Easter Sunday NYC 2024, many retail stores were closed for the 1st time. The hat parade by St. Pat's on 5th was disrupted by protesters, but the weather was sunny, windy and relatively mild. Central Park was packed and we decided on sushi for dinner in the East Village. We wanted to go to Hasaki, but they were closed for Easter. This restaurant Yakiniku West (not sure why "West", this was the East Village 😕) was next door. There was no line at 7:30pm, dinner primetime. Let's try it. We were seated immediately on the 2nd floor (heads-up, this is Siberia = poor service here as the kitchen is downstairs on 1, highly doubt the servers want the stairmaster regimen for each order). The AYCE menu is extensive, but the time delay to receive items was extensive. Our order needed to be repeated 4 to 5 times. Everything ordered was delivered. Food quality for an AYCE was a 6 of 10. Mostly precooked. Our server was very nice, just not able to complete the 2nd floor trek while memorizing multiple items. Maybe try again next time, but on the first floor. About $180 for a filling meal, including the 20% gratuity, pretty fair.

The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. Their happy hour is pretty good, too. The service can be a bit slow when it gets busy.

Google
Went here for a friend's birthday and the meat quality was very high. I would recommend getting the Kobe star tier as those cuts really melt in your mouth. The Takoyaki, Karaage and fried tofu apps were tasty. It was extremely busy and we did have to wait for quite a while for our appetizers, but the waiters were apologetic and the 2 hour time limit was never brought up. At the end of the day we all left extremely full.

Google
If you're looking for a different type of bbq, this is your go to. Cook your own meat, different cuts and lots of variety. Service was good at first but after that we had to wait 20mins before we got our meat.

Google
The meats are so good. Compared to the other barbecues, the food here is very good at this price. I very much recommend their Kobe beef set and hamburger meat. Would love to come a couple more times. The seats are not so much, which makes a limited number of people at once, and makes the experience better

Google
Got in with a 2 hour timer for all you can eat, then ended up waiting 40 minutes between each round of meat. How does serving already prepped meat take so long? Instead of "All You Can Eat" it was more like "All We Can Serve". What a great way to make money, set a timer then serve the plates as slowly as possible so the customers leave hungry. Oh, also slapped with a forced 20% tip as the icing on the cake lmao. Unacceptable. Do not come here if they look even remotely busy.

Google
I had a disappointing experience at this all-you-can-eat BBQ place. The Kobe star price tag of $58 per person had me expecting something special, but the reality fell far short. The food was terrible – the meats doesn’t seem that fresh and were difficult to chew. Honestly, it just wasn't worth the price. The grilling process was frustrating too. The grill was slow, and the flames weren't strong enough, making it take forever to cook anything. The grill plate ended up turning black, and the meat still looked undercooked. The waitress were just okay, nothing remarkable, and we only ordered one round of meat. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this place. It was a letdown in terms of both quality and value.

Yelp
I've never been to an AYCE Japanese spot before, so I was quite pleased at the diverse selection of foods to choose from. My group's favs that we ordered multiple times: the garlic shrimp (beware: the spicy garlic shrimp is SPICY and this is coming from someone who loves spice), miso short rib, fried lotus root, miso soup, and black sesame ice cream. Great for groups.

Yelp
I would highly recommend making a reservation prior to coming or if you don't mind the wait, you can put your party down and go grab some happy hour before coming back to eat. I arrived at around 6:45 and was told they'll have a table at around 8pm. When we came back at 8, our table was ready and we were quickly seated. You have the option of either ayce or a la carte. We opted for the ayce and even then, there were 3 tiers to choose from. We opted for the kobe, which was $58 per person with a 2 hour time limit. They also came with a welcome platter to start you off. I hope you know how to grill yourself as there are no instruction to do so. Especially for the scallops and mushrooms which come in a foil. They also missed a few of our orders, ie the salmon sashimi and clams. We had to order twice before one order actually arrived at our table. I understand they get a lot of orders put in, but service was also a tad slow. Once we finished all the food, there was a wait for the next order to arrive. Not in all a bad thing, but if you're hungry, it may be an issue. At some point, no servers were seen in sight, perhaps it was an hour before closing so there were fewer people working? At first they were good with refilling our water, then as the night went on, my cup was left empty. The quality of meat itself was okay, but it is slightly difficult to cook without some oil, which of course I found a way around. At the end, for three, we paid around 250 or so after tax and tip. not sure it's the best..

Yelp
Not even opening at the correct time. Waited for half an hour from their schedule time on Saturday. No warning of permanent closing or change in time.

Yelp
Food (5/5): We got a bunch of appetizers and some sets while a friend of mine got the barbeque sets. Specifically we ordered the Okonomoyaki, Yakitori, Croquet, Negi toro udon set, tuna udon set, and qagyu beef sushi. All of the dishes were very good! Particularly I enjoyed the Yakitori and Okonomoyaki. The udon noodles were also of good quality with flavorful broth. The only complaint was from my friend who got the BBQ. For the quality and amount, he thought the price was too steep. Service (4/5): Overall good service with the waitress helping us when requested. Food came out reasonably fast. The only issue was that they didn't check up on us or refilled water that frequently after giving the food unless we waived them down to ask. Ambiance (5/5): There are two floors to this restaurant. We sat on the second floor. The place feels like an authentic Japanese restaurant with the wooden furniture and setup. Plenty of seating as well as space on the table.

Jennine K.

Yelp
Came here with a large group for dinner. We were split to three tables near each other. Our table ordered a la carte, but the other tables got ayce. And we noticed a huge difference in service and timing of food coming out between our tables. For ayce, since there is a time limit of 2 hours, it seemed like their food came out really slowly so they were not able to eat as much food. Our table that ordered a la carte and food come out so quickly our table was overcrowded. Also the staff were quite rude to us as we were leaving. I didn't enjoy my experience.

Francisca B.

Yelp
I was very excited to try the "all you can eat" promo every 29th of the month. We ordered the Kobe option and unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the meat (not tender as expected).

Michael N.

Yelp
The atmosphere is very nice in this location, plenty of space for seating and the prices are good for the amount you get. The meats were very fresh and it was juicy. I got the she so hungry meal for 2. The soy sauce was really good to dip with. ( was too hungry and didn't have a chance to take a picture of the meats :( the takoyaki was also very fresh and crispy yet soft.

Maggie L.

Yelp
Fresh Japanese BBQ Meat was yummy and fresh But the portion is slightly small And the service is ok

Kelly Z.

Yelp
It was my first time eating at Yakiniku West after seeing their weekday specials. On Wednesday they gave short ribs special and on Thursdays, salmon specials. We ordered 3x salmon toro (4 pieces each other), salmon collar, 2x salmon sashimi (5 pieces each other), and salmon collar for apps. The salmon did not disappoint especially with the Thursday special. We also tried beef tongue sashimi for the first time, it was interesting but it was slightly frozen so it didn't have much taste. For the main we ordered the mix platter for 2 for $60. The portion was decent for two people to share. We left pretty full and satisfied.

June-Young C.

Yelp
Sometimes chains are better. Gyu Kaku has an All You Can Eat Option, and even the a la carte menu is better than this place's in both quality and taste. I got a "complete" dinner set D which is a 5 oz ribeye with soup OR salad, rice, and cabbage and exactly one broccoli. They should name these sets "completely insane" because who puts raw meat on the same plate as the vegetables? Plus there's no way to cook the cabbage on the grill without burning it. I also got an order of short rib for about 8.50 and a taiyaki for dessert. The taiyaki wasn't super crispy or entirely warm. Maybe it was frozen and they microwaved it. The total for this amount of food was probably around $50, which is outrageous. My friends got udon sets, which I thought was weird since this place is for yakinuku. The udon sets even come with a bowl of rice which is hilarious. Fried sausage, udon , with a side of rice. They also got a kobe prime beef sushi, but the meat wasn't thin and fatty enough so it ended up being too chewy. They grilled the half seared beef to finish cooking it...what an abomination. Next time, I'd probably just go gyu kaku for a real yakiniku deal, or just get small apps and beers during happy hour.

Curtis H.

Yelp
I had high hopes because I had heard great things about the meat quality at Yakiniku, but my recent experience left me thoroughly disappointed. My friends and I opted for the all-you-can-eat option, thinking it was a great deal. Unfortunately, the service we received was so abysmally slow that we had only put in two orders when the staff told us that the two hours were up and it was last call. Most of the time our grill was empty. Each time we ordered, the service staff gave us attitude. To add insult to injury, on our final order, the staff intentionally provided us with less food than we ordered. When we asked about it, the staff told us they didn't think we could finish the food so they brought us less. It was a blatant attempt to limit our consumption, which is entirely unacceptable considering we paid for an unlimited dining experience. I've never left AYCE so hungry before. I won't be coming back -- I've also ordered a la carte from here before. Again, I waited an hour from ordering a combo plate to my food coming.

Nee Y.

Yelp
Even though this is Japanese bbq place, they also serve sushi, sashimi. Foods come out really slow, maybe freshly prepared after we ordered?! Overall food's ok. No service.

Min T.

Yelp
Typical cozy Japanese restaurant look & feel when you walk in. This place is at a busy & popular location in Astor Place, behind St. Marks. We walked in without reservation at 6:30pm on a Saturday and we were seated right away. However, after that the place got busy so a reservation is recommended if you come with a group. We were a group of 3 so we ordered the Meat Lover set for two, which was more than enough for us. Our set was $160 which with tax & tip comes out to be $200, which is pricy in my opinion. You do get a LOT of meat, which makes up for it. The set didn't come with any sides at all, just lettuce to wrap the meat in, which besides me no one else touched/used. We all agreed that it needed some sides even if it's just soup or rice. Otherwise, delicious meat, efficient & friendly staff, in a convenient location.

Dave W.

Yelp
This place is disgusting. I tried the short rib, which tasted more like shoe leather. I've never seen short rib with no form of fat or as tough as a belt. Do NOT get bibimbap

Alicia C.

Yelp
Food was good and service too. Monday and Tuesday special is very affordable, especially compared to Korean BBQ prices. The assorted vegetables for grill are weird: cabbage, corn, broccoli, mushrooms, and peppers. The corn and broccoli and presteamed. The mushrooms and peppers I get but the cabbage is the weird one Will definitely come back

Mich M.

Yelp
I was busy and have no intention of eating. Upon heading to the train station with my associate, I came upon this restaurant in the East Village. What caught my attention was the big sign that says "$1.50" and big pictures of salmon nigiri. I kept walking but that $1.50 salmon nigiri is in my head. It's not American sushi, it actually looked Japanese from the outside. I kept walking though. Departed with my associate at the train station, made 3 business calls, and came back for this beautiful looking piece of salmon nigiri *drools* This restaurant serves Japanese BBQ and sushi! I was in a hurry so I can't do the J BBQ today. I ordered almost everything on their Salmon Thursday menu because it is friggen Thursday! 5 pcs of salmon sashimi - $7.50 Mini salmon poke donburi - $7 Salmon nigiri was $1.50/pc but since I already ordered plenty of regular salmon, I got the salmon toro nigiri for $2/pc instead The fish was very fresh and delicious. The soy sauce was savory. The wasabi was very strong, it made me teared up. That's good! The ginger was fine. I'm okay with the rice. I think next time I won't need any rice. Next time I want to try the bbq salmon butter in foil for $7.50! It sounds delicious

Crystale Y.

Yelp
Walked in around 5ish and was seated immediately. They were having their Wednesday promo for their Kobe beef platter for $20 so that was what we went with. I love how thick the slices of meat are compared to other bbq places. The meat was tender and the marinade was flavorful. 10 oz of meat didn't seem like a lot but it was definitely enough for one person paired with rice. We also got the salmon belly nigiri, the quality of the fish could've been better but no complaints here. I wish they offered a sweet soy sauce like other yakiniku places but the meat was seasoned enough for it to not be a big issue. Overall, really enjoyed our meal here and would definitely come back!

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
Oh my freaking goodness on a cracker everything here is perfect. On Mondays and Tuesdays there's a beef platter combo for $19.99

Tianyu C.

Yelp
We weren't welcome when we entered the restaurant, that's fine, maybe the receptionist had a bad day? We sit there for 20 minutes and no one came over to take our order. We asked the waiter (shown in photo) that we ready to order and got ignored. And I came over to him again since he was the first person I saw around our area and asked once again that we ready to order, surprisingly he relied with "I KNOW!" in a rude and disrespectful altitude!

Cowcow Z.

Yelp
Saw an Instagram video and found out this place offered beef tongue and liver sashimi so came here to try it out. I absolutely love tongue, but this was bland with no texture nor flavor. The liver was gamey but also really bland. I ended up throwing both on the grill, and it was slightly better since it at least had a chewy texture, but still no flavor. I've had my fair share of unseasoned raw beef tongue, and there should be a subtle beefy flavor and slight chew, neither of which this had. The rest of the meat itself was also really mediocre. I never order my meat marinated at JBBQ or KBBQ, and praise for the natural juices of the meat itself, but the meat here had absolutely no flavor or texture. The worse was our grill did not get hot enough and it took almost 5 mins just to cook the piece of cabbage till it wilted (it usually takes seconds on a normal grill). The fire was so low that the fat on the meat barely melting and was melting so slow that there was no sizzle on the grill at all. I am not joking when I say I was cooking the broccoli and okra for about 20 mins. At that point, most of the Veges got dry but we're not fully cooked (broccoli especially). We asked for the fire to be turned up but was told it was the highest. When your food dries out before the juices can release, the fire is very very sadly low. Their booths are not really booths but a long table booth that has a hanging window shade as a divider. Because if this, you can still see the bottom half of the person next to you on the other side of the divider and it's winter time now, so with coats, they were basically touching each other. It was also so incredibly loud that I heard the entire conversation from the people on the other side of the divider-- not a good experience. For the price and taste, I wouldn't recommend anyone to come. Came in with expectations that were not met, would rather go to Gyu-Kaku a few blocks down even though that's a chain store

Jacky C.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday evening with a friend. This was a bit last second decision and was expecting a 30 minute wait due to the area. I was still waiting for my friend to get here when I arrived, but the host was able to get me a table in 5 minutes and was okay with sitting me despite not having the full party. While waiting for my friend to show up, I order an Asahi Draft ($7). Another 30 minutes pass by and he finally showed up and we got right to ordering. We ordered the Zei for 2 Platter ($70), which consisted of 6 different beefs. We also each got a bowl of White Rice ($3). We thought we would need to order more meat, but after consuming everything, we were both very satisfied. Service is terrific. Super friendly and attentive staff members. This was my friend's first BBQ experience and he loved every moment of it. The meat was very good quality and we both left satisfied. What more can you ask for?

Sabrina Y.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday night and were seated promptly. We got the Okonomiyaki appetizer and Kobe for 2 and a side of rice, which we thought together was a good amount of food. The Okonomiyaki was a bit soft and doughy, but had good flavours. The Kobe was mixed: some cuts were super tender and delicious but others were a bit chewy, no matter how we cooked it. Overall, 4 stars - a good, solid choice if you're in the area that won't disappoint, but personally not something I'd make a trip to come back to.

Hank Z.

Yelp
I don't remember the last time I posted a two star review, but this was definitely one of the worst meals I had in recent memory, not close. I've been here quite a few times pre-covid, when you still had to take off your shoes to enter, and as far as I remember, I enjoyed the food and the experience. The main issue is the meat quality. We got the large beef combo and almost every cut was so tough and/or dry that they were basically uneatable. I have no idea what cut of the cow they were using, but I swear it was the worst meat I've ever had at a shabu shabu, hot pot, yakiniku or korean bbq place. I get that this place is relatively 'affordable' by nyc standards, but it's true, Gyu Kaku is way better for the same price. I'm giving a one more star, because the sides we ordered - bibimbap, and okonomiyaki were eatable, though not good by any means.

YingLinn C.

Yelp
Tried to take a picture but it didn't look so good! We came to try because we wanted Udon West, and it was closed :( When going into the restaurant, the interior was beautiful! Ambiance: 5/5 - they even pulled the curtains down so that our party of 2 can get a little privacy. Feels like I've been brought to Japan. Food: 4/5 We ordered the special beef (wagyu and something else but there were 3 cuts of beef). Honestly only one cut was delicious, everything else wasn't so good. Udon was really good!! Service: 5/5 Super helpful and attentive staff even if they were really busy!

Linda Z.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant specifically for some udon and was pleased to find that the interior decor provided an authentic Japanese atmosphere. During our meal, we noticed many locals dining, which added to the authenticity of the experience. The service was attentive and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable. However, while the udon was satisfactory, it was unfortunately a bit bland, lacking the depth of flavor we were hoping for. Additionally, the fried chicken dish could have used a touch of salt or sauce to enhance its flavor profile. Overall, the experience was pleasant but with a few improvements to the food, it could have been exceptional.

Will H.

Yelp
My friends and I have been coming to this yakiniku for years (between closings for renovation) and love the consistent quality and pricing. Meat is great and the Happy Hour pricing definitely helps.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Came here after looking around for somewhere close for bbq. It's not a bad place. It's okay. But I would come back. The service was not that good since there was only one waitress taking everyone's order and then a guy from the front would come back to check. They gave us the wrong order. Ordered something else. Which was fine we ate it anyways.

Jenny C.

Yelp
This place has renovated since the last time I've been here (10 years ago LOLs). The quality of the grilling meats is still great and they still have their meat specials on Mondays and Tuesdays where the sliced short rib meats are 1/2. I was here with two other people so we ordered one serving of the meat specials and an order of the meat lovers for 2. We also ordered some assorted veggies just to say we had veggies. The only negative I have about this place is that we felt like they kept rushing us to pay and leave when the restaurant still had empty tables. We wanted to sit and catch up and please know that if we saw that they needed tables were would have left but there were still a few vacant tables so we didn't understand the rush

Sarah L.

Yelp
The meat was fresh and well marinated and the price wasn't too expensive with Mondays and Tuesdays having 50% off on select items. We came on a Monday so it wasn't too crowded indoors. Perfect for after work quick get togethers. They also have a list of sakes to choose or try from which is a plus. BUT they charged us for 2 baskets of 5 lettuces for $10 with no warning. Most bbq places offer lettuces for free so this is kinda wild. The waiters are nice but interrupt frequently. Idk at times i felt a tiny bit uncomfortable. Probably will go back at some point but never ordering lettuces from there again I guess I'll just have rice instead.

Chris Y.

Yelp
A great spot for Japanese grill, especially when you come on the weekdays for a special. We ordered 3 sets of the Kobe beef special that is featured on Wednesdays for $20!!! For the amount of meat, this was definitely value especially in NYC. A decent sized portion, but people who eat a little bit more might need to order something else to pair with it. The meat was good and came with two different dipping sauce. There are many other restaurants that serve meat to this quality and even better. But what makes this place unique is that you can cook the meat yourself and to your own rarity. If you're looking for something with this interactivity, come here. Value: 5/5 (on weekdays) Ambiance: 4/5 Taste: 3.75/5

Brianna Y.

Yelp
5 stars for the service and 3.5-4 for the food. The best meat on our platter were the duck slices. The beef was a bit chewy. I recommend getting the veggie platter as it's nice to mix things up - and flame-grilled veggies are delicious. This was a nice date night experience and not too pricey for what it is. I just wish the quality of the meat and how it's seasoned was a little better.

Sean F.

Yelp
Food good. Service bad. Overpriced for the level of service. They also never brought out half the food we ordered

Xinying L.

Yelp
My friends and I (party of 4 ) stopped by on a Saturday evening without reservation and was seated pretty quickly on the second floor. We were the first party on the second floor and by the time we left more people came. Barbecues includes meat sets, beef , pork, chicken & duck, seafood and assorted vegetables. We ordered 2 party sets, Meat Lover for 2 (6 kinds of meats) and Kobe for 2 (3 kinds of Kobe beef) . The sets are definitely bigger than most barbecues places. I think the marinated meats were pretty good without the sauces but they did offer two sauces, i think miso and sweet soy sauces. Either sauces are also good. As for the corn in the sets and assorted vegetables was pretty sad. It was small, and barely any to chew. We got ends of the corn and we were pretty upset. We ordered two Bibim-bap and i think it was ok. We thought the portion was small since our server suggested one for each person. But we didn't even finished the second one. Also love the appetizers we chose: Takoyaki, fried chicken and Agedashi tofu. Other than the things mention above, they also have a lot more appetizers, rice sets, salads, udons, dinner sets and desserts. We spend over $300 tho...

Jatin A.

Yelp
Yakiniku is a relatively inexpensive J-BBQ spot that should satisfy your cravings. I do feel a bit cautious going into J-BBQ spots because they tend to serve small portions that eventually amounts to a lot for any decent sized meal. We were lucky to have taken the M/T deal, and that might have been the reason we left satisfied! We liked the okonomiyaki. The meats which we cooked ourselves under little supervision were very tasty. The service was very good, as well, with an attentive waitress. I have the feeling it might get loud over here over the weekends or Friday, but that's just speculation.

Ross J.

Yelp
the experience of buffet is pretty bad, we had to wait at least 40 minutes between meals and keep starving,这家店就他妈歧视中国人,点自助就是跟你耗时间,不上菜或者上的特别少,就他妈死吗日本人看的狗店

Tracy F.

Yelp
The menu is constantly changing and the prices keep going up. With three people, we order over $100 worth of food for lunch but left feeling unsatisfied. The waiter also didn't explain which meat was what when it arrived nor did he tell us how long it had to be cooked. This used to be my go to spot for BBQ, but unfortunately I won't be returning anytime soon.

Katrina W.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with some friends. The meat is definitely quality. My friend and I tried the short rib, but my other friends shared a big mixed platter. The sauces were soooo good. I kept trying to dip everything in it, including my okonimoyaki hahaha Their bibimbap set is a great deal. It's $18 for a bibimbap, soup, salad and vegetables. We also tried an Okonimoyaki. The bibimbap was really good and the okonimoyaki was good too, but felt a little heavy after a while. Overall, was definitely satisfied with this place!

Coco C.

Yelp
Somewhat overpriced but pretty good. Service was not very amenable. Rice balls were the best. Agedashi tofu was pretty good.

RebeKah M.

Yelp
Really beautiful modern space w/spacious seating ideal for groups - we were a party of 6 to celebrate my 16yo's bday w/two of her friends. We ordered two, 6 piece appetizers of pork gyozas for the table and the other adult had 2 lychee martinis that she enjoyed. We all ordered sushi rolls and while we finished them they setup the bbq which was perfectly timed. The teens had never had Japanese bbq and wanted to experience it - but no one was starving so we just got two a la cart chicken & beef orders for them to share - which was perfect. While they we're grilling we ordered miso soup, rice balls and more of the delicious gyoza. We were all pretty satisfied w/the servings as we are all light eaters. They placed a candle in one of the Taiyaki's we ordered which was perfect & a nice surprise for us all because I'd forgotten I'd mentioned it was her birthday earlier. They don't split checks so figure that out beforehand. The girls were happy & pleased. Perfect experience & portions for teens and children. Four stars bc the food was "just ok" but the service was steller, attentive and easy.

Yelp
I want to support local restaurant, but truth is a truth. I was told by one of my friend that Yakiniku West has a good food and great price so Friday night I have a chance to try on. I got to the place early so it wasn't busy and there are bunch of waiter and waitress giving service around. My table is a table of 2 and this is a food and drink that we order. - House sake : it is hot sake, I wasn't crazy about but it is ok. 7/10 - Fried Squid : good and popular dish, I also like it especially wasabi soy sauce. 8/10 - scallop and mushroom in Foilbox: I love it, so delicious and one of my favorite. 8/10 - Kobe Finger rib: This is a mistake, I didn't want it but they gave me the wrong on and it is too much fat and sticky. I couldn't finish it, so terrible and they don't take it out from my bill. 0/10 DONT RECOMMENDED! BE WEAR don't order this one. - Dinner set Short Rib set: it is good and I add an extra $5 for Bibimbop. That is so good. 9/10 - Kobe inside skirt Miso: this one is the one we wanted to order but thet gave us the wrong one at the beginning.

Yelp
I haven't been here for years but apparently they renovated the place. I missed how it was before where you take off your shoes and sit at a low table. I came here on a Saturday night for a birthday dinner with a group of 4 people. We ordered the gyoza, okonomiyaki, takoyaki, fried scallops, the Kobe platter for 2, and the assorted vegetables. I especially liked the takoyaki and the Kobe platter for 2. There was a lot of meat and the pricing is cheaper than Gyu Kaku Japanese Steakhouse nearby. I brought a cake from Panya (Japanese bakery) nearby. I forgot candles but they were nice enough to provide a candle, cake cutter, plates, and utensils after the meal. The staff were super nice. I would definitely be back! They seem to have daily specials and the deals were posted outside.

Yelp
There was no set meal for three so we ordered zei for 4. It was a lot of fresh meat, and we are satisfied. We also ate a salad and some rice balls. Taiyaki could not be missed. We three girls finished the meal proudly

Yelp
Super good Japanese bbq! Back in the days it used to be traditional where you had to remove your shoes but now they're back and it's more of a sit down place. Definitely recommend getting one of the meat platters so you get a little bit of everything. You grill the meat yourself and the beef tongue here is sooo good. They also have days where they give you specials on their meat! They also have happy hour for drinks as well! Nothing beats some beer with bbq! Good place to hang out with friends. They also have some sushi too which was okayyy but I'm here for the meat meat meat!

Yelp
A disappointment for a joint that looks authentic in the area with a lot of Japanese restaurants. We ordered the meat lover for four and several of the meat cut were too. The prime short rib, Kobe short rib and pork belly were three of my top choices.
