I would say this place is more like 3.5 than 4. Our kids stopped by to get bubble tea and told us about their dim sum. Even though we can get it in Atlanta, we decided to stop by. We did not realize the tea ceremony was part of the experience. We were told that by one of the servers who somewhat made it sound like we should've known it. Basically, about $30 of your bill will be from the teas and if you're ok with that, go ahead. We ordered 5 dishes, and they were all pretty good. 3 teas we selected were also good. The main lady who made the tea for us suddenly disappeared and never came back so we were left wondering for a while. I guess she figured I should know how to do this because I'm Asian? Other than the service, it was a decent experience. They have a huge selection of teas so if you're into it, I'm sure you'll enjoy more.

Very memorable tea + dumplings experience! The tea ceremony was so interesting and I thought it was so fun that we all got to bring our own tea choice to the table. Dumplings were all so good and even the vegan ones were amazing!

Google
Absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was calm, inviting, and genuinely authentic. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable as they shared the history behind the teas, their health benefits, cultural significance, and even the purpose of the different teapots. Everyone was so helpful! The other customers were also friendly and even recommended their favorite teas, which made the experience feel communal and open. They also offered cold tea samples along with recipes, and every one of them was absolutely delicious. You are able to purchase any selection of teas, teapots, and tea sets. Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing, enriching, and flavorful experience!

Google
We absolutely loved our experience here! The tea was amazing, and the food was just as impressive. We tried the chocolate mint, Hawaiian punch, and cinnamon chai teas, each one was delicious in its own way. We sampled a variety of food items, and while everything was great, my personal favorites were the family recipe summer rolls, chicken dumplings, and juicy chicken buns. The atmosphere is so relaxing, and the seating setup is really unique. We especially enjoyed the tea ceremony, our host was incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about the teas and how to serve them properly. My husband loved it so much he’s already talking about coming back tomorrow!

Ordering is a bit hectic and confusing but once you get a table, the experience is awesome. Incredible tea selection and the dim sum is delicious. Fast service and great prices!

Google
My family and I's first time visiting here and I was ultimately surprised by the atmosphere and the tea ceremony. It was calming and exiting at the same time! My kids didn't like chewing the leaves before drinking the tea, yet they thought the tea was delicious. We got Blueberry, Fruit Punch, Papaya, Blood Orange. Blueberry was their favorite, yet Fruit Punch tasted like Hawaiian Punch, so it was a tough choice! πŸ˜‚ We also ordered a lot of food, as the waitress kept explaining we did, yet we inhaled all of it as a family of 7! Everything was delicious! I recommend the Red Bean Cream Buns, wish we got more. We can't wait to go back!

Google
This place is such an elegant yet humble breath of fresh air in the otherwise uninspired culinary tedium of Colorado Springs. Amazing varieties of tea are expertly brewed at the dining table, with captivating flourish to accompany a panoply of authentic and exceptionally high-quality Chinese dim sum, by a vibrant staff of servers who are keenly attentive and knowledgeable in their craft. Yellow Mountain Tea House is an exotic adventure that is worth exploring in depth, and repeating frequently!

Google
Great for tea, not for food. The food is obviously frozen. I'm not sure where they are getting it from, but it's not good at all. Buns/dough are hard and dry, there was corn in my chicken dumpling (weird), filling to dough ratio was way off. Small portions. I can buy better dumplings and bao at trader Joe's. The tea is lovely and there is a huge selection. The staff is very knowledgeable about the tea, but our girl was just going through the motions with the ceremony.. Rushing through it, speaking very robotically and never once looked at us (no eye contact). She kept looking off in the distance as she recited the script. The tables and decor are cute. I wish you could order and pay from the table instead of ordering from the counter (which causes waiting in a long line at times). We went early on a weekday, no wait. But make reservations if you go during peak times. Overall a good experience and great if you love tea. I will not order food again.

Yelp
The service and food was absolutely wonderful!! Such a chill and vibe inside as well and LOVE the koi tea cups.

Yelp
Tried to come here on Saturday night and couldn't find any parking in the parking lot or on the street and drove around four times before I gave up.

Nyla R.

Yelp
Wonderful little spot to visit on occasion for tea! The food is pretty solid for a place specializing in tea as well. My only issue was that staff assumed you had been in before when it was my first time so I was left a bit confused. I only really figured it out through another customers help when they seen me standing about. Outside of that and the checkout process where the same thing occurred it was a beautiful process to witness with a wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely come again especially that now I know how to do it.

Kinga B.

Yelp
The place has a nice concept . Cozy ambiance. Tea was good . It was our first time there and we were standing around unsure of what's the process . No one approached to explain anything until we asked. It would be nice to be acknowledged. The chicken dumplings were strange in taste. I wasn't fond of them. Also, check out process is inefficient. After finishing at the table you walk to general area to check out . It took 20 min to check out because someone was buying tea and the lady was explaining and telling about the tea so we had to wait around until she finished explaining everything. Check out for dining should be separate . I'm not sure I'll return.
google avatar

Meya B.

Yelp
I must say I really enjoy the concept of this place. The tea we tried was also really great. It's such a cute place I love sitting at the tatami. However, it's very confusing if it's your first time they don't really explain how to do anything besides write down orders. It's also very inefficient at the checkout. It's the same place that you buy tea so it took way too long for us to just leave and pay for our meal. The people in front of us got teas on top of their meals so it took like 10 minutes just for us to wait even though we weren't buying tea. Go if you have time lol it's a nice place. 3.5

Yelp
Another wonderful meal! This place is always amazing but get a reservation if you're coming on the weekends!

Yelp
As someone who lives and grew up in southern CA, I never expected to come to Colorado Springs for dimsum, but it was honestly one of the highlights of my trip. To be fair, the food was a 2/5 which is to be expected given the fact that it was all reheated frozen food, but the experience was a 5/5. I HIGHLY recommend you do the tea tasting experience which is $5 per person and for our group of four, they let us pick 3 different teas with unlimited brews. It was so much fun exploring the plethora of tea options and having them brew it tableside as we sit on tatami mats with our shoes off (of course). Our server was amazing and listening to her talk about the various teas brought a touch of authenticity to our tea experience in Colorado. Overall, I recommend coming for the tea, but not necessarily the food. If you're in Colorado Springs and craving an immersive tea journey, this spot is a must-visit!

Ella P.

Yelp
this place was so cool. There was tea that lined the walls and we gotta walk around and pick which ones smelt the best. They came and did the tea ceremony and then brought us the food we ordered. We got : Ha Gao (Clear Shrimp Dumplings): 3/5... great texture but lacked flavor (they do give you dipping sauce with all orders! So that helped) Chasiu Buns (Cantonese BBQ Pork Buns): 4/5... so hot and fresh but there wasn't much filling inside Beef Buns: 3/5... good but to much dough to filling Juicy Chicken Buns: 5/5 favorite bao of the day, so fluffy and slightly sweet! Taro Coconut Sweet Buns: 4/5 table enjoyed these but they came out first and was intended to be dessert, this has coconut shavings in and a little bit of filling. More Taro flavor would be appreciated Fried Rice Cake: 5/5 best item we got, very addictive, and came with 6 GET THIS Xiao Long Bao: 3/5 Typical soup dumpling, kind of boring but good for what it is

Yelp
Never been to a tea house for a tea ceremony before, so we stopped into Yellow Mountain for the experience. First, you put your name in for a table, then peruse the tea selections and choose your brew. We got the Watermelon Lychee and the Japanese Gyokuro Green teas. Then, you can order some food/snacks. When your table is available, the server brings the hot water and pours your teas and offers Chinese Blackberry leaves as a natural sweetener. Once the teas are poured, your dishes start to arrive, and you sit and sip and gnosh while admiring the ambience and generally taking it easy. What a fun, relaxing way to spend an afternoon. The food seemed prepackaged, not freshly made on location, but you're not here for the food, you're here for the tea and experience. And for that, it's definitely worth it. Everyone should try a tea ceremony at least once, and Yellow Mountain is the place to do it!

Yelp
Here's the thing: who you are affects what I write for you. Are you a: **Local or casual visitor or visiting parent of a college kid hoping to have a brief meal, some standard dim sum and a pot of tea with a helping of Chinese tea history? Then this is your place. The dim sum selection is solid, the food (tasting as if it is steamed from frozen, but still well-made and tasty) is good, the tea selection is impressive (perhaps a hundred varieties of loose leaf). The staff are eager and attentive. They have interesting stories about the tea you selected and the ceremony they perform for you. It is an enjoyable experience. **Tea snob or expert seeing if this measures up to spotless highly rated tea houses in New York or California or the Pacific Rim? Sorry. Not quite that caliber. This is not that. The tables are aging and not quite spotless. The carpet having hosted countless shoeless feet are of unclear cleanliness. The utensils are pretty clean... The food is clearly not made in an onsite kitchen. The tea selection and brewing is good, but not remarkable. A good place for a casual visit, not a great place to seek out. Overall I still recommend it as an interesting experience for most folks. We had an enjoyable visit.

Murali M.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem in Colorado Springs. They have tons of different types of teas to choose from to have it there or you can buy and take home as well. They also have a variety of fancy dumplings to dine-in and to go. My kids really liked the place and we will definitely visit again

Yelp
One of my girlfriend's favorite places. It was my first time experiencing a tea ceremony. It was so peaceful and the tea was great quality. We also ordered a few small bites: wonton soup, soup dumplings and steamed buns. All were delicious. The staff were amazingly polite and happy to serve. I appreciate the tea experience very much.
google avatar

Yvonne L.

Yelp
I love how you can pick out your teas yourself and there's wide variety of different kinds of teas. My husband and I ordered 4 different kinds of food options; dim sums, pork buns, and wontons soup. The food was meh as it tasted like they just heated them up. We believe the food was premade or frozen as we kept hearing the microwave, which was disappointing. I would only recommend this place to try out the teas that they have.

Yelp
A friend scheduled us here for a hangout and I was fascinated with all the tea they have. It was a little hard for me to find since I don't really go to OCC, luckily my friend came to the rescue! There's parking around and behind the building although is not that big since there's other businesses in the same plaza, but there's plenty of space on the road. Upon entering you could already see all the different kinds of tea they have and tea sets for purchase (I wanted to buy everything). We ordered food (dim sum style and they have both vegetarian and meat options) and then we set off to find the tea we were going to enjoy. I picked the lychee oolong and my friend picked the Japanese sencha green tea. It was har to pick since there's so much. Once we sat down one of the very knowledgeable servers came to the table to prepare our tea and told us a bunch of amazing facts about each of our teas (so amazing). Then the food came along and as we sipped on tea and spilled the tea we enjoyed some buns and dumplings. Would love to come back and visit here to try other delicious teas.

Yelp
We love dumplings/ dim sum. I saw this place had a good selection to choose from plus great reviews. We went on Christmas Eve after our Church Eve service. Walking in the front door of the Tea shop we were overwhelmed with tea choices. On the left looked to be a to go order for drinks and on the right is the restaurant. There were tables on the raise floor so you can take your shoes off and sit on the floor to eat. As you go farther back to a counter when you place your order. We had no clue but in order to sit at a table you have to pay $5 per person for the tea experience. You go and pick your tea, they will help you by asking what you like. Go back to your table and they make your hot tea. Pretty cool! We were pretty hungry so we tried Xiao Long Bao, Rice Pearl Meat Balls, Family Recipe Summer Rolls, Juicy Chicken Buns, and Taro Shrimp Fried Jin Gao. All were homemade and delicious. The food does not come out all at the same time so you have time to enjoy each one and not fill rushed. A great fine!

Yelp
As a tea and dim sum lover, this place was awesome! We had a group of 4. They let us choose 3 teas that could be brewed up to 3 times in the pot. Tea cups were tiny so there were a lot of refills but kind of fun that way. I thought everything we ordered on the dim sum menu was great. One memorable one was the rice meatballs (unpictured). Unique item that one doesn't usually see, but very tasty. Would absolutely come back.

Yelp
The authentic tea table made my dining experience so enjoyable. The happiness tea leaves plus xiao long bao were also peak! Made me want to stop by every weekend morning

Yelp
This place is incredible! My husband and I came in for the first time today for a little anniversary date. We were kind of confused and unsure what to do but the staff were so helpful and friendly and helped us along every step of the way. The young lady with peach hair (SO CUTE) even gave us trivia bits and health benefits about the teas we picked while she poured them for us. Everyone was super friendly, chill, and helpful. Love the vibe here. We now have a new spot to bring friends who visit from out of town! And of course, the food was delicious, but the little spring rolls we had were totally my favorite!

Lauren T.

Yelp
I'm visiting with my family from SoCal. We're Vietnamese-American and we've had a lot of dim sum restaurants in SoCal, but Yellow Mountain Tea House is by far the best dim sum we've had. You can tell they use high quality ingredients and each dish is made with care. The tea tasting was a unique experience and we learned so much about how to steep tea. Thank you to the owner Tanya for this special meal and experience!
google avatar

Tori B.

Yelp
Love love love this place! Been coming to yellow mountain since 2019. One of the best tea houses I have ever been to. I always recommend the chicken dumplings but you can't go wrong with anything. It's cozy and comfy inside. I love sitting at the tatami tables. And there's got to be hundreds of teas and blends to choose from at any given time.
google avatar

Lani R.

Yelp
Food was great. Tea ceremony was an added plus. The staff is lovely and very knowledgeable. Great find for dim sum
google avatar

Enrica D.

Yelp
I'm pretty sure most people have never been to a place like this. You come in and choose any tea you like and bring the entire container with you to your table. There's an option for traditional tea ceremony service and that's what we opted for, of course! It was a very nice experience, And everything we ordered were very good
google avatar

Crystal B.

Yelp
I loved my experience here. Everyone picks their own tea, and it is steeped at the table by a server. Our server was so friendly and informative. The dumplings were decent, but the bbq pork bun was my favorite. Mmmmmm. We shared the food and each others' teas. It was a fun time. I personally picked out the milky way tea, and it tasted like the candy bar. It's not a tea I would normally go for, but since we were sharing, it was still a safe choice. The prices were very reasonable. I did buy some tea to go, and that was pretty pricey. Like $20 for two ounces of tea leaves. Can't wait to go back! It was a lovely time. Oh yeah...no shoes at the table.
google avatar

Steve M.

Yelp
Such a great experience. Came for the dumplings, but really enjoyed the tea ceremony. The wanton soup is a must, as are the spring rolls. But everything was delicious.

Dan B.

Yelp
I was out to this place for the first time last night. It wasn't just a good time. I strongly suggest that friends and family visit in order to take in the ambience, the first-rate service, and the truly unforgettable experience for tea enthusiasts.
google avatar

Kay G.

Yelp
We happened to go when they were really busy, thankfully we were able to get a table. Reservations suggested! Great service & staff is very knowledgeable about their teas.
google avatar

Yelp
Wanted some Bao and thanks to Yelp I found this Tea House. So first thing is that because it's a tea house, there's an automatic $5.00 charge for each person. Not sure if this is customary at tea houses but that's how it is here. The food is meant to accompany the tea so each person gets to pick out a tea then you place your order for the food. A server makes your tea in front of you (they call it a tea ceremony) but it honestly didn't feel like a ceremony. The server made our tea for us, that's all. Eventually the food care out and man oh man, was it delicious. The shumai is out of this world, the chicken dumplings have a little too much ginger for my personal taste but I still devoured them. I got the bean and chocolate bao which was a little disappointing, it's fairly bland and didn't even have a hint of chocolate. Parking is located towards the back and can be a little tight but we didn't have any issues. Overall, I'll come back for the shumai and some tea!
google avatar

Yelp
I love this tea house. We have gone too many times to count, its it's a great experience every time.

Yelp
So stoked that a friend mentioned Yellow Mountain Tea House to me. I'd love to work it into the date-night rotation. It is located in the rad shopping district of Old Colorado City or as us locals call it "OCC". It could be easy to overlook. You order at a counter and then take a seat at a standard type table or a recessed tatami table. If you add on the tea experience, it's $5 per person, but then you get to select one tea per person from like 100 different teas. I didn't know that there were so many varieties. That was really cool and unique. We ordered a variety of dim sum and dumplings. All of which was good. Maybe not San Francisco good but good none the less. Quiet and unique experience. Give it a whirl. I think you'll be happy you did.

Dan G.

Yelp
Quite an experience. The number of different teas could be overwhelming so after smelling a handful go with what you like. The Waite staff is very attentive and full of knowledge so ask lots of questions. It has an authentic oriental atmosphere where you take off your shoes and make yourself comfortable. The appetizers are tremendous.

Yelp
I'm in love with Yellow Mountain Tea House. I want to go again and again and again. The moment I stepped in I felt peace. The Chinese lanterns everywhere are so pretty and the walls are filled with jar after jar of tea. They sell tea sets as well and you can buy the teas anytime, even if you're not sitting down to eat. They also have a full tea bar including boba, which I'm excited to try. When you get there, go to the right to fill out a sheet with which menu items you want. There were two of us, so we then you picked two jars of tea off the wall. They sat us at a table - shoes off! Then a waiter will come and brew the tea of front of you in the traditional Chinese way. So cool! We ordered three different kinds of dumplings plus wonton soup. They brought each out one at a time so it was like little courses! They also have sauces for both mild and hot. I loved the hot sauce and dumped it on everything, haha! The wonton soup was my favorite. I've been dreaming of it since. The tea was amazing. They create a new one every month. You can brew more tea of either tea you select. They also have a ton of teas with health benefits so I'm curious to back and buy a bunch of that. The prices were honestly not bad for everything you get, plus the great service. It felt like a performance honestly. This is perfect for any occasion. Date night. Friend outing. I'm excited to bring my mom next time. We did call a couple days before for a reservation just in case but it looks like it's not required. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
In the nicest way possible, you will not enjoy this if you're expecting good traditional dim sum. However, if you're looking for a place to catch up and have tea, then it's fine. Details: The foods: we ordered around 10 items to try and were disappointed with most of them. The foods tasted like frozen dim sum and buns that got steamed to warm up. The flavors were very much lacking and were way too doughy with little to non existent fillings. I would just avoid ordering any foods. The tea: we were given three choices of tea. We picked Matcha, Hojicha, and some sort of "Skin Clearing" tea but can't remember the exact names. The matcha was probably the worst. We were given the choice to have ceremonial or sharing type of matcha and we chose sharing in which, we didn't know, that she was going to fill the whole tea pitch with hot water with only two spoons of matcha so it just taste like hot water. The skin-clearing tea was interesting. Not my cup of tea, nor were my friend's but maybe it's yours. The hojicha was great! Get that one. The service: the staffs were fine. They gave pretty clear instructions on how to order when you walk in. We did wait a very long time for our orders. We came on a Tuesday afternoon but they were kinda packed with customers so kinda understandable. The bill came out to around $120 including a 18% tip which I thought was quite pricey for frozen dim sum. You're mainly paying for the experience at this point. Would I come back? No. Was it worth trying? Not really. Is it a good tea house at least? Decent.

Yelp
The ladies that work here are amazing! They are cooking, serving, running their boba shop, weighing out tea and more!!! The food and ambience was also very nice! I really liked their vegan summer rolls they had a lot of flavor and their fried jin gao dumplings were tasty! Would definitely go back again and recommend to anyone. I would recommend making a reservation before stopping by or call to see if they can accommodate your party because they get very busy
google avatar

Mariana W.

Yelp
So many tea options. Their dim sums are homemade and served freshly so you need to wait a little bit but definitely worth it. Highly recommend especially around winter time.

Stefanie R.

Yelp
The tea selection is amazing!!! I love every tea Ive tried!!! The wait staff know ALL about tea and can recommend whatever you'd like!! It's homey and I love the floor seating!!!

Yelp
It is a rare occasion to have a good experience, good food, good service and good energy all wrapped in one at the same place for a second time. From what I can see, there are primarily young women working here that add a touch of grace and warmth to the atmosphere. They have a mandatory tea ceremony (reservation or walk-ins) that includes a $5 fee. Depending on how many people in your party, you choose a jar or jars from their fine selection of tea to be brewed at your table (they also have the loose-leaf tea for sale by ounce), the tea is sweetened by dried blackberry leaves rather than artificial or conventional sweeteners. However, after trying the boba, it wasn't my favorite (they put about a small spoonful of somewhat undercooked tapioca pearls), but the tea was very good. Definitely a good hotspot for a date, special occasion, business meeting, family visit, group/friend get-together or just a personal, calming treat for yourself! Wonderful place. Surrounding this little gem are shops and Irish cuisine just across the street.

Yelp
I just want to say that love Tonya and her amazing Tea House! She is extremely knowledgeable and personable. Let's talk about her teas for a second. We've been using yellow Mountain Tea House for years now and whenever we have an element, we go to our kitchen drawer and pull out the appropriate tea for us and Bam! Within 24 to 48 hours we have personally gotten so much better because of her amazing products. Our family swears by them. Our kids love it.

Yelp
This place is such a fun experience. The range of teas they have is amazing! The tea ceremony service is highly recommended. And the FOOD.... The food.. oh my goodness was it so good. With every bite my heart felt like it was melting. I can't wait to go back! The food, the service and the atmosphere were all so great. Definitely worth checking out!

Willa R.

Yelp
Food is great, laid back atmosphere, wonderful teas... they even have lots of vegan options. Do the Chinese tea ceremony!!!
google avatar

D L.

Yelp
Came here for boba. The tea itself was good but you get like 12 boba pearls per order and there's no flavor in them. They felt like over soaked and def not soaked in sugar or honey the way it's supposed to be. Great staff and atmosphere, but I wouldn't recommend them for good boba. I drank my drink and avoided the boba
google avatar

MyDog A.

Yelp
Amazing food and service, very good experience and beautiful tea sets and pleasant atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tea and/or dim sum experience.

Yelp
A great gem in Colorado Springs! There are a ton of tea options (we chose matcha and uncle Iro's tea - iykyk!) and the presentation of the tea was a cool experience. We got wonton soup - it was freshly made and sooo good. It's worth getting! We also got the vegan and chicken buns. They were so soft, warm and fluffy. I actually liked the vegan ones more than the chicken. I would definitely come back here. If you're looking for a unique and yummy option, definitely try this place!
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
I am so glad I found this place! I cannot recommend it enough. It is definitely going to become a staple for me and my husband! We sat at one of the non traditional tables, but next time we will definitely remove our shoes and sit at a traditional spot. It's $5 per person for traditional tea service and you can get 5-6 brews from one serving of leaves and then once you sit down, you can order some appetizers. We ate: wonton soup, veggie steamed buns, veggie dumplings, and chicken dumplings. Everything we ate was truly amazing. All the food is made to order and it shows! I really recommend going spicy on the sauce. It is absolutely delicious! A must visit!!!

Yelp
I am a tea addict and make a point of trying some type of tea place any where I travel. For my trip to Colorado, I'd originally wanted to try the Boulder Dushanbe Tea House but scheduling didn't make that possible. Thankfully visiting Yellow Mountain dealt with any lingering disappointment! Their tea selection is robust- there's something here for everyone. After repeatedly smelling most of their collection, I decided on the Thunderstorm Green, which was absolutely lovely. I prefer my tea cold 90% of the time but thought the Thunderstorm would be nice hot and I was not let down! If you like a nuanced tea that doesn't have a bunch of competing flavors, I'd highly recommend it. They offer complimentary Chinese sweet leaf and will introduce you to it if you're unfamiliar. The food was equally good, especially for the cost. I adored the vegan buns, by far one of my favorite buns I've had. Light but flavorful and with no onions! That's usually a big ask as someone with an onion intolerance, so extra points on that! I was not a fan of the red bean and chocolate buns but that's a me thing- there was nothing wrong with them, just ended up being not up my alley. But for $6.50? I don't mind it. They have plenty of tea and tea accessories for purchase, with looseleaf tea bags starting at one ounce so you can buy lots of different teas to try without getting stuck with a whole tin if you don't like it. They were very attendant and kind, and absolutely willing to discuss ans recommend teas if you don't know what you're looking for. Do yourself a favor and give them a visit.

Yelp
The dim sum was pretty good, and the tea has a wide selection. When asked if I wanted chop sticks or fork, I asked for both. They said I could only choose one or the other, not both. I also asked for two extra sauce dipping bowls because we had several folks at our table. Again, I was told no extra bowls. They would refill when needed. They won the war but lost the battle. What could have been a more pleasurable experience left a sour taste in my mouth. I'll find a more hospitable restaurant experience somewhere else.

Yelp
What an amazing treat the tea service was charming and well done and informative and very very tasty, and the food was delicious. Great for a date or for catching up with a good friend!

Yelp
This place is a GEM! My friend and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and both got bubble teas. I had the jasmine pineapple oolong (I think) and my friend had the Thai tea. We made a request to have them "not so sweet" and they came out perfect. The woman serving us was so welcoming and friendly. She told us she would make our drinks however we wanted- sweet, not sweet, thicker like a milkshake, thinner like true iced tea, whatever. She gave us a few sample tastes of other flavors she had going on behind the counter and it was all great. We had a big, late breakfast, otherwise we would have definitely stayed for food. It smelled amazing in there and all of the traditional seating looked so comfortable. The decor was bright and fun. We'll honestly probably be back tomorrow for the food!

Yelp
Where: located in the same building as Jake Telly's Greek. Entrance is facing Colorado Ave. Parking lot is always full, drive NW pass 27th St free parking without meters. When you walk in, you have to turn a corner to see the staff and you will decide to sit shoes off table by the front or the regular tables in the back. You will then browse the store and pick out a tea jar of your choosing. The process is a bit confusing but once you figure out the atmosphere is fine. The pricing was also confusing each person can choose their own tea pot at cost of $7 ? Not sure or you pick tea pot for both people then it's $15 ? Food menu is very simple, the recipes was created by the owner and the workers pretty much steam or reheated for you. Its similar to a dim sum place but more homey. Both servers were nice and knowledgeable. Fried rice cake seemed to be the hot seller it was sold out just when we ordered. The Xiao long bao was served in a bowl full of broth which is same ting but different. Menu changes often and do have a few vegetarian options. They make food from scratch, the quality is 5 stars. Shumai here was legit not some frozen meatball you get at most dim sum places. The tea selection has over 300 and herbal and stress relief section is located by the back wall. Overall it was a very cool experience in the heart of old Colorado city. They also sell loose teas online. Check out nearby "Magic Town" tea time is alway a good time.

Yelp
This is a fantastic place to spend your afternoon. No matter the weather! This is not the place to grab a quick bite, but instead to slowly enjoy your tea and dumplings. The service can be slow; but they truly care about your experience and ensure the quality of your tea service over a quick brew! I have typically order the vegetable dumplings, veggie shumai, and the red bean buns. My meat eating friends cannot forgot the xiao long bao! I have never had a bad tea but this round I tried the lavender blueberry tea, and watermelon herbal tea. You also HAVE to chew on a small bite of the Chinese blackberry leaves for a surprise! Add this place to your bucket list for a truly unique experience and a staple when visiting the springs!!
