"The Yakima Fruit Market in Bothell — which has been family-run for the past five decades — may be in danger. Sound Transit plans to expand bus routes in the city (part of a $54 billion plan voters passed in 2016), and some of the proposed construction would cut into the market’s parking lot, while forcing the family that owns the place to make costly renovations. There’s still time to make adjustments, though, since the final details aren’t expected to be done before next spring, with work on the lanes to start the following year." - Gabe Guarente

Love love love the fruit market! Been coming here for maybe 15 years now. I moved about an hour and a half away so I make it a point to swing by whenever I’m in the area. I have even made special trips just to go there. Their prices are fantastic, the products and produce top notch. The signage is cute, colorful and fun with helpful information for deciding what to buy. The people who run things are lovely. Staff always great. Always clean and organized. I look forward to their posts on social media about what they have going on. They’ve gotten me up there this way more than once to buy something special that came in. So charming with the seasonal things they do like opening for the holidays or special offerings during throughout the year. Fantastic location for taking pictures. Really great local products that are for you, but also make unique gifts for out of town family far from home. So thankful the community fought for this place when it was threatened by public transportation (I support public transportation but not at the expense of priceless community treasures like the fruit market). I hope the market stays around for many generations to come to enjoy. It was painful enough when we lost the country village. Thank you for providing us with such a place!

Google
Our go-to and favorite place to choose fall pumpkins is the Yakima Fruit Market. It offers a well rounded, saturated pumpkin experience. Choose from rows and rows of carving pumpkins plus all the funky pumpkins and squashes that are harder to find elsewhere. There are photo ops, decorations, bales of hay, a scale to weigh your selections, and a full market of fresh produce as well.

We have been coming here for local produce in the Summer for a while but our favorite visits are for the holidays. We have been coming here for seven years now to get our family tree. The little rooster actually means a lot to me now since these rooster pictures with my son have replaced santa pics- if I could suggest anything it would be to bring back the cute rooster backgrounds that have been missing for the last couple of years! Always great customer service and fresh items!

Have always enjoyed stopping in here, whether for fruits/veggies or Christmas trees and greenery! This year we ended up getting two (I know, my hubby says kind of excessive😬) beautiful Christmas trees- and it’s an enchanting Xmas wonderland at our house.🎄❤️🎄 TIP: never hurts to ask about a multi-purchase discount. We did and they knocked off a nice chunk!

Google
I love this fruit market. The produce is always excellent. It does get busy on the weekends, so plan ahead or go early. My husband and I are always happy to shop here.

Google
Perfect little neighborhood venue that has been there for decades with this amazing selection of fresh local fruit and vegetables. Great seasonal additions with flowers and Christmas trees, but best noted for its wide range of fresh local produce

Google
This place sells alot of fresh strawberries and frozen raspberries. Their prices are reasonable. Whoever the farmer is, I hope each one of them are getting every single penny that I spend on products. Local stores is something that not many people have around the world so I appreciate having this place nearby.

Kristene S.

Yelp
I love this spot!! It's fun to stop by here and support local farmers rather than going to the grocery store. They have a little bit of everything and always have new seasonal items coming in at their peak. They have fruits/veggies during the summer, pumpkins in fall and Christmas trees in winter. Friendly and helpful staff and a decent amount of parking!

Maryn P.

Yelp
Holy heck - I drive by Yakima Fruit Market every day going to work and I've always told myself that I need to check it out. Well I did this weekend and I am so mad at myself that this was only my first time. The produce selection was so fresh and vast. The prices were really affordable - honestly even better than the grocery store. We filled two HUGE bags for only $50. I'll be buying all my fruit and veg from here moving forward. I was surprised to see they were a nursery too! I got some beautiful flowers and I'm excited to explore the nursery side more in the future.

Julie S.

Yelp
Fresh fruit, veggies, and lots of options. They are in a great location too, it's in my way home from working in Seattle and I like to stop for last minute ingredients. The team is so friendly and always helpful.

Tai D.

Yelp
Best fruit and veggie stop I made in my way out of Bothell. Everything is so fresh and I love the smell of the Yakima summer peaches. Definitely worth the journey out here.

Jay T.

Yelp
Great place for local fruits and vegetables. Don't think the produces are organic. But I found the quality is good, almost at the same price of the super markets. They have other food items and snacks as well. Their nursery for the vegetables and flowers are really good. That are was crowded whenever I visited. They have parking lots at both ends of the shops. Staffs are friendly. they always do have multiple counters open, never had to wait for a long time for check out.

David B.

Yelp
Purchased 2lbs of pickling cukes on Friday, by sunday morning they were rotting bad. Tossed at least half. Disappointed to say the least.

Michael W.

Yelp
My fiancée and I just purchased our Xmas tree here, they had tons, literally all size and SUPER nice overall. Table top sized, big 8'+ monsters, skinny and super bushes. Paid $70 for a nice even rounded 6' Noble fir

Phil S.

Yelp
I purchased transparent apples in early September. When I got home I found every one of the 10 apples were mushy and lacked flavor. I also purchased red grapes that stated they were seedless on the bag. Every grape had seeds. The apples and grapes went in the garbage. I was served by a female cashier, glasses, approximately shoulder length hair, maybe about forty years of age. She made no eye contact, seemed irritated to have to be at checkout, and didn't speak through the whole transaction. I am told she is family to the owners. It'll be a long time before I go back there again. I saw another recent review that was not good as well. Not much of a thank you to those who helped save the business from the highway realignment that threatened.

Souliphanh V.

Yelp
I would recommend everyone to buy their fresh fruits and vegetables from this farmers market. A lot parking available, also the employees are nice and helpful with picking the best items. I asked for help with what apples are best i usually buy red delicious, crispy juicy varieties of apples at amazing prices .99 cents per pound.

Ashok S.

Yelp
When I think fresh fruit, there is only one place that's truly local that comes to mind. Think seasonally local. They have something for everyone (fresh veggies and fruits, garden (potted plants, seeds, soil etc.), breads/bagels, dairy, ethnic foods and the list goes on....I find myself going in for a few things and coming back with much more. Some of my best finds have been locally sourced bagels, cream cheese, eggs, Washington grown apples and raspberries, corn and tomatoes to name a few. They carry some hard to find plants like the bhut Jholokia (ghost peppers)...yes I like it sweaty hot ...lol! and fragrant jasmine in the spring Selection varies by season and their hours are super flexible. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and boy does that music set me in the shoppers mood.

Yelp
Update on the fine print at Yakima for required storage. Please make your signs easier to read and see.

Yelp
They seemed to have good looking produce but my experience was unfortunately dampened by a very rude cashier. He was standing behind the register and appeared to be separating boxes of produce. I couldn't tell if he was open to check me out so I asked "Are you open?" He sighed, dramatically moved the box out of way and said sarcastically "Well I am now!" I said "Oh well I can go to a different register if you're not". He didn't say a word just proceeded to irritatingly ring me up for my 4 items. Not sure how good my produce will actually taste once I eat it but the experience with this rude employee definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

Kaitlin P.

Yelp
Always have the freshest produce. Their nursery is adorable and the plants are well taken care of. The pricing is great too. I always end up spending less when I visit the fruit stand vs QFC and the quality of produce is so much better too. I moved to lake stevens last year and still enjoy my weekend trips to the fruit stand for my weekly shopping.

Eva M.

Yelp
If you want fresh fruits, veggies, and even nursery items, this is the place to go! They are literally bringing produce from eastern WA to sell here. Everything is very fresh and in excellent quality. I enjoy shopping in season items here, especially focusing on the high quantity products. Those are as in-season as you can get. Usually the large bin items outside are very worthy to be considered. We picked up excellent navel oranges and honeycrisp apples today. Their prices are reasonable to good when compared to the regular prices of grocery stores. Grocery stores commonly have sales, and those prices would be better than here. But hey, you're supporting a "small" business. That's got to be worth something. It's COVID-19 time. Their hours are slightly shorter. Check their website for updates.

Emelina W.

Yelp
Great fruit and vegetables and plants market! It do have some fresher fruit here, but I don't think there is a need to drive 30 mins here. But it is great for the locals! It has parking lot.

Katy C.

Yelp
Yakima fruit market is truly a gem. They have the best produce and garden section in town. My husband and I have been getting our produce from here ever since COVID hit because we know it will last more than a few days, thus less trips out and about. They have a beautiful and diverse selection every time we go. Right now we are loving their artichokes and beautiful fresh flowers. They have a great selection of other local grocery items like honey, popcorn, dry soups, bread and pasta. Not only do they have produce and grocery, but they have an awesome nursery too! Veggie starts, flowers, baskets, anything to get your spring garden going. Everything is much better quality than you'll find at a home improvement store and they have competitive prices. Thank you YFM for your unwavering commitment to the Bothell community! #thankyouthursday

Robin D.

Yelp
Great market for local fruit, vegetables and lots of other items! We love shopping there.

Jessica S.

Yelp
This was one of my best discoveries of the pandemic lockdown! With nowhere to go and having to cook for ourselves far more than usual, my fiance and I ventured out a bit further than usual to find good quality produce. Once we discovered Yakima Market, we made frequent trips - there was not only no need to look further, but I started looking forward to our trips there to see what seasonal veggies I would be cooking with that week. The produce is top notch. I don't normally get excited about green beans, but one look at the beans I found there and I knew I had found farm fresh - you could see the difference, and taste it too. My experience was the same with mangos, eggplant, cherries, you name it. The shop itself is nothing exciting - it's pretty bare bones, and the parking lot is a bit inconvenient, but whatever. Prices are very reasonable, and the selection is great, It's worth the trip.

Yelp
Being from Northern California and having lived in Olympia where I exclusively shopped at my local produce stand, I love me a good farmers market! This is a great farm stand in between Kenmore and Bothell and much larger than any others I've come across on the Eastside. They are open March-October and feature Yakima produce and other local products. Not only do they have a great selection of local fruits and vegetables, many at grocery store prices or less, they also have lots of other items that easily bunny trailed my initial mission. I was immediately drawn to the refrigerated dairy section with local cheeses, milks, and yogurt..because one can never have enough cheese. Their pantry was equally as magnetizing with an array of prepackaged granola and dried fruit, Yakima made pasta sauces and jams, and so much more. Before I knew it, my basket was bulging and then..in a daze.. I stumbled out into their nursery section. Omg..Plants! I do love plants and may or may not have a minor addiction to buying any and every type of houseplant I can get my hands on. Springtime and garden time (adult excuse to play in the mud) is also my favorite time of year. They have lots of both inside and outside varieties with seedlings, seeds, and plenty of pots to keep you distracted for days. Without even realizing time passing, suddenly all the traffic had subsided and I had whiled away a good portion of my commute looking at all their fun bits and bobs. May I also note that I bought our wreath here over the holidays last year and they had quite a selection of wreaths, beautiful banister garlands, and even trees. This is pretty much a great go to spot for just about any season. Just keep your paws off my plants.. I needs them all.

Artemis L.

Yelp
I went to the Yakima Fruit Market for the first time yesterday. Yesterday was their opening day for this year's season! I am delighted by my experience there. The food was so fresh. I thought that fruits and vegetables would comprise 95%+ of the products at this market, but there was so much more to choose from than all of the luscious fresh fruits and vegetables. Prices were excellent (for example, I purchased 2 bunches of daffodils for $4!), and there were some unique specialty items available such as "organic girl" salad dressings, "rill foods" dehydrated soup mix, and "golden girls" jars of fresh honey - honey that was made right here in Woodinville, Washington State! The fresh dill at this market smelled the most amazing out of any fresh dill I've ever bought in my life! There is a large statue of a holstein calf (cow) on top of some shelves full of packaged foods. The calf's name is Buttercup (hehe), and there is a sign around its neck saying so. There are large, cheerful, bright red umbrellas at the entrance to the market. The red umbrellas cover containers of cabbage and other fruits and vegetables. The red umbrellas are a nice way to initially experience the market before entering it. The only complaint that I might have was that the organic section was smaller than I might've liked it to be. I do try to eat mostly organic fruits and vegetables, but this is a personal choice so for those who don't make the same choice, this may not bother them. Service was efficient, and the cashier was friendly. I was surprised that this market had to have a sign on the prunes requesting customers to please **not put pits back into the pile of prunes for sale if they ate a prune**!! Um, gross! Who would do that?! Apparently some people did it last season, otherwise I'm sure they wouldn't have made the sign! It was fun for me to take pictures of the fruits and vegetables here, for the purpose of posting photos to this review. I've never taken close-up photos of fruits and vegetables at a market before. If you have never done this before either, I suggest trying it - it's a surprisingly fun thing to do! Anyway, I loved it here, and I will be back!

Yelp
This is my go-to spot for all things Washington picked. Fruit and veggies are always fresh. Every week is a different option and if you have your dancing shoes on, you'll definitely rock out to their Yakima music list. The music is so good, you'll be cruising the aisles picking up more than expected. Publish your music list Yakima!! I seriously love all the seasonal things they bring in. It makes shopping here a must! And thank goodness their land was saved from the Transit construction. Support a local business and rock out with their awesome staff and friendly smiles.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
What a precious find right in the heart of Bothell. I have been coming to this market for nearly 5 years and just love this small but just right market. It is like a mini pike place market with fresh produce daily. I love that they partner with local farmers and bakers to ensure fresh local ingredients. As a local vegan this is my go-to place.

Dee W.

Yelp
Always fun to see what they have in stock. The plants were all in great shape, but pricey compared to nurseries. It seems they have cut back on fun gifts. Still fun too look around.

Jacob B.

Yelp
Love this place! Close to downtown, parking is a little dicey if you park right on the highway, but there's plenty of parking on either side that's easier. Locals running everything, lots of other goodies, like milk, eggs, cheese, condiments, some sauces and spices. Also have starters for your garden in the late spring. Pumpkins on Halloween and trees for x Mas... good quality, great prices ..

Cali K.

Yelp
People are very friendly. Wish they have more organic fruits and vegetables. Will shop here again.

Alex P.

Yelp
This is definitely one of those not so hidden gems! Fun little old market and nursery. Christmas trees in the winter!

Lloyd S.

Yelp
Opening Day at Yakima Fruit Market ! 82 Years Old and Still Kicking ! Their fruits and vegetables are of the most fresh and affordable as you will find anywhere in the Seattle area.

Jenn E.

Yelp
So happy to have found this place as a great alternative to shop! Love how focused the team has been on safety since COVID started - never once have I felt unsafe shopping here. The open air nature of the Market helps of course but we have found almost all the patrons and all of the staff to be very focused on distancing and mask-wearing. Highly, highly recommend. The product here is always a delight alongside the garden section. In the summer we were pleased to find a variety of different tomato plants (all of which thrived in our yard) and in the fall picked up some gorgeous pumpkins (both standard carving and Cinderella syle) all at very reasonable prices. The produce here really is great - while it does skew toward seasonal offerings we have found that you can likely find anything you need for a general pantry here too. Everything is very flavorful and at a very reasonable price, particularly over famers markets and comparable to that you might find at Whole Foods! Recently we picked up some excellent fresh herbs, apples, pears, and veggies here. We also tried Bridget's produce box delivery service and were so pleased with the quality and quantity of the produce in it - enjoyed that we had a wide range of veggies and fruits alongside some local-baked bagels and cream cheese and a basil plant.

Megan D.

Yelp
My absolute favorite place to get my spring /summer veggies and fruit. They have great snack options as well, I also love their assortment of flowers. Great community/locally owned shop and happy to support it, customer service is always good. My kids always enjoy going to the fruit market with me and look forward to it.

Karlo G.

Yelp
The keyword for this stand is LOCAL. Conveniently located on SR522 is one of my favorite markets to shop for fruits and produce. The Yakima Fruit Stand is a locally owned business that is seasonally operational between March and October. They have been in business since 1938 and is a known fixture in the Bothell community. I decided to stop by the fruit stand in search of wholesome and organic ingredients for tonight's healthy meal. Locally grown and organic produce are one of their specialties and workers were busily restocking and rotating products for optimum freshness. The dairy case contains locally made cheese from Beechers and other other dairy products known around the greater puget sound area. Abundant fruit options make for an easy weekly meal planning. Quick snack packs are conveniently located by the cashier for anyone looking for something on the go. Bags of Cafe Vitta coffee (also a local brew) are displayed by the front end end caps. I recommend checking out the salad dressing options and jams. Salad toppings such as sunflower seeds, croutons, and candied walnuts are all conveniently displayed together which makes my shopping trips a one stop selection process. I also recommend taking a stroll through their garden center. Seasonal vegetables, ornamental plants, hanging flower pots, and even vegetable seeds are available for anyone looking to plant their own vegetable garden.

Ryan L.

Yelp
Love the Yakima Fruit Market! Absolutely love it! We made the trip east to the Market for the main purpose of getting corn stalks and straw bales . . . that's right. The mission was Halloween and fall decorations first --- then fruit was second. How pleased we were to find that Yakima F.M. & N. had it all! The produce there was some of the best! Huge selection of all kinds of fruits and veggies, it was hard to decide what to get...as we wanted it all! Large varieties of apples, pears, and all the other usual suspects. We've eaten some of most things already and they are gooood! We also got honey and popcorn too. As for the H-ween stuff, they too had the best selection of things in all the many places we've looked out here (coming from the Midwest, we didn't realize how hard it would be to find corn stalks, straw bales, gords, and other harvest decorations). Yakima will be our new must-go stop! They have it all. Much more than just pumpkins you will find there! It definitely worth the visit and you won't be disappointed!

RuSunder5 R.

Yelp
Great selection. Pricing is affordable. Have a good variety and amount of produce. They also carry seasonal plants. I go when possible! Worth the savings

Anny C.

Yelp
This place is PNW as it gets. Local produce priced way more reasonably than you'll get anywhere else (aside from Frank's Top of the Hill in Renton or roadside stands in Yakima) this place reminds me of what farmers markets were like when I was a kid... Definitely a must!

Jboogie L.

Yelp
I wanted to check out this outdoor market. It had nursery items and produce. Asparagus was $1.99/bunch. My kids got honey sticks for .33 cents. It's right on the main drag off in Bothell. Got myself a jar of pickled beets too.

Devon S.

Yelp
Everything you could ever wish for and more. They not only have every fruit and vegetable you could possibly think of but they have local honey, pasta, pizza dough, mustard, pickling spice. Literally everything. I'm so in love, when I'm back in the area I am definitely going to stop in and stick up on my fruits and veggies!

Jenn B.

Yelp
What an amazing market! I've been meaning to check this place out for a while now based on a recommendation from my mom & finally got a chance today. They had local strawberries ($17.99/flat) from Arlington & they are some of the darkest & sweetest strawberries I've ever had. We also picked up some of the 1st bing cherries of the season, asparagus, a pickle making kit & some delicious hot sauce from a place in Ballard that is so good. Perfect amount of heat but also full of umami. Will definitely be back!

Cathaline N.

Yelp
I am obsessed with this place! Support this local gem when you're in need of produce and garden starters. I go out of my way to get my produce here.

Deanna H.

Yelp
Been wanting to stop at this place and finally did. Tons to choose from, most everything looked great and fresh. Liked that they had some quirky items off in the corner, by the organics. Everything from fruit, to salsas, honeys, snacks, flowers, seeds, etc. Definitely a great selection. Some prices were reasonable...some were much steeper than the ones at the Everett Farmer's Market I usually go to. Flower prices are better at the Farmer's Market also, but I did like the selection of hanging baskets available here. Check out was easy and the employee was friendly and full of information. Would stop back in to pick up fresh fruit, but wouldn't go out of my way. Definitely prefer the prices at the Farmer's market...just wish I could avoid the crowds at the market. This stand is much easier to get in and out of!

Monica S.

Yelp
Tons of fruit. The more you eat the more you - stay healthy Five stars. Friendly employees.

David V.

Yelp
This is about COVID safety. Because of the plastic shields at the check stands, I have given--reluctantly--2 stars. These are the the unsafe practices at play today: *No employees wearing gloves or masks. They stock shelves and handle produce without any protection for customers or themselves, including at the check stands. *Anti-bacterial spray bottle for carts was empty. Shoppers were taking un-sanitized carts and baskets with bare hands. *No limit on the number of shoppers in a store with very narrow aisles. *No one-way directional arrows to help shoppers maintain safe distance from each other and the employees. We have supported this family-owned business for more that 30 years, including writing letters to prevent Sound Transit from taking part of their parking lot. We bought our Christmas trees here for years. We are in the high risk age group for this virus. We wear masks and gloves everywhere we go in order to protect others. Why don't the owners protect us in the same way?

Deborah H.

Yelp
How lucky to have a local, fresh and seasonal produce stand available so close to home. You can always count on what ever is in season coming right from the local farmer. They just celebrated their 80th year in business, so they must be doing something right in the community! Signboards posted near their SR522 location, you'll always know what's featured on sale. Fresh fruits and vegetables are not all they sell......you can also purchase locally sourced fresh milk, cheese, coffee, flowers and plants/herbs. At Halloween, buy your pumpkin. At Christmas, pick out your tree. Prices are always in line with what you'd pay at your grocery store. But, I'd rather support the local farmer and privateer. Unlike most Farmer's Markets that are generally open on weekends, Yakima Fruit Market is open daily from March til October, so you're able to enjoy fresh produce for the better part of the year! Stop by and check them out!

Melissa C.

Yelp
This is a great place to stock up on fresh, local, delicious produce for less than any grocery store, and the quality is terrific. Not everything is certified organic, but they list names of the farmers, and you can check out their websites to find out more about their growing practices (just because it's not "organic" doesn't mean it was doused in pesticides and herbicides - most of the farmers use responsible, sustainable growing methods). I love the bedding plant section where you can pick up reasonably priced veggie starts and flowers. If you're into canning, you can buy things in bulk when available, like peaches, berries, cucumbers, apples, etc. and they stock various sized Mason jars as well. Not everything is local of course - bananas, avocados, and papayas don't grow in these parts, but I'm glad I can still get access to them. I usually have my kids with me, and they have mini shopping cards for the kiddos and give each s fresh piece of fruit to make the visit less boring. (Or do what I do, and bribe them with a honey stick - there are several flavors to choose from.) The only downside is, its seasonal - so they close up at the end of October and don't reopen until March. Easy to access off of Bothell, and plenty of parking. The staff are always really nice too. It's definitely one of my favorite places to shop.

Erik P.

Yelp
I love this place. There is such a huge selection and all the produce is great quality and price. If you live in the area its the best place to shop for fruits and vegi's.

Jeremy M.

Yelp
Finally had the chance to stop by the market after driving by tons of times and had so much fun. We will be coming back for veggies and goodies!

Jasmine P.

Yelp
Be aware: the vegetable plants in the nursery are not good quality. Compare from those sold in the Home Depot, the ones I bought at Yakima died easily. When I brought back the containers and the dead plants back to Yakima. The manager there was super rude. He accused me not planting the plants right away and that I might have just let them sit in my car for days before I planted it. Note, I had bought other plants from them that day and they are fine, so it was not my human error. Another female supervisor also echoed that : "Now it is not the season to plant the Thai Basil....no wonder they are dead. You should know better." I feel humiliated and extremely mistreated.

steve b.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place and excitedly wait for it to open each year. This is the best fruit/veg stand in the area, hands down.

Ken L.

Yelp
On the way back from a trip up north, picked up a couple of personal sized watermelons. It is slightly higher in price but a notch bigger than your normal personal sized melons. It was juicy, sweet, and red; some of the best I have tasted in a looong while! Perfect for the warm, short summer here in Seattle.

Cassie N.

Yelp
I love love love Yakima Fruit Stand!! Whenever I can I get my fruits and produce from here. Everything is fresh and the prices are incredible. The fruits and veggies here are so much better than the ones at your local, regular grocery store and cheaper too. They have the juiciest, sweetest strawberries I've ever had! They are at their best late summer. I also buy my little sugar pumpkins here during the Fall for pumpkin pie. Not only do they have great fruit and produce but they also have a pretty amazing selection of flowers, plants and nursery items. Customer service is top notch. The staff are always helpful and friendly. They are open March-October, 7 days a week. This place is truly a gem so if your ever in Bothell, I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Ideally, I'd give this market 3.5 stars, but half stars are not an option, alas. I was referred to this market by co-workers and Yelpers alike, so I had high hopes for it. Quite frankly, I don't get the hype. Granted, they have a nice gardening area, so if you're into the plantings, this might be a good spot to check out. But if you're only interested in the produce, as I was, there are better markets out there. It's really, really hard for me to get over the parking situation here. Seriously, you take your life in your hands when you pull into the parking slots in front of the market. In order to exit, you have to back up into traffic, on busy Bothell Way/Rte 522. This is a 4-lane, well-travelled highway. How is this okay? And, God forbid, you need to exit to go eastbound, you not only have to back up into traffic, but you need to cross four lanes of highway traffic to face east. I nearly died a dozen deaths with this maneuver the other day! So be forwarned! ONLY stop at this market if you plan on continuing westward afterwards! (I'm not kidding!). As for the produce itself... yes, everything looked lovely and I stocked up on a lot of lettuces and berries and miscellaneous veggies. But the prices weren't low, as other reviewers claimed. And I'm okay with that, as I expect the quality to be better, and the fare, fresher, than at, say, QFC or Safeway. But cheap it is not. And there was a cluster-f at the cashiers, with two guys cutting in front of me as I dutifully waited under the "cashier" arrow sign (shoppers come from the left and right and just step up to the cash while other suckers, like me, wait where we are told to. FYI). I didn't like this set-up. Personally, I find the selection way better, and the parking, IMMEASURABLY better (and SAFER) at other produce markets around town.
