Yakumanka

It was my first experience in this restaurant and I truly loved it! Our waiter Paulina took great care of us, she had attention to detail, suggested perfect dishes to try and looked after us though-out the whole dinner. There are many Peruvian restaurants in Barcelona but this one is a must try!

We love Peruvian food, and we really enjoyed our visit to Yakumanka. We had all the classical dishes, and of course I had a chicha morada. I know there are quite a few Peruvian restaurants in Barcelona, but Yakumanka is owned by Gaston Acurio, and that means the best quality of the food you can get. Our waiter; Jonathan was very service minded and polite. Next time in Barcelona, we will -of course- eat here again.

We ordered the Experiencia Yakumanka because it was recommended by the staff. It turned out to be the most expensive option, and honestly it was not worth the price. The wantacos were very good. The seafood was fresh and smooth. The conchitas were also good and better than expected. The cebiche limeño was authentic, but for me it was a solid four out of five. The tiradito ponzu rocoto was the best dish in the whole menu. For the main course, we chose the Chinese Peruvian fusion pork. This was the worst dish of the menu for me and I would not choose it again. I really recommend picking the ventresca al ajillo limeño instead. The chocolate mousse was extremely sweet. As an Asian diner, I could not finish it. Overall, I regret choosing the tasting menu. I do not think it is worth the price. Ordering à la carte would be a much better choice.

Had an amazing meal at Yakumanka, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! We tried the ceviche (selviji) — incredibly fresh, vibrant, and full of that perfect citrus kick. Every bite felt like a burst of Peru on the palate. 🇵🇪✨

We love going to this restaurant because it was very relaxing and they had fantastic food and ambience. The tiradito was the best we’ve ever had, paired with a Chaufa and ceviche, you really cannot go wrong with this place! We also highly recommend trying their homemade drinks as they are very authentic.

Definitely the best peruvian food in Barcelona. Visiting here every couple of weeks. Classical ceviche, anticucho de corazon, lomo saltado and tres leches are must tries.

The experience was overall positive both for the food and the ambience but the portions are rather small and the dishes are expensive and if you want to eat to your satisfaction or try different things the bill will be above average.

Totally delicious experience all round!!! The food was incredible and the service was great. We had the ceviche criollo, tiradito ponzu rocoto, empanada de carne, taco de atun and more.. just wow!😍

I was visiting Barcelona for the weekend and is a good Peruvian. I decided to stop by and try this place since Gaston Acurio is one of my favorite chefs! I was able to get a reservation online, which was very helpful so we didn't have to wait when we got there. The place is nice and has a lot of seating. There are multiple proving decorations based on the coast area, which makes it feel like a restaurant in Lima. We ordered the ceviche, causa acevichada, lomo saltado, ají de gallina, and cau cau de mariscos (our waiter told us the cau cau would be picante de mariscos, which wasn't true so that was a bit disappointing). The ceviche was incredible! Very fresh and true to the original limeña recipe. The causa acevichada is what took the crown!!! The causa was the most delicious one I've ever had, and the acevichado sauce was just like back in Lima. The cau cau was okay, nothing out of this world. The ají wasn't great, which was unfortunate as I have tried ají de gallina at other Acurio restaurants and they were so much better. The lomo saltado was spectacular. The sauce was perfect and the meat was cooked just as it should be. The potatoes were outstanding! I also got a chilcano de maracuyá which was very good. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here when in Barcelona. Please do try the causa acevichada and lomo saltado - you will not be disappointed!

Incredible service and incredible food. My friends took me here for a birthday lunch and we were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. We were craving some good Peruvian so we opted for this tiradito, ceviche, causa, and arroz con pato and it was worth it. As an aperitivo, they brought out crunchy corn (choclo) and a pretty spicy salsa (that we ended up asking for more of). All of the sauces that came with the food... we could have bathed in them. We chose to try the ceviche combinado (seasonal fish, fried fish, choclo, sweet potato, and yellow chili leche de tigre. Our tiradito was a ponzu rocoto with red tuna, herring eggs, avocado, smoked mayo, and ponzu. Causa is a peruvian specialty, with layers of mashed potato with either chicken or fish (we got it with tuna)- the causa de tartaré de atún was a red tuna with a garlic sauce. The cocktails (including pisco sours) were great too! Honestly I would have had multiple meals here if I didn't have FOMO about being in Spain and not eating Spanish food. The service was so accommodating. Our server made great recommendations for our food choices, and was happy to move us to a bigger table as more friends joined. They brought out the cake with a birthday candle in it, and it was delightful. A thousand times YES to recommending this, even if you're hesitating about eating something other than Spanish cuisine while visiting. One of the best meals of our trip.

Love the ambiance! Love the food! I absolutely love this restaurant. It's casual and chill yet super cute. We ordered ceviche mixto, croquetas, causa, and lomo salteado. Everything was delicious! Our favorite dish was the lomo salteado and the ceviche. The ceviche was so tasty and jam packed with flavor. It had shrimp, mussels, fish, sweet potato, and calamari. They also serve this spicy sauce when you sit down and it matches with everything they serve. I definitely recommend lunch here. Make sure to make a reservation!

The wonderful ambience and the amazing service made my family and I's night. We ordered many beverages that complimented our dishes perfectly. This restaurant offers an unique experience of a Japanese Spanish fusion that was quite amazing. Every dish we ordered was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who is exploring the Barcelona area.

My favorite restaurant in Barcelona. Every dish explodes with flavor, and the ingredients couldn't be fresher. When you're all tapa'ed out, Yakumanka is not to be missed.

This was my first time in Barcelona and I did not expect my favorite restaurant in Barcelona to be a Peruvian restaurant! The restaurant itself was new, very clean, with beautiful decor. We got about 6-7 dishes and each dish was better than the last! We went with a friend who lives in Barcelona and she ordered everything for us so I unfortunately do not know the names of the dishes that we got. But everything they brought out was a 10/10 so I have confidence in the whole menu being really good. You have to end the meal with their Tres leches - the best dessert I had in Europe (and I went to Rome, Paris, and Venice). I think I might have to go back to Barcelona to just to eat at this restaurant again....for a week straight haha. Our server was Alexis, he was great and super helpful in explaining the menu to us. He also recommended a passion fruit drink off their menu and that was really good! If you ever visit Barcelona it would be worth it to make a trip to Yakumanka!

We ate at some amazing spots in Barcelona, all highly recommended from local friends and by far Yakumanka was our favorite. Seriously delicious food that is authentic, fresh and beautiful. Don't get me wrong, all of the tapas spots were fabulous it's just that this can't be beat...that says a lot seeing as this is Peruvian in Spain ;-) Run, don't walk to Yakumanka!
