House focuses mainly on dishes from the Shaanxi region of China, northwest of Sichuan. Shaanxi cuisine often incorporates Sichuan peppercorns and chilis in its dishes. Try the liang pi cold skin noodles, thick and chewy wheat noodles mixed with sliced cucumbers and sprouts and tossed in vinegar and chili oil, the whole fish with pickled peppers, or the hot and numbing dry fried beef." - Eater Staff

Google
We love coming here for the spicy vegetable hand pulled noodles! They’re made by hand and will adjust the spice level if you don’t like super spicy. The food is always so fresh and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The seating is food court style, so it’s not glamorous or anything but who cares when the food is so good! Recommend getting a little dessert from the Japanese market right there after.

Google
damn good food. the staff is super helpful. get the pork bun and lamb bun, they are amazing basic and solid food here. noodles are soooo good. I've traveled all over SE Asia and this is a very authentic experience. walk up tell the lady what sort of experience or tastes you want. "I like spicy cold noodles", "I want a hot noodle soup, no meat" whatever and you will get a good meal at a very reasonable price.

As a person who lived in Lanzhou and Xi'an for almost 20 years, I know what an authentic 炒凉皮Stir Fried Cold Skin Noodle is, what they're selling is NOT even close to the right thing, anyone from China can tell you that.

Alannah Arnold Brown

Google
Michelin recommended for a reason. We had the lamb cumin superwide hand pulled noodles and the cold skin Tofu. Both were layered with vegetables, spices, and outstanding flavor. It was a fun experience finding this spot in a supermarket and eating from trays but that just made it better.

Tina Ly

Google
Loved the service from the woman at the counter, and this place was so super busy for takeout! The noodles were so chewy, thick, slippery, and fun to eat! I got the numbing dry fried beef on a whim, and it was surprisingly my favorite item (coming from a noodle lover). It was very crispy and not too spicy in my opinion.

Google
Technically this location is the first store and the one in midtown is secondary, and I guess the food here should be better than midtown store. But I was wrong.. The quality of the noodles in two stores are the same: hand-pulled, chewy, fresh and delicious, but the soup base here is not so good. Midtown store serve noodles in soy sauce soup, but this one has only light soup. Also the noodles here seem to come with less meat. Given that the price here is cheaper than midtown store, I would still recommend coming, but do not expect too much from the noodle soup. They also have other dishes that midtown store don't have, especially those stir-fryed food. Lamb here is also in good quality.

Google
I got the vegetable hand ripped noodles and they were amazing !! The noodles were to die for and super fresh. 100% would recommend. Flavor was good, had some spice and it also included tofu.

Akira Sakurai

Google
They have an excellent sauce for dumplings, and this place had been our favorite—until today. I ordered the shredded pork with green bell pepper, but what I got was filled with soggy jalapeños with only a few pieces of pork. Do they not know the difference between jalapeños and green bell peppers? I nearly dehydrated to death from sweating so much!

Yelp
Update!!! I finally get to try the food here. Everything is great now I understand the hype about this place. The dumplings are handmade and so juicy. Hand pulled noodles is my favorite texture. Customer service is great. The table isn't so convenient since there's only one table on their side of the stall. They wasn't that busy on the week day so everything seems pretty clean and organized. I don't know about the weekend. Anyhow, I'll be back!

Yelp
I came here with my family due to my relatives craving their hand pulled noodles that people rave about. I hadn't heard of Xi'an Gourmet House before and wished I had looked on Yelp before arriving because their dishes do look really good, and I wish I would've looked to know what to order. Their menu isn't very descriptive nor did they have many pictures, so we quickly ordered 1 beef hand pulled noodles and 2 homemade beef ma shi noodle soup as others were waiting behind us to order. I didn't know what the ma shi noodles was- I just assumed it was a popular noodle dish since it was at the top of the menu and it had "homemade" in the name. Once our food came out though, we were quickly disappointed. I guess we didn't notice the word "soup" in the name, because it came out as a huge bowl of very very hot broth. 3 of us burnt our tongues trying to eat it, and although we sat there for awhile waiting for it to cool down (even going to buy appetizers at other restaurants), the broth never cooled down even enough to be an eating temperature. It was just too hot to eat for any of us that we had to pack it to go- which wasn't exactly easy either. Imagine packing a whole bowl of soup into a small container- it spilled everywhere. We contemplated just leaving it and not even taking it to go, but that would've been a waste of our time and money considering we took no more than 5 bites from each bowl. The beef hand pulled noodles was more appetizing but it'd be a huge stretch to call it good. I found that the dish had way too much noodle and not enough beef to go with all the noodles. My picture is deceiving as it looks like there's a lot of beef, but the beef was just in big chunks (wish they cut it more) at the top, and there's plenty of noodle underneath. The noodles were long and thick making it hard to cut to eat, so you just had to bite into it and rip the remaining from your mouth. I found this makes the dish very hard to share in addition to being hard to eat. It was very dry. There's sauce at the bottom of the bowl, but I wish it had been distributed through the whole bowl so that the top and middle of the dish wasn't so dry. Now, aside from the food, the reason for the low rating and why I was extremely disappointed in my meal was the service. Honestly, the food was probably so unimpressive to me because I was already disappointed that I probably had preconceived opinions that the food wouldn't be good. We ordered immediately after my family did. We were right behind them in line. But they got their food after probably 15 minutes or so. And I'm giving a 2 star review rather than a 1 star because their food actually did look good and all 4 of them enjoyed and were very pleased with their meals. We were excited to get our dishes after seeing theirs. BUT we ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food. We stood there and stood there and nobody acknowledged us. We were confused why other people were being served their food who ordered after us. We saw to go meals being made. I was informed by my relatives that this place gets to go orders or people who call ahead a lot, so maybe that's why they were getting their food first. For this reason, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and remained patiently waiting. After 35 minutes of waiting though, we approached the cashier and asked about our food. We watched her speak to the kitchen who looked confused, then saw them grab a ticket from the counter and move it to the front of their orders. Nobody said a word to us and resumed doing their jobs. We stood there for another 10 minutes unacknowledged as we saw them make our food through the kitchen window assuring me that they did in fact forget about our order. We never received an apology. There was no acknowledgment regarding what happened or for the wait. We were just handed our food and that was it. We were not pleased, and we truly regretted even ordering food from here. It also made me wonder if our dishes came out the way they did because they were forgotten about and rushed? Their reviews are way too good. And the 3 other bowls my family ordered ahead of us were good so it can't be that their food is bad. It looks like we just had a bad experience hence why I'm giving at least 2 stars. But I wish we had gotten an apology at the very least or been acknowledged.

Yelp
-amazing noodle texture -flavorful but very salty -took longer than expected -asked for no cilantro and they added it anyways -don't think I would come again but it wasn't bad -pork dumplings were flavorful but a little gamey

Yelp
I can't get enough of Biang Biang noodles at Xian! The spicy cumin lamb noodles are a definite winner, and the beef noodles are delicious as well. Whether in dry or soup form, the portions are generous with the perfect balance of meat, noodles, and cabbage. Xian is located in Jusgo supermarket's food court. They also have a location in the city.

Nausheen P.

Yelp
You'll find the best noodles here. Husband got lamb and I got the vegetarian option. We also got the cucumber salad. The portion size was pretty massive and honestly, the best I've ever had. It was just so incredibly flavorful! The service was fast and the folks were really nice too. Just take a look at those pictures and you'll make your way here.

Yelp
Got the hand ripped noodles with lamb. Just the right amount of spice for me but a little too spicy for me wife and kids. Noodles were tender with a nice chew. Note there is a fee if you want to use a credit card so bring cash to save. Overall delicious food at a great price. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
The dishes were decently tasty, but whether they lived up to the Michelin recommendation is debatable. My Stir Fried Tomato and Eggs Hand Pulled Noodles "dry" turned out to be not so dry after all, with a surprising amount of liquid at the bottom. While not unpleasant, it wasn't what I had in mind. As a fan of Chinese-style tomato and eggs, I enjoyed the flavors, although the seasoning gave it a twist reminiscent of dumpling sauce, with hints of soy sauce and black vinegar. The noodles, while impressively long as seen in the photos, were a bit too thick and firm for my liking. I think they would have been better with a slightly flatter texture. My friend ordered the Mount Qi Pork Hand Ripped Noodles in Soup, and it didn't quite hit the mark for me. Once again, the soup had a similar flavor profile to the dumpling sauce, but with a tangier and heavier consistency that left me reaching for my soda after a few bites. Also, my dish came out quickly, but unfortunately, it was left sitting on the counter for quite some time, getting cold as we waited for my friend's order. It appeared that they were busy preparing a few to-go orders before attending to her soup. Whether the delay was due to the soup needing more time to cook or just poor planning and lack of coordination, I'm not entirely sure. While our lunch was enjoyable overall, it's not a place I see myself craving to return to. Plus, I was really distracted by constantly having to swat away gnats and flies during my entire meal.

Yelp
I was a big fan of their 23. Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles. Noodles are wide and thin with lots of lamb and some cabbage and bean sprouts. Given the price and quantity, I felt as though it was a fair match. Definitely going to be coming again.

Yelp
For the price and portion sizes I would say this is a pretty solid option. Located inside the jusgo food court with plenty of grocery shop parking spots. The spicy boiled fish comes with rice and has lots of veggies inside such as bean sprout, cabbage and wood ear mushroom. I would say they definitely packed it with veggies and fish however I wish it was a little spicier. It was not too spicy or flavorful in my opinion. The spicy cumin lamb noodles came with thick and wide noodles, lamb, cabbage and beansprout as well. It was flavorful and the noodle texture was good. Overall, for the price point I would say this is a great spot for takeout or a quick lunch. The service was good and the food court was not too busy on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of options at the food court and this spot itself.

Yelp
Delicious hand pulled noodles. Hubby got the cumin lamb and I got the vegetable noodles. Both had excellent broth, garlic, and chili oil flavor. It's located right across from the Japanese store in the Jusgo food court. Food comes out pretty fast.

Yelp
I ordered three dishes for to go which took about 10-15 mins. There were a handful of orders ahead of mine. My favorite was the fried green beans. It was very flavorful with a ton of minced pork. The noodles had a lot of veggies such as Napa and beansprouts, it was vinegary, chewy, and spicy. I really enjoyed the chewiness of the noodles. My least favorite was the fish. This dish also had a ton of beansprouts, really not my favorite. The soup was salty and a bit salty. The fish though was too soft/mushy.

Yelp
I just absolutely cannot rate this place too low because the food is so good but it has definitely gone downhill in appearance and customer service. The counter was littered with trash and boxes. There were carts of fresh produce just sitting in the hall they were pulling from and the people were less friendly than when I've been before. In addition, one thing that was very bad was that the menu prices listed was not what they charged. I ordered three items and all three of them I was charged a higer price than what the menu said. They said the menu just hadn't been updated yet but it was electronic and I feel that's not something like reprinting physical menus that takes a long time. Anyways, the food here is absolutely wonderful. They do an excellent job of incorporating spicy to fit your level. This day I had beef with brown sauce. The brown sauce has such a wonderful thick consistency and caramelization of sugars in there that coat the beef that it's one of the most delicious, simple dishes you can have. I'm unsure if I will return or if I do I might walk around to the other side of the food court as there's some very impressive and clean looking booths that might also offer great food

Yelp
A stall inside of the Jusgo food court that has Xi'an themed foods. I visited this stall specifically for their biang biang noodles, which I found to be too delicate for my liking. I'm used to these noodles, that I've even had in China, to be a little more toothsome and not fall apart as easily. The thinner hand-pulled noodles were fine. The main issue is that all of the dishes I tried here are loaded with vinegar. Typically, the restaurant would let the customer add the vinegar. This is my #2 spot for noodles in Atlanta. My favorite item here is actually their mini juicy dumplings. Which you can also buy frozen from the case on the right side of the stall. That way you can make them at home in a non-vinegar based environment.

Yelp
The space is on the smaller side and I went around 3:30-4:00 pm on a Saturday so there was a bit of a wait for a table. That's to be expected and there is a small area with chairs to sit and wait. There are various parking options around the restaurant and inside the place there is a code to get an hr of free parking. You order at the counter and then the food is brought to your table. The spicy cumin lamb burger wasn't necessarily spicy but the blend of spices were delicious along with the belle peppers and onions. The bread was on the dryer side so maybe if the lamb was juicier or had some sort of sauce that would be better. All the hand pulled noodles were the perfect texture. The beef noodles had a stronger tomato taste and the blend of veggies definitely made for a balanced meal. I ordered the soup to be spicy but I found that it was barely spicy even after adding mounds of chili oil. I liked the flavor of the broth and the portions were filling. I was even able to save the other half of my soup to eat the next day. I would definitely come back and try more dishes!

Yelp
I came here on a Friday to order lunch. After reading review on yelp, I decided to go with the curry lamb noodle. I had some doubt about the quality of the food, but it turned out very good. i got extra hot sauce in a cup, but did not have to use it. it tasted very good by itself already. It is inside a food court, so i had to go get the food myself from the counter. it took a few minutes to have it ready. I had to find myself an empty table and enjoy the good dish. i would definitely come back to try different dishes. also, the price I paid after tax was $13.11 ( plus tip).. yelp got it wrong

Yelp
TL;DR: I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my Taiwanese mother and she approves. ARRIVAL: Had no idea this Taiwanese food court was here! Parking is very easy and you'll enter directly into the food court using the right side entrance. AMBIANCE: It feels like a typical grocery or mall food court, nothing special to share here. There seems ample table space even in the summer, but some tables weren't cleaned (not sure who is responsible for this as most of the tables seem to be used to customers of any of the eateries. MENU: The menu has a good option of soup/soupless and other options. I opted for the dry cumin lamb hand-ripped noodles and my mom got the beef with soup hand-ripped noodles. FOOD: I absolutely LOVE the cumin noodles. My mom really enjoyed her beef noodle soup as well, but lemme get back to these cumin noodles. They are extremely flavorful, wonderfully spicy and honestly the only thing I crave regularly and need to order delivery. Be warned it IS spicy and this is coming from a spicy lover. I've had my fair share of hand-pulled noodles and the noodles themselves are my favorite thusfar. I've had them at restaurants where they are too thick and don't cook evenly or fold over on themselves or get stuck together and has a similar effect, making them undercooked, heavy, and unappetizing - but every time i've had them here/midtown, they are perfectly cooked and not to thick or thin. SERVICE: It's simple counter service where you order and grab your food from them. They were patient with our questions when ordering and when my mom picked it up (I was busy ordering popcorn chicken elsewhere) she said the uncles in the back were really nice about adding spicy oil for her soup when she asked how to make it spicy spicy. EXPERIENCE: Overall, it was a very accessible spot for GREAT hand-ripped noodles in the Duluth area and I have since ordered delivery multiple times (from the midtown location) and will be back here in person when I'm in the area! PRICE: A little more than what I expected to pay for general food in GA, but happy to pay for the yumminess i'm getting! OVERALL: Will 100% return as months later i still haven't stopped talking about it.

Yelp
I have eaten here multiple times but I love the noodles and bread here. Today we ordered the Xinjiang noodles and the cumin lamb noodles. The xinjiang noodles are such a large portion, two people could share it. Also, bring your own drink or purchase something before you come here because they don't have good drink options here (they only sell cans of soda).

Yelp
I literally saw the chef with glasses was smoking while cooking in the kitchen before I placed my order. The ash dropped on whatever food he was cooking or preparing; then he grabbed a dirty towel from the stainless steel shelf in front of him, and wiped the ash off. The chef had no hat and was touching his mouth before retuning to his job. It was disgusting, and I just walked away without ordering.

Yelp
AUTHENTIC XI'AN FOOD!! i saw xi'an gourmet while browsing Chowbus and the reviews and food seemed great. xi'an is famous for its hand-pulled noodles and lamb dishes, so i had to try! BTW if you haven't used Chowbus CHECK IT OUT!! traveling to duluth or doraville can be a hike if you live in ATL and Chowbus is a lifesaver. use my CODE: UNDERTHEDISH for $10 OFF $20!!! not trying to promo or anything but seriously it's so good and worth it. onto the review... although i got it delivered, it was still amazing despite not being super fresh (i did have to heat it up). what i got: - Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles(No Soup): you could tell the noodles were hand pulled and homemade - thick, imperfect, and delicious. the sauce was flavorful and tons of cumin with a nice kick to it. - Stir Fried Eggplant W. Spicy Garlic Sauce: your standard stir fried eggplant that you get at a Chinese restaurant. had nice large tender pieces of eggplant, but nothing out of ordinary. - Hot Boiled Spicy Fish Fillet W. Soft Tofu: i was surprised by this dish. the sauce wasn't too oily like some spicy fish fillet dishes and the soft tofu complimented the dish nicely. - Spicy Cumin Lamb Burger: probably would have been better fresh since the bread did get a little cold, but the meat was nice, similar flavoring to the noodles but in a sandwich.

Yelp
Atlanta finally has biang biang noodles from Xi'an. I've been waiting for this since I first tried Xi'an Famous Foods in NYC more than 10 years ago, and I gotta say that this place does a decent job. More than their biang biang noodles, I really enjoy the cold noodles with tofu skin. The food here is pretty consistent as well.

Yelp
I came back here recently as I had been twice before with good results. I order a hand pulled noodle bowl. I notice they charge more than the board price. I question why. The young guy says oh its correct on the Chinese board. I say well thats good but then you should put new price over or just flick the lights off and let the wrong sign stay dark. I look at the receipt and its unreadable. A young girl came over and reprinted it. When the food comes its not the pulled noodle. At this time they have a big line. I eat a bit but it just wasnt so good. I asked why it wasnt pulled noodle and they say nothing. OK...Im over this place.

Yelp
Always wanted walked by and finally tried it today. It was good, but we were disappointed because we expected better. JiaJiang Noodle was very disappointing and completely lacked flavor. The Szechuan Pig Intestine was flavorful, but the intestine was overfried and very crunchy rendering it unenjoyable. The Kung Pao Fish was the highlight with great flavor balance and fresh ingredients. And unfortunately, service was not very welcoming nor friendly. We are glad we tried it, but definitely will not be returning as there are many other more enjoyable choices.

Yelp
Cumin lamb hand pulled noodle was bad . i get 3 small pieces of 'left over fatty pieces' of lamb with the noodle. i tried the beef version and same when it comes to the meat . I might as well order the noodle minus the meat if there is such an item on the menu. They did not update their menu prices aka the one hanging on the wall. Not asking for big chunky sirloin but a least give decent pieces of meat. Not the ones that look like garbage material if that makes sense .

Yelp
Just a little history lesson. For those who do not know, Xi'an is where the Terracotta Army sculptures were discovered in China. On with my review: I was looking for some authentic Chinese food and after browsing through the Yelp reviews here it seemed like they had really good dumplings. Tonight I ordered about 30 and ate almost all of them, that is how good they are. Now, they are not anything like Xiao Long Bao that one would find in Shanghai, but they are somewhat juicy and not dry like many of the ones I have found at many other Chinese restaurants. My wife wanted Mongolian beef, which they do not serve (makes sense, as that is a Chinese-American dish), but the guy on the phone said they had something similar, stir-fried beef and onion and I must say, I tried it and it was extremely good. Overall, this is a great place. I will eat here more often. Note: If you have never been here before. Xi'an Gourmet House is located inside the Jusgo Supermarket off Venture Drive, there are two entrances to the Supermarket, if you go to the far right that takes you directly inside the food court where they have several restaurants within the supermarket. Yelp
Great Biang Biang noodles! I have a mild obsession with these chewy hand pulled noodles and Xian gets it right. The lamb curry is my favorite with its intense flavor. I also really enjoy the pork with pickled cabbage. Least would be the beef noodles which lacked much flavor. Prices are affordable and portions are great for sharing. Would recommend!

Yelp
I passed by this restaurant a couple of times, it looked tiny and it was always full so I didn't feel like entering before. Today it was raining, I was walking to another place located a couple of blocks from the midtown station but I was dying in the cold T^T I passed by the restaurant and the smell was amazing. I stand outside for a bit. There was an amazing smell coming from the inside so I decided to step in. The place is small but it doesn't feel crowded, rather cozy. The cashier was really kind and patient and helped me to decide which food to order (I was scared of food being too spicy, cause I can't handle spice at all but he offered a non spicy option which tasted perfect) I ordered the dried beef noodles. They arrived a couple of minutes later. The food tasted really good, the flavors of the noodles, beef and veggies were balanced. The beef was really soft and the noodles were in the right point, not dried, not soggy. Everything looked fresh and appealing and it really felt like authentic food. The place in general and the tables were really clean and neat. The music was vivid but chill, nothing crazy, and at a good volumen so you can easily talk to other people. There were some groups of friends, a family and other people by themselves (like me) so you don't feel out of place either you have company or not. TLDR the place is cool, the music is amazing and I'll def come back again :)

Yelp
Quickly scanned the latest Yelp reviews and this place seemed to get consistently high ratings. Since I had done the Beef Noodle Soup last time, I asked what I should order that's very good - she told me to get the BIANG BIANG NOODLES ... there's a picture on the menu wall but it's not on the price list ... so I don't know the price but my total incl. tax was $12.67. It was fun not to know what to expect, and the flavors were definitely unique. It had hand-pulled flat noodles (very salty), Sichuan spices (aka numbing), tomatoes (the best part - totally unexpected in a Chinese dish), egg, minced pork, bean sprouts, tofu, green onions, and no soup. Interesting bowl of ingredients and textures that worked. I'd get it again :)

FIRST This place is located inside the supermarket. Once you walk in it's off to your right or just walk straight ahead. I recommend calling in your order. There are several restaurants in this building all of which seem worth checking out. I tried the spicy lamb ripped noddle. It was good but maybe too spicy and not enough meat. Also had the chicken fried rice that was good. The best thing was the sweet and sour pork. I recommend it. I didn't take a picture of that.

Yelp
I didn't feel like driving all the way to Atlanta just for a delicious spicy lamb burger and I was craving one so bad.. So I hit up Yelp and realized ohhhh Snap There's another one 7 miles from my house so I hauled ass and when I got there my intentions were a lamb Burger and then straight home but all these people were dining in and I saw them tearing up all these fabulous looking dishes!!! I ordered some chicken stew and fried eggplant and another Lamb burger... ohhh my the chicken stew was so damn good and the Fried eggplant I dipped into the chicken stew juice it was FANTASTIC I love the food here

Yelp
Great tasty place for a quick pickup when you're feeling savory, spicy, and maybe soupy! Their xi'an cuisine includes a lot of noodles, both dry and with soup, and many have hand-ripped noodles for that really nice satisfying chewiness. My favorite dish is the lamb pao-mo - rich brothy soup with cubes of white bread that soak up all the flavor. The broth is sooo delicious and they have a generous amount of lamb as well. I have also had the mount qi pork hand-pulled noodles, which was very savory and warming with a mildly spicy broth. It was good but got salty pretty quickly. I have seen friends order the beef dry hand-ripped noodles, which looked delicious but heard that that also leans on the salty side. For a lighter dish, the liang pi cold noodles are also delicious with a light vinegary taste. I love that I have this option pretty close by. I'll definitely be coming by regularly to try their other dishes and for affordable comfort food-y meals!

Yelp
As noted in my previous review, I TOTALLY ordered the wrong thing the last time I came here. Apparently, Xi'an Gourmet House has been rumored to be even better than Xi'an Famous Foods in NYC. I ordered random items off the menu last time without regard to what they are known for: their "hand ripped" noodles. I finally got to try the cumin lamb noodles and good god why have I not tried these before. Freaking amazing flavor, meat is tender, noodles are soft. And the spice is perfect. Speaking of which. Even though it's the New Year.... who needs New Years resolutions when you can just eat all the noods?!? Will make a much needed stop this weekend lol.

Yelp
I got the beef noodle soup with hand pulled noodles. I wanted the lamb, but they said the lamb had no soup, and that I had to order the beef. Why they can't put lamb instead of beef - who knows, but it's the second time I've experienced this at Taiwanese restaurants who can't modify their menu. Shrug. First of all, I ordered when I got there and it took around 30 minutes. They were busy, and many to-go orders were going out, so I get it. My recommendation is call them beforehand and give them ample time before you pick up. I usually eat half a bowl of noodle soup for breakfast, so I did. AMAZING. Wow, it was worth the wait. The noodles are almost two inches thick and delicious! There isn't a ton of meat, but the noodles with the soup are top notch. I'm definitely coming back, and I'm definitely calling before. You have to try it if you love noodles!

Yelp
23. Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles was fantastic! The texture and flavor is authentic Cantonese! The pricing is really good at $10.25. I enjoyed it. Giving it 5/5 for flavors, pricing, quantity!

Yelp
Wow, amazing hand pulled noodles. Wide and chewy, super good! We actually live 3 hours away and still ate here twice in three weeks, that's how tasty our first try was the weeks ago. Doesn't matter which noodle dish you get, just get the hand pulled noodles and you should be set. We actually did try one of their pork bun, but it wasn't all that. However, 5 stars is still deserving for the noodles alone, it's honestly the best in Atlanta in my opinion!

Yelp
I heard this was the main (only?) place in Atlanta with biang biang noodles, and I had to try it out. I am very glad I did. Beef soup - a wonderfully flavored broth, with tender thin beef cuts and cilantro, bean sprouts, onion, cabbage, some sort of root vegetable and mushroom (I was very happy about the presence of mushrooms). Warning: I've heard it is one of the only non-spicy things on the menu, so if you want spicy beef soup take note; you can order pretty much any other biang biang dish and get spicy or if you your heart is set on a spicy beef noodle soup and you can pass on the biang biang, Yes Formosa is right around the corner. Scallion pancake - these were really good. While I do prefer the texture of the scallion pancakes at Dim Sum Heaven slightly because I like my scallion pancakes very chewy and see-through and not as bready, these had much less grease and were bigger and thicker, so I think I prefer them overall here by just a little bit. Pumpkin cake - these were decent. Despite being fried they were not at all greasy, and the texture was very pleasant. While I generally prefer less sweetness in my desserts than most people I know, I wish there was a *little* bit more sweetness here as the dough wasn't sweet at all and it only seemed to come from the red bean filling, which was very lightly sweetened. It still tasted good, just could have used sugar. Biang biang noodles - what can I say? Everything from the texture and chewiness, to the oil used to season, to the absolutely beautiful thickness of these noodles was phenomenal and absolutely blew me away. I've never had biang biang noodles before and expected them to taste good, but not like this! I try not to order the same thing twice at restaurants because I like to try new things, but next time I am in Jusgo I cannot imagine not ordering these noodles.

Yelp
We ordered to eat in the court half an hour ago. Girl at the register was impatient and didn't want to recommend anything when we were ordering. It's been half an hour, and they're not even close to calling our number. During this half hour however, I've had time to observe their other customers - many are waiting and many have asked how much longer for them to get their food. The girl and older woman behind the counter have been downright rude, yelling "not ready!" and refusing to provide an estimated time frame for many of us who are waiting. They seem to be the busiest in the food court. But after all this time spent waiting, I wonder if they're simply slowest at serving their patrons.

Yelp
Surprisingly authentic and good hand pulled noodles in the quite competitive food court inside the JUSGO Asian supermarket on Venture Blvd. I would highly recommend anything on their menu but focus on the noodles. I had the veggie with chili oil and the lamb cumin looked good. Skip the beef, not as good. Also, go around the other side of the food court and get some handmade soup dumplings at the place with no menu. All of the places in here seemed interesting. So cool to have several different regional Chinese cuisine all in one place. Then you can pop down to the market for some Asian cooking supplies!

Yelp
Came on a Sunday afternoon. The food court wasn't too busy. Got the spicy lamb hand ripped noodles, the lamb paomo soup, the pork burger, and a cold lotus dish. Have to say everything was pretty good. Bring cash because they charge you for processing fee.

Yelp
Their cashier has a super bad attitude. He didn't care about customers at all and all he did was playing his phone. I have to serve myself and get my food behind the counter. Noodle is not good as used to. Very bland and flavorless. I don't know what to say..... I was a loyal customer. But now, I don't think I would like to go back since they are disappointed me too much!

Yelp
The food is good. We tried some new dish that is only listed on the board but not on the regular menu. The "goat meat stew" is very tasty and perfect for winter.

Yelp
Xi'an Gourmet House is in the food court of the Jusgo market, and even though this food court is full of good food, this place is a standout. I've been looking for a place with cumin lamb hand ripped noodles since I came to Atlanta and finally found some here. It's a huge bowl, with chewy, toothsome noodles and tender, flavorful lamb. They are generous with the lamb and the vegetables as well as the noodles and overall it's very satisfying, clears your sinuses out a little, and is reasonably priced. Everything here is reasonably priced and comes out quite quickly! I will say that the predominant flavor in this dish is the hot oil, and everything outside of the lamb mostly tastes like hot oil, which can get a little overwhelming especially when you get to the bottom of the bowl, where everything is coated in hot oil. Even so, it was still really enjoyable and I am definitely going to go back to try some of the other things they have on the menu.

Yelp
Im not much of a reviewer but had to share this very dissatisfied experience. I'm a long time customer of xian house and order food on a regular basis here. Love their food but recently the original owners have sold their business to some other Chinese family. I always order to-go here but I've noticed everytime I call in, they don't pick up phone and goes to voicemail. This is happened multiple times where no one answers if you call them. So today, the wife and I went to jusco to see if they were still in business. As we walked up to the counter, yes they were open with 2 people waiting for food. So while looking at the young girl at the counter, I called them and no one picked. So I walked to the girl at the counter and asked her if you guys changed phone numbers and she said no. So I told her I've been trying to call you and she said she was busy. I deliberately called her in front of her and watched her not pick up the phone. With a snickering attitude she said you order food now, I said I don't want your food. This place has gone downhill very fast and will not come here ever again. Go ahead and try calling them, they won't pick up.

Yelp
Visited this place pre-Covid so this review is kind of all but I figured I would still post this review anyways. I was greeted when I reach the counter the customer service was really good. For my meal I got the spicy lamb And the hand pulled noodles and I would say that the hand pulled noodles don't really carry much flavor as the meat did. I also got a tea egg which was pretty good just tasted like a normal egg nothing major. I definitely would like to come back to try something else because it was pretty affordable.

Yelp
It pains me to give them a such low rating bc I used to love this restaurant! This was my go to for delicious Chinese food but not anymore. I think there has been a change of ownership but I'm not sure. They hardly pick up the phone anymore when I called to order. They used to used bone broth for soups now it's just water. Their food used to be flavorful and clean, now it's just a ton of grease and salt. I'm very disappointed. It's just sad.

Yelp
Xi'an Gourmet House is located in the food court of Jusgo. Wanted to try hand pulled noodles and heard about this place, so had to check it out with my sister and BIL. This place did not disappoint! I ordered the dry Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped noodles and my sister ordered the dry Minced Pork with Dry Soybean Paste Hand-Ripped noodles. My BIL also ordered a fried fish from a different counter. We sat at a table in the large food court and attempted to eat family style. Both noodles were delicious! The noodles were the perfect texture, not too chewy but hard enough to cut. That made sharing a little difficult, so find some plastic knives and get an extra bowl if you insist on sharing like my family does. My dish was the favorite. The lamb was tender and all the flavors worked well together. It was spicy, but not overwhelming. My sister's noodles had more of a tomato flavor. Pretty good. Our bowls were $10 each. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. Although it's self-service (you pick up your food at the counter when it's ready), the lady brought our second bowl to our table with an extra bowl and napkins. Will definitely return next time I crave hand-pulled noodles!

Yelp
This was not a planned visit. After shopping at Jusgo, I was shivering and was in desperate need for something warm. On my way out to the parking lot, I decided to get some soup to thaw. It was a little after 4pm on Saturday. = Ambiance is food court with shared tables. Fast food style where you order food and they call your number. This place is new so everything was shiny and clean. + I had beef hand pulled noodle soup. It had wide flat shape noodles like drunken noodles. They had a nice spring with slight chewiness yet smooth texture. The beef and veggies were tender but not over cooked. The broth was hearty with a Szechuan peppers in their seasoning. The tingling / numbness and fragrance were a surprise. XG offers vinegar, chili peppers and Sriracha at their counter. + The service was good and fast. The cashier was friendly and spoke English fluently. My soup came out hot in 5 minutes. = Their price is reasonable and my soup was just under $10. Cash Only under $10 and Credit over $10. + Parking is shared and was not a problem. This soup soothed and thawed me! I enjoyed the hand pulled noodles and liked them much more than those at LanZhou Ramen. I'm not a fan of Szechuan peppers but they were not over powering. I'll definitely be back to try their Liangpi cold skin noodles next time with a sweater!!
