The 14 Best Restaurants on Miami Beach | Eater Miami

"With locations all over South Florida, it’s no surprise that there’s a Motek on South Beach. Located in the former Prime Fish space, this is one of those restaurants that works well for a quick bite or a leisurely meal with a large group. The Kosher-style menu features an array of hot and cold mezze dishes, as well as more hearty plates, including an award-winning Arayes Burger, chicken schnitzel, Turkish lamb kebab, and baby lamb chops. Plus, there’s an all-day brunch, with favorites such as the shakshuka, Israeli breakfast, and Jerusalem grilled cheese." - Amber Love Bond

Motek Aventura Review - Aventura - Miami - The Infatuation

"Motek is one of our , and their Aventura restaurant has an identical menu—plus cocktails (which the Downtown location doesn’t have). If you’re looking to sit down and have a leisurely meal at the Aventura Mall, you should do it here. There really aren't any misses on the Israeli menu, but the chicken schnitzel sandwich, shakshuka, and arayes burger always deliver. " - Ryan Pfeffer

Yalla Motek - Review - Aventura - Miami - The Infatuation

"Look for the word “yalla” in yellow neon lights. That’s where you’ll find Motek’s fast casual counter-service concept that lives upstairs in Avenura Mall's Treats Food Hall. This place serves delicious, overflowing falafel sandwiches. Their spicy waffle fries are big, crispy, and come with a tangy sauce. And their lamb hummus is creamy and zesty. This is some of the prettiest (and tastiest) mall food court food we’ve ever had. You can also build your own rice, hummus, or salad bowl. And if you’re worried you won’t hear when they call your name, don’t worry—they have a bullhorn." - Virginia Otazo

The Best Delivery Restaurants in Miami | Eater Miami

"Yalla, the newly opened counter-service outpost of Eater 38 favorite Motek inside Aventura Mall, is one of the best places in the city to get a Mediterranean fix. Dine on many of the restaurant’s best dishes in a casual bowl format, like the chicken shwarma, falafel, and crispy chicken schnitzel, all served with a choice of majadra rice, nana rice, or cauliflower couscous and topped with Israeli salad, hummus, and sumac onions." - Eater Staff

Google
Excellent Food!!! Delicious!! The price is fair and the size of dishes is enough. My husband and I tried the hummus bowl with crispy chicken and the hummus bowl with chicken shawarma. Both great options!! I really recommend to try this restaurant which is Mediterranean street food.

Google
Delicious Kosher Middle Eastern cuisine in the heart of the Adventura Mall. The waffle fries and each item on the menu is super flavorful and tasty. The area is clean and the workers are helpful. Honestly of the most unique Middle Eastern spots in the area. 10/10 recommend!

Google
Food is alright. The hummus was bitter. It was spiced well but tasted off. The pita was dry. The pocket was given hot but still dry. The service was slow. Too many orders received at one place. They need more employees.

Besides the wait being forever, I asked for assistance since no one was at the counter. I shared we wanted two sandwiches meat only with tahini. I asked was that ok… sure was the replied. Oh let me add I LOVE MOTEK and am ecstatic we have one in my neighborhood in South Beach. Well, it was disappointing and disastrous. The sandwich came with the fixings which I asked specifically to be left off. We had already driven to my friends home which meant we were stuck. I weighed the chicken on the sandwich and it was paltry considering the cost of each sandwich. The lemonade is good. It’s obvious there is also a managerial problem here. The young Argentinian woman worked the job of two. Plus there needs to be more help at the non self service kiosk.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Yalla Motek, and I have to say—it’s an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff, specially Yoselin set the tone for a fantastic experience. The menu is bursting with vibrant Mediterranean flavors, and everything we ordered was fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. The hummus was creamy and perfectly seasoned, and the lamb shawarma was tender and packed with flavor. I especially loved their attention to detail—the presentation was beautiful, and you can tell they really care about quality. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a full meal, Yalla Motek delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend to anyone craving Middle Eastern cuisine done right. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
I like their shawarma and the appetizers they offer! 😋 The food is a bit pricey for the portion size. It was a fun experience watching the machine slice the meat so neatly. I also had the falafel and breaded eggplant. Their falafel was tiny and not worth it. However, I liked it with the yellow sauce. #foodie #shawarma #eeeeat

Google
Yalla Motek offers an amazing concept with Israeli fast food. The schnitzels are delicious, although the texture was a bit hard, like frozen food with a warm outside. However, the rice bowl was fantastic. Overall, it's a great addition to the fast food scene!

Google
Make sure you visit the upstairs location of Yalla Motek, as I initially went to the bottom one which is not kosher, just kosher-style. Once inside the upstairs spot, I was in for an incredible experience. The food was absolutely delicious, transporting me straight to the flavors of Israel. As a designer, I couldn't help but notice and appreciate the attention they put into their branding – it's evident even on their bags. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and it was a delightful surprise. The chicken was light and airy, striking the perfect balance of flavor without being too dense. The real game-changer was the amba sauce – it truly set the sandwich apart and elevated the taste to a whole new level. The waffle fries were a revelation – perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. They were addictive and I couldn't get enough of them. To complement the meal, I opted for the Cold Mint Lemonade, or lemonana as it's commonly known. It was a refreshing and delightful beverage that beautifully complemented the flavors of the food. All in all, Yalla Motek not only serves up authentic and delicious Israeli cuisine, but they also pay attention to the details that enhance the overall experience. From the food to the branding, every aspect is carefully considered, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy an authentic taste of Israel. My visit was nothing short of fantastic, and I can't wait to return for another memorable meal. Five stars without a doubt!

Yelp
So we were at the Aventura mall and deceided to walk around the food court and just had to stop here again . There main Restaurant across from Apple Store is amazing , but we were in kinda of a rush . Limited menu but just fantastic ! Ordered the Lamb shawarma bowl with rice and salad w hummus easily enough for 2 if you like to share , and a crispy eggplant sandwich , even has 2 hard boiled eggs inside just amazing .
google avatar

Yelp
I really enjoyed my lunch. Everything was delicious! My mom suggested we try the crispy eggplant and it was an excellent choice. You do not miss the meat. The crispy eggplant is perfectly crisp and tasty with the fresh vegetables and hard boiled egg with some hummus plus a yellow sauce (not sure of the name). I would recommend trying it and I will definitely get it again. I also tried their Mint Lemonade that was refreshing and not overly sweet. Overall it was a good spot for lunch.

Yelp
I HATE to do this review but wow, this has to be the worst meal I've ever had and it pains me to say this because I've eaten here before. It was so bad I couldn't even eat most of it and had to throw it away I ordered the crispy eggplant wrap. The eggplant was most certainly not crispy, it was extremely soggy, there was no hummus whatsoever and no onions. The only thing I ate was basically the eggs. Everything else was terrible and a waste of money sadly

Yelp
Probably your tastiest option when eating at Aventura Mall. Highly recommend all of their sandwiches and bowls. Waffle fries are a must! All of the staff (front and end) are always smiling and enjoy their craft, translate into how delicious they make their food. Beautiful Mediterranean decor makes you feel like you're in a Tel Aviv Beach enjoying food with aba.

Yelp
Yalla Motek serves the best falafel pita I have ever had in South Florida. The falafel is fresh, the eggplant is crispy, and the veggies and sauces add a burst of flavor. Even better, the waffle-cut fries are the perfect pairing with the falafel. I know this place is in the food court in Aventura Mall but the restaurant is still well-kept and neat. I like their minimalistic branding with bright tones of yellow and blue that you can notice from a distance. I also like the fact that they have inverted mirrors so that you can watch them prepare your food from beginning to end. Service is quick and the staff was friendly during my last visit. This is a must-try place in my book!

Yelp
Located in Aventura Mall in North Miami, this Mediterranean counter service restaurant is part of the food court. I had the Salmon Shawarma bowl with veggie quinoa with the sauces $19. It was fresh, flavorful and delicious.

Yelp
If you ever venture to Aventura mall. If your kosher / make sure you visit the upstairs location of Yalla Motek, in the food court. You will be in for an incredible experience. The food was absolutely delicious, transporting me straight to the flavors of Israel. I couldn't help but notice and appreciate the attention they put into their branding - it's evident even on their bags. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and it was a delightful surprise. Yelp
Located in a mall food court, you'd never know. The food is fresh. You could see the lamb being freshly sliced. There are so many unique options. It was hard to choose. I went with the falafel pita. It was very tasty. We waited about 30 minutes for our food, though, which is weird when it's coming from a food court. By the time it came out, the pita was very soggy. However, it was tasty. The fries were pretty delicious. My mom got the lamb shwarma. She wasn't impressed, as it was also soggy and the pita fell apart. For her it was disappointing, especially when it costs $16, which is pretty steep at a mall food court. I'd love to try their other concept or something different from here next time I'm in this area. It's definitely unique to have in a food court, and if you want Mediterranean flavors, this is definitely the spot to check out.

Richa V.

Yelp
I took a rice bowl with crispy eggplant and the flavors hit the spot! This is the best Mediterranean food ever!
google avatar

Ishka B.

Yelp
Food was delicious. However, I asked for "no tahini" as I have a severe sesame allergy. The girl taking the order noted. I asked about another sauce and she told me they would put garlic aioli on the side. The order came, I asked one more time about tahini. I was assured it was garlic aioli on the sandwich. It was. But in the box was tahini that I mistook for aioli. My wife spotted it but not before I had eaten some. Now I wait. Update. Next day. Benedryl and a couple of hours of hives and fever. But I survived.
google avatar

Yelp
Located in the food court at the Aventura Mall, Yalla Motek is a small outpost of full service restaurant Motek (with locations in the mall and Coral Gables). Pick a bowl, pita, or salad and add a protein. I ordered a salad with chicken. Sounds simple but the dish was absolutely delicious. Great choice in the food court and makes me want to try other dishes at full service Motek!
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Food was excellent. I got the lamb shawarma rice bowl and the lamb was shredded and seasoned excellently. The taste of the rice was fantastic, and the humus was creamy and had great olive oil. I would recommend getting the spicy green sauce which had a ton of flavor. The salad pairing with the bowl was light and excellent. I would recommend getting the lafa/pita on the side. Chicken shawarma was good also, but I preferred the lamb. I liked this option better than the others, so far (I haven't tried all the food court options yet). Price was on the higher side, but you're going to spend money on a meal anywhere there unless you do chipotle. Anytime I go back to the aventura mall I will be coming here (although I would like to try my own arepa next door one time...)

Yelp
This review is strictly for the OWNER. You changed the price from $11:50 to $16 for the Shawarma with meat. You charge $3 for the beiruty bread as substitute for the Pita bread. You are already charging for the pita bread included in the price. That means that the beiruty bread cost the customer more than $3. I suggest that you give the customer the pita bread since the customer has already paid for that if they choose to get the beiruty bread. You also charge $5 for a small bottle of coke, really? On top of that you want the customer to pay 18% tip as minimum. If I am standing up and ordering my food, i am not willing to pay your employees salary. It is your job to pay their salary. You don't even offer tap water. I ended up paying $29 and change (btw they refused go take cash, you must be really joking. You loose customers as the leavs are falling from trees) or a greasy sandwich with drink. You must think that you are dealing with a bunch of idiots. This is simple math. SHAME ON YOU. I can say that to your face if you want me to do so. You should reconsider your way of doing business. P.S. I am not a fake account and I not a cocompetitor with the intention to leave a horrible review. Please take my advise and change your way of doing business. We have seen many like you in that mall to disappear in bankruptcy throughout the years.
google avatar

Yelp
Probably my favorite spot in the food court at Aventura mall. I always get the lamb shawarma bowl $19. Decent price for the amount of food you get. Love the flavor and it isn't too overly salty or spiced. You can order online but also find that it doesn't take too long for them to make when ordering at the register.

Ariel M.

Yelp
Nice food court in aventura mall food was pretty good had some trouble with uber eats but not their fault in fact they gave me a free lamb shawarma because of the trouble and my refund back!

Yelp
If you love eastern Mediterranean food and happen to be wandering the busy Aventura Mall treats food hall, Yalla Motek is DEFINITELY going to fill you up while respecting most of your dietary needs. This eastern Mediterranean street food spot is the baby to Motek (also in the mall). Rather than stuffing your face with fast food or burgers and fries, Yalla Motek is a fast, health conscious, vegetarian and vegan friendly, kosher spot with plenty of gluten free options. From pita sandwiches to rice bowls, delicious authentic hummus to salads, there's a little bit of everything for YALL(a)! My favorite was the falafel rice bowl that came with a little bit of everything! The fresh ingredients is was truly stood out to me! Despite it being very busy during lunch time, it was still a pretty fast service. If you don't have time to wait, you can order right from the app. From Jerusalem to Miami, they are a kosher-style Eastern Mediterranean restaurant with influences from their ancestors in Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Yemen and more. They source only the highest quality of ingredients and put all their love and care into every aspect of serving and delivering, in a clean, friendly, & happy setting always. That is their motto!

Yelp
Incredible flavor ! Mediterranean food is one of my favorite cuisines and this place may be my all time favorite that I've tried so far ! YALLA offers bowls, sandwiches, wraps and salads. I ordered their falafel rice bowl and it comes with Turkish rice (or quinoa), falafel, hummus, sumac onions, eggplant, red cabbage, chickpea, arugula salad and a shishito pepper. The falafel was the best I've ever had !! Cooked to perfection with a light crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. I'm not usually a huge cabbage fan, but it was dressed well, softened and wow .. incredible ! I guess I'm now a cabbage fan. The hummus in my bowl was so smooth, fresh, and flavorful. I wish I had more ! I seriously don't have any complaints and cannot wait to go back again. I'm hoping to make one more stop before leaving the area.
google avatar

Patricia R.

Yelp
I ordered falafel and hummus plate with mint lemonade. The flavor of the hummus and falafel was spectacular. What really made an explosion of flavors in my mouth was the sauerkraut and chimichurri. I also tasted the most amazing crispy eggplant. I would definitely ask for more sauerkraut and another crispy eggplant. The service was fast. I was able to find a table and seat right near the restaurant. One caution is that the chimichurri was spicy. I did not dare to try the green pepper that decorated my plate. Definitely coming back.

Josh L.

Yelp
Fantastic Mediterranean food! Very fresh and flavorful. Food cooked in front of you while you wait and comes fresh and hot! Kosher, too! Lots of gluten free options!
google avatar

Fenasi K.

Yelp
Tried the lamb shawarma... super salty, super greasy and cold. The baguette was $3 extra and does not worth it. It should be a free option... pita or baguette. Side sauces of hummus and yellow sauce (turmeric?) Were so little. My shawarma ended up being $20.50 and it's a rip off. I donot recommend this place.
google avatar

Ashley F.

Yelp
Delicious, just as good as the full service restaurant. I do prefer the lamb and salmon bowls but there was nothing wrong with the chicken.
google avatar

Jazmin R.

Yelp
Amazing mediterranean option in the Aventura Mall Food hall. The service is friendly & quick, perfect if you need to grab a light bite while shopping, the menu features sandwiches, salads, bowls and soft drinks. Great quality options, a simplified menu from Motek. My fave option!
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
Had a delicious meal here today! I had the lamb shawarma sandwich which was absolutely amazing. It was packed with flavor, the bread was so crunchy but also soft at the same time, the lamb was seasoned well, and the cabbage was tasty. My mom got a bowl with the crispy chicken and Turkish rice which was also just as delicious. The yalla fries were super crispy, hot, fresh, and the creamy/spicy sauce really added to them. Definitely don't forget to get the mint lemonade if you check this place out! The service was just ok it did take quite a while for us to get our food and the bags not having handles was bit of an inconvenience considering we also had to carry the drinks.

Thomas B.

Yelp
Always great staff at the counter and the food is fantastic. I get the eggplant on Jerusalem banquette, so huge that I take half home. Always good and consistent.

Julieta S.

Yelp
Food is amazing , service is a disaster. Manager doesn't pay attention to the customer's requirements , he delivers what HE wants . It's the 3rd time that that's happened to me. Knowing that that's happened all the time I advise the manager to pay attention to my order and. Again he decided for me adding onions and spices that I'm allergic to. I understand that is fast food but they should know that I pay for it was not for free. The crew in this place is a total disaster and downgrade the amazing food.
google avatar

Gina F.

Yelp
Amazing flavors. This restaurant is in Aventura Mall food court and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious and is a great option! The service was ok the food didn't take too long but it was in a busy mall so service or ambiance was not a huge factor.
google avatar

Adam M.

Yelp
I like this non-traditional take on the Sabich. The eggplant is coated in something that gives it a crispy crunch, and the salad and amba combine nicely, even if I wish the latter was the more traditional kind with chunks of mango instead of a sauce.
google avatar

Hani C.

Yelp
Fast, delicious, and healthy-ish? Today I ordered Yalla Motek for delivery and so glad I did! My falafel bowl was so fresh. Came loaded with Turkish rice, hummus, salad, charred onions, and of course perfectly crisp falafel. Ordered a side of their crispy eggplant and OMG, fell in love! Also had to hit a minimum for the promotion so opted for their spicy yalla fries - they were absolutely delicious too! My favorite part is that they're not stingy with their sauces (plenty of tahini, amba aioli, and ketchup). If you're considering giving this place a shot, this is your sign!
google avatar

Joseph C.

Yelp
A flavorful journey through the Mediterranean and Israel awaits at this food court gem! The falafel dances with perfection, and the hummus is pure indulgence. Delightfully delicious! Yalla Motek is another masterpiece from the people who brought us the "Motek" concept to South Florida.
google avatar

Yelp
I recently tried this place last week for the first time. Today was my THIRD time ordering from them! First two times I ordered in person. Today is my first time ordering via Uber Eats & they did not disappoint!!!! Food is fresh, tasty & healthy. All toppings are so fresh & perfectly seasoned. Especially love the red cabbage slaw. Both the chicken shawarma and the crispy chicken are incredible. Hummus is the best tasting hummus I think I've ever had, with a perfectly creamy texture. The pita tastes like it just came out of the oven, SO GOOD! Not sure if my review is clear enough but I think it's safe to say that I'm obsessed. I work walking distance away from the mall so I will most definitely be back many many times. Yum!!!
google avatar

Deborah K.

Yelp
Food was amazing and very fresh! Waitstaff were knowledgeable and friendly. I am gluten free and they went over the menu with me. We ordered the salmon schwarma, felafel plate and waffle fries. Would definitely go back!

Desi L.

Yelp
They don't accept cash. At an international mall. Where most tourists prefer to pay cash....... Hhmmmmm
google avatar

Rali K.

Yelp
Hands down the best sandwich I've ever had in my life! I've been to Yalla multiple times and it's always amazing! I get the crispy eggplant sandwich with the sesame baguette... Please if you ever go for the first time get the crispy eggplant with the sesame baguette and a lemonade! The sandwich hits you with so many flavors, the eggplant is crispy, there's boiled egg in it, some "secret sauce" that blends in with everything.. It's just the best! What made me a great impression is also how organized the staff is. There's always a line of people but the staff is fast and efficient! I hate my sandwich falling apart while I eat it but at Yalla you will never see your sandwich falling apart! Their staff is fast so you won't have to wait for a long time for your order, also they place your food in the bag with care, not just stuffing on top of everything and smashing your sandwiches. Yalla is an absolute must! If it's your first time, definitely go with a friend so you guys can watch each others reactions to the food! :D

Melanie G.

Yelp
Best food in Florida! So worth the price- definitely recommend!! I got the hummus falefel plate, so good with the pita. All the food was very very filling. Very worth the price!
google avatar

Kaz W.

Yelp
No complaints here! This spot in the mall served up a Salmon Shawarma and it was real good. The mint lemonade was good too with a little mint leaf garnish at the top.
google avatar

Ana W.

Yelp
came to the aventura mall, was starving and found this little store on the found court upstairs they have sandwiches rice bowls, hummus bowls, salad bowls, waffle fries, sweet and drinks for a reasonable price, place is decorated really cute with olive oil jars place looks clean delivery of food is fast, food is fresh the staff is friendly and the food is top notch, i love their pitas this time i ordered the lamb pita, if you are hungry for a great meal to eat meat yalla motek is the place to go in the aventura mall. it has hashgaja if you are looking for kosher

Lucia H.

Yelp
This restaurant is amazing!! The food is fresh, tasty and authentic. It's a hidden gem in Aventura mall. A must try!!
google avatar

Nereida R.

Yelp
Can we park here a minute and discuss their crispy egg plant with onions and sauce. Omg!!!! I'm truly a fan and their falafel was also very, very good. Fresh, homemade pita and Tahini sauce is a win. We ordered online and waited. Friendly staff and quick service. I'm so glad they are located in the food court since we need a better variety of food other than burgers and sandwiches.

David S.

Yelp
Shawarma baguette was everything i needed and more. It was so satisfying i inhaled it. I wish I could get the recipe for the Amba aioli.
google avatar

Ghazar K.

Yelp
$16 for a tiny bite of a small pita shawarma that is so tasteless that has to be smothered in some yellow sauce to give it a weird taste that had nothing to do with the taste of a real chicken shawarma. Not sure in which Mediterranean country they use they sauce to make chicken shawarma, but being of Lebanese heritage myself, this is not a chicken shawarma.

Beatriz K.

Yelp
Great food and customer service at the food court. Great food and service but a bit overpriced considering the size of the servings at the restaurant. Beautiful place
google avatar

Jacques B.

Yelp
I ordered a falafel sandwich on pita bread. It was delicious. The best falafel l ever had. They add some greens that make it very tasty. I highly recommend it. I will be back.

Ada N.

Yelp
Treat yourself to Yalla when in the Aventura food court. This is restaurant quality, fresh and delicious food. I had the quinoa bowl with chicken shawarma and it was amazing.
google avatar

Sandy T.

Yelp
Really excellent. Had a quinoa bowl with falafel and veggies. Delicious. Everything prepared fresh. Had to wait about 5 or 10 minutes because they were very busy. Worth it. I'm

Hervy H.

Yelp
Food good, service ok, ambiance neutral located at aventura mall. Price is a bit high but worth it.

Jorge M.

Yelp
I thought this was delicious. Lamb shawarma on a Jerusalem baguette, waffle fries. Falafel hummus bowl. All cooked to perfection. !!!!

J. W.

Yelp
I have eaten from New York to LA and this was by far the best falafel I have ever had!!

Danny C.

Yelp
I've probably ate here 10 times this past month The lamb shawarma is amazing and the prices are great, wish they gave larger portions of protein.
