The Best Chinese Restaurants in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"The folks at Yezi Coconut Dessert crack an incredible number of coconuts to craft their focused line of desserts, developed from research in China and nearby countries. Composed desserts come in cute (returnable) glass jars, layering interesting flavors with fresh coconut. Mango mochi is most popular, but sea salt coconut latte for its slightly savory element. There’s seating to enjoy your dessert (perhaps with a whole coconut on the side) at the café location on NE 2nd Street in Bellevue, while the Bellevue Square Mall location has drinks in more of a takeout environment." - Jay Friedman

If you like coconut or want milk alternative boba tea, this place is the spot! Upscale and trendy! The space is clean and cozy and their drinks are good! They have other desserts to choose from! Loved this mango coconut slushie!

Google
I went here for the first time this past weekend, and it did not disappoint — I got the mango mochi one and the mango was so fresh and good and the coconut dessert itself was really good, not too coconut-y, I would say it’s more of a subtle coconut flavor. The texture is kind of like a pudding maybe? I want to go back sooo badly to try more flavors! I think you can get larger sizes than the ones we got — a bit pricey, for 2 of them it was about $28 I think. BUT, you get to keep the glass container they are in and it has the little store logo on it, so it’s pretty worth it!

Google
The only good thing is the packaging, worse food of any kind i have ever had- i ordered the “best selling “ creme brulle and Caramalised Durian both sucked, Creme Brulle sucked more, vomitted right after taking two spoons. Dont order. It was like decayed rotten food, creme brulle was like onions in ice cream. I only put this review not to damage the business but to do good by customers like me and other businesses who put lots of work in preparing quality food for all.

Google
Came here while traveling in the area. I got the durian one. All and all it was good . However when I was thinking coconut dessert I imagined like coconut pudding so was happy thinking I would find a dairy free option however most of the flavors have dairy cream in it which was very disappointing and not what I expected from a “coconut dessert “ place. Not sure why they just don’t use coconut cream

Google
Yezi is a great place for dessert and they have games that you can play with as a family. We had a great time here.

Google
Yezi Coconut Dessert was better than I could have imagined! We recently tried the Ube Fall Mousse Series, the Strawberry Yogurt Snowy, and one of the purple rice dessert cups, and every single item was incredible. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the coconut taste was not overpowering, as I would have thought. I was also very impressed with their attention to detail – from the exquisite presentation in cute jars and bags to the perfectly crafted desserts themselves, it's clear they take pride in their work. This place is a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth, and we can't wait to go back! The service was also top-notch. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they were happy to answer any questions we had about the menu, which, given the unconventional dessert, was a lot. Really enjoyed it, and It's going to be tempting not to get a drink here here every time I walk by!

Google
I was excited to try this but I didn’t like the deserts at all, we bought 4 different flavors and it just seems quite over priced for what it is, I didn’t expect it to be so watery. The novelty of the jars like whatever, I would prefer a lower price. Also the server was not the most helpful either, we came in Saturday opening time maybe he had a big night. I’m not too sure about the hype on this one sorry

Google
Omg, I'm dreaming about this dessert. We had the coconut, double coconut, durian flavors. Every single one was so good. The packaging is cute, especially the cooler bag you take home. Bring this down to Portland!

Yelp
Decided to try this out on a whim. The Bellevue Square mall location closes an hour early so this was a bit of walk to get to. Parking might be a bit tricky to get here. Tried the Ube dessert. It's a bit expensive compared to other dessert places ($12 for the glass cup). The taste was amazing though. Never thought a coconut based dessert would taste this good. Plus the container it came in was a glass one so you can either take it with you or recycle it here which is great. The place is a bit on the smaller side but I guess it would generate less foot traffic than the Bellevue Square location. Will try out other flavors next time!

Yelp
I've always picked up Yezi's at a restaurant in Seattle CID that carries them. Would pop in when a flavor appealed to me this was first time visiting one of their locations in Bellevue. Nice to have more flavor options, I that it comes in a jar with a lid incase you can't finish it like another friend and I you can bring the rest home. Four of us visited yesterday two of us had Yezi before the other two was their first time. I like that it's a dessert that doesn't feel heavy. One of my friends got the durian he said the durian was a little to form And chunky, another had the mango mochi she enjoyed hers, another had the osmanthus logan which she really enjoyed. I had the rose peach gum could taste the rose from the sprinkle on top but the peach was a little loss in the coconut cause just not as forward as some other fruits. the mango mochi, oolong and black sesame are among my favorites. Bright, clean space well laid out you can see the flavors. Service was friendly and helpful answering questions.I like how when you order one to go they hold it refrigerated till you are ready to go

Yelp
Whenever I can find a coconut jelly dessert shop I always have to go and this really hit the spot! I enjoyed all the unique Asian flavors like birds nest, durian, lychee but they also have more basic flavors like Oreo! Good option for a "not too sweet" dessert plus you get to keep the cute jar. They validate parking if you park in the garage attached to the building.

Yelp
We ordered the Mango Purple Rice and Matcha Red Bean desserts. Like another famous coconut dessert chain, they come in glass jars with metal lids that can be re-used. I was able to read all the ingredients in each flavor as I was browsing and saw they used real ingredients (no fillers, seed oils, preservatives, etc.). Now onto my review of the flavors: 1) Matcha Red Bean--the top layer was all coconut/heavy cream with a very slight tinge of matcha flavor (very very subtle) and the bottom was the red bean layer. I think they could have added more of a matcha flavor to elevate this; the matcha flavor was so subtle that if they simply called it the Coconut Red Bean, I would have believed it. 4 out of 5. 2) Mango Purple Rice--there were huge chunks of mango pieces on top of a thick layer of coconut pudding, with a thin layer of purple rice at the bottom. They could have put a little more coconut rice but it paired well with the coconut pudding. 5 out of 5. I love the insulated travel bag they gave us and that their spoons came with napkins; we took our treats to-go and ate at a park.

Yelp
I come here all the time for their coconut pudding! So creamy and so many toppings to choose from. The store is very clean and super fast to get pudding because you just walk you and pick the bottle you want. You can keep the bottle and reuse it for other stuff afterwards!

Yelp
Delicious and refreshing. If you like coconut desserts and jelly textures, you will surely like this place and all the different desserts they have to offer. I have tried the oreo, manago mochi, and mango smoothie ones. They each were delicious and my daughter loved them too. The store is small and you can see all the offerings in the glass case when you enter. The service is quick and you can be in and out with your dessert.

Yelp
A recently opened coconut based dessert shop. I truly loved it. I tried the mango coconut and it was amazing. Had the right taste of mangos infused with the fatty texture of the coconut. Having said that, the desserts here have a peculiar coconut tastes and you should be a coconut lover in the first place to like their food. If you are not a fan of coconut, avoid experimenting here. Also, this shop gives a fresh vibe. Quick service adds to the overall experience. Extra point to the cute little bag they give you witb the dessert.

Yelp
I was looking to get ice cream and we walked past this new dessert place in Bellevue Square mall, I decided to try Yezi. I got the Mango yogurt snowy and liked it a lot. They have pudding's in glass jar, I'll be back to try them the next time.
google avatar

So-Ying C.

Yelp
Had a very pronounced coconut flavor for the ube red bean, which was lovely, but the one with the matcha added into the pudding had masked the coconut flavor. The pudding; however, had a silky texture so that was nice contrast to the toppings. It definitely has a refreshing bite, perfect for the summer to cool down the heat. It's a bit pricier than what I would like to pay for a dessert unless it's so spectacular, and unfortunately, this does not fall into that category.
google avatar

Emelina W.

Yelp
Love this store over the Bellevue Square one simply because this one always has every flavor! The bellevue square one is always busy and sometimes the popular flavor sold out early. Also, this store have more seats! Like mongo mochi Coconut jelly and matcha Mochi coconut jelly!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is awesome and has delicious coconut desserts that are healthy/nutritious as well as tasty. I asked for the healthiest thing on the menu and the clerk mentioned the rose gum paired with the bird's nest and it was delicious - hence exceptional service! They also come in these nice little mason jars that can be reused. Great interior that is spacious with plenty of seating and a cool water cooler dispenser in the back. Definitely check this place out of you are in Bellevue!
google avatar

Yelp
The fam got Peach and Ube. Both were light and refreshing. Tastes like a yogurt like coconut and flavored jelly. Very soupy and soft tofu like texture. Service was nice and inviting. Ambiance was clean and simple.

Yelp
Super cute and delicious coconut desserts with a variety of flavors! Got the black sesame coconut dessert and it the perfect level of sweetness. Will definitely be back to try the durian! Service is super friendly, store is very clean with lots of seating, wifi, and some board games available. This location doesn't have any drinks like the one in the mall.

Yelp
I've seen this place all over Bellevue and always wanted to try! Had high expectations for this place and was a little disappointed by $12 jar of Yezi. The texture was more like coconut flavored soft silken tofu and the ube content in the bottom had more red bean. My friend's mango was the best tasting one with real mangos on top. We both were expecting a bit more chewy pudding like jello bits inside. The inside space was clean and even had games for you and your friends to enjoy. You order at the counter and take it to the table. Two bathrooms inside but not a lot of outlets to do work inside.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little coconut dessert place with lots of flavors! Pretty pricey imo for the size and for what it is, but the jar is cute and reusable. I loved the taste and texture and would go back to try other flavors. Only downside is parking isn't the easiest but there is some street parking if you're able to find a spot.
google avatar

Vinh M.

Yelp
There's tons of options here, and it made me want to grab literally everything on the menu, being someone who makes a beeline for dessert! I used street parking to get here, and that by itself is limited. The inside has plenty of seating and is lit up very well, with several connected tables with flowers on them. The coconut desserts are displayed behind glass around the counter where you order. Some items on the menu are not displayed since they have other ingredients or topping on them, including the mango mochi coconut and the caramelized durian. Each dessert comes in a nice mason jar which probably explains why prices here are a little high. But they come out very fast as a result, which I enjoyed. Looking past that, my choice was very solid! I got the tiramisu coconut, which had a seamless and smooth blend of coffee and coconut taste. I also got the osmanthus longan and the mango mochi and had a small try of those, and both were solid as well with their own unique toppings. All taste best refrigerated. Their other flavors make me want to battle parking and come back again! Especially for their caramelized durian dessert...

Yelp
As a self declared coconut water hater, I love this coconut dessert. I enjoy desserts with coconut milk and an occasional coconut cream, but I despise the water, the flesh, and heavily coconut flavored things. This dessert though omg was 10/10 fire. There was a light sweet coconut flavor (not gross like the water) and the texture is pudding like, kinda like tofu dessert. Available toppings are also amazing. Golden kiwi was a bit sour, but it's not kiwi season, so understandable. The mango was super good, mochi was a nice sweet squishy touch too. The place itself is chill, there's a small seating area. And if you bring back 10 of their jars, you get a free one! You bet I'll be collecting jars hahaha
google avatar

Emily T.

Yelp
A new favorite dessert spot! My husband and I came across this spot and got the mango mochi flavor! I fell in love! This dessert was so refreshing on a warm day! It's a nice texture and mango was sweet! Love that they have seating inside and service was friendly. They have lots of delicious flavors that I would love to come back and try again soon!

Yelp
Located in the mall close to Sephora. So many options of the coconut dessert and some drink options as well. Two small tables inside for dine in but also a few more in the mall area just outside. Clean and bright location with friendly service. You can order on kiosk or the staff can take your order. Love the glass mason jars it comes in and the car your bag.
google avatar

Arlene S.

Yelp
The coconut dessert is absolutely delicious, with a silken tofu-like texture and a perfect balance of sweetness that doesn't overpower the coconut flavor. I love that they use reusable glass jars and even offer a free dessert if you return ten of them. They have a wide variety of flavors, and most of the ones I've tried have been fantastic. So far, I've had the matcha red bean mochi, tiramisu, mango mochi, taro purple rice, and osmanthus longan. I can't wait to go back and try even more!
google avatar

Clint W.

Yelp
The servings we got TASTED good, but I'm not sure we ate them properly or why the mixture had separated into a watery layer by the time we sat down in the mall. We had no expectations for what the product should look like when served.
google avatar

Renny K.

Yelp
Cute place for dessert and it's nice they don't close too late. I would say though, for the price it's kind of expensive. They do put their desserts in glass jars which is nice. They also have a variety of flavors, but we opted for the mango mochi and crème brûlée. They do use the blow torch to caramelize the sugar prior to serving :) Parking is not the easiest too.
google avatar

Jonathan O.

Yelp
Very unique and delicious dessert! Friendly lady at the counter helps you make a wise decision if it's your first time. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area!
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
This place is probably my new favorite dessert/drink place. The mango coconut snowy was delicious, it had the perfect combo of mango chunks and coconut jelly. There were some dairy free options which I appreciate as well. Service was nice and fast. Really wished I lived closer to Bellevue, I'd probably be getting this every week!
google avatar

Taylor B.

Yelp
Yezi offers delicious glass jars of coconut dessert in a variety of flavors and toppings. I love the concept and the reusable containers, the freshness, and the quality of ingredients used. It's a bit on the pricier side (~$11+) a jar, but is enough to serve two people per serving and you get the glass jar to keep. I wash and reuse mine at home!
google avatar

Christian-Immanuel C.

Yelp
We ordered two different flavors; Mango Mochi Coconut and Osmanthus Longan Coconut. Both flavors were really good and we ended up finishing both in one sitting. The mango was very decadent although my only complaint was the mango was a bit sour. Mixing it up with the rest of the ingredients helped remediate that and by the end, the sourness was bearable. The Osmanthus was delicious and I really enjoyed the strong tea flavor it had; it definitely exceeded my expectations because I expected to like the mango flavor more. The spot is nice with a good amount of searing for a dessert spot. It definitely gave off a nice aesthetic. One thing I really appreciated is that we got a little cooler bag to bring our extra order, home. By the time it made it to our friend, it was still really fresh thanks to the bag. More dessert places need to start doing this. Parking was a little hard to find but eventually found some street parking. I do know they validate parking so if you're driving a car that can make it into a garage, you should be fine. Overall a great experience and will be back for sure whenever I am in the area.
google avatar

Joanne S.

Yelp
****only desserts here**** don't make the same mistake that I had . I wanted a drink only and ended up here and had to turnaround and go to the Bellevue square mall location. Parking is a bit hard also.
google avatar

Teri N.

Yelp
Came here cause it popped up in my to try places!! Cute little love for sure! I tried the ube and loved it!! I really like the cute little jars and the collet bag that it comes in!! Will be back for sure to try the other flavors.
google avatar

Yelp
Stumbled across this place walking around. What an amazing treat experience and a nice break from ice cream or frozen yogurt. Frozen coconut tastes great, is very creamy and a great dessert. I had an Oreo cookie pudding treat that was made fresh and really hit the spot for my sweet tooth.
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
I finally got to try Yezi! Wow, they really took the coconut dessert game to a whole new level. With the coconut base in all their desserts, they have gotten so creative to add all kinds of toppings - I'm genuinely so impressed. They make all their coconut base using fresh water from young coconuts so you can really taste the freshness in every bite. These would make extra great desserts for when it's hot outside. They made both my Caramelized Durian + Mango Mochi desserts fresh there and I was able to witness their whole careful process with the freshest ingredients! The staff were very friendly and helpful :)
google avatar

Bo P.

Yelp
I'm not a fan of coconut in general, but yezi converted me big time. Their mango mochi is sublime and I catch myself craving it time to time. I wish it were a little cheaper but it is what it is. I'd still opt to pay for it to enjoy a delicious treat that's probably healthier than most pastry desserts around this area.
google avatar

Tanaya N.

Yelp
Tried the mango coconut milk. It was so refreshing. The line was long on a weekend afternoon, but i got my order in about 10mins after ordering. Its a typical takeout place in the mall with minimal seating. You can customize the sugar level in your drink which is great! Definitely going back to try more of their coconut desserts.Highly recommend going to this place if you are in the mall.
google avatar

Katherine G.

Yelp
A light, refreshing, and yummy coconut dessert! We came around 6pm on a weekend and there were quite a few people inside, but were still able to find a table. All of their desserts are already premade, so once you order they just bring out the jar. We got the red bean, mango, and oreo to share amongst the 5 of us which was a relatively good amount. The coconut flavor was present but not overwhelming, and the texture was really smooth. We all loved the mochi that came on top of them. Out of the three, I felt like the mango was the best in terms of flavor balance and combination. These are quite pricey at $12-13 a jar, but they do let you keep the glass jar which does make it a little more worth it. Staff were friendly as well!
google avatar

Nora J.

Yelp
Been really wanting to try this coconut desert place and so happy I finally got to try it! They have a good selection of how many flavors you can get. We got the ube and mango flavors. My favorite was the mango - it was so refreshing to eat with the coconut. I loved how light this dessert was. It's counter service but there's a few places to sit to enjoy this dessert once you buy it. We got it to-go and they give you an insulated bag to keep it cool. It was a bit pricey (about $13 for one) but still worth it!
google avatar

Mark Y.

Yelp
Another new spot has opened in B-Square and with the emphasis on healthy with everything coconut or avocado. I had the mango coconut snowy drink and it was very refreshing and blended with boba, mango and coconut bits in a slushy slurry. There are many varieties of jarred treats and we went for the mango mochi coconut pudding. While each jar will set you back $10-$12 it was worth the price. I love the texture of the pudding which wasn't overly sweet. The servers were good and while I had eight customers in front of me it took less than five minutes to get my drink! The interior is no frills and very clean.
google avatar

Jm P.

Yelp
Ordered tiramisu to go and it had a delightful twist with coconut flavors and a bouncy texture. The coconut adds a tropical flair, making each bite refreshing and nostalgic. This version of tiramisu hit the spot for me, not too rich and also very delicate. Next time I'll try the drinks!
google avatar

April S.

Yelp
I'm addicted--so refreshing and perfectly sweet (which is barely) and such a fun texture. I'm already almost ready to trade in 12 jars if I can let so many go. Service is quick, parking is the most difficult part about coming here. It's like a little grocery store you can sit in with some custom topping makes that may take a couple minutes longer.
google avatar

Yelp
I was visiting and found this coconut dessert place on Yelp with amazing reviews so I had to add it to my list of places to try. Guess it just opened in the new Bellevue Pacific Tower, right on the left hand corner of the garage entrance. My local friends have not been so it was a nice find for something new we could all try. I didn't know what to expect but they still had their grand opening balloons on the floor when we walked in - must be super new! The interior is super modern and very minimalistic. Which one long bench and a side with just chairs, you have the ordering counter with a refrigerated display of your options and that's about it. There's a little area to recycle your glass jars when you're done, or they have a recycle program where you get a free dessert for a number of jars you return! Super cool they're environment friendly! Now for the important part of the review, their desserts! A mix between a yogurt/pudding/custard but made out of coconut with a variety of mixtures to choose from! Think yogurt/pudding/custard inside a fresh whole coconut, or inside a jar mixed with black sesame or durian!! Don't worry, they have less exotic flavors as well! I opted for the durian brulee and wowweee it was so good! The coconut bottom was light, sweet, but not overly sweet, refreshing and delicious! I can't describe it but it was amazing! The brulee durian was a nice mix and went to well with the coconut. If you love durian, do not hesitate and just get this one! I loved it so much and wish I was local so I can come back for more! Would love to try the other flavors but I'm so in love with this one! Would definitely come back next time I'm in town! They validate parking and they are super friendly!

Yelp
- On par with melo melo, delicious but pricy - We ordered through the hungry panda app, so it was like buy one get one 50% off for us. We got the oreo one and the creme brulee one. The pick up was easy, and the cashier gave me the to-go bag and two spoons nicely as well. The coconut desserts were on par with melo melo that I had in California. The oreo one has bits of mochi, which was interesting. I enjoyed it so much, but the price point was too high. I ended up finding recipes online and making them on my own, and was successful with condensed milk (which I usually avoid due to high calories). This place has a nice setup, like a great place to gossip lol.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places for dessert. I go here every week. Their coconut dessert specialties are both refreshing and "not too sweet"! My favorites are the whole coconut and mango mochi flavor.

Yelp
"What more could I ask for? Yezi's coconut dessert is exceptional, and its location in Bellevue Square is ideal. I'm absolutely hooked on their matcha coconut drink
google avatar

Wendy T.

Yelp
Wasn't sure what to expect from Yezi (directly translates to "coconut" in Chinese), but wow, their treats are delicious! Their big jars are full of silky coconut pudding, which is insanely soft, and a medley of topping options (is it considered a topping if it's on the bottom??) to choose from-- Asian classics like taro or red bean to more trendy options like Oreo and Nutella. I got the pudding with black sesame and didn't think I'd finish a big jar but gobbled it up since it wasn't actually that sweet. The pudding isn't thick like your traditional chocolate or vanilla puddings, as it definitely slips and gets agitated if you turn the jar sideways. The black sesame topping wasn't quite what I expected. It was more of a jelly consistency too, not very sweet either. I was hoping for a sweeter and textural contrast to the pudding, something similar to the fillings in black sesame buns. I liked the original coconut pudding without the black sesame jelly. But overall, still enjoyable and I was happy to try it! Pretty pricey for a single jar, but the jars are reusable and a nice size and shape for overnight oats, cake jars, etc :) Some flavor options come with fresh fruit added on top after ordering-- yum! There are tables inside for seating and a water station that was empty when I went. Service was straight forward-- not most friendly but was fine! If you're in the area, check them out!

Yelp
After browsing on ig, I sent the video to my husband who is a coconut fanatic. We had to try this place out! So we trekked our way here from Renton. They had so many selections so it was hard to narrow down. We choose the crème brûlée, mango and the red bean. All were fantastic choices. It's based is like a coconut pudding that taste like light tofu and topped with whatever toppings you choose. The crème brûlée was topped with a light sugar on top. So good. They give you a cute tote bag to take it home. Definitely some quality stuff so you can carry it home without worrying that will spill or break. The containers is a decent size mason jar that you can reuse for whatever your heart may desire. If you bring back 10 that's unbroken or damage, you can get a free single coconut dessert. There were some tables available if you want to dine in. Shop was aesthetically beautiful, service was superb. It's right next to a parking garage and there are some street parking. I would totally recommend to try if you're a coconut lover (or not). Glad to have something like this in the area. Such a great treat.
google avatar

Valerie V.

Yelp
Yezi is semi-new still in Bellevue, but it's a great spot for dessert if you like coconut . The jello/jelly is very smooth and light, and you can definitely get the full coconut flavor. They have a bunch of different flavor and topping options, and my favorite was the Black Sesame Coconut! The inside is very clean and music is not too loud. There is seating so you can definitely dine in if you like. They have a promotion if you bring back 10 jars you can get a coconut jelly for free, but I think the jars are very cute and perfect for storing different things at home if you like
google avatar

Ngoc-Diep P.

Yelp
What a smart concept - cold dessert, quick to serve, and in glass jar instead of plastic. Ambience was calm and quiet, making it a relaxing experience to enjoy the dessert. Location was great since there is parking around. Would come back.
google avatar

Yelp
So delicious! The taro flavor and mango smoothie are good first time choices. I've had the black sesame, Oreo, avocado smoothie, taro ube, and tiramisu. I haven't not liked any flavors. Be warned these are not cheap small jars of coconut pudding. One of their main ingredients is heavy cream so bring lactaid if you're lactose intolerant! I like their bring 10 empty jars, get 1 free original coconut dessert. Yay for a push towards sustainability and reusing. I haven't had trouble with street parking.
google avatar

Brinney B.

Yelp
Best coconut jelly ever! It melts in your mouth and has the creamiest coconut taste. There are various different toppings you can choose from and is the perfect not to sweet dessert. Service is always so quick because these desserts are ready to go! The space has a lot of tables to sit and enjoy as well. Only gave 4 stars due to the price. It's great but each one comes in a small far for around 10-15 dollars each. However despite that I would still come back!

Yelp
I don't know WHAT they put in these but I've justified driving 40+ minutes for the sole purpose of getting these little jars MULTIPLE times a week and spending an unhealthy amount of money each time. I personally like the double coconut the best, for something simple and just the perfect, light dessert. I keep it in my fridge and it tastes perfectly delectable the next day -- though after that I wouldn't know, I practically inhale a jar every time I open the fridge and see it. Anyway.... all in all, worth it. That's it. Very worth it.
