"Gastón Acurio is a global ambassador of Peruvian cuisine and his Barcelona joint doesn’t disappoint. Expect great food in a laid-back atmosphere and a range of Peru’s best dishes. Acurio’s ceviches, piqueos, wok-cooked rice-and-fish options are delicious, authentic and best paired with a pisco sour."

The 13 Best New Restaurants in Barcelona | Eater

"Chef-owner Gastón Acurio is Peru’s most famous culinary ambassador, and arguably the driving force behind the world’s sudden obsession with Peruvian ceviche. Yakumanka is inspired by Acurio’s internationally successful La Mar concept, and the menu here features some of that restaurant’s best ceviches, including Carretillero made with mussels, shrimp, crab, and tiger milk (a citrus-based marinade) and apaltado with avocado and grilled octopus." - Isabel Conde

Barcelona has good Peruvian restaurants, but Yakumanka is another level, the staff was very friendly, offering good service, nice experience. The dishes have a Peruvian taste standard.

Absolutely in LOVE with the vegetarian dish I had here, pictured in the attached photos. Definitely recommend even if Peruvian cuisine might be something you don’t normally like, as a Slavic person I can say that this was a pleasant surprise. A must visit, and don’t forget to try their traditional cocktail as well. 😍

The food was good, but the experience didn’t really stand out. The staff seemed a bit bored and uninterested, which made the atmosphere feel a bit off. Overall, it was fine — just not as great as we expected.

Great restaurant overall. The Classic cebiche & curry de coliflor plates were our favorites. And the dessert « tres leches » was really good, not too sweet and light ✨ Thank you !

The food is mostly good! Some dishes are way better than others, see my pics and emojis. However neither the food, service nor the atmosphere justifies elevated prices. Therefore 4 stars. Don't get me wrong, I would and will come back for the food, now I know what to order. The Maracuja cheesecake was exceptional.

Eaten here many times and it’s always spectacular. Recently did the cooking class with Tomas and Raffa and it was one-of-a-kind. Food and service is top notch

The staff were so helpful and kind and the food was amazing. We tried several things on the menu and loved them all.

Great food and a lovely setting. We enjoyed the mixed ceviche, the empanadas, and the cauliflower (my favorite) were a hit. The scallops were okayish (while beautifully presented, I wasn’t a big fan of the foam cheese as it took away from the flavors and made them colder). The deserts (très leches and chocolate cake) were just fine.
