Yori Wimbledon Review - Wimbledon - London - The Infatuation

"The tinted windows and lack of natural light make Yori's black dining room a little on the S.A.D. side during the day, but it gives off a cool, sleek energy around dinnertime. This Korean spot on Wimbledon Broadway is a one-stop shop for solid versions of crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside pajeon, and spicy ramyun that you’ll want to keep eating long after you’re full. Groups take turns cooking wagyu and squid on the grill, solo diners chew on slightly sweet, doughy tteokbokki while scrolling through Twitter, and everyone leaves satisfied. photo credit: Koray Firat photo credit: Koray Firat" - Rianne Shlebak

Google
This place is quickly becoming my favorite. Everything that I’ve tried has been delicious. Their kimchi is incredible and they have so many options! Plus the place itself is so beautifully decorated.

Snappy Kitty

Google
It was absolutely delicious! I had the Kimchi Jjigae and the Pork belly yakitori. It came with an assortment of side dishes, and a lovely soup. I liked the cucumber salad and the broccoli as well. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was great. I left very full with my leftovers, and I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Google
The decor was so cute with the doors on the walls I wished I took more pictures but we were hungry and I was looking forward to eating kimchi and bulgolgi. That being said our server was very polite and professional and it wasn't crowded so we didn't have to wait long for our food. The drinks were completely over priced for a kids apple juice it was $4 and it came in a huge cup. We ordered chicken fried rice which had a weird type of seasoning so we couldn't finish that one, the kids teriyaki was extremely salty and my bulgolgi was dry and a little chewy. There were no non pork options when it came to the gyoza which was disappointing. The kimchi was good but overall for the $77 we paid for those 4 items I'm not impressed.

Google
I recently visited a Korean restaurant and was truly impressed! We ordered bibimbap and kimchi soup — both dishes were absolutely delicious, full of flavor and felt very authentic. The bibimbap was beautifully presented with fresh ingredients, while the kimchi soup had just the right level of spice and warmth. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed — a perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Google
This place is super cute! Wonderful service! And the atmosphere is so chill and it is definitely a vibe. I totally recommend this place for flavorful Ramen! Definitely coming back to try other menu items

Google
So, I've waited a few days to leave this review. I settled on leaving an overall rating because of the food. It was a 5-star experience regarding freshness, quality, and, most importantly, taste. I'm a stickler for service, so I won't get upset that I was not adequately greeted when I came in the door with my wife. However, once I was acknowledged, the staff did treat me very well. Atmosphere is a 3. Only because it was a very slow night, and there were some dirty tables around us that the staff cleaned up at their leisure in terms of value for food. I definitely think the food had great value. Large portions, and truth be told, we ordered entirely too much food. My wife and I agreed to return to try some of this food very soon.

Google
It was beautiful and cozy inside. The menu has some authentic Korean food as well as many fusion. I ordered kimchi jjigea with pork. Everything tastes great. Only thing missing was pork except a few crumbs. I'd love to go back and try other dishes .

Google
Food is great. The banchan (side dishes) are great and diverse. (Pickled onion was amazing). Lovely spot, especially for dates. Foods are korean-spicy. Only downside is no alcohol.

Yelp
This place is fine. It's a bit dark inside but beautifully decorated and definitely a different vibe from what you think you're getting based on the outside of the building. It must have been a quiet night here as I was one out of maybe 3 diners at 6pm on a Saturday night. But once greeted, the service was friendly and for the most part left me alone. I ordered the seafood tofu soup and an appetizer of pork belly skewers. I originally was hoping for the jjajangmyeon but they no longer carry that menu item so I settled for some tofu soup on a chilly rainy day. It hit the spot and came out bubbling. No real complaints but also nothing that stood out to me especially. It'll do in a pinch and you didn't have to drive all the way to Carrollton

Yelp
First time visiting Yori Asian Fusion Bistro today with my roommate. I love small bistro and its quaint decor. It has more formal than casual ambiance...more date night restaurant. The place is dimly lighted. The service was very nice and friendly. We were greeted right away and had choice of table. I ordered kimchi jjigae (pork) and spicy pork bulgogi. My roommate ordered spicy gyoza and chicken fried rice and hotteok pancakes. My food was delicious. I enjoyed both the kimchi jjigae and pock bulgogi. My roommate said his food was good. He said that he had better chicken fried rice but it was good. He said that spicy gyoza sauce was delicious. He said the pancakes were delicious.

Yelp
The ambience is nice and quaint. The service was good, however the food was not . A lot of the dishes weren't awful but not the best Korean food around. Honestly considered not staying to finish the meal we ordered . Again not horrible but definitely not a place I would consider coming back to.

Yelp
What a darling little restaurant the outside doesn't do it justice Yori is so pretty. I love the wall murals, dim lighting and romantic decor. The food is good. I had the Bulgogi Bibimbap and the bulgogi was very good, the rest of the ingredients were fine although. I did wish the spicy sauce on the table would have been more flavorful but overall I'm happy with the dish and would order again. Service was polite and accommodating. I found the radish appetizer to be overpriced and I didn't like or understand the spices sprinkled on top. If this restaurant can unite with the other businesses on this strip to get the parking lot updated this little dining and retail corner has tons of potential. Great place for a date night or renting out the top floor for private party.

Yelp
Yori is a nice spot in the same shopping center as Art Castle, Texas star bakery & Thai Thip. The restaurant is on the darker side, but I really like some of the decoration choices that they made, like with the light up trees. Food was decent enough, and service was great during our visit ... though we were the only ones having lunch as dine in vs a number of Togo. They have an area that works for groups, that I hope to be able to check out some time.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Yori is a nice restaurant in the mid-cities area. The inside of the restaurant has some really nice theming. They have an upstairs area that you can reserve for a larger group, which is a nice plus. Service was really good during our visit. We had ended up being the only ones dining in during our lunch, but they had a good number of Togo during our visit. Food was tasty and came out in a reasonable time.

Yelp
Delicious veggie broth ramen. Could have done without the onions or broccoli but what can ya do haha. Romantic ambiance lighting and fast service. The food here has always been excellent especially the cold honey lemon tea!

Yelp
Yori Korean, tucked away in a spot I'd never really noticed before, turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The restaurant has a really cool vibe, with a unique theme that immediately grabbed my attention. There's an upstairs area that looked intriguing, though I didn't get a chance to check it out definitely worth a peek next time! The service was great, and the food didn't disappoint either though some things are a bit pricey. Everything I tried was solid and left me feeling satisfied. If you're in the area, I'd recommend stopping in. It feels like one of those hidden gems in the city that's worth discovering.

Yelp
We got japchae, golbi, spicy squid, and cheese ddukbokki. All were excellent. Enjoyed the sprout soup also, kids liked it too. Sides were okay, best was the spicy cucumbers. Ambience was great. There was amble seating and only 2 other tables occupied. Service was quick, not overly friendly. Overall would definitely come back.

Yelp
This may seem harsh but I was disappointed with the food here. Initially excited this was closer than going to Dallas or Carrollton but I'll make that extra drive next time. Sundubu jjigae ( soft tofu stew)- 2 out of 5 stars : no option to select level of spice and it was way too spicy. Not the full of flavor spicy but the lack of flavor in the broth so just add lots of gochugaru ( korean red pepper spice). Seafood was lacking and filled with mostly green onions. Side dishes were flavorless except for the pickled cucumbers. I look forward to these side dishes when I get Korean food. Galbi ( spare ribs)- 4 out of 5 stars: a tad on the pricey side 29.99 for this dish. Chicken Katsu ( fried chicken cutlet)-3 of 5 stars. Rice: 2/5 stars. tough to make this wrong ? It was dry and not cooked well. Make a few small adjustments and this place has potential. Service was fine, didn't experience the same issues as the other yelp reviews.

Yelp
We're so glad to have found a Korean spot nearby, it's so much more convenient and actually quite tasty. The restaurant may seem a bit dark when you first walk in, but don't be intimidated. There are plenty of seating and even an event space available on the second floor. It's BYOB but we totally forgot, will fix that next time! We ordered the ddukbokkie with mandu & galbie plate. The ddukbokkie was delicious and the sauce was great over rice (which came with galbie). It was slightly spicy but not overbearing. The galbie came with rice and banchan so overall the portion was very generous. The meat was grilled well and very juicy. The banchan were all very good, except for the fish cake, which was a little dry. Overall this was a pleasant surprise. If you're nearby the convenience and quality should make it a no-brainer. We def recommend!

Yelp
When you first walk in you can see it's a small restaurant but it does have second floor which I've not seen. It was a little bit dark but enough lighting to see the menu and the food so it was still good. We ordered the spicy edamame for appetizers. Then Galbi, Spicy Pork Bulgogi and Japchae for our main entree. Our Korean bbq orders came with white rice and were told that we can request for 1 (free) more bowl of rice person if we wanted more of it and it also came with 6 banchan (sides). The food was great, my cravings were satisfied. We finished the spicy edamame immediately. There were plenty of food left for to go that I requested for the 2nd bowl of rice for to go with my galbi leftovers. My boyfriend finished his spicy pork bulgogi which he confirmed the food was delicious. I think the Japchae tasted better the next day after the noodles absorbed all the sauce. Service was great, our server was very attentive and nice. As any Korean bbq, it can be pricey but as I said there were plenty of leftovers.

Yelp
My husband and I were really craving ramen but wanted to try something different and found this place on Yelp. The ambiance is cute and makes you feel like you're actually dining on a little patio somewhere. It's a good place for a casual lunch or even a relaxed date dinner. We've been here twice but I am just now getting around to writing my review. So my husband and I had never had Ramyeon and we felt silly asking the server if it was similar to Ramen, but she kindly explained that it was a spicier Korean take on the Japanese dish. The food came out pretty quickly and was piping hot (a good thing!). The dish was certainly much spicier than what we expected and I LOVED it. Several of their other dishes sounded amazing too so we will definitely be back to check them out another time. Maybe I can convince my husband to go back for lunch / dinner today. :)

Yelp
The food and service were amazing ! Our waitress was super nice and excellent! She answered our questions with ease and was very attentive! I appreciate her service and I loved the food the ramyun, bulgogi, galbi and the japchae was amazing it is a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for ! They give great portion sizes and are very filling. The ambiance was calm and chill , I loved the decor and the atmosphere. I felt very welcomed and comfortable!

Yelp
Great spot for date night or a group! We had a large party of 12 upstairs and we all left happy and satisfied! The service was awesome and she remembered all our orders and requests! The highlight though is the great flavors and spices of the food! Wonderful authentic cooking and nice big portions! My favorite was the spicy pork Bulgogi and it was definitely a sharing size. I had enough for my next day lunch and it was still super tasty! The decor takes you away to the Orient with a few cute spots for your selfie poses. Will definitely return!

Yelp
I am so glad I took a leap of faith to come to Yori for a date night. The ambiance is dim with areas of twinkle lights. I actually really love the set up. I should have gotten a few more pics to really capture the whole vibe. This was my first time having Korean food and I was blown away. We ordered the fried calamari and rice cake yakitori for appetizers and the cheesy buldak and bulgogi for meals. The fried calamari was really good with the sweet and savory sauces drizzled over it. They were perfectly crispy and tender. The rice cakes were surprising. I did not know what to expect but I love how soft and chewy and sweet and spicy they are! The portions of the meals were very big. I love that we can share and try different things. It seemed like family style servings. A group of 4 could have easily shared the meal together. The cheesy buldak was so hot!! Spice and temperature level. But the sauce!!! The sauce is everything. I am addicted. It's so good with the steamed white rice and sides that come with the meal. The bulgogi was also delicious! We were both over stuffed by the end of the meal. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes!!

Yelp
Food wasn't bad, but a little overpriced for the quality/quantity. Service was fine as well. Super dark inside. I wouldn't come back because I'm willing to drive further for good Korean food but if you aren't, it's okay to stop by.!
google avatar

Elyse B.

Yelp
Great customer service. Food was amazing. Chicken was juicy and tender like it should be instead of overcooked and dry. The honey lemon tea was delicious and good for healing a sore throat. Beautiful decor in here as well. The cuisine leans more Korean.

Yelp
It was great to find a place in the Mid-Cities with good Korean food. The service was great and the restaurant was comfortable to eat in. Especially in this heat.

Yelp
When here for my daughter's 20th birthday and the food was delicious. The ambience was great really nice looking place, love the decorations. The Japchar was so yummy, I love the glass noodles
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place! Come here a couple times a month. The skewers pork belly my favorite, kimchi fried rice, and the lunch specials are so worth coming here. Service is quick and accurate, food is flavorful and fresh. This small hidden gem is not busy during lunch time but they continue to give great food and service!!
google avatar

Cody M.

Yelp
This place is beautiful in side and food is great for a date night service was good and it was nice and quiet when I went there but it was early
google avatar

Yelp
Was ok. Very slow that night. Not the best food but not the worst. Not sure if I would return.
google avatar

Yelp
Love Yori when I am craving some soontofu soup. Ordered ddukbolkki and soon tofu and loved both of these! The soup was very spicy and flavorful with the perfect amount of tofu. I probably would not get the seafood option again because the seafood in it was not very appealing. They have plentiful options for meat dishes, but those are pretty pricey. The ambiance here is nice and service was friendly. Went on Sunday for lunch and the waitress was very sweet despite taking care of all of the tables there. I recommend for lunch or a date night due to the dim and pretty ambiance.
google avatar

Zina K.

Yelp
The food was very fresh and authentic ... it's a lot smaller than I thought on the inside and they don't serve alcohol but they have some other beverages.

Raspberry S.

Yelp
Best time ever we met BTS Jimin,Jin, and Suga there they invited for some noods with them it was a fun time with BTS their
google avatar

Tiffany Z.

Yelp
I'm obsessed with this place. The food is authentic, the service is superb, it's BYOB, and the ambiance is so romantic and elegant - 10/10. The complimentary side dishes is a delicious bonus. The menu is a bit pricey but 100% worth it.
google avatar

Dedra S.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! The food, ambiance, and service are all great! My 16 year old is also a big fan! Perfect for date night or an outing with the family. Craving the food now as I type lol

Joey J.

Yelp
There is a new lunch special. Lots of very good food for not much money. Like everything on their regular menu it is excellent.

Stacey R.

Yelp
We used to love Yori. The food the past two times has been dry and seemed like it had been sitting around a while, rice on the side was hard and crunchy. I asked to order a kids portion and do this frequently at other restaurants and was told no. That's literally a first. We'll eat elsewhere.
google avatar

Dawn N.

Yelp
Solid place in the HEB area for Korean food, but still not quite what I'd hoped. Would still recommend driving to Carrollton for Korean food. Our usual go-tos are the gyoza, bulgogi dolsot bibimbap, chicken katsu, and bulgogi BBQ order. They hit the spot in a pinch, but are just OK in terms of taste. Sometimes I want to try a different appetizer but the prices are a bit off putting - for instance, $10 for corn cheese or seaweed salad? I have also splurged on the galbi once or twice when I don't feel like driving, but I can get AYCE BBQ for $30 elsewhere.
google avatar

Peyton B.

Yelp
I adore this place. It's a quiet and intimate atmosphere, the staff is extremely friendly, and the food is DE-LIC-IOUS. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Twalli Z.

Yelp
Got it to go and was very delicious! Was very surprised when picking up how quaint and cozy the inside was tho! Will be dining in soon!
google avatar

Tisa Z.

Yelp
I walked into this cute restaurant at 8:14, and was sent away by the waiter because "the kitchen is about to close." Bro, you stay open until 9pm. It's a shame, because it looks really nice from the outside. And it's new! So lazy to not try to gain a customer. ‍
google avatar

Brenda B.

Yelp
I'm sitting here alone in this amazing place and enjoying the best Ramen I've had in ages. I had Ramen at 2 places in Austin this month and neither held a candle to Yori although they cost double what I paid here. The decor is quaint almost vintage feeling reticent of an Austin zen vibe. The staff are kind and thoughtful helping me navigate the menu for exactly what I wanted. Settling in the dumpling ramyun I was not expecting the explosion of flavor. I almost want to order another to go for lunch tomorrow. They are buzzing with to go orders so I suspect this hidden gem is not so hidden....
google avatar

Jan W.

Yelp
Seaweed salad was intensely salted. Probably won't go there again. Cool ambience, though. And close to my house.

Chris ..

Yelp
Had the spicy pork bulgogi and combination fried rice. It came with 6 different kimchi sides. Fantastic. 10/10. Will be back again. Staff was great. No rush. Attentive enough but not bugging us. Loved the dark interior. Even at opening it was quiet and cozy like an evening meal.
google avatar

Jannett T.

Yelp
I finally went to try this place out. Is it expensive oh yes! This bento box was $14.99 plus the soup which was $5 (I think) The flavor of the meat was good and big portion but I wish they served more of the sides it was small portion. Soup was delicious You need to go with someone else because all the other stuff like japchae, ddtobokie, bbq grill are for 2-3 people. I would go back but split the check with someone
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
Such a cute place! Food is great, staff is super helpful and friendly! Such a great place for a date night.

Jacob L.

Yelp
I will say the photos do make the place look bigger than it actually is, so you will be pretty close to another table. But the food and service make up for that fact, both were excellent.

Mariam H.

Yelp
The food was amazing, Brian was truly amazing! The service 100/10. I always come back because it's a great spot!
google avatar

Stella J.

Yelp
As a Korean, I would not recommend this restaurant at all. The service is bad and the food is even worse. I don't know what it is I was eating.
google avatar

Kait L.

Yelp
The food was so good - high quality and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was nice and attentive. The restaurant had a cozy but classy atmosphere. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often!
google avatar

Bre S.

Yelp
Food was great! I loved their Buldak but it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, nonetheless it was still amazing! I also tried the steamed egg fish and it was also great, it seemed to be steamed in a yummy broth! Our server was nice as well!
google avatar

Giovanna M.

Yelp
I had my little (not so little, she's 16) passenger with me who happens to love Korean culture. I thought for our end of the day food run we'd find a Korean restaurant. I let her choose and we ended up at Yori. Unfortunately, I guess shopping in the rain made me forget to get actual food pics! Well, I can tell you with all certainty the food was delicious. I ordered beef bulgogi to share with her dad (who claimed he didn't want anything but the lie detector determined that was a lie. He even ate the cucumbers and he hates cucumber), shrimp tempura and pork belly yakitori for myself. My sweet teen beloved ordered dduckboki and kimchi fried rice. She said it was equally delicious. The restaurant is a small space located in a strip mall. There were stairs inside but I'm not sure if it led to more dining space if not. The decor in this place is nice. I love the ambiance. A reviewer mentioned hating the darkness but I didn't find it that dark even on a gloomy, rainy day. We didn't eat in. We took our orders and headed out trying to beat worse weather before getting home. Frankly, I loved the food, I loved the decor. The staff was friendly and food came out in a timely fashion. I'll definitely be back.

Francisco B.

Yelp
Went to Yori today and really enjoyed there food! When the menu says spicy squid they really do mean spicy squid, but other than that it's really good recommend you try it if you come here. The service was pretty good the guy always refilled our waters when we asked him to he was always waking around making sure everyone was good to go and making sure that everyone got there food, the food got here very quick so that was nice! I really like the environment of this place is extraordinary you walk in feeling comfort and just peaceful from all the environment in here. The only thing I will have to say are the prices there kinda expensive for some of the food, but other than prices it's pretty good recommend y'all give it a try if your up for nice ramen or even fried rice!

Janet M.

Yelp
Uses to be my favorite spot , but the venue has changed. I went in The other day. Absolutely no Tofu on the menu!!!??? What's a vegetarian to do ??
google avatar

Octavia B.

Yelp
The bulgogi is so amazing and I loved the Kim chi pancake. I came here with my family on my birthday and they were very accommodating and helpful.
google avatar

Myrisha M.

Yelp
The Bulgogi bowls!! YUM The owner even came out to assure everyone loved their meals (which we did!) Also, I can feel a little high maintenance when I ask if I can swap around some veggies that standardly come with the dish but they were super sweet and accommodating! Highly recommend!
