What’s going into the old Strip Club space? | Eater Twin Cities

"I found that Yoerg Brewing is an exhaustively researched revival of a pre-prohibition St. Paul beer, brought back to life by Carol Minogue and Thomas Keim in 2013. They're planning to bring beer production to 378 Maria Avenue, the former Strip Club Meat & Fish, rebirthing the space as a brewpub this fall with a light remodel of the room and exterior and a target opening date of September 1. Onsite brewing will allow them to sell crowlers but not packaged beer (those will continue to be produced out of Octopi Brewing in Wisconsin). Their lineup will include beers like a smoked Rauchbier and a hoppy rye lager, Roggenbier; the place will also offer food of an "old world" variety and some wine, though no further menu details are yet available. Yoerg had originally planned to open in an old bar on the West Side but found the renovations prohibitive, making the recently running restaurant space more suited to their plans." - Joy Summers

What an awesome place!! The upstairs is such a cozy vibe with the comfy chairs and fireplace (order at the bar but they'll bring your food up to you), the beer list is extensive, the staff are friendly, and the sausages and soft pretzels were excellent! I'm already looking forward to going back next time I'm in St Paul. Parking on the neighborhood streets was plentiful.

This place is a hidden gem for beer! We went here for Belgium beer on tap, and I ended up trying a flight of their 4 house brewed beers. All of them were excellent, but even out of the other 4 Belgium options we sampled, my favorite is the Black Forest Lager. I bought a growler to take home! We also tried the Yoerg Sandwich and a Vinschgauer Brötchen, and both were super good! The owner and/or manager stopped by and could not have been more kind and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

Just unbelievable. Cool place, amazing food and an unmatched beer and wine selection. The video I’m posting is just a small sample of the beer, wine and food list. This is absolutely our favorite place in the Twin Cities area

Atmosphere is excellent. Beer is excellent. Food leaves much to be desired. Upon tasting, its on par with day-old gas station food, or something assembled under duress. Best to stop somewhere else before or after for food, and go here for drinks. Bartender looked like he would rather be somewhere else, and kept saying "this isn't a library". Not worth bringing it to their attention. Head to Brunson's instead folks.

Just hosted a birthday party in the private event space and couldn't be happier! Carole, Barry and the rest of the staff were so accommodating. Planning for the event couldn't have been easier and they exceeded all our expectations. Our guests really enjoyed the beer, wine, food and vibe and many are planning a return trip. Thank you Yoerg Brewing for a great experience!

I haven't visited Yorg's in a long time, but we decided to celebrate there once again. As you walk into the beautiful Victorian building, you're greeted by a cozy atmosphere. The warmth of the fireplace and the old-fashioned decor take you back in time. We were promptly served by Berry and Erin, who made our night memorable. We had a fabulous time trying their extensive selection of hard-to-find beers. There's nowhere else that offers such an amazing collection of beverages from Europe. While there's always Britt's Pub, Yorg's has an even more impressive assortment. The wine selection is also very good, and the prices are incredibly affordable for the quality. We alternated between beer and bubbly while enjoying great conversation with Berry and Erin. The food complemented the beverages perfectly. Plus, there's plenty of free parking available all around.

A True Hidden Gem in Saint Paul! Yoerg Brewing Company is an absolute treasure. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to an old-world saloon vibe that feels both nostalgic and unique. Their beer lineup is fantastic—especially knowing they brew the original Yoerg recipes on-site. The bratwursts from Usinger’s were delicious, and their wine selection is surprisingly diverse and affordable. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience even better. This place nails atmosphere, history, and quality. Can’t wait to come back!
