The Best Restaurants for Affordable Dining in Portland, Oregon | Eater Portland

"This Alberta noodle shop takes its inspiration from Chinese American standbys — kung pao chicken, Mongolian beef — tossing them with wide noodles the restaurant makes in house. Yang’s lists most dishes between $12 and $16, with hearty servings of kimchi beef or sweet and sour chicken tossed among tangles of noodles." - Katrina Yentch

Just coming from Las Vegas. Very hungry. Glad to find this Chinese restaurant nearby. Wonton soup is very tasty. Lamb Jian ping was pretty good too.

It tastes really good❗️The pancake is crispy, the filling is generous, and the flavor is authentic with great layers in every bite. The staff is friendly, service is fast, and the place is clean and well-kept. Great value for money—I’ve already recommended it to my friends and will definitely come back again❗️❗️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely delicious and authentic Chinese street food! The Jianbing (煎饼果子) was crispy inside, and soft outside, and full of flavor — just like the ones I had in Beijing! The duck blood noodles soup (鸭血粉丝汤) was rich, comforting, and full of yummy duck ingredients with tender duck blood and silky noodles. And the spicy wontons (红油抄手) were so good— perfectly seasoned, handmade, with a mouthwatering chili oil that’s spicy but balanced. If you’re looking for truly authentic taste, this is the place. Everything was freshly made and reminded me of home. Highly recommended!

I keep coming back here. Sometimes, twice in the same week, lol dont judge! I find myself ordering something new, or I just stick with the spicy pork belly noodles and curry noodles. You can't go wrong with either choice! This is the best Chinese food I've had in the city. They make their noodles in-house! The rice is phenomenal and well balanced, not oily! The food, It's always fresh, like always! The staff is amazing, the place is always clean. Even though they are busy, the service is always quick. Go give it a try. Everyone I've ever recommended this place to has gone back! You won't be disappointed! See you on Saturday

This place is amazing! A hidden gem! I dined in. Very pleasant staff they even bring the food out to you. Delicious food with huge serving sizes. A lot of customization available for whichever meal or drink you choose. Excellent boba! Clean restaurant and easy to navigate ordering system. I’d definitely come back again if I’m walking around in the area.

Did not disappoint! Ordered the potato Jianbing, xiao long bao, pork belly noodles, and scallion pancake. Cafe was comfy. I stayed and chatted with a friend for a long time, and everyone else who came in seemed to take their food to go, so we had the dining area to ourselves really. Everything was delicious. I’ll definitely be picking up a jiangbing again soon.

I’m so glad we stopped by Yang’s Noodles. The Pork Belly noodles had a great texture that melts in your mouth, in a good way, and was packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat. I was expecting it to be super greasy and heavy but it was not at all! It was a great balance of flavor and texture. The portion was also huge! My favorite dish was the Spicy Crawfish Jianbing. It was a super fun sensory experience with the delicious crepe like wrap and the crunchy wonton on the inside. The filling was absolutely delicious savory and slightly spicy with a really delicious depth of flavor I didn’t expect! We will definitely be going here again and trying out some of the other menu options!
