I managed to try the spice bag on a not so busy day! Along with the spice bag, I tried the bao buns with stewed beef and the sweet potatoes noodles with chicken. It all smelled amazing. I took it for takeaway. I recommend eating there or rather sooner. By the time I got home the buns were soggy, spice bag a bit stale and noodles hardened.

The spice bag is TO DIE FOR! If you’re in Dublin for a city break or you live nearby and yet haven’t indulged, you should! It’s not far from the high street of shops and the menu is fairly cheap. If you’re going around lunch time the place will most likely be bustling but it’s worth the short wait. The staff are very kind and ensure that you’ve had a positive experience! Would recommend to all.

Visited Xian Street Food in Dublin and had a really good experience! Tried the Spice Bag, Fried Rice, Noodles, and a few other dishes — everything was tasty, fresh, and came out nice and hot. The Spice Bag especially hit the spot — crispy chicken, plenty of flavour, and just the right amount of heat. What I really liked is that it’s a great value for money — generous portions, quick service, and plenty of tasty options that don’t break the bank. The place has a casual, relaxed vibe, perfect for a quick meal or a casual hangout with friends. Overall, a solid spot for good Chinese street food at budget-friendly prices. Definitely worth a visit if you’re around the city and craving something tasty and satisfying!

We tried the spicy vegetarian fried rice, spicy shrimp chilli, and the chicken spice bag, and every dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better. A fantastic spot for bold, delicious flavors; highly recommended, especially if you’re winding down from a night in the pubs and want a quick, satisfying bite.

Tried the Xi'an Famous Spice Bag at Xian Street Food after seeing it all over social media — and it definitely lived up to the hype! We were lucky to grab a seat because the place was packed. The shredded chicken and chips were perfectly crispy, packed with flavour, and had just the right level of heat. I would’ve liked a bit more onion and pepper, but it still hit the spot. Loved that they had plenty of condiments on the table like chilli oil and sriracha sauce to spice it up even more. The portion was generous — easily enough for two people to share as a snack — and very reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu… though I’ll just end up getting the spice bag again!

The famous spice bag was amazing but was not a huge fan of the other dishes as I felt they lacked flavour in comparison (as did my partner). Could do with more inside seating as it gets really busy and packed. However, staff can’t be faulted and service is rapid.

Very crowded but it makes sense as it was post Christmas and many other places closed early or weren't open in the later part of the evening. A lot of crowd so opted for takeaway although we initially planned to sit in. Ordered vegetarian mapo tofu and asked for extra spice, which they delivered superbly! Tasted very good too, with the requested amount of numbingness from the sichuan peppercorns. However, it was very oily,a lot more oilier than most mapo tofus I had and I had to drain out a good chunk of the oil. The box was packed to the brim (took the pic after I started eating) and the packaging is expertly sealed as there was no oil spillage when I was taking it home. Would gladly come back and try other dishes they have next time!

I only went here to try the Spice Bag as my kids told me I had to have it as it's a trending thing on social media. I opted to have the curry sauce side which was a good recommendation from the server. It was actually really nice. Place was busy, but worked efficiently. I managed to get 1 seat inside. Try the famous Spice Bag if you are around the area as its tasty and good value.

I had seen this place on Yelp and other Google reviews so I was extra extra sure I wanted to eat here after my colleague and host asked if I wanted to eat there! It was a Wednesday night around 8pm and totally packed. We managed to snag some tables while we waited and even though the food took forever to arrive, it was super good! we ordered 1. Xi'an biang siang noodles with soup, chicken, and qihan sauce 2. famous spice bag My colleague ordered the spice bag and the biang biang noodles with dandan sauce. Everything was super good and the chicken and fries in the spice bag was so addictive. I shared with 4 people and we couldn't stop eating it. We also heard about 80% of people other the spice bag too so that is definitely something to try if you like fried foods. It was basically Chinese mala spices with fries and chicken fingers. SOOO good in my opinion...and probably the ultimate drunchies food. Definitely recommended!

Saw many things about this place, particularly the spice bags, so had to give it a try. It was absolutely packed at 8 pm on a Monday, seemed to be mostly students, but also so many delivery service drivers waiting for orders. The space is tiny and there are really not many tables/chairs. There are a lot of staff working in the back. Food is relatively affordable, especially compared to surrounding options- combos are €12-13. As far as the food, it's not exactly authentic, but it tastes decent. The "burger" (肉夹馍) is definitely more of a Chinese pancake bun, kind of greasy, and it's filled with peppers and other veggies. Taste is ok. The Liang pi was also decent, again, not exactly authentic but not bad flavor. The spice bag is interesting, it reminds me of 辣子鸡 with a lot of fries/chips, but not as spicy. The curry sauce is a nice addition. My main complaint is the wait- placed the order as take away and waited 45 minutes!! Kind of insane and that made it not really worth it for me.

Looking for something right of the street that has a little kick to it? Stop for a spice bag or some noodles. This place was so busy but we actually found a seat surprisingly and got served in a decent time. The spice bags are a must here with the curry sauce. The soup dumplings are also good but maybe not a good to every time. Yes this place is popular and yes it may be basic but it's also delicious. The guys working were great and overall love the vibes! Outdoor seating is also available

My favorite food in Dublin to date is a proper spice bag! Lol. My friends made fun of me because it's basically Chinese food, I give them credit that it's Irish-Chinese food. Background: I have been drooling about trying this place after years of watching their social media videos. Dubbed one of the best spice bag spots in Dublin, I was not going to miss it this time around. GPS helped me find this spot right away. It's definitely in the heart of downtown and was about a 10 minute walk (or less) from Grafton street where I was staying. The red banner could be seen a mile away and I eagerly approached. I like the setup of this spot. You can dine in on their small covered front patio or inside. It's definitely got the best divey feel. Or if you are getting takeaway like I did, you just walk to the back and order at the counter. The menu is large and everything looked delicious. I wish I could have ordered one of everything TBH. I ordered a classic spice bag combo. The combo comes with the spice bag, a side of sauce, and a drink. I got the curry sauce (trust me it's a must) and a water bottle, because duh health. The staff were efficient. They gave me a receipt with a number and had me wait in front of the restaurant. As popular as this spot is my bag was ready in about seven minutes. A proper spice bag is chips, fried chicken bites tossed in chili oil and light grilled veg (onions and such). You dip every bite in the sauce (again go with the curry sauce). It's literally one of my top 5 foods of all time! This dish was 100/100! I love how crispy and hot the chicken and chips were. The chili oil was mild enough but gave you a nice little kick. The curry sauce just brings it all together. If you are in Dublin just trust me on this and get a spice bag. Also the best part is this combo meal was about $13. I'd love to Ireland to have this dish at my fingertips that's for sure.

Second time coming back to this store when I visited Dublin and need comfort food after shopping. Popular spot for good noodles and other western Chinese dishes. Staffs are nice and patient and explained the difference in noodles and spicy level. They open until midnight! Good for after temple bar drinks as well!

A fun way to try our first spice bag. We'd seen this place on TikTok and had to give it a try before we left Ireland. It was absolutely packed on a Saturday with a wide ranges of ages, some getting ready to go out and some getting ready to end their day. We ordered at the counter, which was a little difficult to navigate with all the noise but we got there. We were lucky to find a table in the covered outdoor area out front while we waited for our food. There were probably 20 delivery people waiting for take out orders out front and food was coming out in almost a constant flow. It was almost a 30 minute wait for food, but it was a fun and tasty dish to try in the end! Filled with flavor, crispy chicken and fries, what's not to like? Not sure Id do that wait all the time, especially if you were looking for a quick bite after a night of drinking, but it was certainly a fun adventure!

It's 5 stars for fast food! And it's 2-3 stars for authentic food. I tried the spice box, which is considered fast food, that is really nice. Especially for late night options, since this place is open late. Till 2 am I believe. Then I tried the pulled noodles for a more authentic flavor, I chose dry with with sesame spicy sauce. Not bad, I would probably order it again. (€16.8) with shrimp I also tried the veggie and tofu sautéed dumplings, with chilli oil, (€9.9) extremely bland, not worth it. Wil never get any dumplings here again In summary, for late night fast food, this place is a good option, but if you are trying to enjoy a nice meal out, this place isn't for you

Boyfriend's review: 3 stars Mine: 4 stars We came specifically to try Ireland's infamous spice bag. Nothing Chinese about it but I loved it! Great bar/drunk food with a twist. The only thing was that the chicken was more batter than chicken, but with the portion size for the price I didn't mind. Get the curry to dip in (again, NOTHING Chinese about the spice bag, so don't order it expecting anything authentic. But it was good nonetheless)!

We were wanting some late night food after a show and this was the only place open that wasn't a kebab shop or a pub. The place was bustling with people (quite the younger crowd that night). Pro-tip: Put on your "non-authentic" tastebuds and the food will be decent--it's borderline too savory and a little too oily, but as I said, I can't complain when everywhere else is closed or closing.

I'm standing here, the night before my flight home, in a cramped little corner on Anne Street in Dublin with about a thousand other people wolfing down my Spice Bag (btw, that's not a euphemism for anything). Now, I don't like to eat late and I wasn't even that hungry but something about Xian called to me. Maybe it was the line or the solid reviews but DAMN! It's basically a bag of chips and breaded chicken tenders (mild to spicy) with your choice of sauce (satay, sweet & sour, etc.) with seasoning and onion. But it's also the perfect bag of yummy if you've been out drinking all night. And I'm sure this is why they're open until 2 a.m. This is why I love Europe. You just can't get tasty like this in the States. The bag is about 15 euro but you get ALOT in that bag. Delicious!

Solid solid place to try an infamous Irish spice bag . This place is located near a really big outdoor shopping street that is super convenient for those who want to get some holiday shopping / souvenir shopping in . Because I was on a budget I only tried their spice bag but would opt to try one of their noodle dishes next time ( like the Singaporean noodles ) as most patrons seemed to be ordering noodle dishes and they all looked and smelled really good . As for what I personally ordered : The chicken and chips were a little dry hence why some opt for a dipping sauce to remedy the minor issue but overall I thought it was super tasty ( the spice mixture kind of reminded me of a less sweet and smoky version of the seasoning the use for lays BBQ chips w / a touch of anise/Chinese 5 star spice ) . The spice was also super filling and for under €10 is a good deal in this expensive city . Highly recommend!

I ordered the biang biang noodle with pork. The sauce/ broth (not a noodle soup) was spicy but delicious. I didn't know if I could handle the spiciness but actually finished the plate! Pork was tender and given a good amount. The restaurant was very cute had around four tables of four seats inside and outside (outside seats also have a roof)

Just stopped for a "snack" while shopping and ended up eating more. Everything looked good here. Its definitely a popular spot and cozy with not a lot of seating unless you share. The counter person was hilarious and made my day! I ordered dumplings and the famous spice bag, delicious. There's definitely a reason it's busy. I would eat here everyday if I could.

Two words: spice bag. That's all you need to know, guys. You'll walk up to the counter, order a spice bag and walk away. They really do potatoes and chicken strips right here. You get a perfectly airy breading with delectable sichuan spices. Yes, this is anglicized chinese at its best.

Not super authentic--ordered the hand cut noodles and it could have used more flavor and spice. Good consistency and generous portions though!

Little Asian spot in temple bar with lots of passerbyers and small seating area. Tried the #3 Chicken Roujiamo Burger (€7) and it was different than I expected. Extremely crispy and crunchy exterior without any doughy chew I was looking for and filled with plain chicken and 2 pieces of radish. Would've liked more pickled radish or sauce and a more chewy bun rather than all crunch. (6/10)

We wanted to try a spice bag during our time in Dublin, so we found Xi'an Street Food nearby. The place was super busy and was doing a strong takeaway business, and the food everyone was eating looked delicious. The spice bag was very good, but the other dishes we ordered were just okay. I had asked for a mild soy sauce base with my noodles, and it came with a coconut spicy sauce instead... couldn't check until I got home because we picked it up as takeaway.

Came out of the pub to find this delightful restaurant open late night! It was fantastic, hot food delivered quickly. I had the chicken fried rice, the chicken balls. Would recommend for a fast meal. Very tasty!

I was highly skeptical of good Chinese food in Ireland since I didn't know too much about the Chinese population here but boy am I surprised at how good the food is here! Run don't walk to come here. Portion sizes are generous, it's open till midnight, flavors are on point, and it has a huge extensive menu. The food is extremely affordable for what you get I am still in shock.

Hidden Gem, we saw everyone that walking around with their Bowles and decided to track it down. Happy we did! I made the mistake of getting it to go so my fries came in a bag that made it weird to eat because some ingredients were at the bottom. Amazing flavors, great spice, warmed our belly's on a cold day.

I miss this food so much. Delicious spice bags, great service and the space is super inviting. Cant wait to go back!

This little restaurant mainly caters to young folks and aims to be the best quick eat in town! The Chinese food is so delicious we went twice a. Try their chicken fried balls- simply amazing! Their bao buns are also scrumptious with moist chicken and other meats! Take a moment and stop by- stay or take out!!

Absolutely amazing! This is authentic Asian food in Dublin. I had the Dan Dan noodles med spicy and was awesome! If I had more time I would make my second trip there for dinner! Excellent to say the least.

This place is unbelievable. I get that Dublin is a decent sized city, but I was not expecting this level of authentic Chinese food. Jianbing, those shredded potato things I can't resist, amazing noodles...the list goes on. They have everything you could want. The Biang Biang noodles are their specialty. I recommend getting them with the duck. We also did a jianbing with duck, the shredded potatoes, and then two chicken dishes. I definitely overordered and had enough for at least 5-6 people. I have never been so upset that my hotel didn't have a fridge....I just kept seeing things off the menu I needed. If I had to do it again, I would get the Biang Biang noodles, a chicken dish, and maybe the shredded potatoes if I was really hungry. That would fill two people way up and would cost you around 20 euros. Unbelievable meal and next time I'm in Dublin I will eat here multiple times.

the place was so busy and i know they have delicious other meals because my friend loved her udon noodles, but the pan seared veg & tofu dumplings were just tofu and no vegetables which was really not delicious. i want to come back to try another dish though because everything else looked so good

For a city that many considered to be pricey for food, I found this place to be priced fairly reasonable for what you get and one of the few places open with food after 9pm. I came here twice during my visit and really enjoyed the bang bang noodles especially with the cold winter evenings. The noodle soup had the right amount of heat and flavoring was on point.

Great value in the centre of town. Stopped by and started with spare ribs. Meaty ribs and a good size portion. Then had the duck with Szechuan sauce, it was great. Much more duck than I expected, just the right heat level. Good quick meal.

Solid 4.5 stars. We were visiting Dublin and had a hankering for some Asian food, this spot was perfectly located and satisfied our craving after a long flight. We ordered the biang biang noodles with beef, pork roujiamo, stir fried cabbage, and kung pao chicken. The noodles and roujiamo were fantastic--delicious, flavorful, and great portions. The cabbage was solid too, though I wouldn't order the kung pao chicken again. Too many peanuts, and more sweet than spicy. The service was solid even though there were quite a few people there and people waiting on pickup orders. Both indoor and outdoor seating.

Love the spice bag and curry sauce with the chips. So tasty. Also got biang biang noodles with soup. The fried rice is delicious. Everything is fabulous. Don't skip this place in Dublin.

order from here lastnight and it took 2 hours to get to my house which is only 10 minutes from there restaurant , I finally got in and it was cold bleeding rotten food!

The food was so incredibly mid and was way over priced. I sat there for 45 minutes waiting for fucking dimplings. I was the first person in the restaurant that ordered and everyone else got their food within 5 minutes of ordering. I got one simple order of dumplings and it took 45 MINUTES TO GET. The lady taking orders at the frony was the most rude and unfriendly person I have ever met. The lady running the food was very nice but other than her everyone was very short and seemed annoyed at the fact I asked when my food would be ready when I was waiting for 45 minutes.

Liked this place pretty well, and will come back. Probably for takeaway since it's a tiny dining in place that gets very crowded. Wonderful hand pulled noodles. Was not very spicy despite the title (I got biang biang noodles). Some issues with my order and staff responses, but overall nice place and nice people. Love the sturdier house chopsticks for the large noodle, and the Chile sauce was just spicy enough to give you that good burn, but not so spicy it inhibited eating. One of the better meals I've had in Dublin over the years, but fairly pricy still considering the adverts for cheap eats.

Discussing food honestly, I've eaten all over the world. Shame to say this place is almost the worst . Avoid and get your mcnuggets instead you'll be a happier customer. I suspect the place was once chinese owned but has been taken over in very recent times and run into the ground

Wonton Noodles Soup with Chicken very good. Great quality and care for the meals. Taste good and after Bangkok96 for year and dwindling quality, it is nice to have a new kid on the block.

I'm a San Franciscan euro-American who has been to...Hong Kong, so I'm no expert in "real" Xian...but this is a tasty version of this food! I had Ma Po Tofu and the Biang biang noodles. It's different from the 'xian' food I've had but not in a bad way! Less 'pure' perhaps? People should stop ordering the stupid potatoes! I'm sure sure they're good, but try the oily salty junk food of another culture since you are here! Get the biang biang extra spicy! You won't be sorry!

what a wonderful find just off Grafton street. this was a wonderful and tasty dish of handmade noodles which you can see being prepared in the kitchen. Its a popular place and very reasonably priced too. Try it. I doubt you will be disappointed.

If you want authentic Chinese food this is the place to go. Quaint with fast service, shared tables all add to the atmosphere. We will return. Excellent!

Staffs were great but food was a bit not tasty considered to Asian standard although the size was hug. We ordered 3 main courses and 1 starter to share for 3 people but could not finish at all.

I brought my younger sibling here when she came to visit me on my work break. when you walk in you have to place your order at the front desk before being assigned a table upstairs to dine. off the jump we were greeted poorly by the lady on the front desk and then accosted by another member of staff that did not believe we had already ordered. the wait for our sweet potato chips and chicken potsticker dumplings was not to long, however we were hugely mortified when we discover we had been served pork dumplings instead, as two Muslim women. after bringing this to the attention of a member staff her lack of interest in the gravity of the situation was very off putting and disappointing. the seriousness of the fact that we had unknowingly ingested pork was okay entirely lost in her, we received no apology at all in the least. the replacement portion of our dumpling were incomplete. the large portion comes with 12 and we only got 8, even tho we only ate one each. extremely disappointed in this establishment, their lack of regard for their customers and general poor customer service

In the depths of Dublin winter, surrounded by a plethora of brown, dull, and tasteless foods Xi'an Street Food is a shining beacon of hope. It promises tasty noodles, a warm cozy shop front, and plenty of Instagrammable food pics. Just, please, don't order the spice bag. Vibes: I was instantly charmed by this place. It's simple, casual, interior and open-plan kitchen centers the experience on the food. It was clean, modern, bright, and trendy and a very accessible foray into Shaanxi cuisine. That being said, most of the other diners already knew their way around a pair of chopsticks- I took this as a good sign. There were girlfriends out on shopping trips together snapping pics of their colorful soup bowls and little kids in their strollers being fed noodles by their mums and dads. If Chinese culture has a word for Hygge this would be it. Experience: Perched at the counter I could glimpse the chefs hand-stretching and pulling noodles and tending to pans of spicy shimmering liquids, which was a special treat. The one downside I have to report (and the main reason this restaurant receives a 4 star instead of a 5) is that I waited over 20 minutes for my food. It wasn't very crowded but they seemed to have a steady stream of Deliveroo bikers fetching take-out from the kitchen. Fortunately, it was well worth the wait. Taste: Three words: Home. Made. Noodles. There's something about biting into a pile of these that makes you wonder why anyone even bothers with the ones that come out of a box. It is rumored that the Chinese taught the Italians how to make noodles, and if that's true then they learned from the true masters who've been making and eating noodles for approx. 4,000 years. I ordered the classic Xi'an Biang Biang noodles with beef and it did not disappoint. It was a colorful bowl of thickly ribboned noodles (like a pappardelle) with a few small, very tender, cubes of beef. The sauce is a chili-based oil with finely chopped veg. like green bean, carrot, and pickled cabbage that added little bursts of crisp texture and flavor to complement the noodles. I ordered mine medium spicy, but to be honest it didn't have that much kick, so if you like some spice in life ask for it! I also noticed a lot of diners ordering the Roujiamo and they seemed to really be enjoying them. Roujiamo is classic street food fare- sandwich buns filled with chopped spicy meat. $$: Almost all the dishes here are priced at 10 Euro, with side orders of noodles, rice, or veg. at 5 Euro. Most of the groups ordered multiple dishes to share amongst themselves. However, the dish I ordered was more than enough for one. Solo Diners: I am happy to report Xi'an Street Food is solo diner friendly! When you order you have the option for take-out or dining in. There are also counters available for single diners so it's not awkward if you fancy a quick bite on your own.You can even tap into a certain burger joint's wifi from across the street if you need some entertainment while you wait.

Decently priced. Definitely true Chinese food. I was not prepared for the strength of the 5 spice seasoning. Loved the homemade wide noodles. I never have had that option in the USA. This Chinese food was a completely different dining experience. I enjoyed it.
