Yeobo, a charming gluten-free café on Capitol Hill, serves delightful made-to-order breakfast sandwiches with a Korean kick and delicious coffee options.
"A gluten-free cafe full of breakfast sandwiches on homemade english muffins sounds like an excellent concept. But Yeobo on Capitol Hill falls flat. There are cold sausage middles, boring scramble squares, and bread that’s somehow both gummy and dry. You may even run into an otherwise tasty gochujang mayo-slathered egg sandwich accidentally missing the egg iself. Unfortunately, the good doesn't outweigh the bad here. Those looking for a decent gluten-free morning meal should head northwest up Madison and opt for Cafe Flora instead. Food Rundown The Basic The name says it all. There's nothing special to see here—but add gochu mayo and order this with their breakfast bun instead of the english muffin, and you'll be in better shape. Hot Mama Despite the addition of spicy pork belly, kimchi, provolone, and gochu mayo, the Hot Mama is pretty underwhelming. Just build your own sandwich instead, if you must." - Aimee Rizzo
"Capitol Hill just got a new Korean-influenced cafe that specializes in breakfast sandwiches. If you don’t like the ones listed on the menu, you can build your own with a choice of bread and various proteins, toppings, and sauces like gochu mayo." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente
