Review: Six Senses Duxton, Singapore - SilverKris

"The hotel's signature restaurant offers a modern take on Chinese culture, centering on classic and innovative dishes guided by the Chinese philosophy of balanced living and healthy eating. Its bar programme, developed with Czech‑born consultant Kamil Foltan, produces artisanal tipples that incorporate traditional Chinese herbal ingredients; a highlighted cocktail is the Escape to Kaifeng, which combines a house‑made chrysanthemum cordial with Tanqueray London dry gin." - Jalean Wong

Everything was good and delicate - not overly seasoned or salty, including the fried red bean pancake which was light and crispy. I really liked the soups, especially the crab meat one but the prices are very steep and I don’t think I’m at the tax bracket where I can say they are fair for their also delicate portions. The ambience was fantastic; it was comfortable and cosy with not many other guests around and the service staff were all nice.

I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant yesterday, and it was an amazing experience! The service was exceptional—Evelyn (楷欣) was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She greeted me warmly, kindly offered to store my birthday cake in the fridge, and even brought me some peanuts to snack on while I was waiting for my friends. Throughout the meal, she provided excellent service with a constant smile, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, and to my surprise, at the end of the meal, they even brought me a small, incredibly tasty cake as a birthday surprise! Evelyn and the team sang “Happy Birthday” for me, which was such a heartwarming and memorable moment. I truly appreciate the kindness and effort, and this birthday felt extra special because of them. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back. Thank you, Evelyn, for making my birthday so wonderful!

The environment and the forniture are of esquisite taste, we've been for a weekday lunch che it was a very special treat: Honeyleen took great care of us in any aspect and Jimmy in the kitchen made adjustment to the menu to accommodate our tastes (thank you both!). The lunch selections were just great with special Taro+Conout desser which has been a true taste experience! Overall a wonderful experience and a must go to place in Singapore!

I don’t even know where to start with my experience at Yellow Pot—it was absolutely phenomenal! The food was out of this world—a true treat for the palate! Every dish was bursting with flavor, but the roasted duck and sesame shrimp were the clear favorites. They were so delicious, I’m still thinking about them! The atmosphere was just as impressive, with the stunning yellow pot collection adding a unique charm to the space. And the customer service? Simply amazing! Ivy, Pearl, and Haiz went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. They even treated us to a mini photoshoot around the restaurant, which made me feel extra special! 🤩 I can’t wait to go back. I highly recommend this place—you won’t regret it!

Hubby chose Yellow Pot Restaurant to celebrated my birthday dinner. When I stepped in, I felt beautiful art deco style restaurant. When I tried the foods which are delicious and fantastic . The lion mane mushroom is a must order, the taste is like chicken. Fried prawns with sesame mayo must try also. The beef is soft and suitable cook. Last is dessert Cream of Mango and Rockmelon with sago pearls which is making us remember our home tastes. We really like all dishes. Service was friendly and prompt too, Grace in particular. Will definitely go back again.

Attentive service staff Pearl and Ivy. We ordered the crab and fish maw soup, sea bass with olive sauce, seasonal greens and a prawn XO fried rice. We found the soup, fish and rice too salty. Otherwise the food was not bad. They have a wide variety of teas to pair and the atmosphere is nice. Pricey meal but for an occasion it’s ok.

A birthday treat with colleagues. Decor wise - it’s a gem & visual treat. Quiet, exclusive, great for special occasions. Delightful Chinese cuisine - loved their specialty roast duck. Had the set lunch menu - prawn, asparagus with xo sauce was very tasty. Corn soup with crab meat - average, a tad salty. Truffle mayonnaise chicken was fragrant & heady. Complimentary slice of chocolate birthday cake was a nice touch. Prices were a tad steep though.

Yellow Pot has a cosy ambience and attentive service. We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. I highly recommend their 1) Roasted duck; the skin was crispy, tender meat and large portion, and 2) Black sesame prawn; the prawn was huge, succulent, crispy and flavorful. The servers were friendly and attentive. We had an enjoyable evening.
