"I found that Yoerg Brewing is an exhaustively researched revival of a pre-prohibition St. Paul beer, brought back to life by Carol Minogue and Thomas Keim in 2013. They're planning to bring beer production to 378 Maria Avenue, the former Strip Club Meat & Fish, rebirthing the space as a brewpub this fall with a light remodel of the room and exterior and a target opening date of September 1. Onsite brewing will allow them to sell crowlers but not packaged beer (those will continue to be produced out of Octopi Brewing in Wisconsin). Their lineup will include beers like a smoked Rauchbier and a hoppy rye lager, Roggenbier; the place will also offer food of an "old world" variety and some wine, though no further menu details are yet available. Yoerg had originally planned to open in an old bar on the West Side but found the renovations prohibitive, making the recently running restaurant space more suited to their plans." - Joy Summers
