"Free delivery within a 2-mile radius of East Acton. Otherwise call. If you’re in the mood for a brunch that doesn’t involve smashed avocado or sourdough, order the excellent manakeesh from this Lebanese bakery in Acton. You can order for collection from 9am, and delivery from 12pm, and the spinach and cheese and lahm bi ajeen make a great brunch any day of the week. They’re £2.50 a pop, so order a few, eat some for breakfast, and snack on the rest throughout the day. A slice at 2pm, another dipped in hummus at 4pm, and that’s lunch sorted too." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"This is our favourite place to get mana’eesh in the whole of London. Not just because the playlist consists exclusively of Lebanese classics, but because one of the best ways to spend a lazy, hungry, morning is at this lowkey Acton spot. Minced meat and cheese, on Lebanese flatbread baked in a clay oven is our favourite order. A close second is the spinach and cheese which is equal parts tangy, savoury, and addictive. And because it’s a restaurant as well as a bakery - and they know that excellent mana’eesh are meant to be eaten all day - you can get them until they close at 10pm." - rianne shlebak
"If you’ve ever had manakeesh, then you’ll understand how important it is that this Lebanese bakery serves them until 10pm. And Yasmina’s manakeesh, is some of the best in London. You can head there at 1pm on a Sunday for a platter of minced meat and cheese (or spinach and cheese) manakeesh and it’ll be just as good as when you come at 7pm on a Wednesday." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"If you’ve ever had manakeesh, you’ll understand how important it is that this Lebanese bakery serves them until 10pm. And they’re not any old manakeesh, but some of the best in London. The brunch at this Acton spot isn’t limited by time, you aren’t judged for rocking up at 4pm in need of some doughey, meaty goodness. You can head there at 1pm on a Sunday for a platter of minced meat and cheese, or spinach and cheese manakeesh, and it’ll be just as good as when you come at 7pm on a Wednesday. Basically, what we’re trying to say is, whatever time of day it is, get the manakeesh. It’s usually populated with regulars coming in for a chilled brunch, or a speedy shish taouk and fattoush lunch, but don’t let anything distract you from what you came for. And for £3.50 a pop it’s London’s best bet for brunch on a budget." - rianne shlebak
"Acton probably wasn’t on your list of places to visit. It doesn’t have an aquarium, and the chances of bumping into an off-duty royal (even a minor one) are slim. But it does have Yasmina, a Lebanese bakery serving the best mana’eesh in the city—and that’s exactly what you need when it’s grey, miserable, and only carbs will do. Our favourite thing to get here is the spinach mana’eesh with extra cheese, or the lahm bi ajeen. This simple, family-run spot isn’t somewhere you spend hours in, but it’s worth travelling to for a doughy breakfast." - rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
