Service was fantastic. Roxanne killed it! My Pumpkin Bourbon Vanilla Latte (don't judge me) with a double dose of espresso was pretty just espresso flavored. So she had them remake with more of the house-made pumpkin bourbon vanilla syrup and that made it quite good.
She brought us bottled water, I think just a tall bottle of tap water, which smelled very much like chlorine. So did the little glasses, so not sure if it was just the dish tank chemicals leaving the slightest residue or what, but that was unpleasant.
Both of our egg dishes were great! My wife had the California Omelet with feta and I had the El Torero Scramble with caramelized onions. Those had a lot of flavor and were very satisfying! Hash browns that came with were also good. We upgraded our side-pancake to the Sweet Specialty cinnamon roll French toast. This is a cinnamon roll, cut across the diameter, into 3 slices, which are then dipped in French toast custard/batter and grilled. THAT was ... fine. The batter barely penetrated into the cinnamon roll, so it was basically just dry cinnamon roll in the middle (which isn't bad!). I prefer my French toast custard to soak in and make the insides full of delicious custard goodness, and not just like a slightly flavored egg wash on the outside. The cinnamon roll was good, the grilling of the roll was good, but I'm not sure if it qualifies as French toast. It was worth the upgrade though.
We also had some really good seeded rye toast that was fantastic with a schmear of butter and strawberry jam! Buttered rye toast with strawberry is magical, and their rye was a little extra magical.
