World Central Kitchen Restaurant in Ukraine Hit by Russian Airstrike - Eater

"The José Andrés-founded nonprofit was operating out of Kharkiv restaurant Yaposhka, which was destroyed in the strike. World Central Kitchen, the non-profit founded by chef José Andrés which works to bring food to parts of the world facing crisis, has been working in Ukraine and in neighboring countries, serving hot food both to people fleeing the country and those within its borders. But on Saturday, one of its restaurants in Kharkiv was destroyed by a missile strike. In a video on Twitter, CEO Nate Mook said a number of staff from WCK’s partner restaurant, Yaposhka, were wounded in the strike." - Jaya Saxena

Nice place to come for lunch. Food was good as were the portions. I’ve read in reviews that people wait 45 minutes or longer which would be a big no for us. The waitress did say everything would be at least 30 minutes which turned us away at first. But food cake out in 15 minutes so all is well.

I know all 5★ seems exaggerated, but trust me I ain't exaggerating. It's not just a restaurant with good food to go into on holidays or birthdays, it's the first place that comes to mind when I think about what I wanna eat today. And trust me, I'm a REALLY picky person, not to say someone who's struggling with food behaviour, but Yapiko is _literally_ a lifesaver when it comes to eating! I usually go with noodles. While rolls and pizzas are the first thing that comes to mind when you hear "Yapiko", there are TONS of other different dishes you absolutely should true. Everything is amazing here. Although miso soup may be too salty for my liking! Not to say, the drinks, the cocktails here are awesome too. Also, there's this lucky wheel game if you come here on your birthday or up to week later, one time my colleague won a bottle of wine in the other restaurant. Lightened the mood a lot!:D The waiters and waitresses are usually extremely polite and cute, and the atmosphere feels safe overall. The interior is SPECTACULAR, unironically, I absolutely adore it. Also it's always very tidy here. Absolutely recommend!

I have a complaint about a waiter yesterday, I had a pizza that I did not quite enjoy, it was okay. Usually the ones I order turn out to be good except for the last one. The waiter asked me if I liked the pizza and I replied that it was okay, she said "really??" with a mockingly smile, I said I did not like it. And then she walked away. When she walked beside the barman they exchanged words I couldn't understand. They looked at me and laughed. I never felt bullied in a restaurant before like this.
