Where To Eat At Yankee Stadium - New York - The Infatuation

"Listen, is the chicken bucket made with artisanal, previously happy chickens and thrice-fried potatoes? Absolutely not. Is it a good deal for $27 and exactly what you need after a long day of drinking beer in the bleachers? 100%. If you’re with two other people, the Yankee Stadium chicken bucket qualifies as a perfect amount of too much food." - will hartman

The Yankee Stadium tour started with some difficulties. Tickets could not initially be booked via the website. The reason: discrimination against European credit cards and addresses. We are from Germany and could not book because Ticketmaster.com – which sells the tickets – does not accept European payment methods. A Norwegian credit card with a German address was also declined. Telephone support was unavailable. We received an email reply stating that there was no other way to book. We then contacted Ticketmaster.com and somehow managed to get the credit cards activated for a transaction; but it cost us about 60 minutes of nerves and about 14 minutes on the phone, which also cost a lot of money! Then we got the tickets, and somehow the entrance was not where we thought it would be (Gate 6), but at the Hard Rock Café. The guide was nice, but he spoke very quickly and asked a lot of baseball questions, explaining the museum and the Memory Garden rather than the stadium itself. At $44 plus taxes and ticket fees, I found it far too expensive. After an hour, it was over; there was no goodbye, just a door to the shop. TICKET RECEIPT: 0/10 PHONE SERVICE: 0/10 EMAIL SERVICE: 2/10 ACCESSIBILITY: 4/10 GUIDE: 6/10 DURATION: 4/10 CONTENT: 4/10 PRICE: 2/10 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 4/10

Google
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we could tell she loved her job. Got to see a lot of the things open to the public, but without a million people there. Also got to go to some cool spots and learned the history behind the Yankees, as well as a lot of small details around the Stadium.

Google
Really great tour, albeit at quite a quick pace as there is just so much to see in the hour. The guide really knew his baseball and was incredibly passionate when talking about the Yankees. We could have listened to him all day (even as Pirates fans!). Very obliging to take group shots too. Well worth a visit.

Google
We loved the memorabilia threw out the stadium and if you never have been to a Yankees game you have to go at least once in your life! However for newer stadiums, this one Kinda sucks! Long line for food! It Needs more escalators and the feel of a packed stadium just didn’t feel like fun! The Phillies have a way better Stadium…. And I am not loyal to any team.. We just like to go to different stadiums when we travel to feel the people of the city! So we give it 3 stars!

Google
Me and my wife visited New York and had planned to do the stadium tour using our new York passes and we had a great time! We aren't baseball fans but really enjoyed the tour of the stadium and the energy from Chuck who was the tour guide for our group. That much so we bought tickets to watch the game the next day! I'd recommend to anyone visiting New York!

Last week I visited the Yankees tour for the second time and unfortunately I had a bad experience again. In 2024 I did my first tour with them and I had a misunderstanding with one of their employees (Josh) for recording video when it is not allowed but the staff did not mention it at the beginning of the tour. Last week (2025) I decided to take my son and again the experience was super negative. Upon arriving at the bar / restaurant I was greeted by 2 employees (a girl and a boy) I tried to ask if they had any storage room to leave our backpacks since we arrived directly from the airport and they did not even let me finish the question when they answered that they did not have a place and that the tour started soon and wait in that corner. They basically ignored me (please be aware that there is nowhere to leave your luggage) At the start of the tour I have the same guide from last year (Josh) at the beginning of the tour I mentioned to him that they should have a place for the backpacks and he responded to me in a rude manner; This is New York City, and if you don't like it, you still have time to skip the tour. I actually went ahead with the tour because it was my son's first time visiting New York. The stadium was hosting a private event, so we couldn't get on the field (this information should be made clear on the website when purchasing tickets). At the end of the tour, I tried to find the manager, but Josh wouldn't tell me where to find him. Very disappointed for the second time.

Google
Tour was very good! On the tour you get to see some of the great sights of Yankee Stadium including Monument Park, the New York Yankees Museum, and the Yankees' Dugout! The best part is definitely going into the dugout and setting foot on the field. You will also get a short history of the stadium and some of the interesting parts of it. Tour gets everything in, but some parts of it were a little fast-paced. Some of the sights of the stadium, such as New York Yankees Museum deserve a little more time to see. However, you can still see many of these places before a game. Also, it would be nice if they could add some other sights such as the press box. Tour starts off at the Hard Rock Café in Yankee Stadium. You should purchase tickets ahead of time online. The tour was flexible and able to accommodate a time change on my part. You do get a Yankee Stadium magnet for going on the tour. A nice memento. Tour guides we had were very nice. A sight not to be missed if you're a Yankee fan!

Google
My wife and I took the stadium tour while on vacation. Our tour guides John and Sergio were amazing and very knowledgeable. These two gentlemen loved their job as much as they love the Yankees. The tour is well worth the money. Overall I would highly recommend taking the tour.

Yelp
There are no words to describe how electric if feels to be in this stadium and even better to see it pretty empty before a highly anticipated game, where you can enjoy the beauty, history, and watch the players practice if you are lucky. I got to experience the stadium tour during the 2025 World Series game 1 against the Guardians. I traveled to NY from Los Angeles and rooted for my boys! It felt amazing to be the first group and the first person to step in for a tour. Although it went quickly, the fact that we had access to a whole half stadium before the doors opened to the public was incredible. If you are a true fan, you will enjoy this experience. I highly recommend it. It is organized, easy to find, and they gave our group a cool magnet and a magazine. The players were practicing and many balls were being hit towards right field, where you could sit to enjoy it. Don't hesitate, do the tour.

Yelp
Husband and I are Yankee fans and we just missed the World Series games by a couple weeks. Last time we were at the stadium was 10 years ago for a game. The next best thing we figure we could do was the stadium tour. We booked the last tour of the day-2pm. We were excited and pumped! It was our boys first time and for our oldest he was excited since he's fresh Yankee fan in the making lol. We enjoyed our tour guide who had lots of knowledge of the stadium as well as the old stadium. If you're a fan (not just Yankee) but over all of baseball, its really awesome hearing stories and seeing the museum of every Yankee thats ever played oldest to the newest- Mickey Mantle to Derek Jeter to Aaron Judge. The museum also displays the last (I believe) 5 or 7 of the World Series trophies. SO COOL!!! We stopped by certain parts of the stadium including Monument Park and The NY Yankees Museum. It's a quick 1 hr tour and the only thing I wish they did was give us more time to take pictures lol. But other than that, we enjoyed every minute of it. If you're a Yankee fan, add this tour to your list of things to do in NYC.

Yelp
This tour under delivered at every turn. We got no special views or access. Just a walk through a huge cement ballpark. They had so much history to highlight, but they crammed a lot of words into packed static displays. Our tour guide ran through the tough and was largely inaudible even though people kept telling him we could not hear him!

Yelp
This tour was great! Each year we do a MLB game out of state for my sons Christmas gift, he chose NY Yankees for our 2019 trip. We had a blast at the games and we try to do a tour of the stadium and learn the history as well. This tour was great, we learned so much about the stadium, Yankees and history and present of it all. Super fun experience, my son loved when we got to sit in the judges chambers. Our tour guide was great too. Highly recommend it, especially if taking the time to come to a game from out of state and your a big baseball and history fan to take the time to learn more about the team you are visiting and all it's history.

Yelp
Had a great time on this tour. The highlight of my trip for sure. We explored a lot of the stadium. We went to the museum inside the stadium and saw a lot of historical artifacts and the World Series trophies. Enjoyed all the information and history. The Thurman Munson history and info was particularly interesting. Went to the Press Box. We also went down to the home team (Yankees) dugout. Great opportunities for photos. We had a small group on this particular tour. Super cool tour!

Yelp
Last year we toured Fenway Park and absolutely loved it. We took the Yankee Stadium tour today and were extremely disappointed. You don't get to see our experience much and the tour guide wasn't real enthusiastic about his job. Our time and money could have been spent better elsewhere.

Yelp
Worst stadium tour there is! HORRIBLE!! I've done many stadium tours and this one is a complete waste of money. No history of the stadium, no history of the team. Absolutely no information given at all and the tour guide couldn't answer basic questions! The tour was an hour long and at least 40 minutes was either a sales pitch or waiting for everyone on the tour to take a selfie. We were rushed through the stadium and didn't get to see any behind the scenes areas that you see in all other stadium tours. God forbid you stop to take a photo because you'll get yelled at the the security staff to hurry up. All while she is on her phone because it won't stop ringing... very loudly! Do not waste your money here, it's not worth it. I only gave it one star because I had to. Check out Fenway Park...even if you aren't a Red Sox fan, they give an awesome tour!

Yelp
First time to do a stadium tour and totally recommend it. I'm not a big baseball fan, but my husband was in love. And he is not even a Yankee fan! Got to do to the dugout, the museum and the monument park. Would definitely recommend it. My only reason for only four stars is that we had a big group. Too big and we were not able to hear her every well as we walked around the park. I'm a history person and would have like to heard more history. Excited to see another stadium in the future.

Yelp
I have probably been on 8 stadium tours and the Yankees one is by far the worst. Past tours have been by older tour guides that love their team and sharing it with visitors. The Yankees have a 19 year old and 3 "Handlers" that shuttle you to three stops. The Yankee Museum, which was pretty cool, the monument wall, which was okay, but I would have much preferred to see the clubhouse and press box like on other tours. Milwaukee even let you throw a couple pitches in the bullpen! The last stop was the dugout, but for the first time I have seen, they didn't let you out of the dugout. You could if you came out for a picture from a professional photographer, which pictures started at $20. Really tacky! If you took two steps away from the line, the what seemed like security guards would say, "Sir! Back in line please!" It really did feel like we were cattle being shuttled through the three sites. The tour lasted about 45 minutes, but my wife and I were very disappointed. It is typical Yankees. Self-Entitled people that think you should be happy you get to pay to see their shrine, rather than the people that are the reason you have a job.

Yelp
Whether you love or hate the Yankees, if you're a baseball fan in general, then this stadium tour is a must. The tour is an hour long. The tour starts at the Yankee museum where there are various items on displays from popular former Yankees such as Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, and even the Boss himself, Mr. Steinbrenner. Also in display are all of the 27 World Series rings. The most impressive thing is Thurman Munson's old locker as a display from the old Yankee stadium. They also got a few of their 27 World Series championship trophies on display at the museum. Next, the tour guide takes you to Monument Park. At Monument Park in center field, there are plaques of most of the former popular players/managers as well as the Boss's plaque. There are also three plaques commemorating each time the Pope has gone to Yankee stadium for mass. Finally, you'll be led to the Yankee dugout where you can sit where Derek Jeter has sat and take pics! The tour guide we had, Julie, was cool and very knowledgable. She answered all questions like a pro! Very impressive! But then again, it is her job to know. Oh, and definitely the highlight of the tour was seeing the retiring (announced the day we were here) Andy Pettite! He was kind enough to take pics and sign autographs with a few people in the group. Classy dude! Tour is highly recommended!

Yelp
Go Yankees!! This was probably the coolest tour of the park, all that history laid out in front of me. It all came rushing back to me being a Yankee fan when I was a kid. The 70s were the best years I think to be a fan. Back in the day, it was hot as hell, brown outs (Power outages) would happen all the time, there was some schmuck who said a dog told him to kill people (Son of Sam) and the Yankees were on fire that year. Reggie Jackson was on the team, Mr. October! He said he was the straw that stirred the drink.. I was eating at Spumoni Gardens, everything just seemed right with the world. To come here and to see all of the championship rings, to see the history of Mantle, Yogi Berra, Thurman Munson, Roger Maris. Then to see the locker room where Jeter has a huge locker and A-Rod has a smaller locker to the side just makes me smile. I read the Yankee Years, I am a true blue Yankee fan. You have to go on this tour.

Yelp
The tour was the best ever ! Took my Father and 15 of his cronies for his 75th B'day Bash. We took a limo bus to the stadium, took a million pictures, one of which won the Best Damn Sports Photo contest and got us a free trip to Miami to be on the TV show, and it also won us one of the Best Yankee Stadium memories pictured in the Newsday. yankee's are a class act all the way, even one of the Met's fans that came along said it was a great time !

Yelp
We did the Private Tour for 40 dollars a person. It's worth it if you have never had a chance to visit Yankee Stadium. Guides are really knowledgeable and you get access to batting practice HR area to catch balls. I would have rated it higher if they gave more time for you to self guide after they finished their vocal presentation.

Yelp
The only thing lacking was a cattle prod from the security guards. I'm not joking. I'm not being dramatic here, this was supposed to be the highlight of my trip. Instead, it was a Huge let down. I damn near went nose to nose with one of the security guards because he yelled at me and my wife for being slow. The park is very beautiful. However ... The tour guide didn't speak loud enough. Even with his personal speaker. The tour guide walked too quickly. We didn't see the museum. We didn't see the locker room. I expected more history. Nope. I got gum on my pants for sitting on the benches they told us to. Ticketmaster's buying interface confused me into buying double the tickets I needed. They would not take a refund, because, ya know, Ticketmaster and the Yankees organizations need the money apparently. If you've been to any other baseball park tour, then you can skip this one. Don't get the package with the Hard Rock, included. The Yankees Hard Rock Cafe is the worst Hard Rock I've been in. They don't want you here anyways. I love the team and the park but FUCK THIS TOUR.

Yelp
Okay, I'll admit, I'm a bit of an up-and-coming sports fan, if you will. That said, even I had to admit this tour of Yankee Stadium was very cool. If you're a baseball fan (especially a Yankee's fan) and in New York, this is a must! Our tour guide was fantastic. She started out engaging everyone in our group and was very open to questions and comments. She really seemed like she knew absolutely everything there was to know about the Yankee's and the stadium. It was amusing when some of the hardcore baseball fans would ask her what they thought was a tough question and she'd answer it without even thinking. The tour began in the museum. I think the museum basically speaks for itself and because I'm an up-and-coming sports fan, as I said before, I'm probably not qualified to explain the museum to y'all in detail. (Besides that would take the fun out of it anyway, wouldn't it?) However, some of the highlights of the museum for me were the 27 World Series Rings, Babe Ruth's memorabilia, and trophies on display. The next stop was Memorial Park. It was just gorgeous and the view of the stadium from here was breathtaking. From there we headed to the field and the Yankee's dugout. This was by far the coolest part of the tour. The view was absolutely amazing. Sitting in the dugout was really cool too. At the end of the tour our tour guide handed us bracelets that allowed us to get $5 off of our dinner at the nearby Hard Rock Cafe. The only negative thing I have to say about the tour is that they were very strict about keeping the group together and moving along. If you stepped away from the group to snap more than one or two photos one of the staff members reminded you to keep moving. Now, to a point, I understand this. I'm sure they're putting through dozens of tours through a day and if one tour falls behind all the rest start late. I get that. But I felt they could have lightened up just a little. I'll also admit that it would have been really neat to tour the clubhouse, press box, and go a bit more behind the scenes. But, here's the thing, you're in New York, and you get what you pay for (or as in most cases you get what you OVERpay for), but being that this tour was only an hour for $20, I felt it was fair and money well spent. Even being a rookie sports fan, I loved the tour. However, even though the stadium was fantastic and beautiful, I still have to say that being a Pennsylvania native, I'm still a Pittsburgh Pirates fan. Let's Go Bucs! :)

Yelp
This tour is a complete waste of $40. Don't do it! They take you to the museum which you can go to for free. Then they take you to Monument Park which you can also go to for free. Then you watch a little batting practice. That's the extent of it. The last tour of a baseball stadium that I took was the Seattle Mariners home. I was only there because the Yankees were in town. The tour was terrific. They took you all over the stadium including the executive offices, the press box, the dugout and the field. It was so interesting to learn about how the roof operates and then later see it happen when it started to rain during the game. Take that $40 at Yankee Stadium and buy yourself a better seat. The tour is worthless.
google avatar

Keaton M.

Yelp
Pretty disappointing to say the least. This has been my fifth stadium tour and by far the least enjoyable. The tour is an hour long but it only goes through the museum, centerfield memorial, and the press box. At no point do you get anywhere near the field or in the dugouts or clubhouse. If it's during the season I would understand, but there is a lot of the stadium they could show during offseason. The pictures are a rip off as well, $20 for a basic photo... It was great to see the World Series ring and trophy but that's where it stops. Save your money and go to a game, you will see a lot more!

Yelp
In mid July (during the Yankees/Orioles Series) I had the chance to take a tour of Yankee stadium. It should be noted that we purchased tickets weeks in advance. In fact, I do not believe any tickets for the tour were available to purchase the day of. So I highly recommend going online and reserving tickets in advance. The tour gets started outside of Gate 6, just to the left pf the gift shop, with the McDonald's in visible walking distance just across the street. Our tour was lead by a very friendly and professional heavy-set gentleman. He seemed to be full of knowledge and facts related to the history of the Yankees. He even has a 2009 World Series ring that we he'll gladly let you take a picture of. The tour begins by taking you upstairs via elevator to the Yankee Museum. Which is nothing short of awesome and breathtaking! In this area you will find a wall with over a hundred signed baseballs. Across the far wall are lockers, artifacts, and tributes to all the great Yankees. Here you will find small exhibits dedicated to Babe Ruth, The Boss and many other Yankee legends. After the museum, we took stairs back downstairs and walked around the outside of the stadium towards Monument Park. Upon finally arriving in Monument Park, we were given approx 15 to walk around, take pictures, ask questions, etc - A MUST SEE for not only any Yankee fan but for any baseball fan as well. The final stop on the tour found our tour group of about 30 people, walking through and empty Yankee Stadium on the lower level from right field towards the Yankee dug-out on the first base side. We walked down the steps directly onto the field and into the dugout. Security and our guide were somewhat strict about us walking or standing on the field for extended periods of time. But we were permitted to take all the pictures we wanted for about 15 min. All in all, it was a wonderful experience that I will remember for a lifetime. **BEWARE** -The tour usually sells out, so you'll probably want to get tickets way in advance. -You do not get to go inside the actual clubhouse if the Yankees are in town. **The tour does not take you into the suites or luxury boxes as other tours (Wrigley/Turner Field) do. **Security is pretty tight and you do have to pass through a metal detector.

Yelp
This tour was fantastic! The tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and informative. We toured the Yankees Museum and saw great pieces of history and learned some little known facts. We also went to Monument Park and stood where the greats had been! Later, we sat in seats overlooking the field and right next to The Judge's Chambers. We were then allowed to roam throughout the stadium on our own. I'll always treasure this memory!

Bruce S.

Yelp
Tour was fantastic, our tour guide Chris was an abundance of information and real Yankee fan. Unfortunately it was snowing for our tour so it limited our seas that could be visited. MY BEEF is they sold me a 2019 MEDIA GUIDE instead of. 2020 guide. The 2019 guide containing stats from 2018 , 2 year old information

Yelp
I took a tour of Yankee stadium a while back in 2005 during the Thanksgiving break in the off-season. Having never gone to a game at the stadium and being in New-York and being a Yankees fan at heart, I felt like it would be a fun thing to do in the morning with my cousin before actually heading back home for the sacred meal with the family. So we darted off while our family started cooking up the feast and took the train from White Plains all the way into the Bronx and with tickets in hand, handed into the home that Ruth built... the outfield where they gods have roamed. The stadium is everything that you can except: tradition, pride, status, ego, virtue, balance, greatness. It's a freakin' awesome place and as we passed into the gates and gathered into the seats waiting for our guide, I was getting more and more excited by the minute. Our guide finally arrived and struck me as the same person who was interviewed in the Yankeeology DVDs. He's been doing this for most of his life and is easily recognizable because he only has one hand. And on it, on one of his fingers in a World Series ring. He's played a huge role for the organization and is both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The tour took us through the seats into Memorial Park and through the warning tracks into the dugouts and into the players locker rooms and the press box. It was as complete as could be and will be forever engraved as one of the best afternoons of my life. I had a magical time learning about the organization and discovering such a legendary place. Luckily enough, as the stadium is into its last year I also managed to catch a home game there. The tour ends with the store. Being in a quiet stadium is a very intimate, weird feeling which I honestly loved. It feels very personal and truly enables to learn and enjoy it a lot better. Memorial park was fantastic and full of biographies of retired and legendary players and skippers they have had in the past. Mantle,Ford, Gherig, Bera, etc... You name 'em, they've got them. Yankee stadium, you will be missed! I'd highly recommend this tour to any baseball fan looking to have an amazing experience which is also very affordable at only about $15 per ticket.

Yelp
My GF who I went to NY with is a die hard Yankees fan, so doing the tour was on her bucket list. Not really knowing what to expect having not been on a stadium tour before, I didn't have any expectations. It was really cool learning Yankee history while we shuffled through the museum and Monument park, (we wished their was more time in the museum though there was a lot to look at) and because they were setting up for a soccer game we weren't able to go out into the field or dugout - but we were able to sit in the press area and take some amazing photos of the field/stadium. Booking with our NYC Explorer pass was a cluster, we ended up paying out of pocket to guarantee a tour time. And the info on the MLB website for box office times to book tours is not accurate. They are NOT open 9-5 weekdays esp when there's an afternoon game, box office closes after the 8th inning (or apparently whenever they feel like it)

Yelp
This is one of the worst stadium tours I have ever been on. At first, we entered and were corralled like animals in a small area. We were constantly yelled at to move in further to the roped off area because we were not in to their liking. Once we were all inside, we were basically yelled at most of the time about how we couldn't do anything. We made 3 stops on our tour. First, we stopped at a small museum that featured old jerseys, signed balls, and their World Series trophies. The main thing that was interesting in here was Thurman Munson's locker. Then we stopped in Monument Park, which you can already see on game days. Upon entering, we were scolded so to not step in certain places. Our final stop was in the Yankees dugout. Before we were walked down, we were told not to stop at all and not to sit in any seats. We were only allowed to go into the dugout and were not allowed to step out of it at all. If we even went up to the top step, we were yelled at not to go any further. This tour took maybe an hour and at the end they attempted to sell us the media guide for $20. They claimed it was tour exclusive. That was ridiculous. I can go on eBay right now and get one for $7. The guy giving us our tour was complaining half the time in the elevator rides about how the people on the tour don't want to separate for 10 seconds. We have been on many tours. They usually take you to the press box, the locker room (visitor or home), and have you sit in some kind of seats. I feel like the tour should be an advertisement to potential future ticket buyers. Shame on the Yankees for charging $20-25 for a so called tour. If you are thinking about taking the tour, don't waste your money. Go to Coney Island instead and ride the Cyclone a couple times.

Yelp
If I had not gone to amazing tours at Wrigley Field and Fenway Park, I think I would have enjoyed my tour of Yankee Stadium a lot better. My boyfriend who was touring a ballpark for the first time enjoyed himself except for when I was complaining how lame this tour was in comparison. Sorry I! I'm sure if I were a Yankees fan that would have made it better too, but I'm not and going into the tour I had different expectations and the "tour" did not live up to it. The reason I enjoyed the other tours so much was that they were filled with little bits of trivia and other bits of PR that almost made you want to become a fan of that team or support the franchise. Comparing the Yankee Stadium tour to my past experiences, it was much more of a viewing than a tour in my mind. That said, it was awesome being in the ballpark and made me wish I'd had the opportunity to watch and actual game there as I'm sure it would have been amazing. It was neat to tour around monument park, walk along the outside perimeter of the field, sit in the dugout and go into the clubhouse. The only downer was that I felt I was in prison the way the staff was rushing us along telling us that we couldn't stop to take a photo, but had to keep moving along. I guess I can kind of understand as I saw a few of the other people on our tour stealing some dirt and grass, but it made for a very tense situation. All I have to say is THANK GOODNESS I didn't pay the $75 people were trying to sell the tickets for on StubHub. I just kept trying back on the Yankee site and got them for the regular price. Bonus at the end was that they gave us a key chain commemorating the last season at Yankee Stadium. I thought that was a nice touch and ended the tour on a high note. Bottom line, I'm glad that I did it, but it definitely did not meet my expectations.

Yelp
I would not recommend this tour to anyone. I've been on three other ballpark tours that combined did not equal the cost of this one and they were all WAY better. I went on a Gameday and was told the access to some of the tour would not be available. So I traded my tickets for a off day. We went to the tour on the off day and was only allowed access to the museum and locker room. No tour of the dugout, bullpen, field or even Monument Park was given. We were told that those areas are day to day and based on availability. Unless they move those areas to other parts of town, I believe they were there and available. Bottom line: don't offer a tour on days that ALL areas are not available. If 1 person goes on the tour and another person goes 2 months later, they should see the same tour for the same price.

Yelp
I only give it three stars because of my unique perspective. Lifetime Yankee fan, spent hundreds of hours in the old stadium, a little sad to see the old one finally [though inevitably] meet the wrecking ball. So, are you getting a tour of Yankee Stadium? I suppose, but deep down in every die hard pinstriper's heart, it's not 100% the same. Wheras one could once tour the scary, moldy, urine-stenched caverns of a structure that partially dates back almost 100 years, you now see a replica, partially honoring the past, partially glomming off of the new wave of modern cookie-cutter stadiums. You get to see all the world series trophies (The yankees only have seven because the trophy was introduced to baseball in 1967), and you get to sit in the dugout and take a few steps onto the field. It's a wonderfully impressive facilty, and you will have fun. But in some ways, it just isn't quite Yankee Stadium anymore... *longing look*

Yelp
I was extremely disappointed when I went on the tour at the "new stadium" and we weren't permitted near the seats or field or in the dug-out because the Yankees were out of town and they were readying for the soccer event! We also were told that they are no longer allowing the tour of the locker/dressing rooms because there had been a report of theft. So we had an empty stadium tour of the places that can be accessed during a regular game except for the museum and the press boxes. It should have been disclosed prior to purchase or at least they could have offered a free pass for another day. Disappointed in Yankee Land!

Yelp
The tour is weak. You're only guaranteed to see Monument Park and Yankees Museum, both of which are completely underwhelming, and you can see when you go to a game. The Museum is so small compared to all the History and Mystique and Aura the team boasts. You'd think the Museum would contain the original Babe Ruth trade contract, but instead that is at their expensive restaurant in Midtown. You might get the dugout/warning track, a peek at the batting cages and locker room (and I mean a peek!), and/or the press box, "subject to availability". Don't expect to go on all of the last three on one day.

Yelp
Not recommended at all. We were very excited to be there and walked yo very disappointed. Personally I think it's very expensive for what it actually is. $25 entrance... we were followed by two security guards throughout the tour and if you tried to stop to take a quick pick they would let you! This definitely made us feel uncomfortable. Alao basically you go to places that anyone can go if going to a game. I thought that they would take us to the dressing rooms or cool things like that but they didn't. I recomend that if you want to visit the stadium you do it watching a game NOT ON THE TOUR

Yelp
I had to make a stop here during my stay. Only downside were the Yankees were away at the time. Nice tour taking you back through the history of the Yankees. They did a great job on this stadium. The tour started in the museum, wow a lot of great stories in here. Memories from some great players Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth. Lou Gehrig is pretty awesome. The Ball Wall filled with autographed baseballs from current and former players. A nice tribute to Don Larson for throwing a perfect game in the World Series, statues of Larson and Yogi Berra who caught the perfect game. I was really impressed that they had still intact Thurman Munson's locker and how it was after he died in a plane crash. Yankee captain and one of my favorite players growing up. The tour then took us to Monument Park. Here is a wall of all the great players who wore Yankee pinstripes. Pretty cool just looking at all the great players that made so much history for this organization. Off we went to the broadcasting areas. These are some great seats and views of this stadium. Took some great pictures and just took it all in. Then we headed down to the locker room. Pretty nice layout for the players to relax before and after a game. We were in the main locker area roped off, but they had other rooms for the players to have some privacy and I'm sure some card games and drinks. We could not go on the field or in the dugout as they were cleaning up from a previous days event. Great park, fan friendly and seating looks good everywhere. This is a must stop. The park may be new but the Yankee tradition holds true. George new what he wanted and got it. I will be back to catch a game for sure.

Yelp
I hate the Yankees. Dear geebus I hate the Yankees. Not because I'm from Boston, or because I love the Mets, or because, despite being a Giants fan, I hold some weird aggressive feelings from the Giants-Yankees baseball rivalry that didn't get extinguished in the 50's when the Giants moved to SF. I hate the Yankees for their unbridled success and their expectation that it should continue year after year. Much like the Lakers or the Red Wings or Manchester United. I don't need that kinda attitude in my sports teams. All that said, I loved good-ole Yankee stadium. The tour was pretty cheap and pretty fantastic for a cold, rainy day in early March. I made a point to see this American classic before they tear it down at the end of this year. I really feel like it's a sin to tear this place down. The history is just so immense and so American, they might as well just tear down the Empire State Building next. So, I had to go see it. The tour was great, the history was great. The tour guide's obvious Yankee-loving-geekiness was awesome. He was the Yankees and you know he's been going to games there since his dad brought him to his first game when he was six years old. Loved it. If you can make it before the end of 2008 - do take a tour or take in a game this summer. You'll regret it if you don't.

Yelp
Sit where the Babe sat. Pay homage to Joe DiMaggio's retired 5. View the field as A-Rod does. Stand where Mickey Mantel suited up. Pretend you're calling the game like Bob Sheppard. It doesn't get any better!

Yelp
I made a point to visit Yankee Stadium before the Big Move across the street. (Yep, made the trip from LA to da Bronx). As part of my trip, I made sure to buy tickets in advance for the Stadium Tours. This is a great behind-the-scenes tour that any baseball fan would appreciate. The memory of me standing in Yankee Stadium empty before Game Day and just thinking of all those who played here...a beautiful moment.

Yelp
This ended up being a highlight of our NYC trip. My husband is a baseball lover and I couldn't care less, yet I found the history fascinating. You got to see many behind the scene things, like the press box and yankee museum. Our tour guide was Jeff, he was super knowledgeable for a young guy... and very welcoming.

Yelp
I was really disappointed. I've done a bunch of stadium tours and this one was the biggest waste of money. We got to see the press box, monument park (which was ho hum), the museum and a suite. We did not get to go into a dugout, didn't see a clubhouse... nothing. We were herded like cattle. The guide was OK. She knew her things about baseball and the Yanks, but had I known how disappointing this was, I would not have spent $23 to go. Typical Yankees. Go see Fallon instead!

Yelp
I am a huge baseball fan so I spared some time in my busy to-do list in NY to go to the Yankee Stadium tour. But it was an extremely disappointing experience. The tour had not even started and we were all being treated rude. The employees ask all the visitors to wait in a small area and get angry if you move 2mts to take a picture. Then the tour begins. You go to a museum of the 5 best Yankees teams in history. You have in front of your eyes marvelous pieces such as a Mickey Mantle bat or a Lou Gehrig glove, autographed balls from memorable stars, and only get like 5min before the tour guide (Carl or Charles I don't remember) starts asking in a very seriously way to move on. Too little time for that amount of information. The same thing happened in the monument park, where you can find the numbers that the team has retired, from Reggie Jackson to Mariano Rivera. Again the guys don't let people spend more than 5min there. Not to mention that I was with my baby boy in a stroller and they didn't let me use the elevator because they said it was only for wheelchairs. So I had to wake him up and carry the stroller up and down the stairs. No pictures are allowed while you walk from the monument park to the dugout (believe me, they have like 3 or 4 guys paying attention to what you do). 5 more minutes in the dugout, a couple of pictures and back to the team store where the tour ends. You either take pictures or admire the stadium. No time for both. I have read other reviews where people say the tour lasts about an hour. Lucky you, mine was about 20min long. I felt they just want your money and then they try to kick you out of the stadium as fast as they can. It was the only place in the entire New York City where I was treated so rudely. Big expectations turned into even bigger disappointment. I advise people not to take the tour unless they make significant changes to it. If you really want to enjoy the majesty of the Yankee Stadium, it is better to go to a game and take all the time you want to admire it. Do not waste 25$ as I did.

Yelp
Review Based on the Old Yankee Stadium (1923-2008). Tours of the old Yankee Stadium were held during the season on days other than home games. No reservations were necessary, and all you had to do was show up and purchase a stadium tour ticket. When I went back in Summer 2004 or 2005, it was very easy to hop aboard a tour with little chance of them selling out. We were guided along to the dugout (the bench is actually heated during the winter!), the field's warning track, Monument Park (what a treat), and to the team locker room (no pictures allowed). It's crazy how Jeter has an extra locker devoted to just his fan mail. There's also the empty locker in memory of former captain Thurman Munson. The old stadium ("The House that Ruth Built:") had so much history. Any Yankees fan (young or old) would have appreciated this tour. The current Yankee Stadium (2009-Present) has 3 tour options: - Classic Group Tour - Twilight Tour - Birthday Bash Tour http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/ballpark/stadium_tours.jsp http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/ballpark/stadium_tours_details.jsp I have yet to go on an official tour of the new stadium (not really motivated too). I've been to the stadium for a game already, and also have run through all levels of it (even on the warning track) for the annual Damon Runyon 5K (http://www.damonrunyon.org/yankeestadium), which benefits cancer research. It's a great run and for a great cause!

Yelp
I have been to many stadium tours and this one is a waste of time and money! First of all, our tour guide was late 15 minutes! We could not hear anything the tour guide said because he was just having a conversation with just one family from the entire group. Throughout the tour, we felt rushed. There wasn't any time to take pictures anywhere because we weren't allowed to make a stop. We did not go on the field or dugout. We only went to the press box, museum, and monument park, which you can access these areas during a regular game. Do Not Waste your time! Go to other stadiums for a better experience.

Kelly R.

Yelp
I was very disappointed in the tour. They take you to the press box, monument park, the "judges chambers" and the museum-all places you have access to during a regular game (except the press box). There was no access to the locker room or dugout. Not much history or information was given. You were basically left to yourself to roam around these places. I took the tour of Madison Square Garden and learned tons of information I would not have otherwise known and was taken to all areas with experienced guides.

Yelp
Our was OK. We have been to other tours & saw way more of the stadium. Tour was about an hour, tour guide was pretty good when you could hear him & he would not always wait for everyone to catch up. We walked up to the press box, went to monument park, and went through the museum (which was pretty cool). Was looking forward to going in the dugout, lower down towards the field, in the locker rooms and to the after game or pre game press conference area. Somewhat of a let down - The hardrock part is not worth it - do it on your own.

Yelp
Don't waste your money. This was the worst major league tour I've ever been on. Most disappointing is that you hardly get to see anything. They took us to the dugout, the memorial garden, the museum, and (of course) we ended at the store. That's all. No bullpen, no locker room, no press box, no views from various parts of the stadium. It was also woefully lacking in information. Our "guide" added NO INFORMATION. No history, no lore, no pointing out special places or idiosyncrasies of the stadium. She merely pointed to several large photos along our route. It was really bad. I'm not even a Yankees fan and I could have been more informative. Finally, I must note that it had a weird vibe. We had to wait in a small cordoned off area for our tour guide. We had to be escorted by security to walk 50 feet to the bathroom. There were 6 or 7 in our tour group, and we were escorted by 3 security guards in addition to our "guide". Came from CA and we were really looking forward to this tour. Big disappointment and TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

Yelp
Tour was OK. This is my second tour of a baseball stadium. I went to the Mariners stadium last fall. Maybe I was expecting the same. Tour was about an hour, tour guide was great. We walked up to the press box, went to monument park, we're able to take pictures at the judges chamber, and went through the museum (which was pretty cool). I wish we would be able to be in the dugout, lower down towards the field, in the locker rooms and also in Seattle we went to the after game or pre game press conference area, which I thought was dope. All in all yes, glad I went however I felt a bit let down, most of what we saw could have been seen if we just went to a game. Oh I almost forgot, I purchased the lunch option from hard Rock Cafe they offer when purchasing ticket. I would not suggest it. Got 1 non alcoholic beverage, little desert, and only 4 options for meal, burger, chicken sandwich, house salad, and a different one. I don't think I got my monies worth, needs more options.

Yelp
Hugely disappointing stadium tour. I've done stadium tours around the world and expected better from the Yankees, a club with a lot of history. The security team (appeared to be contracted by Securitas) were tediously officious. We were brayed at to stay within the penned confines of the holding area (no visitors were actually moving around). Security personnel then followed the group and shouted the moment anyone so much as touched the white line separating the concourse from the seats. A child was reprimanded for going past the white line to see over the seats - having not actually been told beforehand that it wasn't allowed. The tour guide appeared put out by the security team - at one point waving a hand dismissively having been told they couldn't go to a particular area. The guide was friendly enough, but the hallmark of a good tour guide is giving you historical or insider anecdotes. There were none. One of the most successful clubs in the history of sport and no context was given to areas of interest. The tour itself was abysmal. 20 minutes in the museum, which was fine but not inspiring, 20 minutes in the memorial park, which was quite dull after the first minute or two, and less than 10 minutes in the press box. We were told to ask questions to be able to extend the tour. I feel that if the group doesn't have questions, it's the guide's job to generate interest. I love stadium tours, but I don't know what I don't know. I can't ask questions about a team or stadium that is not well-known to me. No clubhouse, no dugouts, no field, no bullpen. If security wouldn't have hunted me down in packs had I made a break for it to the exit, I'd have left halfway through.

Yelp
We did an afternoon tour before an evening Yankee game (7/8/15). During the tour, we visited the on-site Yankee museum and Monument Park. But you can visit both of these spots before the game. So don't waste your money on a tour if you're going to a game...just show up when they open the gates...this will give you plenty of time to enjoy the museum & Monument Park, both of which are worth visiting. (On the other hand...we did the Fenway Park tour in Boston several years ago and that was well worth the time and money spent!)

Yelp
It was a nice tour of the new stadium. But the day before they had a soccer tournament and we couldn't have access to the field, dugout or bull pen. They should tell you what your not going to get before you shell out the $25 bucks! My friend enjoyed the whole thing, but I have never been on a field before and was waiting for this chance to do so. The locker room and memorial were nice. But again, I wanted to be on the field of America's team for my first time! Disappointed!

Yelp
There are a lot of things this tour did right and a lot of things that this tour did wrong. If you are a diehard Yankees fan, baseball fan, or want to get the best bang for your buck, I would highly recommend upgrading your tour. If you are looking to see the basics, sit in the dugout, and see the locker room then this tour is for you. What this tour got right: The Yankees museum was actually pretty cool. Lots of memorabilia dedicated to the teams to the 1950's and Mickey Mantle, more so than Babe and Gerhig, which I found surprising. They have every World Series ring ever won, and a World Series Pocket Watch given out in 1923.... now that is style. In the center there are two statues of Don Larson and Yogi Berra showcasing the trajectory of one of his pitches for his perfect game in the 1956 WS. And inside are signed balls from what had to be every Yankee since 1903. Monument Park- you get to go right down and see all the monuments of the mighty heroes of the Yankees organization. Each plaque has a great story to tell and you get a great view of the field. The dugout. Something surreal to experience and makes you feel like a kid no matter what age you are. What the tour did not get right: I honestly thought I would hear more in depth stories, maybe a funny anecdote never before uttered. Didn't really happen. Most of what was said was for the most part common knowledge to this baseball fan (I know I am tough, sorry, but it just felt like they ran down the wikipedia fact sheet). Aside from that, I did enjoy our tour guide a lot. TOO MUCH GEORGE STEINBRENNER!!!!!!!!!!! I get it. He was an over-sized egomaniac who saved the Yankees, tried his best to destroy them, and after being told to cool it, guided them to their current success. Absolutely understand his role in the organization. But to have more memorabilia than Babe Ruth is just silly. Heck his plaque in Monument Park is greater than almost every plaque put together, and its kind of creepy too.... Finally, no mention of George Costanza. I mean if there is anyone that deserves credit for the 90's dynasty it is him. Again, its worth the experience just to see these things. If you are a baseball nut, upgrade. If you are everyone else, take a lot of photos during your 40 minutes and enjoy the free key chain at the end.

Yelp
Yankee Stadium pre game tour, interesting but not worth the money. On a recent trip to New York I wanted to catch a game at Yankee Stadium. I'm not a Yankees fan, however I do enjoy going to a game in a MLB park and Yankee Stadium is ground zero for baseball the way Cowboys Stadium is in football. The pre game tour was $40. You are started off with a very cheap keyring as a token of your visit. Not only is it cheap, it has advertising logos for two major sponsors on it. So I doubt it cost the Yankees a dime to provide them. The tour consisted of a visit to the Yankee museum and to Monument Park in center field. While I found the museum interesting, and the advantage of going to Monument Park in a small group and not having to deal with the crowds that were there later, I would have enjoyed seeing more of the actual stadium with a guide. I guess they save that for tours on non game days. If your a die hard baseball fan you will enjoy it no mater the price. I was just expecting more for the $90 with fees my wife and I paid. We did live the Philly sandwiches during the game. That and that the Yankees lost made it a wonderful day.

Yelp
By far not the best tour of my life. Field was being torn up from football game, it was in terrible condition. Due to this work being done, they wouldn't take us too all the usual spots of the tour. Monument Park was awesome otherwise a waste. Why have tours when you can't show the entire tour? Also the handlers that walk you around we're very rude..... Telling you too hurry and keep moving. However the tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly.

Yelp
We visited New York last week for the first time and as we knew it would probably be our only time we decided to try and do as much as possible. On our last day we decided to do the Yankee Stadium tour and I have to say it was the worst tour I have ever done and I have done quite a few sporty ones. We were at first taken through to the main waiting area whilst we waited for all the other guests to arrive. There was a fairly old man within our tour and he stepped away and took a picture of a photo on the wall and he was shouted at like a school child for walking away from the group. I looked at my husband and we were both in shock. Our tour guide came a few minutes later and he was a nice pleasant man but the trouble was we couldn't hear a word he was saying. One of the other ladies in the group asked him to turn his microphone up which he did but he was still really difficult to hear unless we were standing still. I am not sure of the exact number in the group but I would guess at 15 and we had the guide walking us round with 2 members of staff. it was the other members of staff that were the problem, if you stepped out of the line to take a picture they would shout at you and I am not exaggerating. It honestly felt like we were on a school trip and not adults on a stadium tour. The old man who had been told off at the start continued to get shouted at and I just felt so sorry for him. I would like to add that there were no players around on this visit so it was not like we were some kind of security threat to anyone famous. When we went by the ground there were some props which someone got told off for picking up, apparently you can only use those if you are going to have the professional pictures. It was also very limited, didn't get to see dressing rooms or anything really that you couldn't see if you were going to watch an actual game. We had done the Madison Square Garden tour a bit earlier in the week and this was just on another level compared to this tour. The tour needs to be extended and the staff need to cheer up and be more pleasant to make this anything near as good as some of the other tours I have done.
