Xian Sushi & Noodle Review - Mueller - Austin - The Infatuation

"At Xian Sushi and Noodle, the name of the game is, well, sushi and noodles. And they do both very well. The noodles here are all hand-pulled—a very entertaining sight to see when you walk in the door—and come in six varying thicknesses on a scale from “vermicelli” to “triangle.” And if you think that’s a lot of options, just wait until you see the different preparations. There’s red-braised beef noodles, shoyu ramen, tom yum chicken noodle soup, and more. The best part? There’s no bad choice, though the red braised beef noodles and the beef hand-pulled noodle soups are especially good. They have a few locations in the Austin area, including Mueller, The Domain, Round Rock, and San Marcos. " - Nicolai McCrary

Our first time here and it was such a fantastic experience. Our waitress Lisa was great. Very knowledgeable and efficient. We had the chili wontons, soup dumplings, Philadelphia roll, stir fry noodles with beef, and the red braised beef noodle soup. Everything was fantastic. Their handmade noodles were delicious!

YALL DONT UNDERSTAND. This is the BEST sushi/noodle place I have ever gone to. I’m so picky when it come to eating out. From the friendly service to the delicious food, I’m amazed. This is my husband and I’s favorite spot. The food is reasonably priced. The Angry Crab and Dan Dan noodles are so amazing. We always get a bottle of Pinot Grigio to pair with it and it’s just an amazing place. The only thing, I wish the inside looked a bit more upperclass… I think this is ONLY because I believe it could be THAT. My husband and I sat in front of a bunch of empty coke bottles and it just wasn’t very pleasing to look at, definitely took away from the high class of this place. But really that’s so small for what we experienced all around. They also have a deal on Uber Eats that’s awesome!!! big fan.

Google
This place is ridiculously delicious, and crazy affordable at the same time! Literally everything on the menu is prepared perfectly by the chefs, and the servers are phenomenal. Try it, it's worth it. ❤️

Google
Underrated Gem in San Marcos! I've been dining at Xian Sushi and Noodle since Fall 2021, and I can't believe this place isn't more popular. A coworker first introduced me to this restaurant, and I still remember the first time I tried their Spicy Lobster Dumplings—an absolute must-try if you're feeling adventurous! Everything here tastes fresh and made in-house, from their sushi to their made-to-order noodles. My spouse and I have sampled almost everything on the menu, and we’ve never had a single complaint. The sushi is always fresh, the noodles are flavorful and perfectly cooked, and every dish is seasoned just right. Honestly, I don’t understand how anyone could find something to criticize. Today, I enjoyed the Clear Beef Noodle Soup and Tom Yam Soup with Chicken, paired with their refreshing Jasmine Green Tea—everything was incredible! The broths were rich and flavorful, and the noodles in the beef soup were tender and perfectly cooked. The Tom Yam soup had just the right amount of spice and tanginess, making it a comforting yet bold dish. Whenever family comes to visit, I make sure to bring them here, and it’s always a hit. On busier days during the semester, I love grabbing takeout—Gyoza and Sesame Balls are my go-to comfort foods. Two orders of gyoza are enough to fill me up, and the sesame ball is the perfect sweet treat to lift my mood. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, Xian Sushi and Noodle is a place you can count on for fresh, delicious food every time. Highly recommend!

Google
We ordered a few dishes this evening. Everything we ordered was above average and quite delicious. Certainly the best Chinese food that I've had in the area so far.

Google
Do you want "going out to eat" to feel worth it again? Come to Xian Noodles & Sushi in San Marcos. These folks get it — you want killer flavor, good vibes, and service that doesn’t suck. The food? DELICIOUS. Freshness practically leaps off the plate. You’re already dropping $50–60 on mid-tier food at boring spots. Skip the regret. Eat here. Leave happy.

Yelp
Liam was a great server, did everything we asked with a smile and was attentive. Also explained the noodles to us very well. Ratings: Red Braised Beef Noodle soup: 7/10 I personally didn't like it, but my boyfriend loved it. I got it with the fettuccine noodles. Shoyu Ramen Soup: 6/10 just a little too bland, liked the noodles (thick spaghetti) Wok fried green beans: 10/10 fan favorite and I will be coming back for them! the seasoning with them was amazing Soup dumplings: 7.5/10 Better with soy sauce Pork gyoza: 8/10 Crunchy roll: 8/10

Yelp
Nestled underneath residential apartments within a large metro-living complex, this place was a nice find as my daughter and I on a college visit. Super simple place that is clean and, in warmer weather, has a patio area to enjoy the meal. Friendly hello as we came in; there's a sushi bar right as you walk in and they have an open kitchen where you can watch them making food. This place makes their noodles in-house as you order it and it's a real treat. Staff is very hospitable and were helpful in answering my questions since it was our first visit. My daughter was happy to find this place and order soup dumplings ($7.5 for four). I ordered the spicy lobster dumplings ($10) to start. The soup dumplings come out in individual cups. Helpful in a way as I'm sure many people have lifted a soup dumpling only to have it burst onto their clothing. Just looked a little unnatural though the flavors were pretty good. I only got one as my daughter scarfed up the other three quickly. Should tell you what she thought....LOL.... The lobster dumpling had the feel of a fried wonton but filled with delicious mixture of lobster, jalapeño, masago, and some sweet/spicy sauce. Would order both again if ever back here. I ordered the red braised beef noodle soup ($12) and was pleasantly surprised at the flavor. You get to choose the pasta you like and I went with pappardelle. The reward was a nice mix of cilantro and vegetables highlighted with a wonderful slab of beef. The noodles I'd definitely stop there again and my daughter was also impressed. My daughter also ordered the basic run of the mill shrimp tempura roll. (She eats that near everywhere we go...LOL) Overall the bill came out to about $52 after a $10 tip. This place is worth a visit and I think they have locations in San Marcos and Round Rock

Yelp
Random find after bouldering in San Marcos and being starving! I was thrilled to see their menu full of dim sum options, hand pulled noodles, and sushi. To start off I got the mango margarita since it was Sunday! It was really sweet and you can rarely taste the alcohol. For appetizers, we ordered the shrimp chive pancake, shumai, and sumo roll. With that, I got hand pulled pappardelle style cold sesame noodles with chicken. The shrimp chive pancake was amazing and shumai was decent! Their sushi rolls are surprisingly good! They do a great job with noodles, but I don't recommend the cold sesame noodles as this is highly peanut buttery, which doesn't go so well. I think the other noodle dishes tasted a lot better. Service was decent and it wasn't super busy on Sunday! Pretty quiet spot and casual place to hang out. This spot is in an apartment/shopping center so there's a lot of other options as well.

Yelp
Love the menu, love this place. They need help, only reason for the less star. They are trying to hire. The staff was super friendly so it was easy to be patient. Love their dim sum, the sticky rice wrapped in tea leaves was my favorite. The rest was really good too. The address on Yelp was incorrect. We got lost at the strip mall, GPS failed. They are in the corner and do not have the same name on the sign, you just see a large sign that says Sushi. Worth the find, will def stop by again when in the hood.

Yelp
Pretty good experience! A little loud for conversation, but I've seen worse. Great service. The sushi was decent, nothing to wrote home about, but tasty. The ramen was delicious and a huge serving! And it's pretty cool to watch them making the noodles! The steamed edamame was really good...I'm always surprised when that happens...Not sure what the trick is, but some places just really do it right, and they did! We would definitely return.

Yelp
Y'all: I almost didn't come in because I saw some not so good reviews, however my belly wanted some Shumai and some handcut noodles. I am so glad I came in! I had the shrimp Dan Dan noodles with triangle noodles- delish. My husband had some other noodles but I was too distracted by my shumai and my own noodles that I can't remember what he got but he enjoyed it as well. My son (2) went to town on some shrimp and veggie tempura and then we actually had to get a spoon because he was upset that he couldn't get enough rice in his mouth with his fork... lol. Needless to say for my family it was a hit and we would definitely return and recommend. The portions were good and the appetizer (treasure island something like that) was super tasty. So much so I may have to try a poke bowl next time. We had no issues with service so I can't refer to what prior posters described. Our food and drinks were out quick. We went on a Saturday around 6 ish and had our food very quickly. The ambiance was kinda cool, somewhat techno music, maybe I'm too old to know about that but it wasn't a huge priority for me. So glad we came in! We will be back soon....

Yelp
Love this place, noodle dishes are great, the staff is always helpful. Reasonably priced for what it is.

Eliza V.

Yelp
I've been here twice and both times were lackluster. The soup dumplings are mostly dough, the pork buns tasted store bought according to my partner. The chicken in the orange chicken was really tough but the sauce was good so I wish the chicken wasn't so hard. I had to leave a lot of food on my plate. The Mongolian beef dish was lacking flavor. The sushi I had at the last visit didn't taste fresh. On the plus side the waitresses we had were very nice and pleasant.
google avatar

Ricky M.

Yelp
The Rocky Shrimp was great but noodles absolutely had no flavor. The Shoyu Ramen Noodles had broth which tasted like plain water the noodles were ok but flavoring available was none. I saw the reviews and had higher expectations. The service from our waiter kept on appearing to be rushed or short staffed which meant we couldn't get any service. The appearance of the location looked clean and booths were clean and mess free.

Yelp
Honestly, not a bad hand pulled noodle! I am from the Bay Area and I would definitely come back again. The service was a little slow, but I believe they hand pull the noodles by the order, so that's okay! Clear Beef Noodle Soup- The flavors were great and they gave a lot of noodles. The noodles were cooked perfectly. I just wish the radish was cooked a bit better because it was pretty hard still. Overall, for the food in the San Marcos area, I would give this a 5/5 star and would come here again!

Yelp
Amazing food for sure but service was so-so. All the rolls and nigiris we tried were good as well. The Dan Dan noodles was pretty good. They make the noodles fresh. I was in awe watching them do it. The owners( I assume) were really nice. Unfortunately, I had to deduct a star because our server was so inattentive, he acted like he did not want to be there. I know it's hard to find good staff nowadays. We'll have to go back and see if things have gotten better because their food is really good.

Amy H.

Yelp
Service was horrible! Our server seemed like she didn't even want to be there. Ambiance was horrible.. they stuck us in the corner at a sticky table, the restaurant smelled musty and looked like they don't own a broom. Food was mediocre, i ordered a Tom Yam soup.. which was just a bowl of noddles in broth that no flavor. My husband ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice.. and it came out cold and still frozen.

Allison C.

Yelp
Food was good but nothing mind blowing. Waitress was friendly. Only negative was a wait staff's child was at work w them and ran around restaurant bothering patrons. He even would spit and yell at ppl. Ppl come to eat, not babysit.

Yelp
If I can give this place a 10 of 5, I would. I'm actually surprised it doesn't have a 5-star review on Yelp! So let me give ya'll a breakdown on the soups we ordered: Red Braised Pork with Vermicelli Noodles: Savory, flavorful, and the perfect ratio of beef to noodle. You get beef on every bite. You can tell they braised the beef the way it needed to be because it falls apart as you take a bite. So delicious! Shoyu Ramen with Pork Belly: Not too salty, the savory-ness is very subtle and so heartwarming. I love that the pork belly fat melts in your mouth as you take a bite, the perfect 4 pieces sitting in the bed of noodles. I gotta say hand pulled Vermicelli noodle hits different, it's so soft. The cilantro in the soup just ties in all the flavors together. Soo good! Overall, great experience. They have a wide array of entrees, soups, and even bento boxes to choose from. They also have a good drink menu. Inside is spaces, combination of high table seating, standard, and bar seating. I love the ambience, music was good and service was excellent! Our server checked on us, and was good at asking how we were doing. I'd come here again to try another dish!

Yelp
This place is way better than it was a few years ago. Lunch sashimi was the freshest I've had in this town. I like the triangle shaped noodles in their noodle dishes. BBQ buns are also delicious, like sweet BBQ wrapped in buttery pie dough.

Yelp
The food we had was really tasty! I recommend the dumpling soup... really yummy, and the service was friendly and fast. I also had the shrimp tempura which was perfect. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
We strolled in around 8:30 on a Monday night. Business was slow, so we had attentive service. They have a late reverse happy hour, so we tried both types of Gyosa. I would recommend pan fried and the chicken and lemon grass. We each also had a martini, the Lychee martini was great. I ordered the stir fried noodles with chicken. The serving was large, enough to take home. My husband had the sweet and sour chicken and he enjoyed his dish.

Yelp
So good!! Was craving noodles to decided to try this place out. All I can say is wow!! What a punch of flavor! It was a little bit packed and like many restaurants right now (post covid) they are a bit understaffed. Our waiter was super helpful and very honest. We decided to make this a 3 course shared meal and started off with the pork pot sticker, followed by the firecracker sushi, and ended it with the famous Dan Dan Noodles. Everything was a hit. The pot stickers were exactly as you would expect, crunchy on the outside and soft and savory in the inside. The sushi tasted great because of the fresh ingredients. The Dan Dan noodles though... that was probably some of the best noodles I've had. So so good! The sauce was incredibly packed with flavors and the noodles were so chewy, in a good, way and the perfect vessel for the sauce to stick too. You have to try this place out! Order the Dan Dan noodles!

Yelp
Stopped by this place spontaneously as we were waiting for class to start in San Marcos, TX. We're sure glad we stopped by! The server, Joel, was very welcoming and very professional. He was also very knowledgeable about the menu! The appetizers, especially the takoyaki and the pork belly Bao is SUPERB! It's a must try! Their noodles section is impressive-- customers have the option to choose what type of noodle they'd like. The ambiance of this place is pretty quiet, has a semi-formal dinner vibe to it. My husband and I definitely found a new favorite place!
google avatar

Maria P.

Yelp
Wanted to try something new so my boyfriend and I stopped by this place for lunch. For appetizers we got the Gua Bao pork, which was pretty tasty. The pork literally melts in your mouth. We also got the chili wontons and soup dumplings which were *chefs kiss*. I think the only thing I would change next time is to order it without peanuts, I'm just personally not a fan of them on food. I got the shoyu ramen soup which was soooooo good. Especially when you add some chili oil in it and in the pork belly . I also got a passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly which I 100% recommended. Overall I give this place a 9/10

Yelp
My wife and I are generally not fans of Chinese food, preferring Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese or even Indian for Asian cuisine. When a neighbor of ours of Chinese heritage recommended this place, however, we wanted to try it. We stopped by for a late lunch after playing golf with the guys. When we got there, it was just us and another couple so it wasn't busy at all. After speaking with the server, who we later found out was also the manager, he recommended the hand pulled noodles they are apparently known for. We perused the lunch menu and ordered shrimp tempura as an appetizer. My wife ordered the bento box with ginger broccoli tofu while I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles with beef. Despite the place being relatively empty, service was sloooow. It's funny how when you are on a timeline and have somewhere else to be (I had an appointment for a haircut and had to text my barber to inform him I was going to be a bit late) that's when service is slow. It took perhaps 10-12 minutes, if not more, for us to get the shrimp tempura appetizer. On the plus side, the tempura was well executed. The shrimp had a crispy exterior and was tender, not rubbery. We also loved the hot dashi sauce it was served with...we haven't come across a warm, let alone hot, dipping sauce for the tempura. The salad was also good. My wife thought her ginger broccoli tofu was just OK. She thought it was fine but thought the ginger flavor was more muted than she wanted. The gyoza was good and she dipped it in the dashi sauce that came with the tempura instead of the sauce that was served with it. The Dan Dan Noodles were good and we could see the chef, who just happened to be the owner, Gani, hand pulling the noodles. I liked the broth it was served in and the braised beef was oh so tender and flavor. All in all, considering the slow service but good flavors, we liked our experience at Xian. Apparently, this is the 4th location of this Austin-based establishment. Lunch for two came out to just over $38 with tip. We'll be back...with hopefully faster service.

Yelp
We have been here 3 times and have had nothing but great experiences and amazing food! The last time we went, yesterday, we brought our foodie friends and they said the same thing! Amazing food! It's hard to find a restaurant with sushi and have the sushi and hot dishes to be as amazing as this place is! Everything that we have tried from the menu has been excellent! Also the martinis were great and I don't even do martinis! Lol. Things that we have had that are amazing: The Out Of Control Roll made us lose our mind! Spicy Chili wontons Spicy Lobster Dumpling Gua Bao Yellow fish jalapeño Shui Mai Soup Dumplings Shoyu Ramen Soup Stir fried noodle Dan Dan noodles Cold sesame noodles Spicy pork noodles General Tsos chicken The only thing I had one time that was just ok for me was Tom Yam Chicken Noodle Soup. I was thinking it was going to be close to Tom Kai Gai but it wasn't. Might have been my mistake. To me....it just needed more coconut milk and spice for me!
google avatar

Damali V.

Yelp
The hand-cooked noodles were great but ... the service just makes the whole experience feel like a fast deflating balloon. I honestly don't like to say anything negative about anyone especially when I know people are trying. On my first visit the college-aged gal was super sweet. Never mind that she hadn't a clue what most of the menu tasted like. The 2nd time visiting, this college-aged young man must have been tired. It took a while for him to come to my table and there was only one other party there besides me. He never brought my water and forgot my veggie dumplings appetizer until I asked for them after I was almost done with my soup. But I'm gracious to not hold any of those things against him. What I will hold against him is a negative attitude. That came after I asked for the dumplings to somehow be made more firm. Dumplings are not supposed to be mushy. He offered to take it off the bill when the kitchen said they couldn't fix them. He didn't hide that he was annoyed. And when I walked out the door, I clearly saw that he was venting about me to his co-worker. He looked up to see if I was still there. I was. I still tipped him. He's just a kid. He'll learn.

Yelp
Located by Chuy's and Gold's, this little spot is definitely a hidden gem in San Marcos! The restaurant itself has ample seating with a mix of high chairs and booth seating. We went early in the morning and we were seated immediately. Let's talk about the food. Since it was a cold day, we ordered soups! The ramen shoyu ramen was amazing with the Chashu. The chashu was thick cut and portioned into bite size pieces of heaven. The red braised beef tasted as it should and the noodles were cooked to perfection. I will say that they were out of a lot of stuff, but the other selections were still just as good. Overall I'd come back and try more food items. The price was right, the service was great, and everything tastes like it should. Check out this spot if you are wanting great asian food in the San Marcos area!

Juliana K.

Yelp
The ramen was so good. We also had the shrimp and cheese wontons which were also very delicious. The service was amazing as well as the environment. 10/10 would recommend

Elexa R.

Yelp
Such a bad experience I don't recommend anyone to go here! My husband and I went here last night. Ordered 2 ramen bowls. It was not busy at all but somehow We waited over an hour for our food with no communication from our server at all. Finally after waiting an hour our server brings out the ramen and spills it all over my husband and I. I understand mistakes happen but she did not apologize at all of this. Good thing the ramen was freezing cold so it didn't burn us. We then asked if it could be heated up because it was freezing. The server gave us an attitude about it and came back almost 20 minutes later with the food. And it still came out not that warm.. After the terrible experience my husband asked if we could get a discount on our food because the experience was terrible. The workers proceeded to tell him no one spoke English but we could hear them all laughing, pointing, and talking about our table. All the staff we interacted with here were rude and simply didn't care about the quality of food they're handing out at all. I don't recommend unless you want your ramen spilt on you with no apology, cold food, waiting an hour +, getting humiliated by staff in front of the whole restaurant.

Gary A.

Yelp
service was really bad. waitress more concerned with her screaming child. So much for ambiance. Had to ask and wait for utensils and napkins .had to ask for individual soup bowls. Wonton soup tasteless. Shrimp tempura was good (charged for a to-go box) however could not identify the tempura vegetables. Mushy rice.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite place to eat nearby by me. I come here like once or twice a month for the sesame chxn, their wontons are delicious, sushi is great, i love their stirfrys as well. I really recommend this place if you're looking to try something new.

Sunny S.

Yelp
Excellent service, he was slammed, the only employee working the tables and did an excellent job of handling everyone and was friendly and upbeat. We started with the lobster dumpling, and wow!!! Amazing. I had the sesame chicken and it was very very good. The man in my life had the beef Dan Dan noodles and it was Fantastic (yes I ate some of his) this place is great and we will visit again when in town from just down the road!!! Great job guys, keep it up!!!

Yelp
This review is only for the DIM SUM items I tried and the sushi appetizer. I will preface this review by saying I am first gen Chinese and therefore super critical of dim sum. That being said, I would give this place (for Dim Sum) a 5. They're not anything super special but if you're in San Marcos and you got the craving, it'll scratch the itch. The Siu Mai was the best of the five dim sum dishes I tried. It was pretty standard, tasted as I expected. The har gow was.. ok. It didn't taste quite as expected but I couldn't figure out what was missing. The sticky rice in leave was a bit soggy. And I was disappointed in the filling. Where's the juicy chunks of chicken and Chinese sausage? The soup dumplings were ok but they didn't have any red wine vinegar that is traditionally served with it. Lastly, the shrimp and chive pancake. The flavor was good but the pancake is so thick. I'm used to a dumpling version of this so that was disappointing. Probably my own fault tho as they clearly market it as a pancake and not a dumpling.

Yelp
My wife and I wanted to try some fresh Asian noodles. We found Xian Sushi and Noodles, and we are very happy! The Dan Dan Noodles and the Spicy pork noodles were great! They were so much tastier than what you would ever find on an American McDonalds Chinese buffet. These were the best noodles we have ever had. They make the noodles fresh for each order. The food was very aromatic and delicious. They did have chili oil, I just wish they had some hot oil. We will definitely be back to try the Mapo Tofu and the Sichuan Spicy Boiled. (Please note, since everything is made fresh to order, it might take a little longer. It is worth the wait). I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
I LOVE coming here!! Their food and drinks are amazing!! I highly recommend getting the Tom Yam Noodle Soup (with their hand pulled triangle noodles). 10/10!!

Yelp
Excellent service and food. This place being kid friendly means a lot to my husband and I who have two little toddlers. They cleaned the high chair for us, provided little scissors to cut up their food without us asking for it, and have a changing table in the bathroom. Restaurants like this make it easier for families with kids and more restaurants should take note. As a mom, I greatly appreciate these little things more than you know. My favorite was the BBQ pork bun. The bun was uniquely hand made, almost like a biscuit. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Everything was was put together I love the wonton soup. There were lots of hot tea to choose from very pleasant aroma, I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Delicious food, noodles were made perfectly and had fantastic flavor, sushi was big but very scrumptious as well. Our server was very nice and patient especially dealing with the little ones, location is great and the establishment felt like home. Can not wait to go back again

Frances G.

Yelp
We came here because of the rating and was disappointed. I ordered the assorted sushi plate and spicy tuna roll priced $23 and this is what I got for my assorted sushi. Very misleading. Should have said assorted nigiri which is in their menu too. When the owner gave me the plate, I said oh I think she put in the wrong order I asked for the assorted sushi not sashimi/nigiri. She said oh no it's right and said nigiri is sushi. Then walked away. I just couldn't get it off my mind and I asked her again and I said this is nigiri she said it's sushi nigiri and said ok??? and walked away. Then our server felt bad and said she will asked if she can comp. it. The owner came back again and said it's sushi I said it's misleading because this is sushi nigiri. Anyway, she had 3 opportunities to fix it but didn't not offer anything to fix it. Until I told our server I'll pay for what I ate which is the tuna roll and left the "assorted sushi there." I feel bad for our server, she tried fixing it but I think the owner kept telling her no.

Yelp
Everything was wonderful, the wait staff was so attentive and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the sesame chicken, it's not heavily breaded and has a sweetness to it that was so yummy.

Yelp
We went here on a Monday around 5:15pm. Waitress seemed nice in the beginning and everything was fine or so I thought. We got pan fried dumplings, dan dan noodles, mongolian beef with steamed rice, and a side of broccoli. Broccoli came first before the appetizer. We got the mongolian beef at 5:40 and yet to receive the dan dan noodles. We asked the waitress for a fork for my boyfriend and instead of handing it to him she placed it on the dirty table. I ordered togo here before and everything was fine but today everything was horrible. Service horrible, timing was horrible. I understand that it takes time to make food but to wait almost 45 minutes for a noodle dish seems ridiculous when there are only 2 tables in the entire restaurant. But alright.

Yelp
Service was very slow. Food was decent until pork ribs came out. The presentation was gross and the meat looked under cooked. When I made a complaint about it, the server just apologized and preceded to charge me for it.

Yelp
Can be KETO!! Sub the rice with soy paper and you can. Have delicious sushi on keto. Additionally, you can ask for any of the "tempura" fish to not be fried, keeping it kept friendly. Personally, I ordered the Out of Control and Longhorn roll. WARNING!!! The sashimi doesn't have prices. I ended up paying $10 for flavorless octopus which is why it lost a star.

Yelp
Amazing food every time and great staff worth the stop. The red beef braised noodles is the best.

Yelp
OMG. I'm so happy. I was a huge fan of Xian noodles in Austin, but now they opened another Xian noodles in San Marcos Texas. Much closer to my home. Now I can eat Xian ramen noodles every day. Hand tossed noodles with multiple broth choices including vegetarian for folks like me. I lived in Tokyo for two years in Ogikubo one of the most famous areas for ramen in Japan. They had nothing on Xian. They also have sushi and other asian dishes and dim sum. All delicious. Everything is made fresh and perfectly seasoned. I've lived and travelled throughout Asia and this place is fantastic. Things I've had at Xian. (Some before I switched to vegetarian) You can see how extensive my testing has been. All top notch. Steamed Vegetable Dumplings Maki rolls Sweet potato tempura rolls Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf. Deep Fried Vegetable Spring Rolls. Dan Dan Noodles Shoyu Ramen Tofu Fried Rice Cumin Beef Shishito Beef Bento Box Spicy Shredded Potato Sesame Ball Gua Bao Taiwanese Buns

Yelp
I was excited to come here with my coworkers for lunch. We came in at around 12:10, and while there were people in here, maybe 4 tables were full, the rest of the restaurant was empty. We walked right in and sat down, and the waiter gave us menus. We browsed and determined what we wanted and all ordered when he came back. It was a table fo five of us, and one of my party wasn't even eating, he just wanted some tea. It's now 1:02 pm. Food was just now given out, and I am still the only person with a drink. The gentleman waiting on us keeps telling my table he is "still making the drinks". I'm not sure if he decided to mash the molecules together to make water for a glass of ice water, or if he was stirring a pot for the syrup in a Dr Pepper, but this has been a terrible experience so far. The food is alright, noodles were slightly under, but there's a strange taste of cinnamon in everything I've tasted. I've heard the service was fast and food was awesome, but alas, this was not proving that right. Maybe next time, but I can tell you now, coming here again won't be my decision.

Yelp
I was so excited to see Dim Sum options in San Marcos and they did not disappoint. The Shui Mai and Har Gow were amazing! Fresh and flavorful! We also tried something new, Shrimp and Chive Pancakes, and they were even better than I expected. The place was really beautiful and extremely clean. They had hand sanitizer at the doors and were very friendly and welcoming. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed our Dim Sum and we will definitely be back!
