The Best Restaurants In Newington Green - London - The Infatuation

"Yield N16 is one of those (fairly) rare things in London: a wine bar that focuses on selling wine. Sure, they do some tasty charcuterie spreads and other little food bits, but wine is their thing and wine is what they do. Bang on Newington Green it’s an excellent spot to sit outside when London’s weather allows you, alongside a bottle of something and a spread of cold cuts." - Jake Oliver, Daisy Meager, Heidi Lauth Beasley

Yield N16 Review - Highbury - London - The Infatuation

"Yield N16 is one of those (fairly) rare things in London: a wine shop that focuses on selling wine. Sure they do a some tasty charcuterie spreads, and other little food bits, but wine is their thing. It’s what what they do. Bang on Newington Green, it’s an excellent spot to sit outside when London’s weather allows you to, and if not there’s also a lot of bench space inside too. It’s directly next door to its sibling Trattoria N16, so there is excellent wine and wood oven pizza within five steps of each other. Literally." - Jake Missing

Definitely on the expensive side, a glass goes for £8+ and the specials for £12+, little tapas are good and go well with the wine. There is a cork fee of £15 is you want to drink the wine inside. Staff is helpful and friendly

Really fun night - we did the orange wine tasting. Vanessa gave us loads of information on each of the wine regions and profiles. All were delicious and accompanied by amazing charcuterie platters in a relaxed environment. Great night out in a neighbourhood setting.

Visited around midday on a Sunday in mid January. Nice shop, full of upscale goods. I came in mainly to check out the beer selection. It isn’t a huge selection but they have some good local stuff and quality breweries. I got a couple things from The Kernel and a few non-London breweries that were new to me. If I had had more time, I would have perused the cheese selection. Lots of wine in here, too. Fair enough prices. Friendly cashier. I’d happily return.

We love Yield here! It’s our favourite local delicatessen and hotspot for an amazing curated local wine selection, nibbles, fresh breads and meats, cheeses to die for, and a lovely homely welcoming local vibe with kind and knowledgeable people working here too. It’s a must visit and a North/East London gem. Oli x

Overpriced. The manager man seem horrible to his staff. Very stingy pours. Nice wines but so expensive. Gave us about 6 olives.

Yelp
This place. Just this place. Everything about it is stunning - the interior, the waiters, the food, THE WINE, it's truly wonderful and I urge anyone to go here wherever they live in London. If you're looking for a truly unique and authentic wine experience this is the place. Tony, the owner, is so proud of his store and so passionate about his wine and produce. Everything is fresh and of top quality but at reasonable prices. We started with a glass of their lemoncello and grapefruit prosecco. For someone that doesn't really like prosecco, I loved this. We then ordered a charcuterie board (3 choices for £10) served with crackers and a lovely chutney. We had the salami and special black pepper sausage with tunworth cheese. The cheese was outstanding - packed full of flavour and melted in your mouth. The meats too exquisite - the salami was our favourite for sure! We also had a side of bread and olives. The olives were pure buttery goodness! We couldn't get enough! We also ordered the baby squid in tomato sauce - it was tasty but slightly too fishy for us. Still fantastic quality though. I then had a glass of their Italian rose and a glass of their homemade red. Both delicious, the Rose in particular was fresh and just perfect for a summers day. We couldn't have left happier and every mouthful was a pure delight! We'll be back! :)

Yelp
As we were walking by to enjoy a nice meal at Trattoria Sapori to celebrate our second wedding anniversary, we noticed a new wine shop was open in Newington Green. We saw that they sold bottled beers, as well as some on draught, so we thought we'd enjoy a peek before dinner. We both had a pint, and it was so fresh and lively that it took about 10 minutes to get our pints. The inside is rustic and inviting. It would be a great spot for the pub crawls we put on for a group we lead. They do offer a large selection of wines, as well as some meats and nibbles. They've only been open a short time, but it's a nice venue that I hope gets some attention, and can expand their beer selection as time goes on. It's my understanding that it is also associated with Trattoria Sapori (same ownership), so I believe it'll do quite well. Check it out if you're in the area.

Yelp
Great place! Simple concept. Lovely wines and lovely staff. Had a Tuscan white, on the sweeter side, much sweeter than j would normally go for but excellent. We also had the bread with olive oil. The bread is from E5 bake house and was wonderful as always. Nice venue as well overlooking a small park/square. I think they own the Italian next door too (or they are very friendly) so worth checking that out as well!

Yelp
This place is amazing! The young British guy with glasses is soooo good at what he does. He really knew how to pick out a wine I would love, and would also introduce me to wonderful new flavors as well. The Australian girl is super cool too. I live a few blocks away from here and love that I can pick up organic wines and craft beers on my home, but now because they are so cool, I just want to go hang out there. Much love! xx
