The 25 Best Restaurants In Barcelona - Barcelona - The Infatuation

"Spain is notoriously averse to spice, so most of the tacos you’ll find in these parts taste like limp, greasy corn discs of blandness. Not so at Xuba Tacos. One bite of their blue corn tostada stacked with lemon-infused tuna and smothered in chipotle mayo will tell you why this fun, casual joint is the hottest Mexican in town. It’ll inspire you to immediately order the rest of the menu of unfussy tacos that highlight local produce, including the beer-battered sea bass with red cabbage and cilantro that you should zhuzh up with spicy salsa macha. Yes, the bar stools are uncomfortable and the harsh lighting feels like a dentist’s waiting room, but unlike most meals in town, this one won’t last for three hours, so for a quick, delicious lunch or dinner (that isn’t tapas), there’s nowhere better." - isabelle kliger

The 38 Essential Barcelona Restaurants

"It’s rare in Barcelona to see a classic trompo slowly, perfectly charring pork meat, but Xuba Tacos takes its tacos al pastor very seriously. The restaurant lovingly layers spiced pork on the spit, shaves it into thin slices, and serves it on supple, handmade blue corn tortillas. Alongside classics like al pastor and carne asada, there are also modern creations, like black beer-batter sea bass tacos with crispy leeks and sauteed lobster tail tacos with cilantro emulsion. Keep an eye out for seasonal specials, like wild mushroom and roasted chestnut tacos, and don’t miss the micheladas." - Sam Zucker

The food is amazing! The creative tacos are unlike anything I've found elsewhere. The quesadillas are delicious—crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside. The service is also very good. and we had a wonderful time there!

A taco joint with raving reviews so i decided to give it a try! Overall i was happi with tacos, especially the fish. It will be great if the menu have combo of ordering different tacos instead of a set of 3 of the same tacos. friendly service and decent food, i’ll say if you are looking for good tacos, a quick bite, this is a good pick.

Great tacos. Best I have ever tried. Fun fact: the tortillas are made with blue corn flour, which is gluten free!! We tried the whole menu and it was delicious! The obvious recommendation is the Solomillo Rosinni. You can’t go wrong with those flavours. However, I like to be more adventurous and try new things. Therefore, my recommendations are: the lubina, and BOTH tostadas. They were amazing. In addition, the mole was the best I have tried, but it is a more difficult taste for some people. I would definitely try their pudding if you have a sweet tooth like me. It is more like a soft cheesecake with a liqueur on top. For drinks, the Frozen margaritas were really refreshing. Perhaps, my only “complaint” would be the spice. Don’t expect any kick from any of these tacos. They do have two nice salsas you can add yourselves if you like spicy food like me. To be honest, most of these tacos do not pair well with a spicy salsa, but I would totally recommend to add spice to the more traditional ones, like El Pastor, and the quesadillas.

The best tacos in Barcelona? Maybe. These guys make simple classics superb like chicken and avocado. And then have amazing ceviche tostadas, not to mention chef tacos like the Sollomini Rossini… unreal. Very friendly guys and great food.

Great quality Mexican food! I tried the tacos al pastor and the prawn tacos—both were delicious, but I preferred the pastor. For drinks, I highly recommend the michelada. It would be great if they offered more sauce options, like a salsa verde, on the table. (Right now there are 2 salsa options both red) It can get busy, so it's best to make a reservation I would definitely return to try more dishes.

Amazing experience. Definetely the best tacos and quesadilla I’ve ever had. Specially the solomillo and al pastor ones. Staff was also super friendly and managed to sit us on the terrace even though our reservation was inside. Will come back for sure :)

Personally do not really like blue corn tortillas so the quesadillas were better to us.
