On the Grid : Yalla

"Yalla (the sister stall to Fred’s Meat & Bread) is billed as modern Middle Eastern food, but you might just call it delicious. If you aren’t already a fan, you will be. The food is super fresh and healthy and they also feature low sugar sodas handcrafted from local and seasonal ingredients. Yalla is located in Krog Street Market." - Brand Bird

Yalla - Review - Inman Park - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"If you’re in a hurry for lunch and in the mood for some good Middle Eastern food, this is the place to hit since you’ll typically get your food within seconds of ordering. The juicy chicken shawarma pita is the move at Yalla, a Middle Eastern spot from the folks behind their Krog Street Market neighbor, Fred’s Meat & Bread. The pita is the size of a frisbee and packed with fried eggplant, hummus, pickles, and a good drizzle of tahini, so you'll walk out with plenty of food for $12. Order a refreshing housemade cucumber mint soda and post up at one of the market's communal tables, or take it to go if you're in a rush to get back to the office during lunch." - Jacinta Howard

Google
Tried Yalla for the first time and I’m hooked. The falafel wrap was AMAZING (I removed the lettuce, but added pickles, sauces, and hummus…super fresh and crispy, and the hummus was chef’s kiss. Quality and flavor in every bite. It’s inside Krog Street Market, so the vibes are awesome—great energy, cool crowd, and plenty of spots to hang out and enjoy your food. Fast service, chill atmosphere… definitely coming back for more!

Google
Friendly service at Yalla. We saw them making the hot wraps so wanted to try. Wish they were still hot when you order because that would be fire. Overall a solid lunch. I got the eggplant so it was healthy and delicious. Would order again.

I stopped by for lunch on Tuesday, 2/4/25, at 12 pm. This is a stall inside Krog. You can eat your food on the tables in the main area. There was no line and our orders were ready very quickly. Here’s what I got, prices according to my receipt: - Chicken Shawarma Laffa ($15): Delicious! Definitely spicy. So much flavor. All the ingredients tasted so fresh. - Fries ($6): This came with so many fries! Thick and good. It’s definitely pricey, but well worth it. I was so full after and had leftover fries.

Google
Delicious chicken shawarma pita, and falafel (forgot to take a pic of the falafel). The chicken was well-seasoned, the pita was fresh and soft, the toppings were crisp, and the creamy sauce was flavorful. Generous portion—definitely recommend.

Google
It was ok. Felt like the food was missing something. 6/10 in my opinion

Google
Not the Yalla I remember. It has certainly gone down hill. I use to adore this salad for lunch. Even though it was 15 bucks I spent my money because it was filled with herbs, beets and beautiful lettuce. Now it’s the same price, drenched in sauce and the lettuce of the 3dollar salad from Lidils. I’m not impressed and the owners need to take a look at the mush their associates are slopping together

Google
Had a great experience eating lunch at Yalla. The staff was very friendly and gave good recommendations for the meal. We got an Olive plate (which included pickles, capers, and cauliflower pickled as well), a falafel plate, falafel pita, and a chicken schwarma pita. The only slight critique I would give was the chicken schwarma pita was a bit heavy on the pickles inside, so keep that in mind if someone in your family doesn’t like them. The falafel’s were fried fresh in front of us. They were served in very nice containers. The only thing I gave a four star was the atmosphere. You have to pay to park (4.00 for one hour) and then there was no seating available on a weekday at 12:30 so that was a bummer. Everything else was awesome. Keep on, Yalla!

Google
The quality of the food here seems to really be on the decline lately. Recently had a falafel and while it was huge, it was incredibly dry and lacked flavor. It was honestly one of the worst falafel pitas I’ve ever had. Bummer as once upon a time the place was phenomenal.

Yelp
Yalla at Krog street was a winner. Great food and flavor. The wings were very yummy. The sandwich was huge and was almost enough for two people. The chicken was tender and the fries added to the filling. Awesome food and nice staff. Definitely stop by for food when you're on the beltline

Yelp
I've been coming to Yalla every so often for years and it's been a while since my last review! First things first, their falafel is some of the best you'll find in the city. It's perfectly herbaceous and crispy and just a delight to the tastebuds, truly. If I'm going to Krog, I'll usually try to stop by Yalla for a side of falafel. The last few times I've gone, I've ordered the chicken shawarma salad bowl, which is just okay... not my fave. I used to love the bowls, which came with your choice of protein, hummus, labne, chopped cucumber and tomato, pickles, and, if I recall correctly, a choice of sauce. I know I preferred zhug more than tahini. It might have even come with tahini as well though. Anyway, the menu has changed a bit over the years, because now all the bowls are salad bowls with lettuce (don't remember right now but pretty sure it's iceberg) and ranch labne. No option of a sauce, even though I could likely just ask for zhug and no lettuce. But that kind of defeats the purpose. Needless to say, I preferred the bowls the way they were previously. I love a good salad, but in this case, I don't think the lettuce adds anything to the flavor. If anything, I think it actually diminishes it a bit. I think the pita or laffa options would be better. I just tend to go for bowls. Service is generally fairly quick and the food is consistent with what you expect. The waiting area in front of the counter can get a little crowded from all the surrounding restaurants, but if you know what to expect it's fine. If you like falafel and other Middle Eastern food, Yalla is worth trying out for sure.

Yelp
Oh my! This is the fastest I have EVER left a review on a restaurant. The chicken shawarma laffa was the most incredible that I've had since Asia travels. The flavors.. great! The size... huge! Ingredients.. fresh Had falafel and fries on the side- best choices! Fries were think and salted; falafel was crisp and tasty. Damn, thank you Yalla! Apologies that I walk past the stall all the time.

Yelp
I eat here often after going to dancing dogs yoga. It is a delicious middle eastern place in KSM. I always get the laffa with the fried eggplant and add lamb. It's an absolutely wrap that normally lasts me two meals. The eggplant is perfectly fried and not soggy, the lamb is juicy tender and well seasoned. I love that the wrap has a large amount of vegetables and greens. I always forget what each ingredient is but the staff is always happy to explain things to me and offer suggestions as needed. There's lots of Vegan and vegetarian options if you just omit the yogurt.

Yelp
Decided to come to Krog street market on a Sunday afternoon and grab some dinner!! I had never eaten there before despite living in Atlanta for so long so it was great to walk around krog!! Parking is easy as I just chose to parallel park in a nearby neighborhood. After walking around, I settled on Yalla because I adore Mediterranean food!! I got the chicken shawarma bowl and it came out super quickly! The guy at the counter was really friendly as well. Brought the bowl home and gave it try! It is an absolutely jam packed bowl so be prepared for lots of food. Overall the bowl was good just a couple complaints. With tip I walked out for just under $20 which felt steep for me. The bowl was good but it did feel like some of the flavors were competing vs mixing with each other but overall the bowl was good!

Yelp
Yalla is incredible. The Sabich was absolutely delicious and that is super hard to find in America. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Bad quality, these people are not natives and they do not know Middle Eastern food at all. Taste bad, and it was also bad service. Don't even bother going here! Terrible food!

Yelp
Not sure what happened but my bowl was half full of lettuce. I've ordered several times from Yalla but this might be my last if this is their new bowl. Sparse on the chicken too. What a shame.

Yelp
I was so hungry and decided to try Yalla's Shwarma wrap. OMG it did not disappoint! It was so flavorful, juicy, hearty, and not messy due to the double wrapping. Plus it was ready in 2 mins. Next time I'm at Krog St. I'll get it again.
google avatar

Yelp
Good overall. The flavors and sauces in the falafel bowl were delicious, but the falafel itself was hard and the texture was too dry. The minute steak was really well seasoned, but was served cold. I might ask for it warmed up next time.

Yelp
Really good Mediterranean food. I ordered the chicken shawarma laffa (a wrap). It was HUGE! So tasty though! I also ordered a falafel plate and they were delicious. My husband got the lamb. He said it was good but he felt like it was a small portion. We came on a Saturday around 4pm and it wasn't too crowded. The guy working there was soooo nice! So 5 stars for him! Parking was hectic but there's a structure you can park at that's pretty pricy though

Sha B.

Yelp
I don't ever leave bad reviews but I am so disappointed. We have been coming to Yalla for many years and recommend it to everyone. Came in today. The servers were rude. We were served cold, barely filled pitas. Basically mixed lettuce , sauce a half teaspoon of Israeli salad, skimp protein and sauces. I'm sad because if this is the new yalla I will never come back!
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
I just got a chicken schwarma bowl. I said too saucy earlier but now I understand why. My wife always orders from here and tells them "sauce on the side"!!

Yelp
This is a shop inside Krog, we order the baba ganoush. The service was good, the employees were nice and came out relatively quick. We ordered it with extra pita but it looked different than normal pita. There was too much tahini in the actual baba ganoush and even more tahini on it. Maybe it is just personal preference, but I just don't enjoy that much tahini. I wish you were able to taste the eggplant and that maybe an olive oil finish rather than the tahini. Most likely we got the wrong thing, but I would not personally recommend the baba ganoush.

Yelp
Revisited Yalla a couple years later and it is still solid. The concept is basically fast casual Mediterranean (although I think it might be more specifically Israeli based on what they call some of their items) and they offer various a la carte dips as well as several entrees that comprise a protein plus various toppings/sauces that you can have in either pita, laffah, or bowl form. The first time I came I had the shouk, which is a huge hearty bowl of food (had it in bowl form). The sabich (in pita form) last time was ok but not the best sabich I've ever had. This time I had the chicken shawarma bowl, which is basically exactly the same as the shouk except minus the fries and plus some fried eggplant. It was a VERY filling, very flavorful lunch. The chicken is tender and flavorful, and all the add ins go great together. The harissa is slightly but not overly spicy (honestly, the heat is barely noticeable but the flavor shines). The bright tang of the peach amba and the pickles is very necessary to balance out the richness of the hummus and tahini. If I had one note, it's that I wish there was more of the chopped salad in the bowl to increase the fresh crunch to creamy richness ratio. This may not look like a huge meal but it will END YOU so make sure you come hungry! I am generally a monster when it comes to food but I actually needed a nap after this one. The folks working there today were so lovely as well. I think next time I will try the salatim.

Yelp
One of the food stands inside Krog St Market, its arabic/ middle eastern spot. Gotta say, the first time I ever had arabic food- it was pleasantly surprising. Never had israeli salad before but I can tell you its good! I got the Chicken Schwarma BOWL. Theres salad smeared on the outside of the bowl. Filled with chicken, israeli salad, fried eggplant, harrissa and tahini sauces. Super simple menu but lots of exciting sauces/spreads to try out. Recommend? Yes! Don't be afraid to try something new Return? Yes
google avatar

Tal N.

Yelp
Great food, reminds me of getting shawarma in Israel. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.

Sarah W.

Yelp
This is an Israeli place and it completely missed the mark on Middle Eastern food. If you're used to Arabic food, you will notice that the combinations are very strange, that's cause it's not an authentic Arabic place. Not only have they confused Arabic spices and flavours with Indian, the meat is very chewy and difficult to eat. Very low quality and always barely lukewarm. I would not recommend and if You want Arabic food I would highly recommend going to a legit Arabic restaurant.

Kimberly K.

Yelp
Baba ganoush was mostly tahini. There was no eggplant flavor other than from the two slices of eggplant on top

Yelp
------ATMOSPHERE------ It is located in Krog Street Market so if you like the hustle and bustle, you will love coming here. ------FOOD & DRINKS------ Falafel plate - 4 falafels with some salad and labneh (ask for no labneh if you are vegan!). They were dry but not bad. ------PRICE------ Falafel plate - 6 dollars WOULD I COME BACK? Yes, I want to try other items on their menu

Yelp
Ok, so part of my disappointment here was my fault. I was disappointed that I couldn't have ramen which is what I was craving and when I'm disappointed I want comfort food.. which for me, is middle eastern food. I was also pregnant and starving so I needed something close, the closest was yalla. I have eaten here many years ago but never went back which kind of set the stage for me. I had my husband go pick up my bowl and color me surprised when I realized, OMG KILLME, THERE IS NO RICE. How should I have a comfort food shawerma bowl with no rice?! I guess I just assumed the bowl would come with rice but alas, there is nothing about rice on the menu. The flavors of everything are good but I feel it's poorly executed in the bowl. I could see about 3 different dips in the bottom of the bowl but it was so hard to get to them and each bite was completely different; I had no idea what I was going to get next. There was a lot more chicken than there was everything else and I found myself eating around it to try and get to other things. I would have preferred the bowl all separated into a mezza plate so I could have a little of this, a little of that. Instead it was just one big mashup of eggplant, chicken, chopped salad and every dip we offer. Individually it was all delicious. I will give them another try and maybe change it to a laffa next time.
google avatar

Don B.

Yelp
I literally can't say enough good things about Yalla. The food here is off the charts good. I almost always get the chicken schwarma laffa. This is basically a Middle Eastern burrito with chicken and various toppings. They also have some tasty sodas and it looKs like they have fries now! I'll have to try those next time. The only thing I wouldn't ordeR again is the desert. It looks like a cake but it tastes nothing lIKe cake. If you want to try it, maybe get one for your table and everyone can have a taste.

Yelp
Located in the Krog Street Market, Yalla presents a menu of Israeli-inspired eats served in a pita, a laffa wrap, or a bowl. My favorite part of any Israeli meal is the salatim, or freshly-prepared vegetable dishes, and an order of the Salatim Bowl here came with a huge selection including hummus, chopped cucumber/tomato salad, pickled cauliflower, tahini coleslaw, roasted red peppers, watermelon radish, and my favorites, the marinated mushrooms and the roasted sliced carrots, which had a fascinating chewy texture. The array of vegetables were piled into a bowl and topped with tahini and cilantro, and the pita bread that came on the side made for a great accompaniment to the hummus in particular. I also tried the Lamb & Beef Kebab bowl, which came with a freshly grilled ground lamb/beef skewer served along with baba ghanoush, chopped salad, spicy green zhug, and fried eggplant slices. The standouts from this bowl were the hearty meat skewer and the fried eggplant (though it was on the greasy side), and everything went nicely with the thick, spicy harissa sauce that came on the side!
google avatar

Allison M.

Yelp
Great little spot in krog. One of my favorite things about it is that they don't offer a ton- basically they specialize in a few things and then just sell affordable (for the area) and delicious combos of that. They offer three sizes and it's pretty to decide. The pita is personal, the laffa is if you're hungry or sharing and want their bread and the bowl is a bit healthier (sans bread). I love the falafel but friends have enjoyed others too. Fast service and kind workers.
google avatar

Katie J.

Yelp
In Kroger street - I've been here before but didn't leave a review so here's a review this time. I tried "the shouk" bowl because it comes with fries. The one ingredient I overlooked was harissa which made the bowl pretty spicy for me. It was also kinda salty. I can't get this item next time because I have zero tolerance for spice. I would like to try the other items since I recall liking this place the first time.
google avatar

Yelp
I had my mouth fixated on a falafel laffa when my cousin and I decided to visit Krog Street market for lunch on Saturday afternoon. I must say I was thoroughly satisfied with the filling and the falafel itself. What I wasn't too thrilled about was the price of $13. While I was already expecting having to pay this amount, I had hoped a side or drink would've accompanied the main dish. Very enjoyable though!
google avatar

Dana O.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this place out but it fell short of expectations. I tried their chicken shawarma bowl which was I believe $12. It came out very quickly and service was nice. Although the chicken was soft, it was lukewarm and relief heavily on sauces for flavor. The hummus was very plain and the redder spicier sauce lacked flavor which left just spice. I wish it came with more veggies as I felt my bowl was basically only chicken, especially towards the end. The sauces were rimmed along the inner part of the bowl, which was innovative but also a very thin layer. I dont see myself coming back for the chicken shawarma.
google avatar

Yelp
3-3-2021 I've given this place many chances since my first review which was 5 stars, been coming here for years. But this blatant shortage of food to the customer for the same amount is highway robbery! I will never come here again. I'm so done with this place from the horrible customer service to now the food portion. I drove a hour away for a dog bowl portion of food lol never again!

Yelp
Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: Krog Street Market Value: 2/5 ------ Stopped by this place for a quick bite to try a few places here in the market, and got the chicken shawarma bowl. Did not realize it would not come with no pita or rice or any sort of grain/starch, but this was my fault. Definitely would have helped, because the food was so salty! Lots of flavors, but I was hoping for something more bright and fresh, what I got was something oily and salty. Really heavy, which may be what you're looking for, but for a mediterranean bowl, I was expecting more nuanced flavors. The portion was a decent size, we definitely could not finish it given the heaviness of the food. Service was fine and fast, appreciated their help.

Yelp
Wow okay this place is SO delicious. Yalla is located inside Krog Street Market. It has one of the best Mediterranean bowls in ATL for a great price. I ordered their vegetarian special bowl on a baba ganoush base. It had various marinated, grilled, and pickled vegetables including okra, cauliflower, and eggplants. This bowl was so unique and so flavorful. It really highlighted the flavor of each vegetable. I also added falafels for a dollar each. My boyfriend ordered the shouk bowl, which was basically a Mediterranean poutine haha. It came with beef shawarma and fries, along with some pickled vegetables. It was very delicious as well. I'm not giving five stars because of poor customer service and restaurant setting. The servers were a bit dismissive when talking to us. When I asked if I could add falafels to my bowl the person behind the register begrudgingly put it on my order. Furthermore they were very careless with our bowls and hastly put in the ingredients. Also since it is in the market it doesn't have great sitting situation... I wish it had a stand alone store! Overall would recommend the food but not the customer service.

Aimee L.

Yelp
I ordered from this place via door dash for the first time and it did not disappoint. I got the chicken shawarma plate but had made a note to take off a few things i don't like and the shop was nice enough to call me and give me options to substitute for other veggies so my bowl wouldn't get empty. The bowl was delicious, cant wait to try other items from here. 10/10

Yelp
They are located inside a booth at Krog Street Market. I really appreciate that krog has free parking, though it's limited, and offers free flat and sparkling water-- I feel like it encourages people to drink more water. I always get the same thing-- the "shouk" in a laffa. The laffa is key y'all. They warm it up and it's always soft with a little bit of doughy stretchy texture. It holds all of the ingredients inside really well and it is much bigger than the pita portion so you well definitely be satisfied and full. Service is always courteous and the order is usually ready within 10-15 minutes or so of ordering. Really tasty and consistent in flavor and ratio of. Yum. I originally intended to give this place 5 stars, but I went back recently and the food was kind of disappointing. After waiting the usually time of about 15 minutes, my food was cold, fries were mushy, and the overall taste wasn't that good/seemed off. Really disappointed because I live a minimum of 40 minutes away (without traffic) and was really excited to eat here again ))):

Yelp
I really wanted falafel, and they were out. I went around 11:30. To be out of falafel tells me they are definitely not making it fresh because there's no way they were already sold out that early. So, maybe the falafel would have been a better experience. I ended up getting a shawarma. It was fine. Nothing special. The service was insanely slow. It was before the lunch rush and I waited nearly 25 minutes for 1 pita. It was ok, but there are way better options at Krog.

Yelp
TL;DR: Your order is made in no time at all. So if you're in the area and looking for a quick Mediterranean spot, give this place a try. You can take it to go, or sit inside/outside and enjoy your meal. Parking: The Krog Street Market has a paid lot that you can park in. If you don't want to pay, you'll have to park on the street in a neighborhood close by. COVID policies: You are required to wear a mask inside of Krog Street Market (KSM). Staff was also wearing masks. Service: Your food is done in no time, and the staff quickly answered all my questions about the menu. Seating: There are tables to sit and stand at inside of KSM. But I went at night (around 7) and it was crowded. The patrons inside were barely wearing masks, so I opted to eat outside. There are tables outside that are decently spread out. Food: Mediterranean is my favorite, so I was excited to try this place. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Bowl, Hummus Plate and Tarragon Limeade. Overall the food was pretty good. It's worth a try but not the best I've had. *Chicken Shawarma Bowl - The bowl was nicely presented and filling. I had leftovers. The fried eggplant in the bowl was a little salty, so make sure you have some water near to wash that down a bit. Also order a side of pita with the bowl. It'll help cut down on the explosion of flavors in the bowl. *Hummus Plate- the plate was just okay. You can skip it. If you do order it, the amount of pita that comes with it is not enough, so you'll need to order extra. You get a good amount of hummus, so it's best that you order it and share it with others. *Tarragon Limeade - This soda had a very light fizz, and was slightly sweetened. It was pretty refreshing!

Yelp
I'd had Yalla set as one of my bookmarks, and even after having Mediterranean the night before, I was game to get some more of those great fresh mediterranean flavors. Yalla was busy on a friday lunch hour at Krog, but I braved the line and ordered. I got one of their best sellers, and tried their Chicken Shawarma Pita dish ($8) and this thing was BIG! Inside the pita came hummus, fried eggplant, babaganouh, israli salad and pickles all topped with Tahini sauce and stuffed in a pita. The chicken were in nice little strips, juicy and flavorful, and the flavors were also popping with fresh flavors. What I didn't like about the pita is each bite was completely different. Often the meat would spill out and some bites would have no meat at all, others would only be the salad or eggplant, and I do wish the Pita was more uniform. Having a nice chewy chicken mouthful was much more appealing than a mushy salad one. Staff was actually super nice and after I asked off handedly if they used flaxseed in their orders, they responded with no, but they did rattle off several items that I may be allergic to, and even put a lot of garnish and sauces on the side just in case I reacted. Located right next door to Fred's Meat and Bread, this area can get congested. There's no seating at Yalla, like at other locations in Krog Street, although there's community seating all over the place, which I took advantage of. I don't know whether or not their Laffa or bowl would've provided a more uniform mouthful or not, and if I come back and try either, i'll be sure to update my review. For now, it's a solid 3.5 stars for me, but no rounding yet. I do think it's a unique lunch option in Krog Street Market and it may be your place to stop by if you're looking for Mediterranean bites.

Yelp
Absolutely fresh and tasty eats! Yalla is one of my sister's favorite spots so we went here for lunch. It was a hard pick too considering all the different food options at Krog Street Market. They had me at Baba Ganoush! Ordered the baba ganoush, chicken schwarma laffa and falafel laffa. For the main items, you have a choice of getting the meals with a pita, laffa or bowl. The laffa is a traditional Middle Eastern bread, it reminds me of a thinner Naan bread. Everything was very tasty and full of flavor. The laffa bread was perfectly thin and soft. We got pita triangles to dip with our baba ganoush and it was fluffy but too thick and bready. I'm happy we went with the laffa option. The presentation on the baba ganoush was very pretty. The laffa portions were huge so you can share or have leftovers.

Yelp
Came here on a break! Fast service, great prices, friendly customer service! And best part the food is super delicious! I ordered the chicken shawarma pita. Sooo much flavor in every bite! And a huge portion. I could only eat half. Enjoyed the other half later and it was still super tasty! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Y'all this place is the bomb. When reviewers say this taste like authentic Mediterranean food, they aren't lying! This stall is hiding in Krog Street market with a large array of food options both meat and vegetarian. Although Krog Street Market opens earlier, Yalla opens at 11:30 which I guess makes sense because who eats Mediterranean food for breakfast? I guess I was extremely excited to try this place because I was ready to EAT! If you come to the market with an appetite, this is the place to go and definitely order their Mediterranean bowls. I ordered their shawarma bowl which was filled with all the amazing components of Mediterranean food that you could ever wish for. It had deliciously seasoned chicken with salad, pickles, fried eggplant and the bowl was coated with hummus and baba ganoush. Every bite was flavorful and unique, and my mouth was in heaven! I may be biased, but I have to say this is my favorite place in Krog Street market despite the fact that this is the only place I was able to try during my time in Atlanta. For hummus/ Mediterranean food enthusiasts like me, this is the place to go!

Yelp
Yalla is healthier than many of the other delicious options at Krog. That's what I tell myself to assuage my guilt every time I eat here. The bowls are satisfying, the laffas (essentially big pita roll sandwiches) are large, and I'm satisfied every time I eat here. I usually get the bowl as they're not too expensive and have sufficient quantity and diversity in composition. My one caveat: sometimes their food can be a little too salty and exacerbate thirst. It's unpredictable, but lately they've toned it down. Stay hydrated.

Yelp
After getting over my dumplings the Gu's dumplings, I decided to stop at Yalla and have a falafel. They offered falafels in a pita, bowl or platter. I ordered a pita. It was served on a tray and I took it to a table to dive in. It was one of the better falafel pitas I have had in Atlanta. NYC, has some of the best outside of the middle east. Anyway, this one had pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, humus, I think baba, and much more. It was wonderful and my partner agreed with me. Maybe a little hot sauce would have made it perfect but I did not ask. I think it was 8 dollars for the falafel pita. Well worth it and more. I will return and try more of their menu.

Yelp
Wow, what a wonderful weekend it was down at Krog Street Market. I tried a bunch of food, had lots of laughs and even better company. Yalla was the second place I tried out. Everything looked so wonderful so of course I was excited to try this one out! I'm a bread girl, and the pita and laffa did not disappoint. However, I wish the chicken was more flavorful. My laffa was jam packed with vegetables and various creamy textures such as humus and I think tahini sauce. Overall, it was pretty decent. I would love to go back and try something else on the menu. The soda was definitely different than anything I've ever tasted before.

Yummy! If you enjoy Greek food this is a wonderful place to go! Falafel was full of flavor and the price and portion size is on point

Yelp
I had finally visited Krog Street Market (KSM) and so decided to try out Yalla. KSM has most of its restaurants set up so that you order you food and sit down at the shared dining benches indoors or outdoors. KSM was busy, but there weren't any lines too long at each individual restaurant. Yalla is set up 'Chipotle' style where you can order a wrap/bowl and then request what you want. One thing to note is that they prefer if you tell them what you want while you are ordering at the cashier compared to as you move along; there wasn't any crowd for us so it wasn't a big deal. I ended up ordering a chicken shawarma laffa which was about $15- a little expensive for a shawarma, but a good price for what you get, because you get a lot! I don't like too many things in my shawarma, so I just had it with the pickles, salad, and tahini sauce; I requested to have the other fillings come on the side which they gladly accommodated. Let me just say, they do not skimp on you here at Yalla! The sandwich alone weighed over 2 lbs! I tried the 'sides' first, and I liked the hummos and baba ghanoush. The grilled eggplant was good, but very greasy. The sandwich, or rather behemoth that I had ordered, was good too, but also rather greasy (mostly from the chicken and the laffa bread itself). I was pretty hungry, so this behemoth was satiating, but I would probably ask for it in a pita next time haha. Overall, I enjoyed my outing at Yalla and KSM and wouldn't mind eating here again, but I would probably go for either the kebab or falafel to avoid the excessive greasiness.

Yelp
My Chicken Shawarma bowl was really great. Before Yalla, I don't think I had ever tried Middle Eastern cuisine, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't love the fried eggplant- mine was a little cold- but everything else in the bowl was delicious! I think that just may be my personal preference :)

Yelp
Perhaps the most consistent stall at Krog Street. I have eaten at least five times now and it has been a great experience. They have a variety of options including beef, veggie, lamb etc. You can get those options in the form of a pita, a bowl, or a LAFFA. GET THE LAFFA. the texture of the laffa is great - a bit of a chewy consistency (think flour tortilla but thicker and chewier). It is large enough for two meals or perfect to share. My wife and I prefer the veggie option as the eggplant is on point! You can always pay for extras and we make sure to get extra eggplant. The beef option is also very solid. It is thinly sliced minute steak and you will not be disappointed if you are a meat eater. While there tends to be a line because it is made fresh to order , service is great and the line moves quickly.

Yelp
I've heard great things about Yalla but for some reason, always skipped it when choosing a food stall at Krog. I WILL NOT make that mistake again lol. I had the sabich luffa wrap. SO GOOD!!!!! The wrap was extremely flavorful and they have this "hot sauce" which isn't hot but is jam packed with spices. Adding that little bit of sauce took this wrap over the top. I have been craving it ever since...I'm fact, that's going to be my lunch today Do yourself a favor, and hit up Yalla next time your at Krog. You won't regret the decision.

Yelp
My go to is the Chicken Shawarma on a pita. I also love their cucumber lemonade soda handcrafted drinks. So good & picture-worthy! It's located inside of the Krog Street Market.

Yelp
This was such an awesome place that had a diversity of Mediterranean food + Vegetarian/Vegan options I tried the Tafafel w/Pita bread- I didn't take a great photo because it looked so amazing & I was beyond hungry. I ate alll of it & it was my first time trying that dish. The 3 dudes back there hooked up an Immaculate meal Hibiscus Ginger Grapefruit soda- was a burst of refreshness. It almost reminded me of a Komucha with less carbon I will most def be coming back.
