Love this place! The service and food was great! They were able to accommodate a party of 20 last minute and did a fabulous job!! The wait wasn't as long as we anticipated. Thank you! We all can't wait to visit again! 🥰🫶🙌🏽

I had my wedding reception here. We had a private room with bartender and servers. The service was amazing. The food was delicious .my party of 28 had an amazing time. Afterwards we went upstairs to the bar and enjoyed some more delicious drinks. The lighting was nice and low it fit the occasion. There was also a live entertainer that night. He played the guitar beautifully and sang songs that we danced to. This was a great night for my wife and myself.

I’ve been here a couple of times definitely my favorite place to go to before a concert or game at Barclay’s. The staff is friendly and great on suggesting food and drinks. Saturday nights they have live music which is my favorite and the vibe is like no other. A friendly classy restaurant with great cocktails, food and prices. We went for a birthday celebration. The food was excellent and definitely budget friendly and we orderedway too much!! The Seafood Paella was out of this world. However, the staff is lacking. Took too long for our dinner and our waitress pretty much disappeared. She wanted me to sign the receipt again even though I already had paid the bill with the manager. I had to confirm with them that my bill was only processed once. Will I go back? Maybe.....

Excellent food, great music and very pleasant, gracious staff. The food reasonably priced considering the quality you can tell some heart and care went into the preparation.. Highly recommend

Service was a little slow. It was understandable because there was a concert. The restaurant was kind of packed. The food was delicious. The server didn't understand too much of anything either English or Spanish. She got my order wrong but made it up with some extra sangria .I will definitely visit again and give then another try.

This is my second time coming here and I can definitely say I should've came back sooner. The restaurant has a takeout section and dining hall and the dining hall looks really clean and kinda fancy. I took my girlfriend here for Mother's Day and she loved it. The service was good as the staff came to help us out often even though it was full. The food was also delicious as well. Would def recommend giving this spot a try if you haven't.

On a Saturday afternoon I visited Yayos which is on 5th Ave a block from Barclays Center in Brooklyn . The spot was fairly empty but was crowded when we left . It's a chill vibe . If you're looking for authentic Latin Cuisine this is your spot . I had the best coffee with plain ole milk . It was rich and creamy . I wanted brunch so I ordered steak and eggs with home fries. The home fries are delicious ! Flank steak is a tradition which was fine since it's thin and I don't eat steak often . It was well cooked . ( I asked for it med rare but oh well .. lol ) My friend had La Resaca traditional dish that included Salami, Egg, fried Dominican cheese and Mangu ( boiled and mashed green plantains with onions ) . The food took a while to come but the service was outstanding . The waiter was attentive . Since it's brunch we need drinks no ? I had a Mojito which was excellent! It's a spot you definitely want to visit ! Ohh - I almost forgot they have take out ! The entrance is through the take out side and you wait to be seated on the dine in side . So if you're in a hurry - you can grab and go . I feel like I want some soup this week on my way home to Queens - so I'm going to grab me some Sanchocho to go !

I come for the Mofongo... and the ice. My garlicky pernil Mofongo (lightly-fried green plantain with pork mixed into a flat mountain form, topped, then surrounded by the sauce of your chooosing) into a arrived and I didn't even think about taking pictures! I ate it and enjoyed every morsel of the delicate balance of moisture without oversaturation. The portion is big enough for 2 people to share and the take home container fit my "extra" half perfectly. I peered over at my Love's food and nabbed 2 chicharrón de pollo con huesos (bone-in fried chicken chunks) drizzled with freshly-squeezed lemon juice. He graced me with a heaping spoonful of white rice and black beans. Flavorful chicken, from a women's who isn't the biggest chicken fan. Shout out to the chef. The food is consistently 4 to 5 stars. There are 2 dining rooms, and we opted for the very rear, which had music, a bar area, a stage, and a gender neutral restroom. Our server was pleasant and urged us to take our time and enjoy our meal. Thanks a bunch. We opted out of dessert, but I had MY treat, a cup of their delicious ice...heaven ('s ice) must be like this!

Food and service pretty good. No rush no frills kind of place. The menus are on digital iPads and this restaurant is a block away from the Barclays center so a great way to start the day by catching a drink or some grub before or after a game or event. They also have free parking across the street which is also nice. The restaurant is split into 3 levels the first being for take out orders, the second is for dine in and the third is a bar with a stage as some nights they also host live acts so you can watch a musical performance and have a drink or 2. A nice spot if in the neighborhood or on a date if you love Spanish food or want to try it definitely check it out. I left here super full so you will want to wear lose clothing (don't say I didn't warn you lol). Nice spot check it out! They also have a happy hour special during the week!

The food was good the rice needed just a little more flavor not salt just flavor, but was still good. The server kept forgetting what I asked for that was annoying. The place and vibe was great only thing the bathroom had no toilet paper. It needs to be checked through out the day if it needs to be refilled or cleaned.

Stumbled across this place by accident and it ended up being a great time. When you walk in there is a buffet set up and in the back you can sit down and eat it's a very large area spacious, clean and welcoming. We were able to sit wherever we wanted and we're handed iPads as menus. To drink we started with a Red sangria which was good and a White sangria which was made on the spot it was ok but not better than the red. I asked the bartender to make something he thought was good and he brought over a Coconut margarita with Don Julio reposado it was very good I definitely recommend. For starters I ordered the Tostones rellenos which were good the guacamole was fresh and shrimp were a great size, I ordered another one that ended coming out late so I took it home. For my entree I ordered the Broiled salmon which came with asparagus and I got yellow rice and black beans on the side so good! My friend got the Pollo relleno stuffed chicken breast with salmon and sweet, plantain and mushroom sauce and he got fried plantains on the side this was also a good dish excellent portion size. The inside of this place is decorated with paintings of Brooklyn legends and monuments, it's also walking distance from the Barclays and a beautiful touch on the area.

Visited on a spur of the moment, and they didn't disappoint. I gave them 4 stars, but they are somewhere really in the 3.5 range for me, in my opinion. They wasn't any real critiques for me to give them a straight 3 stars. Ambiance is pretty basic, you can dine in or grab to go. They have televisions and there is a full bar. I ordered red sangria, and it was batched. It wasn't full on body, not the best sangria I have had. Service was A1, i was treated very warmly on my visit. The food was ok, I wish there was a little more seasoning but maybe that is by design. My grilled chicken was dry, but onions added flavor. You can always season up, hard to season down. All in all, a good experience.

My boyfriend took me for Mother's Day today and this is what I got and I just have to say the food was amazing the butter sauce was so good on the shrimp scampi and the virgin pina colada was sooooo good too my favorite thing so far for my first time the table itself was nicely decorated and we had great space for a group of six including two small children we got really nice pictures taken as well for $20 I will definitely be coming back

I like coming here for a good after work happy hour drink. The drinks are well made and flavorful and for the price it is great even the presentation is great. The hospitality here is very welcoming the food very tasteful. The calamari I had was nicely fried with marinara sauce on the side. The roast park is always very tender and well seasoned. The ambiance is always neat clean and organized. Definitely great for groups or even a date night a block away from the Barclays center. I highly recommend

I Came here before a Nets game and it was pretty empty. The decor inside is pretty nice. On one side they have a take out area and then the other side is dine in. We had the beef empanadas, shrimp scampi with yellow rice and beans, chicken parmigiana with tostones. I highly recommend the chicken parmigiana and the empanadas! Unfortunately they don't have pasta as a side so I paired it with tostones. The tostones lacked salt and overall flavor. I'm the past when I've had tostones they are salted or there's a garlic sauce accompanied with it but what they gave me was moreso garlic in oil. Sadly I didn't enjoy it. The shrimp scampi was tasty and cooked perfectly. The food is definitely fresh. Everything we had came out piping hot! It's a pretty casual ambiance in my opinion , good for popping in before the game, solo date or even a good stop to grab a bite before you start your night out on the town. Street parking is hard to find and parking garages will be on the pricey side if there's an event happening at Barclays.

This place is awesome! Was headed to a show at the Barclays Center and wanted to eat beforehand. My friend recommended we come here and it was so great! I got the kale caesar salad (and added avocado + salmon) and he got lamb chops with rice and beans (and plantains). My food was so fresh and delicious and he loved his too! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Can't wait to come back for another awesome meal!

Such a nice place! Very cozy and the ambience was amazing. We went on a Saturday and they had live music. I don't who the artist was but she was singing beautifully and it just made the Roth at much better. Now, for the food. It was delicious Latin cuisine. We had mofonguitos (plantain goodness with shrimp), and calamari. It was very good. For entrees we had the skirt steak. Everything was so yummy and filling. The drinks were also so good! I had the passion fruit mojito my fave, and my husband had the morrir soñando which was to die for. The price was also reasonable! We will definitely be back!

We stumbled into here for a last minute late dinner and was extremely pleased we did! The restaurant was spacious and extremely clean. They provide you with a digital menu which is nice since where we sat was pretty dim. The drinks were so delicious and beautifully presented. We received our food extremely fast and the portions were large- both the chicken and steak were perfectly juicy!

I've been eating at the 5th Avenue location since I was a kid. I remember having countless outings to Yayo for "special occasions" (birthdays, graduations etc.) I eat here atleast once a month. Located a few blocks from Barclays Center in the heart of Brooklyn!! Always friendly and welcoming staff. Free Parking Lot located across the street. Some of my favorite dishes... *Yayo Steak- skirt steak smothered with Onions w/ white rice and black beans *Oxtail- with yellow rice and red beans *Arozzo con Pollo- yellow rice, juicy chicken thighs, peas and carrots. *Shrimp/ grilled or scampi, you can't go wrong *Yucca Fritta- the dipping sauce is addictive *Fried Tostones- garlic mojo sauce

Initially not the first place I'd choose to eat in the neighborhood but stopped by on a Friday with my kids and was supper impressed by the service, quality of food, portion size and price! Can't wait to return.

Yayo's has been a staple in Park Slope for many years! I grew up going to this restaurant all the time. I went back recently for a group dinner and was glad to see that they have the same warm family atmosphere. The servers were very patient with our large group, and although the food was cold, it was still tasty! In my opinion Yayo's makes some of the best arroz con gandules I've had! Glad to see they are still going strong!

Traveled from Queens a few months ago for some Yayo's! This restaurant has been around for years and it had been years since I had dined there. Guess what? They still got it! The food was delicious as expected. Everything I ordered--from the empanadas (forgot to take a picture because I was very hungry), Buffalo wings, Churrasco steak & arroz and kale salad. Was only slightly disappointed in the ambience as it appeared the restaurant had been through some changes since I last dined there. The wait staff were friendly, courteous and did an excellent job at serving us. They were very attentive. Plan to visit again very soon...

I visit on annual basis. The usual staples are very good. The portions are large. I usually order pernil with rice and beans. Other times I ordered the pork chop and octopus salad. The price are reasonable cheap- very affordable given the high inflation these days.

Great ambience, good food, good for a large party and typical Latin food. Drinks were good and the prices were good in comparison to other restaurants. Prices in general, were average and service was good. They had a live singer performing and she was amazinnng, I believe her name was Marisol. She definitely elevated the experience of dining here.

Came here for a Family Lunch date. They have a take out section and a sit down area. Good service from the start. We were seated right away. Ordered the chicken empanadas that come in 2, you have to choose two of the same empanadas. Also had rice and beans, wings, tostones and chicharrón de pollo. Empanadas were absolutely delicious. Rest of the food was yummy too. Music was salsa classics, definitely a vibe! Expect to pay $30-$50 for an entree.

Very poor service. A bunch of employees but yet not hospitable. Very unprofessional having so many side conversations while not assisting customers. Poor communication and then already prepared food out still takes long to receive. Not okay. Lastly, have a menu with items that's not available to order. What's the point of listing the item then?!?! Only giving it an extra star because the food is decent. You've been warned.

First - The food was pretty good along with our waiter. I would have give 5 stars BUT the experience and the dealing with the manager Robert on Saturday Oct 21 in the evening before going to the Barclays Depeche Mode concert was the reason 5 stars were not given. NOTE - We were seated in the 2nd area where the bar is located. We were not offered a choice of a table in the 1st area nor was there mention of the live entertain starting soon. This is important later on. Everything was fine when we ordered our drinks. My husband and i were able to have a short conversation where we could hear each other. Then the live entertain began with one of the musicians ( on a drum machine) testing out the equipment. There was 2 tables to the left of us, they were unfortunately closest to the big hanging speaker. All we could hear is loud banging from the speaker. We all looked at each like where is the loud sound coming from?! I noticed the closest table to the speaker talk to the waiter - obviously complaining. Our food came and the noise is still happening. I then ask our waiter to please have the speaker sound lowered. By then the musical act was performing and the sound was horrendous. The table closest to us was already paying their bill and saying something to the waiter about the sound. They quickly left. The table to our right was complaining as well. At that point a couple was seated to our left and they looked at us regarding the noise. I told them i would say something to a manager. Thats when i walked over to the front and asked to see a manager. One of the staff introduced me to Robert. As soon as i said the tha speakers were too loud. He interrupted me with a defensive response. To paraphrase- You can sit in the other section. We have live entertainment. We advertise this. Me: i was not informed when we were getting seated that the section we were being seated at was live music and that we had a choice to sit elsewhere. Then i said - moving folks after they already started eating is not a solution. You should consider your customers. I told him we were leaving and the couple that had just been seated was complaing alo g wothr the other table. He did not care. Not even an apology or let me check that areato see whats going on. I have never had a manager at a restaurant or else where not even make an attempt to resolve the issue. It was not just me with the complaint, the waiter had mentioned the other complaints for the other tables. We wanted to get more drinks but not with the noise and with the attitude i just received from Robert. I told the couple at table next to us to ask for another table and they were moved when we were leaving. When we were exiting a man from the other table next to us was asking one of the employees for the manager and i said to him good luck. Its a shame that the customer service (Manager)is so bad here. Make sure you request the 1st section (not the 2nd space) where the live music plays after 7pm. Or go before 7pm.

If you are looking for the best authentic Latin Cuisine, look no further! The food was so good I forgot to take photos of the plates! This restaurant perfectly blends the excitement of NY, the coolness of Brooklyn and the amazing classic flavors you crave when you think of Latin fare. I could honestly eat the beef empanadas made here every day for the rest of my life! Washed down with a passion fruit mojito...nothing better. I was taken here for the first time by my Puerto Rican/Dominican husband. One of his family's all time favorites. Prepare to spend time enjoying a meal in a casual setting while taking in the vibe of the neighborhood. Not the place to go if you are in a hurry or have a set timeline. Although service wasn't slow, we waited quite a while for the check after the meal. Didn't mind too much as we were enjoying the table conversation. You definitely do not feel rushed here! Great for either a date or a family dinner. Servers are friendly and speak both English and Spanish. We will definitely be going back soon, a gem.

I want to start off by saying this is not the first time I've experienced bad, no sorry horrible service here. Again, I ordered an entree and the entree was not available at the time. The order gies through. I get no call that the entree was no longer available. They sent whatever they felt like. When I called there was no apology or any compassion for their mistake. I spoke with the manager, Robert, who claims to be the sole proprietor of the restaurant and everything goes through him. He said the only thing he can do is give me a refund of the wrong item. Mind you, they sent me beef, I'm allergic to it. It's been 4 days and still no refund! Shame on you, Robert, for hanging up on me for simply inquiring on my refund!

I ordered the chicken soup and I was given this!!!!! Raw chicken in my soup with fat on it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. And it's sad because Spanish sopa (for all of my hispanics) are supposed to make you feel better when you are sick. Crazy how this is in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn and you get served this crap. Make sure to check your food if you do eat from this dump.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had! The food was salty and the manager, waitress and bartender were very disrespectful! They had no patiences for questions and the answers were still questionable. This is the second time we have dined here and it will be our last. They even snatch the check from my nephews hand! Nasty and disrespectful !!! Pick another place!!!!

Whenever I was bar hopping in Park Slope or attending an event at Barclay's, I'd somehow always find myself at Yayo's. It was the consummate meet up spot, always had adequate seating, and featured the kind of comfort / contemporary Latin fare that I always enjoyed. I still distinctly remember this place as El VIejo Yayo, which I was told was a borough staple for several decades. Several years back they renovated and simplified the brand to Yayo's, all while keeping their food to the same standard in the process. The neighborhood was changing, so it only made sense that they did the same. The best part of dining here was I managed to find something that fit my mood at the time. Winter blues? A lovely bowl of sancocho. A drunken stupor? Arroz con pollo. Happy hour with friends? A side of tostones and a cubano sandwich. When I felt like treating myself it would be their oxtail platter or a combination platter with moros and pernil. Just thinking about it all makes me happy. And of course, my ups had their occasional downs. Some days the service was apathetic and the ambiance was lackluster and some other days their food (mainly the mofongo, paella, and stuffed anything) was just passable. The prices were a reflection of the area and the drinks were always strong. When normalcy resumes, I can envision a visit in (hopefully) the not so distant future.

I was Brooklyn and was starving. I sauntered into Yayos and had roasted chicken yellow rice with plantains. I also ordered the appetizers of the shrimp mofongo with garlic sauce. The monfongo was delicious‼

two weeks ago on July 19th 2023 I held my wedding reception at this restaurant. During the process of selecting this venue, my husband and I spoke with the manager of Yayo's Latin cuisine, and we were very specific about how we wanted everything to be set up on the day of the wedding. I asked the manager to please have all the food set up and ready for my guest to eat upon arrival. He promised me that everything would be set up and ready to go. The day of the wedding the manager did not have the food ready and we had to wait another 45 minutes to have the food ready to be served buffet style. When I went up to the manager to ask why the food wasn't ready he said it is ready, we'll bring it down immediately, but it took forever and the two employees he had assisting us they look unpleased, unhappy, and was moving very slowly with no sense of urgency. The two ladies didn't even know we had requested to have an open bar tab?? The manager did not communicate with the employees?? I had reserve the party room from 5pm to 9pm and they used my time to set up the food and soft drinks on the tables. When I asked the manager if we could extend the time since the buffet was not ready promptly at 5pm as we requested he said NO. At the end I requested food containers for some of my guest to take food home, I was told by one of the employees that the manager was going to charge me for each container and plastic bag. The manager was rude, and did not make any effort to facilitate us in order for us to have a wonderful evening. I had a family member get there early to supervise the arrival of my cake, flowers, and our main table for the bride and groom was not set up. Bottom line we spend too much money for bad service and to put up with bad attitude from the manager. I regret using this venue for my wedding reception. Came here before going to Kane Brown and the vibe was just right . The environment was friendly and warm. I sat at the bar had the monfongitos with shrimp in white sauce that was delicious and also had the octopus salad. The sangria was yummy and the service was impeccable. Have to return to try the oxtail.

I've been coming to this place for over six years even before covid. It's so disappointing that they still have not improve on the Latin cuisine. My sister's friend gave my sister a surprise birthday party and I was hoping once I found a restaurant that the food would be different or may be a new chef but to my disappointment the food was tasteless but no season. We had a party of 25 . Out of the 8 people at my table only 3 enjoyed their food of Arroz con Pollo.. 3 fish dishes, I had a nice looking red snapper fried. No seasoning not even salt and pepper but it looks so pretty on the plate as the rest of the dish dishes that was served pork chops over cooked with no seasoning, Bland yellow rice & beans. The shrimp dish sauce was delicious but the shrimps were Overcook but the steamed mix vegetables & Fried yuca were delicious. I requested the manager to taste the fish which he declined but offered me another dish. I declined but I ordered the steak to go since I had appetizers of calamari which is fried well What does sauce taste like somebody put ketchup in water. And I was told that some of the fish had a fishy smell even though fried. The only thing that can help this restaurant is a new chef or a sous chef. The staff was wonderful and bartenders made wonderful drinks and solo performer save the day along with a great group of people that didn't complain about the poor appetizers/food. which was cook with no seasoning also! So thankful that the birthday girl ordered lamb chops which I tasted and they were excellent. Buffalo wings were over cooked and the sauce couldn't even help it! It's a shame that they are representing Latin cuisine. With no garlic onions or adobo seasoning. The bartender and the soloist could not save this restaurant even though they both are good. I don't know the numbers have to be going down but sometime you have to realize that if the chef is not good and the food is not good no one wants to go back! And you cannot blame this on the epidemic how bad it was but my Neighbors dog enjoyed The steak that I have in place for the fish.. Hoping that everything gets better but no orders in OR out for me!

Love the food and the staff is very attentive all around A++. Can not go wrong with any choice. Love the lemon soup.

I walked in to look at the food they had on display in the take out side of the restaurant and there was a fat roach crawling on the rim of food counter by the glass. Absolutely DISGUSTING! No thanks...

My boyfriend surprised me with a date night here, it was our first time and we loved it! We came hungry and we were ready to eat! We ordered chicken empanadas to start and the rum punch pitcher, so good. Next we had chicken mofongo and fried pork chops, we loved both especially the pork chops. Felt like we were back in the Caribbean. We'll be back for their brunch. Highly recommend

This location is WAYYYYY WAYYY different than the one in Sunset Park, now named El Viejo "Yayo's". When a friend of mine asked if I wanted to go to YaYos for dinner, first thing that came to mind was Heck Nooo. Then when I heard there was a different location which was literally walking distance from where I was at, at the time, I decided to give in & try it. Surprisingly I was very satisfied wit the restaurant front, the ambiance, and the food. I ordered the pork chops with rice & beans and was left with a happy tummy. Pretty good spot right here people ;-)

There were so many options, we decided on the steak special, and youre safe at any spanish spot with porkchops. The porkchops, I wasnt ready for the size. Two huge porkchops seasoned heavily and authenticly. You can feel family and home getting down on the rice and beans(I add a little hot sauce, thats how i live my life). My wife had the steak special that we thought came with shrimp and we had clams, mussels, sauce, wow. Steak was cooked as medium as we had asked, juicy, flavorful, but the seafood stole the show. My mother in law had suggested this place for us, and she couldnt have been more right! If youre not dominican when you come in, youre dominican when you leave! See you again soon!

Zero stars! Fish bones in a pepper steak? How is this possible? Disgusting $55 tossed to the garbage. Thank God I didn't choke... NEVER again! This place should be closed down.

A Hispanic restaurant, more specifically Dominican food, that was not busy during the dinner time even through it is right next to the Barclays Center. Inside the restaurant, there were three different sections that provide different type of services. Entering The Restaurant is the quick meal section with little to no service and next to it is the causal sit down and dinner section. In order to get to the full bar section, you have to go through the casual dining section. I wanted to grab a quick meal to catch a basketball and sat at the quick meal section. I got the oxtail with rice and bean($6.50) which is alright. The oxtail was in brown gravy like sauce. It was a bit bland with not enough spices but the meat on the oxtail was soft. The rice was a bit on the dry side and the bean was just okay. For the price that I pay for, I should not have high expectations. At least the portion was pretty big. I might come back again.

Great authentic food, tasty drinks and all at an amazingly good price. With a group and we were going to a concert at Barclays. This was the only place that could sit a large party. We told staff ahead of time that we had a concert and they were able to deliver the food to our table in an efficient amount of time.

Made reservations for a party of 15 two weeks before the college graduation. When we arrived tables were ready. The room was nice. However that was it. The wait for service was ridiculous. We arrived at Noon and left at 4 pm. Food was not worth the wait nor the price. Our water was never even refilled. They are not prepared for large groups at all,

Went there the other night before a show at the Barclays , sat down 20 minutes before my wife and I were acknowledged, finally the waitress shows up takes our drink order and we also put in our food order at the same time. Drinks took 15 minutes for a beer and a glass of wine, after an hour and no drink refills, we are told we ran out of chicken, the waitress says if you want beef I can bring that right away so we said yes. 10 minutes she shows up with 1 plate of food a tiny potion she drops it on the table between us and says sorry this is all we have left and rudely walks away, they claimed to have run out of food at 6:00pm the night of a Sebastian Maniscalco show ....really we got up and walked out. This restaurant should be embarrassed.

This restaurant is the most disgusting place I have ever been. The roasted chicken I'm showing you was pink inside and tasteless, the order of Yellow plantain were all raw in the inside, when I told the waitress she did not bother asking if I wanted it fixed she just came back with another nasty batch which tasted just like dirty oil. The pernil supposedly is marinated for 24 hours.... BULLS*#T It tasted like it was marinated for 5 minutes it was sooooooooo bland. They never gotta worry about seeing my face in there again ..... ever.....

It's good to see some of my favorite restaurants still standing after the pandemic. I found the food to be different from years ago but still delicious. They no longer offer pork mofongo so I ordered from the appetizers a plain mofongito with garlic sauce, absolutely delicious. My lunch date had the shrimp mofongo with a white sauce-that was amazing. The beef empanada was light, crispy, & flavorful. The yucca fries were well done, not over cooked or soggy. The fried pork chop was very thick but tasty. The pina colada needed a lil more alcohol but the sangria was refreshing. The prices went up understandably, it was worth it.

Had a wonderful time here,my first visit. We had a private room for a school meeting and eating. The service was wonderful, both wait staff and bartender. Everyone provided all we asked for. The food was served quickly and tasted delicious. Fried plantains, roasted chicken, beef stew, cod fish, rice and beans: all were very well seasoned and tasty. PS I must apologize for not returning the pair of scissors leant to me. I left it on the bar. I will certainly return to visit this restaurant.

One of my favorite Spanish restaurants in Brooklyn!!! I love the mondongo soup as well as the avocado salad is full of pure yummy goodness!! I've tried pretty much of everything on the menu through the years and every choice was always well seasoned and tasty. The staff are always nice and accommodating, but best of all they have parking across the street so no need to worry about searching for parking. Huge plus, because that's a very busy area. If you have to go to a show a the Barclays theater, that's a great pit stop for after.

I came here with both my parents and they gave us a octopus salad and there was barely any octopus in the salad. I also ordered a ribeye steak and it was kinda burnt and I also ordered a lemonade that was really bad

Average alert.! The food was nothing to shout about. They overcooked the different meats that I tried and the rice was dry. Some items were also very salty. The flavor was not bad but items were either cooked too much or too little and full of salt. Need to sort that out. The good thing is the prices aren't bad so that is a plus.

YAYOS has been a favorite restaurant of mine for nearly 20 years (different name before). The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and courteous. I've had many group events there and also used them for catering. They are a nice spot for a date or family gathering. Food is always delicious.
