"It’s obvious from its name alone that Yndo isn’t your classic Bordeaux hotel. Though it may look like a typical 19th-century Bordeaux chateau from the outside, don’t expect silk-lined walls and Louis XV furnishings: on the inside, YNDO is sleek, ultramodern and quirky to boot. It’s the kind of hotel Bordeaux has needed for a while—upscale yet playful, exclusive without being stuffy. There are only 12 rooms, which could be described as minimalist if not for their cosy furnishings and eclectic artwork. The communal spaces, with their perpetually lit fireplaces and soft velvet seating, beg to be lived in, while the hotel’s bar and restaurant beckon with an inventive seasonal menu and exciting wine list. Editor's Pick: Hot List 2016"

Just returned from a stay in this beautiful hotel, which is very unique and quirky. The design of our room and the hotel overall was fabulous and would not hesitate to recommend to other travellers. We also took advantage of dining in the courtyard which was lovely.

Somehow we managed to leave a one star rating originally. I was not even aware that we had left a rating. The Yndo was very nice. The staff was fantastic and while the room was a little on the small side, the staff upgraded us upon arrival and allowed us to check in early. You’re walking distance from the city center. Recommend this place!!

This was an absolute gem of a hotel. Located on a quiet street, the easthetic was absolutely beautiful with fabulous service.||We stayed in a room just off the courtyard with large windows and a lovely terrace - though it rained, so we didn't get to use it as much as we'd have liked.||The rooms are modern and well appointed with luxury amenities.||We were only there for two nights, but loved every minute of it, such a cozy place.||The location is also amazing - easy walking distance to the old town, restaurants etc.||Highly recommend.

I thought long and hard about giving Yndo four or five stars and finally decided the mostly good outweighed the one disappointment. The location is on a quiet street that is a short walk to shops and restaurants. Breakfast is delicious with so many choices including breads, pastries and eggs any way you like. We discovered that dinner is also available for guests and this is no ordinary hotel dinner but a dining experience that rivals all the best restaurants. Our one disappointment was that in spite of making the reservation almost a year in advance we were shown to the dismal basement room. Honestly, they shouldn’t even have this room as an option. You go down the elevator and the door opens to the laundry and maintenance rooms and Room 10. It is strangely laid out with practically no place to put your belongings. Bottom line is we highly recommend Yndo but MAKE SURE you are not in the basement!

I feel very lucky to have found this hotel during my business trip when I had to quickly find a hotel to before catching an early flight the next morning. It's a charming boutique hotel tucked away from the crowd on a quiet street, but close and walking distance to all the main attractions of Bordeaux. And everyone was so nice and efficient.

We stayed at Yndo for two nights and loved it. This arty boutique hotel really knows how to look after its guests. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need for some luxurious R&R. Breakfasts are just what you need to start your day - delicious. Estelle and her team could not be more helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble; from setting up perfect dining reservations to helping pack some fragile purchases. We would thoroughly recommend making your Bordeaux stay the best by checking into Yndo. It’s really more than the beautifully appointed hotel, it’s the great team that provide such brilliant service. Thanks Estelle and team for making our stay in Bordeaux such a highlight.

Yelp
Wow! What a magical experience. The staff was knowledgeable, warm and friendly. Our rooms were absolutely beautiful. The concierge handled all taxi and travel plans flawlessly. The breakfast was perfect and the setting so relaxing. Drinking wine on the patio in the afternoon was perfect. Their restaurant recommendations were also perfect. I can't wait to stay here again. I travel often and highly recommend this beautiful boutique hotel.

Yelp
We landed in Bordeaux definitely doubting this stop on our trip. While we were a bit disappointed with what the city of Bordeaux had to offer the Yndo hotel and its staff made our time in Bordeaux worthwhile. Upon arrival we were upgraded without asking simply because the hotel had room. We were shown around the quaint hotel and greeted by the hotel pup. The room was very modern and clean with amazing towels we actually ended up buying to take home! The staff spent lots of time recommending restaurants, places to see, tours etc. My only recommendation to the hotel would be to provide complimentary bottled water in the rooms - even 2 a day would be greatly appreciated! If you find yourself in Bordeaux (which we wouldn't necessarily recommend) this is the place to stay!
