My time at Yardbird was an interesting overall experience. The appearance and the vibe of this place is amazing. It has a great energy and it feels very easy to have conversation. When it comes to the food and service, I was a bit disappointed. Now to start things off, I was in a party of 10. This might have had a different outcome if it wasn't a large group. When we got there we had enjoyed the table that was presented and had a good time. We started off with mimosas which were pretty decent. The bottle were $50 with a small portion of juice (Cranberry, Pineapple, or Orange) and an extra set of juice costs $5. Our waiter was good but I think he was overstretched with other group of tables. This will be something to look back during the rest of the review. It took them a while to order our food and it took it even longer to get the food to us. Once we got our food, it wasn't any condiments to go with the food and we had to request it. It just felt like they were slammed and it was the wrong time to attend. The food could have been better. It wasn't nasty but it was not great. I ordered the "Great American Burger" and I felt disappointed. A big burger but the taste was lacking. The fries great. I think the biggest portion of the disappointment was the time it took to get everything to us and the food didn't the match the wait. Maybe going back with a smaller party should be something I look into to see if the result is the same. Still I would say try it but I think it could be better than a view or a beautiful look.

Went here for a work dinner. The restaurant was not busy as it was a later meal on a weekday. We really enjoyed the food. The fried chicken tasted great and the portions are more than enough. They could be shared by a couple of people. The salads are good as well. I would suggest the cornbread and biscuits as appetizers. There is also a good selection of drinks. Our server was very attentive and provided some good recommendations.

Great Restaurant, Great Service, Great Atmosphere ,Very Clean and Presentable. I ordered the Chicken with Mac and Cheese and Potatoes and Gravy. When the meal was served I took a bite of my wife's chicken because she got hers before me. It was not hot so I told my wife that in private or at least I thought I did. To my surprise when they bought me my dish they had also prepared another dish of fried chicken for my wife and it was Hot. THAT WAS IMPRESSIVE TO ME. WAY TO GO!!!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was on point. The service was great and it was a really good atmosphere. I had the chicken and waffles. They have this Bourbon maple syrup that tastes great. I also had their fried green tomatoes. They were okay as well. I would recommend this restaurant if you like chicken and waffles or just like fried chicken. For my drink I had a sweet tea. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us. She also gave us recommendations of things that she enjoyed since this was our first time experiencing this restaurant. The restaurant itself was very clean and had good lighting. The location was nice as well, right? Next door to Perry's Steakhouse. Parking was available in the parking garage or you can do valet. They will validate your parking if you park in the garage so you don't have to pay. If I'm ever in the mood for chicken and waffles again I will definitely go back to this restaurant.

We had an amazing time! After having a horrible experience at another restaurant and walking out we decided to try Yardhouse. We were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm smile and a hello. Nick was our waiter and was nothing short of amazing!!! He took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed The FOOD! We got the chicken and waffles and it was some of the best fried chicken. The chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection. *chefs kiss* oh and definitely get the okra! Will be back and thank you again

This place is simply beautiful and so good. I loved the vibe and atmosphere. Our server Jada was very kind and informative. I have to say the food was amazing!!! I literally ate every single thing on my plate. I highly recommend this restaurant. Plus it’s in the heart of the city so you have great views, great food with great people! 10/10 thank you yardbird staff.

Yardbird in Dallas is gorgeous! I’ve visited the one in Chicago which is also very nice so this Dallas location did not disappoint! The stash is friendly. We walked in and chatted with the manager who was extremely welcoming! She was also from Illinois, I think. We came during happy hour and munched on appetizers, everything was yummy. We order chicken wings and fried okra. The drinks were refreshing. The best part of this location is how picturesque it is! The lights, swings, and fixtures were so pleasing to the eyes. I really enjoyed my afternoon here.

Ridiculously incredible food AND service. Our server, Evan, cared for our table like it was his only one. The short ribs just melted in my mouth and the famous fried chicken was the best I've ever had! Don't forget dessert!

I am in love with this place. The ambiance is beautiful, especially at night. The spicy fried chicken I had was incredible. I was in town from New Orleans visiting a friend who brought me here for dinner and Lashonda was our server. She made my first visit to Yardbird the beautiful experience it was. I can't thank her enough for her smiling face, welcoming demeanor, and warm hospitality.

Incredible experience. The food was amazing, the desserts were incredible, the drinks were delicious, and our bartender Nick was awesome. He made us feel like family. We had such a great experience during our two visits this week, we will absolutely be back when in Dallas. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

The name doesn't do this place justice! When my husband suggested we meet at Yardbird for lunch with the kids I pictured some high scale Chick fil A. Boy was I wrong! The lobby was stunning as was the sweeping view of the entire restaurant. The bar and the large windows out to the patio were beautiful. We chose patio seating and it didn't disappoint. Even being across the street from Klyde Warren Park the patio is private and it has excellent shade for the warmer days. We started with the deviled eggs. The presentation (photo) was so pretty and they tasted so wonderful, even our kiddos liked them. The kids chose a hamburger and mac & cheese from the kids menu which came with a side (fruit or fries) as well as a drink and Blue Bell ice cream - they were elated! My hubby and I chose the Peppercorn-Crusted Skirt Steak (Arugula, Broccoli, Corn, Potato, Tomato, Jalapeño Vinaigrette) and the Yardbird Tenders w/fries. Our waitress was so kind and took great care of our table. We all really enjoyed our lunch. Typical of any downtown Dallas spot the bill was $$$, so not a place we'll frequent, but I would recommend Yardbird.

Made reservations for the night before catching the Usher concert and what a treat. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated immediately! Shortly after we were greeted by our server for the evening. He gave us the evening spotlights and we ordered appetizers and locations to get started. Since we knew we couldn't take leftovers we decided to share meals and it worked out perfectly. You can come dressed down or up, you'll blend in just fine! I really enjoyed the ambiance as well as the service. I will definitely stop back in soon.

Ambiance 10 out of 10. Fried chicken and tenders were good . Fried chicken better than the tenders. Ordered the skillet cornbread it was amazing. Definitely overpriced I would say that for sure. Mac and cheese I give it 2 stars wasn't the best taste at all for me. French Fries to salty and half cold. My cocktail was a watermelon swing it was refreshing, definitely minimal alcohol. For aesthetic it's a plus food I'm give it a 7

First time here tonight and Dinner was Awesome!! Sat at the bar solo to enjoy some gluten free fried chicken and black eyed peas. Nick the Bartender was amazing! Awesome customer service and attentive! Will be back soon!! So many items I wanna try next time! Also i love the fact that theres gluten free items on the menu!!!! I love it here!!!!

Yardbird is an adorable spot! The interior was very cute and nicely decorated. I visited for brunch on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to have only a short few minute wait without a reservation. The food was delicious, especially the mac and cheese and chicken and waffles. Service was attentive, and parking was a breeze, thanks to the nearby garage that offers validation. Highly recommend!

My husband and I went to Yardbird for lunch because they don't serve chicken tenders during brunch and he despises bone in chicken. I love the location and I love how classy baste the restaurant is. I literally made a reservation on the way there and didn't need it. Our server, Devon, was friendly and knowledgable. She helped us choose our meals. My only complaint is that she didn't come back for a long time after we got our meals. We had to ask someone else for condiments. I ordered chicken tenders and fries (it was $22 which is more than what I would normally pay however it's a fancier restaurant so it was fine). The tenders and fries were really good. My partner ordered chicken tenders and waffles and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We also ordered a side of Mac and cheese. It has 6 different cheeses in it. It was pretty good. If I go back I'll try the Brussels sprouts. FYI: If you park in their parking garage they will validate your ticket.

I heard mixed reviews for quite some time about Yardbird, so I was a little hesitant and set my expectations low. From the moment we walked in, everyone we encountered was so pleasant and kind; my hesitancy melted away! Our waiter Evan was phenomenal! He was so personable and gave us great recommendations when we were indecisive. Our hands never touched the bottle to pour our mimosas! He kept stopping by to fill our glasses throughout our stay. The bacon jam deviled eggs were amazing! The fried chicken was full of flavor and juicy! The crème brulee waffles, Evan recommended, were perfect! The mac & cheese was bomb! We will definitely be back soon! If you're on the fence, don't hesitate! Make a reservation for brunch and order the jalapeño bacon devil eggs!

Nestled in downtown Dallas, this Yardbird restaurant has the vibes when it comes to music and food! It was hot inside the restaurant but I truly enjoyed my meal, the appetizers, and drinks. The service was good too but the food did take quite a while to come out for a Wednesday night. It wasn't busy at all and they accommodated our large group and treated us with kindness. Here's my breakdown of each meal: *Charcuterie Board: 4/5 *Mac N Cheese: 5/5 *Fried Chicken: 5/5 *Corn Bread: 10/5 (OMG! Sooo good) *Wedge Salad: 5/5 *Caesar Salad: 3/5 (too overwhelming with cheese and dressing)

A beautiful celebratory restaurant. Wonderful service every time. On this busy Mother's Day, long waits between courses from kitchen. Delicious were the "Biscuits"; tantilizing "Deviled Eggs"; as usual, perfect "Chicken & Waffles", awful though was the serving of the non-spiced rind of 'watermelon'; ended on a sweet note of a nice "Raspberry & Cream Croissant Bread Pudding". CHEERS!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Yardbird for a Mother's Day brunch. Our waitress was quick, attentive, and friendly during our visit. The food was also 10/10, and even though we were working with a prefixed menu, the food was fresh! I am looking forward to another visit soon.

Another good brunch place worth reviewing from our monthly brunch group. This what we like: 1. Very attractive place. You will like this place 2. Parking in Clyde Warren area is a challenge but they have $10 valet but worth every penny. 3. Food quality was excellent. All six of us got something different and everyone enjoyed their meal. a. Chicken biscuit; shrimp & grits/ chicken waffle; blueberry pancakes: basic with two eggs 4. Drinks were also very good. Bloody Mary and mimosas Downside: 1. Our waiter had too many large customers and we had to ask her to handoff our table to another waiter. This worked out well for her and us. 2. This is an expensive brunch experience. It will make us hesitate to come back frequently. But for special occasions this will be Great. I would also bring an out of towner to impress.

Yardbird is located next to Klyde Warren Park so parking is VERY limited that it's best to valet. The ambience is nice, clean and spacious. For Saturday brunch, I would recommend reservations. We came for a private event and the service was amazing. We had several dishes but some of my favorite were the skillet cornbread, the fried green tomatoes topped with pork belly, the short ribs sliders and the creme brulee waffles. Would definitely keep this on my list to try again!

Charles our waiter was amazing. He was very personal and accommodating to all our requests and he did them with a genuine smile. He really took pride in his work and wanted to make our first time at yardbird a truly memorable one for the books. I appreciate his great southern hospitality. If you want great food and amazing service come to yardbird you will be blown away.

I highly recommend this place! This rating goes beyond the prime location (next to Klyde Warren Park and other eateries). This high rating is also for the amazing food and top tier service. We got an order of the delicious biscuits, the short rib pasta, and the chicken & waffles. I love how they used a cheddar biscuit instead of the traditional buttermilk waffle...don't worry, it's still sweet. I also like how the dish was paired with spiced watermelon. Our server was so nice, and he didn't act annoyed when we asked for pictures and videos. It was our anniversary, and they surprised us with 2 complimentary treats. I will definitely be back ;)

I've been to yardbird several times, but I've never reviewed it. I love yardbird. I haven't had one bad experience there, amongst any of the numerous times that I've gone. The interior of the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, and of course the food is amazing. Beware, the portion sizes are large. I've had quite a few dishes from their menu, but I'd say, if you have an appetite get the chicken and waffles. It's epic. But the menu overall is amazing. The only knock on yardbird is that your reservation time isn't always honored. There are times when I've shown up for a reservation, and wasn't seated until 15 minutes later. But this was during brunch hours, so I understand.

Ariel was fantastic! She was very friendly, knowledgeable and had great customer service. Food and ambiance were great. Plus, GF fried chicken- what a treat! Thank you.

Love the bar area. It is small in size but very impressive to look at. The design goes along with the upscale bar restaurant decor which is modern and classy. Music could have been turned down. I found it hard to hear my server. I was not all that impressed with the food. The skillet cornbread was good and flavorful. The short rib pappardelle would have been better if it was not dripping in sauce. This is a pasta dish. I should not have to fish out the pasta because there is too much sauce. The short rib meat was super tender. The sauce itself was good with the rib meat, spinach and tomato. I just wanted a little bit less of it in my plate. Service was just okay and not exceptional. I felt like I was not always being attended to. I was sitting far too long before someone came to check on me. Maybe that was because it was crowded but the amount of people should not be affecting the service.

Yardbird is definitely a well rounded place; meaning, you can go with friends for brunch or dinner.. but also take the family. the interior of the restaurant is a modern country vibe. there is plenty of seating as well, i would def make a reservation for the weekend i would stay away from this place if you dont want the family restaurant vibe and want something more romantic. i've been twice and both times, service was decent. they were kind and attentive, but there was a long wait to place drink orders. and this happened both times.

Excellent experience all around. Reservations were easy to obtain for Sunday dinner with a few days notice and a smaller party of three. We didn't have to park as we took a Lyft from the hotel to the location. Seemed to be pretty easy to find, based on my observations, just would be unsure of the parking situation downtown. The entrance is off of a driveway/courtyard area, which is nice. The entrance is very breezy - which may be important to know if you are wearing "flowy" clothing or if you tend to be cold in the "winter" months. Just outside of the entrance, they had neat hanging treehouse type of chairs. I did not partake but my colleague did and loved it. The building on the inside is really cool. It felt like an old bank style on the inside, high vaulted ceilings. and very spacious. We were greeted by a very kind host. She verified our reservation quickly and brought us to our table and within seconds, we had water and our server came shortly thereafter. ALL VERY PROMPT and VERY KIND. - Loved it! We had a couple of questions about specials and one of my colleagues needed to verify a couple of things because of food allergies. All questions were kindly answered AND she received good news, that the fried chicken did not have dairy as part of the prep process!!! She hasn't had GOOD fried chicken in a long time and was very excited for it. Here's what I had for food and drink: Spirit Free Drink - Pretty 'N' Pink - Passion Fruit, Grapefruit Juice and Q Grapefruit Soda - YUMM!!! Deviled Eggs with Roe - My first time having roe and it was an interesting taste burst on top of an amazing deviled egg!!! Skillet Cornbread! - YES Please - two of us ate right through this skillet. Lewellyn's Fine Fried Chicken - It was delicious right to the bone!!! Wow, so good and not too greasy!! I wish I lived closer to this restaurant for this reason. The collard greens - amazing!!! The truffle fries were good. Given how good everything was, I couldn't resist dessert - Key Lime Pie. That was absolutely beautiful and decadent and delicious! I absolutely recommend this location for all that it has to offer.

Beautiful location, stunning interior. Our food was outstanding! Highly recommend the collard greens as it was the highlight of the table. Our server and seating staff was also exceptional. On a previous visit, we had an unfortunate encounter with the manager, but their staff more than made up for the inconveniences that she caused. Lovely place, highly recommend, and would definitely return.

GORGEOUS VENUE!!! This place is so stunning on the inside with big windows & gorg lightning. Good service. Food was very good. The hot Nash fried chicken was great and more tasty than the rotisserie chicken. The corn is outrageously good. Tried the brussel sprouts, waffle, wedge salad which were all great. The black eyes peas not a fan. The banana cheese cake was very sweet and not my fav. Loved the apple pie came out looking like a mushroom!

Yelp 100 Challenge 2023 #73 I highly recommend Valet parking. If you don't mind walking, then there is a Harwood parking garage one block away. However, in the Texas heat I highly suggest valeting to save time and energy. Service was great. A young made waited on my friend and I and he explained the menu for us in detail. He shared that their chicken and waffles come with 1/2 a bird, cheddar waffles, and seasoned watermelon. The food was up in no time and it was delicious. We visited during the week day so there weren't many customers inside, but the food was top tier. I will gladly return to try different items on the menu and their espresso martini.

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants of all time! Every time I'm here I feel like I'm in heaven. The chicken is tender and lightly fried to perfection. The drinks are amazing and the service is legitimately top notch. It's also a very beautiful restaurant in the heart of downtown Dallas. I've tried basically all of their apps and a few entrees and they're all delicious!!

I like to consider myself one of Yardbirds biggest fans! Every time we are near a city with a location, we have to go to check it off our list. Dallas was next for us, so we reserved a few weeks in advance and made it happen! For a starter, we ordered the buttermilk biscuits as always. They were fluffy and oh, so tasty. My mother always orders the fried chicken and it never disappoints. She accompanies it with a side of fries, which are tasty as well. I often switch it up, and I think I may have found my new favorite - the Lemon Rosemary Rotisserie Bird. I opted for the market vegetables instead of the mashed potatoes, and I'm glad I did. Some of the best chicken and vegetables I've ever had at Yardbird. Be prepared for a pricy meal, but in my opinion, it's worth it every once in a while for a nice treat.

Made reservations for this place since it was a brunch on Sunday. It wasn't super packed but still need reservations just in case. Waited about 20 mins after since we added 2 to the party to make 9. The place is always clean and nice. Really relax and casual spot. Collard greens 5/10 - missing some sort of flavor for me Deviled Eggs 5/10 - not creamy enough for me Fried tomatoe - 8/10 - different and better than i thought Mango salad 8/10 Mac & cheese 7/10 Fried chicken 6/10 - was kinda cold and not crispy Shrimp and grits - 8/10 - really good but would ask for sauce on the side Biscuit and gravy - 7/10 - not enough gravy ordered extra and gravy was super thick Lemon pancakes 3/10 - really dry and cooked too long. Came out last Burnt ends - 5/10 Beignets - 10/10 French fries 7/10 - good sauce Overall cute spot to have brunch but I would probably order drinks elsewhere since drinks are a little on the expensive side here.

I absolutely love this place. I've been to the YardBird in Vegas and this one stands up just as well. If you are at least a party of 3, consider getting the whole bird and getting a few different sides. Our waiter was also amazing.

Parking was very easy, greeted upon entrance... really nice restaurant with great ambiance. Options for brunch and separate menu for dinner. Ariel our waitress was very informative especially being that I don't eat pork and some items are fried or cooked in pork oils or Lard, plenty of gluten free items that allows them not to cook it in lard so that was amazing. Great time and great food.

All of the food was amazing. The flavor was just right not too salty. Ordered the steak frites, grilled chicken skewers and a side of brussel sprouts and they all hit the spot. The servers were kind and the spot feels upscale casual which is a great combination. You don't have to feel like you need to dress up to be in there.

Overall had a great brunch experience here! Started with a mimosa (can't go wrong there) and a green giant juice. Both were great. The kids got a kids burger, I got the Country Biscuits (gravy on the side) and my husband got the seasonal omelette but customized it with a bunch of veggies. Kids burgers were great. Loved the combination of meats used. The biscuit entree was also very good but the fried chicken was pretty bland. I had to make sure I got a bite of the biscuit, chicken, bacon and egg to ensure I got a seasoned bite. My husbands omelette was good but looked a bit dry. We ended with a cinnamon roll and I'm so glad we only got one because it was so rich! Overall definitely happy with everything and would come back and try some other options!

Way overpriced and just stupid and silly to spend that kind of money on mediocre fried chicken and soul food. Beautiful venue yet the service was a bit too slow, but I don't see the big deal about this place other than to prove you can afford to valet your car and overpay on fried food to impress your friends. Whoop-di-freaking-doo. Try Neighborhood Services Sunday night fried chicken dinner instead for a much better meal and deal and then you can thank me later.

The only complaint I had was the full valet, but you can't really blame the restaurant for being popular! I came for dinner on Valentine's Day and it was all really delicious. It's on the pricier end for southern food, but it's gorgeous inside and the food is foodie heaven. The service was ok! I had to flag our waiter down a lot, but it was a holiday, so incredibly forgivable. I am going to come back and I am going to order 3 dishes and regret it when I'm laying in bed half asleep!

So I've been into the location in Vegas and wanted to try them out here in Dallas. Did not disappoint. My go to is the chicken and waffles which is highly recommended you get and possibly share with someone; such a huge portion! Good brunch spot.

The interior of this restaurant is beautiful. It would be a great place for a celebration. I came with a couple and their kid on a Sunday morning for brunch. I had the watermelon sling drink which was awesome. My friend has the turmeric tonic and said it was refreshing. Her husband had the spirit free passion fruit breeze. We ordered fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and they were delicious. So were the complimentary biscuits. I ordered the huevos rancheros and substituted the chips for hash browns and it was excellent! My friend ordered the burger. She said it was just alright and wouldn't order it again. Her husband got the chicken and waffles. It was a huge portion and he loved it. their kid got the Mac and cheese and it was great too. We shared a side of cornbread which was good but nothing special. Lots of to-go boxes to take home. So many great options to try next time. The server was kind and attentive. We would absolutely return.

The service is amazing but not consistent we've been a couple of times and sometimes they are very attentive and quick & other times not today we didn't get our cocktails until the end of our dinner after our entrees came out. However the quality of food is always consistent!

We had a family style meal and shared everything. The waffles were delicious and the chicken was juicy. The service was amazing! I can't wait to come back!

We come here often. The food and drinks are good, it's an upbeat atmosphere, and a. Ice patio. Great for parties, and the service is always prompt.

I can't even express enough how much I'm obsessed with this place! Everything was absolutely amazing and this is my favorite restaurant now. If me and my boyfriend lived here, we would go all the time! We had the biscuits as an app. He ordered the Stl ribs, I had the sweet tea braised short ribs and we ordered a side of the Mac n cheese. Everything was so flavorful! The sweet tea braised short ribs had some flavors of mild spice and sweetness so when you combined it together, top notch flavors! Mac n cheese was very creamy and delicious. This place had a great ambiance as well with great lighting and a beautiful bar. If you haven't been, please go!

Visited on a Saturday after brunch, got seated very quickly. Very beautiful restaurant, staff was nice but the food was lackluster. Fried green tomatoes - underwhelming, tomato was crunchy but not very flavorful and the pork belly was chewy but surprisingly bland. If I'd closed my eyes, I wouldn't have known it was there. This dish had nice texture but no flavor bedsides the sauce on top. Cornbread- very good, probably the best thing we ate. But bread alone cannot carry a meal. Short rib papardelle- tasty enough, no complaints or recommendations. Collard greens- very flavorful, but half of the small portion was just stems. I wouldn't have minded the size so much if I'd had more actual collard greens instead of collard stems. It appeared as if they served the scraps from the bottom of the pot after brunch. Drinks- cocktails had were Paper Plane and one I can't remember, impressive ingredients but execution fell flat, just like the food.

FANTASTIC!!!!! I really loved the experience here. I must say I wasn't expecting this spot to be so great. The food was on another level!!! I'm so happy we have it a shot. The menu is short and has an interesting list of things but literally everything we ordered was amazing. We were a party of 11 people. They accommodated us very easily. We had a nice set up in the back near the open kitchen. Since my sisters and I were celebrating our birthday we also got a complimentary deserts each. Between the whole party we ordered the whole bird fried chicken, Cajun pasta, chicken and waffles, salmon, Steak Rosewood Ranch American Wagyu and the Truffle Parmesan Fries, and skillet cornbread. We ordered smoked fish dip as well. Literally alllll of it was good! Everyone tried each others food and my sisters are all super picky, we liked everything! You can tell everything is made in house down to the sauces which were also amazing. Two of my sisters are pregnant and they had nonalcoholic drink options. I highly recommend this spot! I can't way to try the one in my area. Tip: parking is difficult to find but they have a couple of garages and street parking. There's also a valet lot I think it was $10 which was cheaper than the $17 garage parking.

We came here for the first time on Christmas Eve. The location and ambiance were great, I loved it! All of the food was absolutely delicious. The cocktails were great too. The service was a little slow, we probably would've ordered one more drink if so much time didn't go by in between him checking on our table. Everything else made up for that, though. I definitely want to come back for brunch!

If you have an opportunity to try Yardbird out be sure to! The food is absolutely amazing. The drinks are cute a bit pricey but worth it in my opinion. I love their dessert as well. I mean I'm big on aesthetics and they definitely offer that here and the service has always been on point!

This place can be hard to get into. I recommend a reservation. It's totally worth it though. Great fried chicken and southern staples. The staff is very personal and the building looks super cool. Perfect for a date night.
