The Best Restaurants for Affordable Dining in Portland, Oregon | Eater Portland

"This Alberta noodle shop takes its inspiration from Chinese American standbys — kung pao chicken, Mongolian beef — tossing them with wide noodles the restaurant makes in house. Yang’s lists most dishes between $12 and $16, with hearty servings of kimchi beef or sweet and sour chicken tossed among tangles of noodles." - Katrina Yentch

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely delicious and authentic Chinese street food! The Jianbing (煎饼果子) was crispy inside, and soft outside, and full of flavor — just like the ones I had in Beijing! The duck blood noodles soup (鸭血粉丝汤) was rich, comforting, and full of yummy duck ingredients with tender duck blood and silky noodles. And the spicy wontons (红油抄手) were so good— perfectly seasoned, handmade, with a mouthwatering chili oil that’s spicy but balanced. If you’re looking for truly authentic taste, this is the place. Everything was freshly made and reminded me of home. Highly recommended!

I keep coming back here. Sometimes, twice in the same week, lol dont judge! I find myself ordering something new, or I just stick with the spicy pork belly noodles and curry noodles. You can't go wrong with either choice! This is the best Chinese food I've had in the city. They make their noodles in-house! The rice is phenomenal and well balanced, not oily! The food, It's always fresh, like always! The staff is amazing, the place is always clean. Even though they are busy, the service is always quick. Go give it a try. Everyone I've ever recommended this place to has gone back! You won't be disappointed! See you on Saturday

I’m so glad we stopped by Yang’s Noodles. The Pork Belly noodles had a great texture that melts in your mouth, in a good way, and was packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat. I was expecting it to be super greasy and heavy but it was not at all! It was a great balance of flavor and texture. The portion was also huge! My favorite dish was the Spicy Crawfish Jianbing. It was a super fun sensory experience with the delicious crepe like wrap and the crunchy wonton on the inside. The filling was absolutely delicious savory and slightly spicy with a really delicious depth of flavor I didn’t expect! We will definitely be going here again and trying out some of the other menu options!

Got take out, duck giblets and vermicelli soup is good but I’m feeling it’s chicken giblets. Flavor wise it’s good.

I have now tried Yangs Noodles twice now and have been very happy with the results. The food was cooked relatively fast, and it had great flavor at a decent price. The menu has a variety of options fro. Rice to noodles, stir fry and soups, and lots of different tea options. Order on line and pick up or eat in the restaurant. Nice place, clean and friendly.

Wow wow wow! This place has singlehandedly restored my faith in good, no, GREAT noodles. The price to portion size is so good it could feed two people from one dish. Perfect for date night (as long as you don't mind getting messy) ❤️✨ The service was great, they were very attentive and can help you navigate the menu and spice level. Thank you!

This place has really good thick udon like noodles! I originally ordered the shrimp curry noodles but they werent as good as the other noodles my boyfriend got. Highly recommend getting the kimchi beef noodles and the spicy wontons in chili oil. The jianbing is okay though and the boba tea is on a little bit on the sweeter side. But overall, pretty good food here! Would definitely come back to try the other dishes!

Affordable and tasty eats, friendly and kind service and fast too! We had the chicken fried rice which was addicting and wonton noodle soup with chili oil. The staff even brought me extra broth for the soup! We’ll be back.
