"The secret has long been out about Xian’s wide biang biang noodles, made from scratch every day at the restaurant’s original U District location. But this year, Xi’an entered expansion mode, opening up a new outpost at Westlake Center Downtown, raising the hand-pulled noodles’ profile even higher. Must-try dishes include the spicy cumin lamb or simply the hot chili oil offering." - Gabe Guarente

Google
Mall food court restaurant that's not bad. Got the Beef Dry Noodles with Vegetables, and tasted fine. You order through a touchscreen display, so pretty easy to customize your order.

Small outlet inside the food court. It is not an extensive menu, but they do it well and fast. The lamb soup was very Tasty. But ask for a glass of water as it is really spicy. The only draw back, being a tourist, is that you need to order on their computer screen and the first thing you are asked if for a mobile (Cellular) number, that needs to be from the US. without this information it wouldn't allow me to continue with the order. And the queue starts behind you as you get stuck and can't progress. Thanks for the waiter inside that did the order in seconds. My request would be to add a skip button on this question, or get a staff to take the orders. Also be aware that when they close at 7pm, the Mall security comes and escort everyone out, if you finished your meal or not. Please be prepared to have a take away.

Was very good when they opened, although never as good as the original store. They were out of the cumin lamb noodles when I went. That's all I ever want. I had the tomato and egg noodles. The noodles were soggy. I'll go back to the U district, but this was my last visit at Westlake.

Google
The Lamb dry noodles are so delicious! I got a side of vinegar and side of chili oil to enhance the flavors and it was so delicious! The texture of the noodles were perfect pulled fresh noodles. My daughter also enjoyed it. The self ordering kiosk is great and very easy to know when your order is complete! Highly recommend for authentic Chinese style hand pulled noodles! Mall is nicely air-conditioned too!

Google
I tried them for the first time and had to get the spicy cumin lamb noodles. Definitely the most impressive dish I have tasted at a kiosk! Loved the subtle spiciness, chewy noodles, and the added garnish. Noodles travelled very well too after 15 minutes on the street car and made great leftovers. Will get them again.

Google
Ordered Beef Biang Noodles for $12.11 with tax. They were really tasty. Noodles were big and wide rice noodles, the best kind. Dish could have used more meat but the flavors were wonderful. Also, they need to get bigger soup spoons... Will be trying everything on the menu. Lots of seating.

Vanny

Google
Although it is in a mall food court, it has a nice modern clean seating area and vibe to it, with a small-ish but great menu selection. The portions are good, the service is quick and most importantly the food is good. 5 stars for me!

Davis Wu

Google
The pork burger lacked in both flavour and juice. The burger buns also weren't as flaky as they should've been. The noodles were okay but portions were small. The consistency of the cold noodles weren't smooth.

Yelp
Went for Lunch Food - 5/5. Noodles had the perfect thickness to provide a delectable bouncy chew. Sauce was aromatic with cumin, had just the right amount of spice to liven up the flavor, and a delicious sourness. Lamb was seasoned well, tender, and had no gamey odor. They gave plenty of lamb so each bite had a great noodle to meat ratio. Bun had a soft bite with a slight crisp from the toasted sides. It had a mild flavor with not too much oil, which paired well with the rich flavor of the lamb. The bun was perfect for dipping into the leftover sauce of the noodles and both were elevated by a helpful serving of vinegar. Service - 4/5. Everything is self-service from ordering through the kiosk, picking up the food, and getting any condiments. The staff don't really engage in conversation at all since it is designed to be self-service. I personally enjoy that kind of service style, especially for a quick lunch location. Value - 5/5. Dry biang noodles go for $14 while the lamb bun was $7.50. Food was delicious and the portion sizes were good. They really load you up on the lamb, which is highly appreciated. Excellent Shaanxi cuisine restaurant. Parking - Mall Garage/Street (Metered)

Yelp
A I like the ramen here. You must self order because they don't seem to know how to use the cash register. I recommend highly.

Linh N.

Yelp
I forgot how much I love these noodles!! I should have ordered online and picked it up but I was thinking they wouldn't be busy haha. Anyways I ran next door to get lunch and had to wait a bit but it was still pretty quick. I ordered the lamb cumin dried noodles. Noodles were perfect texture with a slight chew. Braised lamb was so yummy. Even better the next day. The staff was really nice and packed me extra chili oil without me asking for more.

Laur L.

Yelp
I know another reviewer mentioned this, but if you're a fellow NYC native and think this place is related to the Xi'an Foods in Flushing, it is not. The food is bomb as hell. The cumin lamb noodles taste exactly the way this dish is meant to taste. The wontons are also perfect and go well with the vinegar they provide on the side. The reason why I didn't give a higher rating is that I'm not sure if even inflation can justify the price point of the dishes. I also noticed that (when I went) lots of orders were getting messed up. I double checked to ensure I received the right order (which fortunately I did).

Yelp
really tasty, the broth was very flavorful and full of spices. However the noodles had a strange metallic type of aftertaste afterwards that was very subtle but definitely didn't ruin the food. self service was easy and the pickup time is really quick too. A great place for something quick and easy. Updated review: I got the lamb noodle soup and it was tasty. This time there was no metallic taste in it. The service was great as usual, quick and convenient!

Andy N.

Yelp
I LOVE hand-pulled noodles and I get extremely excited when a Xi'an restaurant turns it out in the most unexpected of spots. While there's not much to Westlake Mall itself, this spot certainly needs to be on your to-eat list while you're downtown. While I'm not sure if they make all their noodles fresh, the noodle quality was certainly hitting the spot for me. You order at the counter and receive a number, and they'll call out to you once your food is ready. I ordered their Sesame Noodles ($10), which I knew was likely their only real plant-based choice. I expected a savory noodle dish with Chinese sesame paste and chili oil, and that was exactly what I got. They even checked the back to make sure that there were no animal products used in the dish. Considering this is inside a mall, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste and would totally return here for another round of noodles.

Martin M.

Yelp
This small takeout spot inside Westlake mall was not as good as the original location near UW. The food was a bit bland and not as flavorful. The service however is fast and convenient for a quick bite to go when you're in a rush for work, however I wouldn't compare this place as the same compared to the original UW location. Everything is self-service here: busing your own tray, getting condiments and utensils. My gripe was that the wontons and soup were a bit bland compared to the other locations we had visited. I guess the place is convenient but not delicious

Ann J.

Yelp
Easy online or screen ordering with a number system. Solid portion size. No holding back on spice. A light eater can get two meals out of the dry noodles.

Drew N.

Yelp
Unbelievably slow and staff isn't that polite. Food is good tho just not worth the wait if you have anything to do

Tiffany Y.

Yelp
Really great place to get your fix of what else? Noodles! I definitely recommend communicating the level of spice you're comfortable with when you place your order. Above all, the noodles were perfectly done!

Alex T.

Yelp
pretty solid braised pork noodle soup! appreciate the timely and efficient service. staff was polite.

Dmitry K.

Yelp
The food is super great! But the packaging for soups for take away orders is highly unreliable. Likely, it was also incorrectly placed inside the bag. The soup leaked out and damaged the airbag and heating systems in a brand new car. In the result, instead of $15, it would cost at least $1,500 per meal.

Marie B.

Yelp
This brief post was for a visit back on 6/28/21 during the extreme heat wave that descended upon the Pacific Northwest. Xi'an Noodles was a terrific food court find in Westlake Center, especially since most of the retail/restaurant core was shutdown due to the pandemic and heat wave. Not even Pike Place Market was an option. Excellent bang for your buck with generous servings of both tasty noodles and dumplings, it was a satisfying meal for both me and The Homie. Helpful destination for us staying at the nearby Mayflower Park Hotel at the time.

Amy C.

Yelp
It's self service so you order on the kiosk. My noodles came out really fast. I ordered the Stewed Pork Biang Noodles Without Soup, and I wish I ordered with soup because the noodles were a little dry. The noodles were long which I was happy about!

Patrick F.

Yelp
Upon disembarking from the monorail at the Needle Tower, my attention was immediately drawn to the first establishment I encountered: a lamp shop. As a connoisseur of lamps, I possess an unwavering appreciation for all things illuminated, and therefore, I was compelled to explore the offerings within. Opting for a culinary adventure, I made the decision to indulge in the cucumber salad and lamp dumplings. Although the lamp dumplings were lovingly crafted in-house, I found the cucumber salad to be disappointingly inadequate in terms of both its minuscule size and its lack of tanginess. The ambiance of the establishment was decidedly laid-back, while the provision of customer service operated under a self-checkout system.

Pedro R.

Yelp
Overpriced food, small portions, disorganized staff & lousy service - I used their impersonal touch screen to place and pay for my order, but they somehow lost my order. I waited about 30 minutes for my order, and then, they seemed to get annoyed and disinterested when I called them on it. The cashier insisted that I had already taken my order to my table. Luckily, the screen still showed that the order wasn't even ready which made her claim that I had already taken my order even more bizarre. If it takes more than 10 minutes to get your order, make sure to check with them that they actually sent your order to the cook.

Paul E.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots. The braised beef dry noodle dish is excellent! The shrimp dumplings are also a hit.

M N.

Yelp
I ordered a couple items to go, the older man was not wearing gloves and was rubbing his eyes with his bare hands and then touching the inside of my food containers before putting the food in, I told them I wanted a refund but they refused. My order was around $20. This place should be shut down.

Andrea U.

Yelp
I was excited to X'ian noodles but it's not the same one that we loved in New York. The dumplings and lamb sounded very familiar, but it is not the chain that we loved in NYC Chinatown and Flushing. This storefront is in the big mall, food court. Tables for socially distance & the area was clean with many garbage recepticals. We ordered them dumplings and a spring roll. They took the Apple Pay and we waited for a number to be called. I resent paying $2.21 for bottled Costco water that we pay $4 for the case. We watched the couple prepare the food in a wok & frying pan in front of us. Our food was good and it was prepared similar to the meal that we expected. It was double the price of the same meal in New York City. The dumplings had the same spicy sauce and sliced cilantro on top. The spring rolls were very salty and greasy, there was no sauce for them.

Kari K.

Yelp
I can't remember what this was called but it was GOOD. It was the no soup no meat noodle with like a warm chili oil sauce. I could eat this everyday. Knew it would be good when I saw the two Mom's in the kitchen cooking. Sorry the pic is with the bowl more than half gone! Haha!

Jean P.

Yelp
It was a small food stall on the second floor in Westlake Center. I got the cumin lamb noodle with soup. It was average. Flavor was lacking and there was no numbing effect.

Tasha L.

Yelp
We ordered wonton in chicken broth, wonton in chili sauce, crab rangoons and lamb bai noodles. The lamb dish was delicious, as were the crag wangoons. The wonton were filled with greens and cilantro and the chicken broth had a large amount of cilantro in it. If you are not a fan of cilantro, I suggest skipping the wontons

Syive H.

Yelp
Dishwasher foam in my take-out soups. We try to eat it but it's awful taste, very unpleasant and waste of money on the food here.

Shirin B.

Yelp
Right in the middle of the Westlake food court, I'm literally almost always craving asian food and I decided to go with the vegetable Biang Biang noodles here. I actually enjoyed this fresh, and it tasted great. I can see myself coming here on a rainy day often. I really enjoyed the noodle texture, length and choice of veggies. I would prefer this over the Biang Biang in cap hill!

Carol M.

Yelp
Delicious, filling meal. I got the Cumin Lamb Biang Noodles which had amazing flavor mixed in with the meat, onions, peppers, parsley & shredded cabbage (I think). It had a little kick, but I could not stop stuffing my face. Every bite got me more hooked - it was very fresh. Can't wait to have it again or maybe try something new. This place is located on second level of Westlake Center across from the escalators.

Matt B.

Yelp
Ordered through doordash, received pretty hot, even though it was delivered via bike on a windy/sprinkling day. Overall I thought everything was ok. I do think things might have tasted better if everything was eaten in person/at temp. I ordered the dry hand pulled noodles with beef (no soup) and wontons in chili sauce. The spice level wasn't super hot. The flavor for the noodles was somewhat lacking, but dipping it into the chili sauce from the wontons added some flavor, but that's only a temporary solution. Perhaps if eaten with soup and at appropriate temp would be good. The hand pulled noodles were the only good part. Noodles were thick, chewy, with good length. The wontons in chili sauce were ok. Not as good as din tai Fung.

Ashley K.

Yelp
A-ok fits the bill. I haven't been to their of their other locations, and haven't tried anything else off the menu, but I'd been hearing about Xi'an Noodles for a long time and was excited to try it. If I'm comparing it to other food court food you'd expect in a mall (which this place is), it's great! The noodles have tons of flavor, and it feels much more like a home-cooked meal than something I'd find myself eating on a stool under fluorescent lights. But if I'm comparing it to other noodle places in town, it was pretty lacking. First off, I ordered it without soup, but I guess I wasn't heard correctly. Not a big deal... The broth though (while welcome on a chilly night despite my intention to order sans soup) was really really oily. There's a nice aroma of Chinese five spice, though not much cumin coming through. I went back to the self-serve bar to add more spice and cilantro because there wasn't much of that either. Fair warning though: don't eat this while wearing clothes you like. Those floppy noodles got oil all over my shirt! This might not be the case with the dry noodles, but I didn't find that there was much meat in the dish, either, so marks off for that. The noodles, as they should be, are really the star. They're toothsome and chewy, and I could probably eat my weight in them. That being said... the portion size here was surprisingly lacking. I'm a very small person and to finish my meal is pretty unheard of, but I managed to. Gimmie more noods! Service was exceptionally nice though! I might be back to try the dry noodles I'd intended on ordering.

Yelp
My family and I were visiting from Chicago. After exploring the city, we took the monorail back to our hotel. We realized our stop dropped us off on the 2nd floor of a mall and decided to walk around a bit. We were really excited when we came down the escalator and spotted Xi'an noodles as we had loved them during a trip to New York last summer. We ordered the lamb biang noodle soup. It was absolutely delicious. Who knew one of our best food finds during our trip would have been in a mall?!

Willy M.

Yelp
I had forgotten that Westlake Mall had renovated/added a food court area, so we came by to have lunch. It's on the 2nd level. Got there about 11:30am on a weekday, not sure exactly where the line starts but it's kind of a free for all when ordering,at least when I came by, you just walk up and order. It's kind of a cluster from people waiting to order and waiting to get their food. Menu is pretty simple from noodles with soup, no soup, dumplings, cold noodles, "burger" and some other smaller items. I decided to get the popular no soup noodle dish "Cumin Lamb Biang Noodles", thick cut noodles, seemed to be freshly made, but the temperature of the noodles were on the warm side. The cumin lamb was quite flavorful with the cumin flavor and some spice, cooked with some shredded cabbage. They put a heavy load of chili oil in your bowl, average to smaller portion (at least to me), about $10. Overall this was just ok. We also got the "Mount Q Pork Noodles", similar no soup noodle dish with some more spice, minced pork with some cooked cabbage, heavy load of chili oil as well. The noodles were served barely lukewarm, we actually thought this was a cold noodle dish for a sec but it wasn't. The spice was good, we love thick cut noodles so that was the good part, unfortunately the temperature of the noodles made the dish just ok. We also got their crispy spring rolls, it was nicely fried up and actually hot out of the fryer, nothing special about it in my book. There's a sauce bar to hit up if you want to be extra saucy. I rarely drink soda pop or can finish a canned drink, I don't think they offer water cups because we both ordered that and they didn't provide that. Other people were in the same boat. I wasn't about to go back up in that cluster of people to ask about a water cup situation. There's a water fountain around the corner, problem solved. It definitely got busier after 12 noon, it's food court setting, so just pick a table wherever and they will call your receipt/ticket number when your food is ready. They have a microphone like at the bingo hall, so pay attention. It's a maybe for me to come back.

Kat B.

Yelp
I wish this noodle place is in every corner of where I am. Don't let the food court atmosphere fool you! Their noodles are delicious. I ordered the beef biang noodles and the lamb burger. Both meats were savory and tasty. I love how the chili spice doesn't only add heat, but actually adds flavor. I can't wait to try all the other noodle dishes! It's fast, affordable, and sooo delicious. It's win-win for me.

Melody L.

Yelp
Good for mall food! I got the lamb biang noodles (N2) not spicy. Not the best I've tasted but very good for the location, price and service! Noodles were perfect al dente and they tasted Fantastic! I have no clue if they are homemade but it taste like it. I was able to not get it spicy and add my own spice in at the seasoning bar to the side. Tasted very much like lamb, it's greasy (a little too greasy) but I'm used to that being asian. A good go if you need fast food. I literally got my food in 1 minute piping hot!

Alice X.

Yelp
This place is good, like REALLY good. I've never been to Xi'an, China but I know people who have and they said their noodles reminds them of the noodles they had at Xi'an, China. That means this place is pretty authentic! I believe the Westlake location is an extension of their restaurant location at U-Dub. The one at the U-Dub district is an actual restaurant unlike the Westlake location where it's like a food court. Definitely order their signature dish, their cumin lamb biang noodles. I prefer to order it with no soup. The spices and fixings they use in their noodles are so flavorful and delicious. Their pork wontons in chili sauce and lamb burger are must get items too! Also, get their cold noodles. It's marked as a vegetarian dish and its pretty flavorful. I like how they have a condiments section on the left side of their counter. You can get extra cilantro, garlic, chili sauce for your food. I'll definitely be a repeat costumer here! This place gets pretty packed during lunch time, but that's to be expected! It's lunch time and its a new and a popular spot for lunch. PRO-TIP: Don't wear a white shirt while eating here. You might accidently get sauce on your shirt! BEWARE: Their cash registers and receipts indicate they use the CLOVER app but apparently they don't! I inquired about why I wasn't given a CLOVER code receipt and the cashier said she doesn't know what I'm talking about.

Emi K.

Yelp
Great location! I like coming here before heading to the airport! I also stop by the macha place upstairs. For such a not so busy place I'm surprised I have to wait as long as I do to get my food. Perhaps they can develop a better supply chain. Ok the food is really good! I think they make their own noodles. If so, I'd suggest they make it half the width. It's so hard to get with the chopsticks. The flavor is great though! I also love their sauce station! It has some really great options.

Alexandra B.

Yelp
My favorite Asian noodle spot in Seattle! I always get the hot oil noodles. This is the ultimate comfort food.

Andrew C.

Yelp
As others have said, don't be turned off by the food court feel. This place is delicious and legit. What I got: Lamb biang biang noodles -- handpulled noodles, deliciously tender lamb, with some light veggies. ~$11 If you've been to Xi'an famous foods in New York, then this place isn't as flavorful. Don't get me wrong, this place is still solid and I would come here over and over, but they leave the spicing up to you. Definitely a solid choice if you're craving Asian food and are in the area! Keep in mind it's on the second floor of the Westlake center.

Ajay K.

Yelp
This awesome spot from the U District is now downtown and I couldn't be more excited! The cumin lamb noodles are awesome - I would say even better than Xi'an famous foods in NYC. Minus one star because the mall closes early (8pm) and we were asked to leave mid way through our meal. Wish it was in a more accessible location where we could sit down for dinner and not have to rush.

Lee M.

Yelp
First off, I love that is a female owned business. I went to the restaurant's website and read the "About" section and appreciate her story and determination. I believe I also interacted with the owner who was just lovely; friendly and accommodating. Food wise, delicious. Although in a mall food court, you didn't get your plate in a matter of minutes. They took their time to prepare each dish. We got the pork dumplings, which were great, and the Xi'an Mt. Qi pork Biang noodle dish which was delicious. I believe they were homemade noodles. Definitely recommend these dishes and this business.

Kevin N.

Yelp
I'm a frequent at the U District location, but I'm glad there's this location that opened up for whenever I'm downtown. Located on the second level of Westlake Center, this spot is serving up an even more casual version of the hand-pulled noodles that the other locations are known for. I came here with some coworkers on our Friday lunch break, and it was busy to say the least. I ordered the Mount Q Pork Noodles and Spicy Wontons, which totaled to a little less than $20 - a little pricier than the other locations. I got my food within $10 minutes of waiting, but my coworker had to wait around 20 mins for his wontons, which is too long for a fast-casual place like this. The noodles were just like the ones I get from the U District location - nice and chewy, tons of flavor, tolerable spice level. The wontons though, felt very watered down in the chili soup? I was expecting more of a chili oil-based sauce, but seems like I got a wontons in a watered-down chili soup instead. There are a bunch of tables for you to dine at immediately in front of the restaurant, along with a few more by Caliburger next door. Be aware that it'll get pretty packed during the lunch rush. Overall, food was decent, just a bit pricey. And the wait times are little too long, but since this place just opened, I think they're still ironing out these kinks to operate efficiently. I still prefer going to the U District location, but if I'm ever downtown and am craving hand-pulled noodles, this will do the job. Update: tried the Beef Biang noodles without soup and springrolls. Noodles were good, a little spicey. Springrolls were a little overpriced ($6 for 3), not worth in my opinion.

Katherine L.

Yelp
Ordered takeout here again cuz I'm craving noodles. Food was still as good as I remembered and the portions seemed slightly bigger. I'm pregnant right now and I can EAT- and I still couldn't finish my noodles this time (tho I did eat half of the dumpling order). Also the boiled dumplings are really good- $10 for 10. Super juicy and tastes homemade- I think really reasonable for the quality and taste better than dough zone (and cheaper!) Increased my review to five star solely bc the dumplings are that good! Again- this is a solid spot if you're in the neighborhood and want some good noodles/ dumplings

Dione L.

Yelp
FINALLY real chinese food (besides din tai fung) that's located in downtown. I've been to the other location several times and i keep coming back because 1) THE noodles are soft, long, perfect texture and amazing 2) The broth is to die for- perfect amount of spice/ heat/ not too oily 3) TENDER BEEF I like that this spot is quick next to all the good shopping spots. They also have a DIY bar to add more toppings (ex: cilantro, chili, peanut sauce, ginger, etc) Food was quick and service was great. More fast food vibe compared to the restaurant obviously but im not complaining. I like the grab your noodle to go idea.

Tony J.

Yelp
One of the only good things about having to occasionally physically come into the office is that I get to eat here. I always get the Lamb Biang Noodles with Soup (NS2 on their menu). It is by far my favorite soup. Spicy, but not too much, lots of lamb, and those wonderful hand-ripped noodles are exactly what I want to eat. I wish they'd open a location in Federal Way.

Tammy K.

Yelp
Good food, fast service and friendly staff. Menu can be a bit confusing so glad they have photos too!

Erica Z.

Yelp
Very authentic noodles. I've tried a few and was pleased by everything I ordered. But I didn't feel compelled to leave a review until I had the vegetable biang noodles. It was actually so amazing especially for a vegetarian dish. The noodles/vegetables were so flavorful but very light/non-greasy at the same time. Food came out pretty quickly each time and the prices are reasonable

Angela T.

Yelp
Rice noodles in chicken broth was really bland. So if that's what you're looking for, this is your spot. I didn't order any other dishes, so can't say much aside from my experience with the dish that I did get. I had to put 4 tablespoons of chili oil just to add some flavor.

Mandy D.

Yelp
Portions are really small for the prices, flavors are also lacking, not worth trying this place.

Zhangtongxin Kitty Y.

Yelp
This is DEFINITELY not as good as what we expected. The soul of the hot oil spread noodles is the pepper. It doesn't really have the pepper scent , which makes the hot oil spread noodles lose its soul. The lamb Pao Mo, or pita bread soaked in lamb soup is way too plain. The cold noodles is alright, but the pepper still drags the score down. Anyway, we didn't finish every dish we ordered. Perhaps it looks good, but, in my opinion, doesn't taste as good as it looks.

Jason P.

Yelp
I go to Asia alot and always marvel at the options just from the food court, Seattle is no where near that but the options are getting better and Xian is a good new addition. In the new food court in Westlake center, it's pretty easy location to get for most downtown worker. There are a lot of tables in the food court so seating isn't a issue. There is a pretty limited menu only a few types of noodles and some other appetizers. It did take a bit for them to get the food out especially for fast food but it just opened so it can be improved. Got the the biang biang noodles with pork burger. The noodles was good with great texture and the broth was flavorful though though it didn't have alot of meat. The burger wasn't as good, not alot of meat and the bread was too hard. There was even a sauce bar that had a lot of the traditional items.

New Y.

Yelp
For context - I am an avid patron of Xi'an Famous Foods in NYC, so mostly comparing to their cumin lamb noodles. The ones here are ok at best; hardly any spice, noodles on the gummy side, and not much lamb in the dish. However, if I try to remove the comparison with NYC, these noodles are fine - the taste is fine, texture ok, portion size ok; just not something I'm dying to go back for.

Anne D.

Yelp
If you don't mind crowds then come at noon and watch the craziness unfold. Don't expect Din Tai Fung or Dough Zone service. It's equivalent to Dim Sum King in Chinatown. This is a no-frills noodle shop perfect for students and shoppers on the go. I caught a bus up to Westlake Mall. You can also take the light rail since Westlake Station is fairly easy to get to. I had difficulty navigating my way to Xi'an Noodles since I came from the mall's south entrance. The escalators were out of service. If you don't have mobility constraints then enter through the west side of the mall on 4th Ave near Wells Fargo and walk up the stairs otherwise you'll be using an elevator that's slow as ... I spent about 25 minutes total time. The demand is too high right now. It's a small open kitchen and they can only do so much in limited space grinding out orders. Line up on the right. Pick up on the left where people have their receipt in hand. They have a number queue LED board above the register in case you can't hear them yell your receipt number. I brought my food back to work and shared the Pork and Shrimp Dumplings, Rice Noodles in Chicken Broth and Spring Rolls with some co-workers. The flavors were mild. I didn't think I needed condiments but I highly recommend it if you're taking your food to go. Their condiments bar is set up like a Mexican Salsa Bar or a Menchie's Froyo Bar allowing you to customize your meal. Know your limits. Like another reviewer said, they don't provide soup spoons. It's weird they don't have this important utensil like other noodle and soup shops in Chinatown. The noodles are long. Have a knife handy to cut them otherwise attempt to do so with chopsticks.
