Xi'an specialties like noodles, lamb dishes, dumplings

"Any of the handmade dumplings and the spicy cumin lamb noodles, which you can spice to your liking Popping in for quick, delicious takeout" - juli horsford, jacinta howard
"Cantonese or sichuan dishes may be more abundant in Atlanta, but the city isn’t limited to the two regional cuisines. Enter Xi’an Gourmet House in Midtown—a small but mighty venue with the same outstanding quality as their original (and very popular) Duluth location. Their biang biang hand-pulled noodle selection (specifically the dry spicy cumin lamb version) should get a golden noodle plaque or some kind of best-in-class designation. And if your eyes gravitate toward the “burger” part of their menu, don’t resist. They’re actually rou jia mo, and these meat-in-a-bun snacks make the perfect appetizer as you wait on your noodles to cool. Even though most people come here for takeout, Xi’an has free parking (with their menu code) and is a chill place to post up for lunch in the usually hectic Midtown." - candy hom
"The menu at this second location is pretty similar to the original Duluth restaurant—and not watered down for Midtown taste buds. While Xi’an is better known for their spicy cumin lamb noodle, don’t overlook the pork dumplings. They come in a hefty order of a dozen or so, and you can either get them “dry” (boiled and served with a side of dipping sauce) or in a spicy/sour noodle soup, which will clear your sinuses in a second. The dining area is small, so most people come here for takeout orders (you can get validated one-hour parking in The Mark garage). Look for the validation code on the menu board, then look for us, stuffing our faces." - candy hom

"You won't get a lot of fuss at this Midtown spot, an offshoot of the original in Duluth. You'll order at the counter and then pick up a paper plate, but what they may lack in niceties, they make up for with dialed-in cooking. Spotlighting the Xi'an region of China, the menu focuses on biang biang noodles and as well as boiled dumplings and dishes featuring plenty of cumin and other spices. Noodles are the way to go, though it’s never a bad idea to supplement with the boldly flavorful cucumber salad, and there must be dumplings, of course. Here, they are available on their own or with soup. Choose from pork and lamb and then tuck in to a baker's dozen of simply boiled treats served with a house-made dipping sauce that brings them alive." - Michelin Inspector
