Xing Fu Tang Review - Chinatown - Houston - The Infatuation

"For tapioca purists, there is Xing Fu Tang. The boba is made by hand, tossed into a warm copper pot constantly caramelizing the brown sugar, and then doled out drink-by-drink right in front of you. You might even want to order a second drink just to watch the procession of beautiful silken, bronze sugar-coated tapioca pearls again. Along with multiple versions of brown sugar milk tea—including one with milk tea-flavored soft serve we have to order every time—Xing Fu Tang also makes seasonal drinks with giant jelly boba, strawberry milk, and sparkling sodas." - Chelsea Thomas

No seating, but a few table tops as you wait. Hot fresh brown sugar boba was great. The chrysanthemum tea, though, was a bit tough - chrysanthemum flowers in the tea probably added flavor, but were not good to eat at all. Made it a bit bitter, actually, and even with the jelly hard to eat. Pass on that one next time. Out of a number of drinks.

Nice bubble tea spot! The place is relatively spacious, though seating is limited. The menu focuses on creative bubble flavors. I tried the matcha strawberry with strawberry bubbles—unique, but I actually preferred the classic bubbles, which tasted much fresher. Worth a visit if you’re into bubble teas. As a bonus you can see a huge pot with boba through the glass which was fun 🤩

Google
One of my favorite bubble tea places in the city! I go here every time I’m in the area. The brown sugar boba is always so good! Today I tried something new, the grapefruit refresher and it was really good too!

I love this place so much!! They have the best drinks! The first time I can hear my heart swelled up with happiness and joy!! It’s such a pleasure coming, especially with family and friends!! 💕💕

Google
Wow, their sesame boba tea was soooo good! The decor of the store was very homey and interesting. They made their own boba right there. The boiling brown sugar smaller so good!

Google
Xing Fu Tang has the best boba in all of NYC! The brown sugar Boba Milk is extremely good and has good portions for the price (considering the fact its New York City). It typically does get a little crowded in the evenings, but the lines are very quick and you aren't kept waiting for more than 10 minutes. The place itself is very clean and a lot of things to look at. Definitely suggest checking out this place if you are a tourist.

Google
Serves bubble tea with blazingly fast speeds. Fastest I’ve seen at any bubble tea shop. Drink is ready soon after you place your order. Taste is not compromised. Brown sugar milk tea is the best. Boba is soft and chewy. Tried the strawberry milk tea but the pearls were a little too hard, and the strawberry milk tasted of a kid’s milk drink. Perhaps they should have self-service kiosks to help ameliorate the queue.

Google
quick service, and a small standing-only area the brown sugar boba drink is too milky for me, but the boba itself is yummy

Yelp
Looking for boba in the city? Well good thing you saw my review. Xing Fu Tang has good options for milk tea and fruit teas! As a fellow lactose intolerant, there are thankfully dairy free options here. The original milk tea with boba is made with a dairy-free creamer, and the boba is handmade in store, coated with brown sugar syrup. The jasmine tea with honeycomb was such a delicious fruit tea option, where the honeycomb added a nice sweet taste to the floral flavor. The sugar level was good, not too sweet or bland in either drink. Can't go wrong here!!

Yelp
Xing Fu Tang is a popular Taiwanese boba shop best known for their Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, but I came for their Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea Soft Serve ($7), which was amazing! Whether you get the drink or soft serve version, it's the best dessert. You can even see them heating up their brown sugar boba in the gold pot in display. While the drink and desserts are 5 stars, they lost a star for me due to their service. During my visit, a customer's drink slipped out of their hands when grabbing it from the counter, which caused a mess. The employees didn't seem eager to help at all and continued with making drinks while this poor guy was cleaning up the mess off himself and the floor. Eventually, an employee came out to mop it up. I was a bit appalled that they didn't even offer to replace the drink for the paying customer. He ended up paying for a drink that he didn't have and had drink stains all over his clothes, poor guy. I was disappointed to see that the employees were not sympathetic nor helpful at all. On top of that, I asked for a bigger cup to put my soft serve because it was melting faster than I could eat it, but they charged me a quarter. Really?? Why are you so stingy over everything, it's a bit ridiculous. Do better!

Yelp
Fresh boba / tapioca pearls that come out warm and soft! There are very few boba spots that offer fresh tapioca. Flavors are good. Price is comparatively extremely high for the surrounding area. A medium tea was $8 and change.

Yelp
Okay, I would definitely come back only because I felt like I came during an off day. I ordered the #1 brown sugar but it wasn't made right in my opinion-- so much milk and it tasted straight milk. I know that's not how it's supposed to taste.
google avatar

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite boba chains. However, make sure you get a drink with their homemade brown sugar boba-- nothing else is worth it. My friend got a matcha drink and wish she stuck with her regular brown sugar boba milk. The boba is perfectly warm and chewy, and the brown sugar sweetens and thickens the entire drink. Ask for your order less sweet to account for the brown sugar! They get pretty busy, despite countless competitors nearby, so be prepared for a wait time.

Yelp
This super low key, clean, crisp, minimalistic boba tea shop is everything! They HANDMAKE their brown sugar boba right in front of you. Or, to make things better, you can window stalk LOL as they make it - no really! They totally want you to and know exactly what they're doing. I was enjoying an afternoon aperitivo with my hot date (the hubby) right across the street at Cafe Maud. Just from wanting to know what in the world they were making I found them on Yelp and my boba dreams were about to come true. As soon as we finished snacking, we walked across and walked into this awesome boba tea shop. All drinks and desserts are made to order using their super high quality ingredients imported straight from Taiwan, locally fresh produce, and organic milk. So cool right? What impressed me the most is knowing they hand make their brown sugar boba every hour so you (the guest) can see what's exactly being put into your drink. It's served up nice and warm but once blended with your drink and ice, it's pure perfection. I ordered the thai tea brown sugar boba and it was perfection. I normally get plant based milk but sadly the thai tea is premixed with half and half. For once in a while, I don't mind drinking regular milk and I'm so glad I didn't pass this thai tea up, it's my absolute FAVE! What a great location and even more amazing boba tea! Be sure to stop by if you're in the area.

Yelp
Sad but true, I was excited to try another Taiwanese chain to experience more bubble tea in its glory but the overcooked boba sitting there on some giant warm platter and the flavor of the tea. Matcha was very powdery and lots of synthetic tastes. I'd come back to try the soft serve. Lovely large seating area.

Yelp
Got the grapefruit green tea with boba ($7.50). What's weir did I had a weird feeling of Deja vu when I saw & tasted it. I feel like I've gotten this before at the Flushing location. I also feel like I reviewed it before. Anyway, this is bitter. The grapefruit makes it more bitter & the longer grapefruit stays out/open, the more bitter it gets. Advice: drink fast if you get it. It's not extremely bitter, but if you don't like plain coffee or strong matcha, I don't recommend it cuz it's similarly bitter.

Yelp
XFT was just as expected, having good boba. Service at this location isn't as fast as say the one near KTown but that is because this one is actually busier than that store. The quality is consistent through the branches however so pick which one you like based on convenience. This one is also quite the small store so there isn't much ambiance to speak of..Just people standing around waiting for their order and leaving.

Yelp
Slow service, the workers didn't have time to get me the right cup. I will not be going back

Yelp
This spot is super cute and brightly lit. I love the little hidden seating area on the right side of the counter. I do wish my tea was a little sweeter because this Peach tea was strong and had jelly on the bottom that tasted very light. It was a super light and refreshing drink though!

Yelp
Xing Fu Tang is a great stop if you're looking for a refreshing drink! I've been here more times than I can count, as it's conveniently located on Saint Marks, and there's rarely a long line when I visit. They're famous for their freshly made boba--you can even watch them make it while you wait. However, I find their boba a bit too soft and chewy for my taste. The drinks themselves are consistently good and not overly sweet. While I used to get their milk teas often, I've recently been loving their fruit teas, especially the Jasmine Green Tea with Honeycomb and the Chrysanthemum Tea with Honey Jelly.
google avatar

Yelp
Really yummy and freshly made boba tea. The tapia I balls are freshly made in store with TLC. Came here when there was no line and ordered a regular milk tea, large with boba and less ice. Definitely really hit the spot and will be coming back here again to try out other flavours.

Yelp
I came here for a quick sweet drink for the first time. I tried their most popular drink which was the brown sugar boba and honestly can say it's one of the best brown sugar drinks I've had. The place is very clean and staff were pretty quick to make the drink. Very good :)

Yelp
For my first time trying Xing Fu Tang, I opted for the milk tea with brown sugar boba. I enjoyed the flavor; I didn't think it was too sweet or too herbal. The boba was also soft and chewy and the brown sugar syrup was delicious. My friend got the roasted oolong tea with brown sugar boba, which was also yummy. I don't love the lids they give instead of the classic sealed top. There is also always a line, though it moves generally quickly. Only a few tables inside.

Yelp
If you haven't figured it out yet. I am a bit boba obsessed. So given the opportunity for a boba night cap, I will jump at it. Xing Fu Tang was one of the store fronts in St. Marks that we were passing on our way home and it was hopping on a Thursday night, so I had to see what the hoopla was about. This was a tough order as I usually gravitate towards a fruity tea, especially in the evening. But Xing leans very hard into the milk tea. So a regular milk boba tea was ordered. I needed to go basic to make a comprehensive report. I order my tea less sweet, usually, and with regular ice. Fresh made boba was added and I appreciated the brown sugar boba pearls made fresh and on display for consumers to see. The tea is very well made and the boba was delish. Still a little on the sweet side but it was nice as a dessert after a big meal. If ever in St. Mark's again, I will get down with this and try their oolong or ube. Great job Xing Fu Tang.

Yelp
This is a really unique boba, and it just isn't for me. On a Thursday night in the East Village, this spot was really busy. The inside is brightly lit, and they have a very cool copper cauldron filled with the brown sugar tapioca pearls. I was pretty excited to try the spot because it's clear a lot of people love it. I went with the original and got the brown sugar milk. I love when boba is warm and a little bit sweet, and textually the boba was good, but it was thick and gloppy, almost like it had the addition of cornstarch. It wasn't very sweet. It made the viscosity of the milk extremely thick and creamy, something I don't really enjoy. I probably won't be back, but I see why a lot of people love it. Worth a try for any boba lover.

Yelp
The line was super huge and intimidating it was a bit confusing at first. However this giant line moved really quickly, honestly was not bad at all. What I like is the menu seems to have some very interesting and unique items!! I decided to get the soft-serve milk tea which was amazing. When I finished the order they already finished the number before me. We did not wait more than 2 minutes! The boba was still so warm but it didn't melt the soft serve. The ice cream tastes really good and it goes well with the warm caramel boba. Definitely need to come back and try the rest of the menu. But it looks quite promising!!!

Yelp
Xing Fu Tang is a Taiwanese Boba franchise that serves a variety of boba's with their brown sugar being the stand out. I drank a Brown Sugar Milk with brown sugar, taro, and honey boba, a sweet, creamy drink with bits of burnt brown sugar. I also tried their strawberry boba in their Jasmine Green Tea with Honey Comb, citrus that complements the slight bitterness of green tea with bits of honey comb. their brown sugar is especially soft, has a slight chew with a molasses taste and is always warmed, my mom says it is the best boba she has drank. The strawberry boba tastes like a candy called Percy Pig, it has a smooth softness and satisfying chew. The honey and taro are not bad, slight honey tasting sweetness, both are chewy with some of them being firmer, the taro has a nutty taste but I would not recommend them over the brown sugar or strawberry bobas. Overall, I wish I could've tried more of their drinks so the next time I see a Xing Fu Tang I will make sure to fulfill that, I definitely would check out this boba if you're in the area!

Yelp
Xing fu tang has very good boba but it's definitely on the pricier side. It's 50c extra for a hot drink, $2 extra for a large, and 75c for toppings. When their drinks already start at ~$7 these charges seriously add up! I paid about $10.50 for my drink, so despite the drink being delicious, I won't be back often because of the price. They're known for their milk teas, but I'm not a milk tea person so I got the chrysanthemum tea with honey jelly and then added honey boba. The drink was very good, it wasn't too sweet (I got half sweetness anyways) and all the honey toppings added a nice subtle honey flavor. The honey boba was a real game changer, it has the same QQ texture as regular boba with a light honey flavor. I wish every boba place had it!

Yelp
I was really conflicted between 4 or 5 stars, but it's a FIVE star because this was the BEST boba pearls I've ever tasted in my life...and I be DRINKING boba almost everyday. It was fresh, bouncy, sweet, and absolutely incredible in every single way. The drink was also very delicious. But the one downside are the HIGH prices. It was almost $10 for my tiny cup of boba. But like...I would go again. The tapioca is unbeatable.

Yelp
love this boba shop from Taiwan and they make the fresh boba right in front of you. friendly staff, a bit pricey but it's NYC and love the creamy and milky flavor of all their bobas.
google avatar

Yelp
Best boba in the city by far. I love their gold leaf option. The brown sugar boba is a classic but their ice cream boba is really fun too! I've tried a couple flavors and I love them all. I can't go to any other boba store anymore. They make the pearls fresh and in front of you! The warm brown sugar and boba really make all the drinks special. Sometimes I just come to watch them make it in the window. Great quick service and wonderful location. Only criticism is that sometimes trash piles up after a busy day and they don't have many trash bins or do a good job cleaning up after careless customers (I know it's the customers fault but it's a shame to see that all the trash is just left on the ground still)

Yelp
One of my favorite boba spots in the area. The place has a lot of glass to look in and is has a lot of lighting, and the area is very pristine. They have smaller tables around to stand while waiting. I went during the time they had the LINE FRIENDS collaboration. I tried the Chocolate Milk Boba. It was pretty good, very standard for the chocolate milk. The pearls were cooked well and were soft and chewy. Not too sweet and very light, and they had drained some of the excess brown sugar so it wasn't too sweet over it. Overall a great experience and one of the places I will continue to return to.
google avatar

Alex Z.

Yelp
This brand has probably one of the best boba milk tea soft serve in the city. The soft serve itself is not super sweet with a dust of coca powder on the surface to give a little more flavor, the texture is consistent, creamy but not too runny. The boba in the bottom are fresh made, still warm when it's served. So the warm boba and cold soft serve is a great combination. Line gets long but it moves fast. The entire kitchen is open glass, so you get to see the whole process, even watching how them make the boba from scratch.

Yelp
(Overall: C) - I recently revisited Xingfutang and tried their Mango Passionfruit and Grapefruit Teas. I was very surprised to find that the small is about $8 and the large at $10. While their teas are good quality, tasty and refreshing, I just found the price point to be a bit too extreme compared to similar options. The staff there are also a bit abrasive, but it is fun to watch the fresh boba be made. -- Food: 2/4 Presentation: 2/4 Price: 1/4 Service: 1/4 Atmosphere: 3/4 Menu: 3/4 IG: @amei.eats

Yelp
Finally tried Xing Fu Tang since I was nearby and this was the most "proper" bubble tea. I ordered boba milk tea with light ice. I didn't want such a sweet drink and I care more about the tea, so I ordered boba milk tea. I was originally debating whether to get light ice or no ice ($0.50 extra) but decided against paying extra. It worked out since it was quite hot and sunny that day. Most of the ice melted before I got to my next destination. Milk Tea - normal nothing to rave over, but solid. Boba - I was impressed by this. It was scooped from a pot of boba soaked in hot brown sugar. When I got my drink, the bottom of the cup was hot from the boba. This can explain why the light ice melted quickly too. I was impressed by the texture being very "fresh" and chewy. I wish it had more chew to it, but its texture is definitely not the same as other places. Hence, I don't want to call it tapioca, because I'm not sure how much tapioca starch is in there. The texture and flavor here tastes more like rice flour (aka taste and texture of tong yuen). Tapioca is more translucent than rice (relatively speaking). Regardless, the freshness of the flour is a selling point here and makes Xin Fu Tang stand out amongst other bubble tea shops. I won't say this is the reason to make me want to come back though. They had limited edition strawberry boba when I went, and I think my cup accidentally had a few pieces of strawberry boba in there. Not bad, but too candy-like for me. There were a few pieces that weren't cooked thoroughly either and had a stiff center. Store layout - this deserves a whole section. They allocated like 75% of the store for the kitchen (nothing wrong with that) and 25% for customers which include ordering, pickup up, drinking, and waiting for all of the above. Out of that 25%, they partitioned out 15% of it for customers to wait in line to order - basically from the edge of the door straight up towards the cashier. That's actually very little space. There's no clear designation of what direction people should line up in, and I think only ~5 people can fit there. Everyone else needs to stand outside. That's so inefficient on multiple levels! It's a cramped spot when there's a lot of people waiting. Standing on the far left side of the store means we can't see both TVs showing the menu. The TVs are middle aligned, so we can only see the left TV, and barely make out the right TV. They had a menu at the counter, but none at the door or on the left wall. Also, I don't understand why the pickup area is right next to the cashier (perhaps why the line to order is set to the left of the pickup half of the counter) when they can make it on the far right end of the store, easy for people to leave afterwards too. Now people finish ordering and crowd next to the ordering line so they can be in front of the pickup counter. They devoted 70% of the store horizontally to a glass wall showing the drink making process. I'm not saying that's not valuable, but it's not practical when it creates inefficiencies. Also they have 3-4 standing tables. It's weird. I'd rather they let people use that space to wait (both for ordering and getting their drinks). Overall, this place is objectively good, but the boba texture and store layout and location makes me less likely to want to come again.
google avatar

Sallie D.

Yelp
Poor service. I don't like drinks with ice so asked them to make my drink AS IS (because they can't adjust ice level), let ME remove the ice MYSELF, before they seal my drink. Apparently this led to a big hoopla and manager approval. Really confused. It's always nice when staff act like human beings instead of blindly following "the rules".
google avatar

Phuong D.

Yelp
The franchise is well known in Taiwan and highly recommended by people I know, so I went to try it out. Their boba is soaked in brown sugar syrup in a big pan in the counter and the shop smells very sweet as a result. They are very popular and it was busy up until closing time. There are a few standing tables inside. I got the large boba milk tea. The price came out to more than $10 before tip so this is the most expensive boba place I've visited in New York city (where boba prices are already higher than everywhere else). I asked for no ice and it was an extra 50 cents charge. There is no option to modify the sugar level either. The boba is soft and chewy and full of brown sugar so it is quite good, however the entire drink was way too sweet since I tend to only do 30% sugar at other places. The milk tea itself is pretty standard in taste, nothing outstanding, but the sweetness was definitely overwhelming. I want to like this since they seem to be very popular and have some loyal customers but the price and sweetness are not for me.

Yelp
My friend and I went to Xing Fu Tang Bubble Tea in the East Village on a Friday night around 10am. It was my first time here, and it was a good experience. Though there was a long line, it moved fairly quickly. It was worth the wait. The decor is minimal. Standing room only inside. I had the Boba Milk Tea, which Ahmad a good flavor profile. Creamy, bold tea flavor, and sweet all at the same time. What makes this place special is that you can see the pearls being made with the flour into a machine. You can also see the pearls being cooked and hand stirred in syrup. Another thing I like about this drink is that it's cool at the top by warm in the bottom. Great place that is certainly worth returning to!

Yelp
A friend mentioned that this is the best boba. I rolled my eyes and thought "that's what everyone says". I was wrong, please forgive me. This is seriously the best boba. They make the boba right in front of you! How do I even describe the boba? It's the perfect combo of soft and chewy. The boba has been marinating in brown sugar for so long that you could just eat the boba by itself. I ordered a basic Thai tea, but the boba elevated the drink so much!

Yelp
Stopped by here for a quick treat and was pleasantly surprised how good it was! The oolong milk tea felt rich and the pearls themselves had a nice semisweet flavor to them. One of my higher-ranked boba places since I the pearls were fun to eat Clean aesthetic and I enjoyed the fortune telling piece (you draw a stick that tells you which fortune drawer to open). I tried a few times and only got average luck so I eventually decided to cut my losses

Yelp
I've never loved milk and sugar. BUT This place changed our family's mind about the original brown sugar milk boba. The sweetness is on on on on point. Perfect sweetness. They have extensive open hours too! So we didn't have difficulty come to the shop on open hours. The store's decor was clean, organized. They also have a small fortune telling box if you know Chinese ;)

Yelp
[Xing Fu Tang] Well-known Boba location that is known for its handmade brown sugar boba from Taiwan. They have a few locations. This was the St Marks location in East Village, NY. The vibes in here were amazing. It's was so packed. We stopped at this place while we were waiting for a table at a restaurant since we heard about it before. It smelled so good in here and you can see the employees making the boba. The ambiance was really nice. It's very vibrant like marble vibes. I personally really wanted to try the Brown Sugar Boba soft serve. We also ordered the Roasted Oolong Tea and the classic Brown Sugar Boba Milk tea. Overall, 8/10. I do think the flavor is nice but it's overly sweet. The soft serve was amazing. It was like thick/sticky from the boba but also soft serve https://xingfutang.com 133 2nd Ave New York, NY 10003

Yelp
We just went to the original spot in Taipei and when we got back we didn't realized they had a location here in NYC but so glad they do. Comparing to the OG it is 90% close maybe it is the New York water but it is great, fresh boba and the drink is not too sweet (I had coffee flavor) but definitely the place to get your boba!

Yelp
Xing Fu Tang is always a delight. Always the best boba around. I got the brown sugar milk and paid 50 cents extra for no ice (but more milk, which is worth it IMO). The boba is so tender and fresh, and I love the slight brulee on top. It was a bit too sweet towards the end though, and you can't adjust the sugar level. I wish we had a XFT in Boston! The fresh brown sugar boba can't be beat.
google avatar

Aagdolla G.

Yelp
The black sesame boba milk regular size is $9.25 with tax included. It was sweet and thick like a shake after you mixed the sesame with the milk. The texture is like a peanut butter shake. If you let the ice melt more than it becomes of light in texture after many shakes/manyMinutes.

Yelp
I'd passed Xing Fu Tang several times, walking past and looking at the long lines, I never had the time or quite honestly, the interest in waiting that long for Boba. Last week, when walking past again, I noticed that there was no line and steered out group right in. We ordered a chrysanthemum tea with jelly and a green tea milk tea with strawberry boba. After a few questions, I asked to switch mine to the brown sugar boba. We paid up, grabbed our drinks and headed back out to our next dessert destination. I took one sip of my drink and stopped in my tracks, I have NEVER had boba like this, EVER! They were warm and chewy and tasted of caramelized brown sugar, they were fantastic! Afterward, I kind of wished I had gone with the strawberry boba in the first place as the brown sugar had been SO good! Now, just waiting for the next time passing Xing Fu Tang when there is no line!

Yelp
This is one of the more solid boba spots I've found in this area! I came here I on a weekday night and the line waas wrapped around the inside of the store to some people waiting outside. Despite the long line, the wait was not too long. I got the brown sugar boba milk tea, and it was delicious! You can see them make the brown sugar boba fresh and the texture of the boba is the perfect amount of chewy. I am looking forward for the weather to warm up so I can come back...

Yelp
I had Snoopy's Oreo Boba Milk from Xing Fu Tang and PEANUTS' collab. As usual, the boba (and drink in its entirety) was great. Everything is just sweet enough and the presentation is nice. Also, got the green Outdoor Adventure patch!

Yelp
I always walk by Xing Fu Tang, and I have always been interested in trying it. So, one day I decide to test it out! I ordered the Boba Milk Tea, but the person at the register must've misheard me because they ended up ringing it up as an Oolong Milk Tea. I also like Oolong Milk Tea, so that wasn't a big deal. As for the drink, it was pretty standard as far as milk tea goes. I didn't think there was anything special about the milk tea itself. I will say that the boba was very fresh and it felt like it was good quality boba. I enjoyed the boba here, but I don't know if the price of a milk tea ($7+) is worth justifying that.

Yelp
Actually enjoyed the soft serve! Was pretty flavorful. They have like fortunes that you draw in corners. The drinks are actually pretty. Good level of sugar and chew to bubbles.

Yelp
The best boba I've had! Ever!! I went after dinner around 9pm and the line was out the door. Thankfully it moved quickly and we didn't have to wait too long. I got the brown sugar boba milk black tea. The black tea was delicious and the boba were warm and perfectly soft/chewy. They cook the tapioca pearls in house and keep it warm in a copper wok, which makes such a big difference! Definitely coming back to try the oolong milk tea and the boba milk with soft serve on top!

Yelp
Amazing and freshly made boba to order. I have to say that the smell hits you when you walk in and that is like heaven. I got the brown sugar boba but they had so many options and varieties to pick from. One thing I know that I wanted to try was the soft serve boba which was such an experience. I love that it was not too sweet and I wish I took a picture of it but it tased amazing. Service was quick when we went and I was glad it was an important stop during our vacation.

Yelp
Food (5/5): Probably my favorite boba place in the city. They make your boba fresh in a pot where you can see it. The brown sugar boba is amazing and super delicious. I also like their other offerings like the fruit teas and strawberry boba, but the brown sugar tends to be the best. Service (4/5): The place can get quite busy and the wait can be a while. However they seem to be trying their best. You won't necessarily be getting the friendliest service but they will be helpful. Ambiance (5/5): Well lit boba shop with plenty of space. I like how you can get your fortunes in the front. Very nicely decorated area.

Yelp
It's nice open space corner store in EV. They have few small round table but not chairs. Cashier is friendly. If you never try hot bubble tea, recommend try their.

Yelp
The most perfect post dinner stop! I live a good boba place and the tapioca balls were warm!!! They're made fresh which is super cool. The Dalgona boba was a great pick me up. Perfectly creamy and sweet! The milk tea was a classic and had boba that was perfectly chewy and warm.

Yelp
First time trying this place, and while it is a bit pricier than other boba spots, wow are the drinks high quality! We opted for the taro boba milk tea, with buckwheat milk for shits and giggles. I was pleased to see that they use fresh taro root for their drinks; I hate the purple powder and won't get taro drinks if a place uses it. The tea itself is not very sweet, and instead, all the sweetness comes from the fresh taro root at the bottom, and makes the drink the perfect level of sweetness. The boba was chewy and had great texture as well. Honestly couldn't really tell what the buckwheat milk tasted like with all the other stuff going on, but I guess I'll take that as a good sign? It's also pretty fun to watch them make the boba pearls through the glass. Will definitely be back to try the other drinks!
