Fresh, healthy and yummy Asian dishes in a bright space with welcoming staff. 🌞 I messaged ahead of time asking about vegan options and fortunately the cashier was very receptive about modifying the order to make it vegan. 🌱 The food came out quickly, the tofu was delicious, and the veggies tasted like they were just picked. 🥗 Finally, it was a reasonable price for downtown SF! 🌁

This is the best Asian-fusion healthy food place! The flavours are so unique and the sauces add such a nice complement to the dishes. The meals are so affordable and there are so many customizations. Would come here regularly! Also the owner Jackie is such a delight and very welcoming. Her story is so inspiring to all who want to pursue a passion dream 🥹

I loved Yuja so much that I went two days in a row because it is just that good. I’ve tried the Shaking Beef, Thai Basil Pork, and the Miso Pomegranate Harvest Bowl with Salmon, and every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Each bowl comes with a delicious sauce, and they even have a limited selection of beer and wine, which makes it such a cozy spot to relax. Jackie, the owner, is the sweetest. She greets every customer with a smile and takes the time to chat and ask for feedback, making every visit feel warm and personal. The space is bright, modern, and spacious, and adding coffee or matcha to the menu would make it the perfect spot to linger even longer. Yuja has quickly become one of my favorite places, and I can’t wait to come back.

Good: - Food was delicious - loved the thai basil pork and it was very healthy and hearty - great flavor and very tasty - I ate it super fast - Chinese froyo was so good! I felt like the price was much better than Souvla too - The place is beautiful and great for coworking, very quiet and calm inside and modern. - Food comes out very quickly Bad: - The area it's in is more sketchy and empty Overall this was such a cute find and I'll be back!

Glad this spot opened up in the area I’m often in! Really great healthy asian food - a nice change from all the sweetgreen/mendocino farms bowls that were the only options around. We got the chicken teriyaki and Thai basil pork bowls which tasted flavorful.

Tucked away pleasantry in the heart of Rincon hill. The space is quite large so I’d recommend it to catch up with a friend or coworker. The ingredients tasted really fresh and the staff seemed really inviting given their recent opening. We went with the Thai basil pork and the teriyaki bowl with salmon. I’ll say that both surprised us with their sauces - which are conveniently set aside - so you can portion as you liked. I loved the kick from the green basil sauce for the pork and appreciated how the teriyaki was nutty and not that super sweet sticky consistency. Given bowls of smush are so in right now, this felt quite the opposite in that every ingredient stood out on its own. For the Thai basil pork that was the sweet potato salad. The food and the atmosphere made it worth popping over one block from my typical go tos in the area.

Amazing vegetarian food! Get the harvest bowl with tofu and their homemade frozen yogurt! Deliciousssss

I’ve been waiting for a place like Yuja to come to SF! The food is high quality, nutritious and delicious. It’s like Sweet Greens, but asian-inspired. Perfect for weekday lunches and dinners. I’ll be a regular!

Got the Thai Basil pork and the Shaking Beef for lunch and loved the Thai Basil pork. Good portion for price with a nice mix of carbs veggies and protein which can be hard to find eating out. Sauces were great with the protein and everything felt freshly made

I've followed Jackie on Instagram for years, so finally getting to visit Yuja, and meet her, was such a treat. She is so kind and genuine, and the space is gorgeous. The kale salad with steak is perfectly done. So happy for her and the team, such a beautiful opening and already a new favorite spot!

The chicken is well cooked! Juicy and tender. Lots of bathrooms Also try the Chinese style frozen yogurt, you won't find it anywhere else in the city

Everything about this place is perfect to me - from the ambiance to the food to the service! Rincon Hill is definitely lacking places to eat during the evening and the weekend. Most of the places in the neighborhood target corporate workers so either 1. It's only open during lunch and 2. It's super expensive. So I'm very happy that to see that Yuja opened up in the neighborhood to bring that community feel to Rincon Hill! I've been here 3 times since they've opened and so far I've tried the Shaking Beef, Ground Pork with Basil, and the Chicken Teriyaki. All have been 10 out of 10 for me. The flavors are simple yet well executed and the portions are great! I love the potato salad and the sauces that come along with it too! Also wanted to mention the wonderful service I've gotten here too! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Always tempted to come here every night. Definitely recommend!! And looking forward to trying more of the menu items!

This restaurant just opened near my apartment, so I was excited to give it a try! We ordered the Kale Caesar with tofu and the Shaking Beef bowl. The Kale Caesar unfortunately didn't have enough dressing -- I actually ended up adding some from home -- but the kale itself was nicely massaged and flavorful, which I appreciated. The tofu was a bit on the dry side, though the crispy wontons were a nice touch. My sister-in-law ordered the Shaking Beef and, unfortunately, found a hair in her bowl. We'd already had a long night, so we decided not to go back to the restaurant. That said, the Shaking Beef itself was more flavorful to both of us, and the chimichurri sauce was delicious. I'm curious to try a few other bowls for the convenience factor, but I'm not in a rush to return. It pains me to write this since it's such a new restaurant -- I really wanted to love it -- but I'm sharing my honest experience. Hopefully, they iron out these small issues because the menu definitely has potential!

I wanted to check out a new lunch spot, and was so pleasantly surprised! Cameron at the counter was so helpful, and walked me through the different options. Great, healthy, casual bowls. The indoor space is inviting and warm. I'll have to come back to try the frozen yogurt, and would love if they were able to add coffee to the menu!

New spot worth checking out with a really cool indoor space! I tried the Thai Basil Bowl with chicken and a side of pork--everything was so flavorful, especially the sauce that came with the bowl. Yuja recently opened, and I was happy to see a new Asian-focused restaurant come into the area after the closure of Spice Kit. I came in and ordered the dish I saw most on the reviews for takeout: the Thai Basil Pork bowl, and I snagged a little container of house-made chili oil as a bonus. Service was very friendly, and the wait wasn't too long to get my bowl together. While I ended up ordering for takeout, the ambiance was warm and inviting and somewhere I could see myself dining in person as well. They do serve alcohol but... A bit early for lunch time. More importantly, onto the food: the Thai Basil Pork bowl, for a price of $16.50, is a huge bowl, balanced with veggies, protein, and carbs. The meat was well seasoned (even without the sauce), and I really appreciated having both cooked and fresh veggies in the bowl! The sauce was also super flavorful and refreshing to balance out the other flavors. My only real criticism is that the chili oil I grabbed wasn't as flavorful/fragrant as I hoped it to be on its own, and as a result it was lost against the other flavors. Overall, I'm very happy with the food and the vibes! Will definitely be coming back to try their other dishes to support.

I've been following their progress on Instagram for many months, so I was excited to hear that it finally opened. I tried a Caesar salad with steak and the signature miso pomegranate salmon bowl. Both were good, but I was hoping for a little bit more variety in the ingredients. I also think the salmon was a letdown compared to the photos. It was a bit soggy whereas in the photos it's pan fried and looks crispy. I was also hoping to try the pandan coconut drink that I saw in one of the yelp photos, but didn't see that available on DoorDash. Overall, it's great to see an ingredient, conscious, healthy Asian inspired, casual food spot open up in town, and I'll give it another try sometime in the future.

Reasonably Priced !!! Good selection of Food, service is great with a friendly staff, ambiance has a cool vibe on it.. they are getting a good business having a quick asian place to grab a quick lunch.. if you dine in, they serve water.. new but I dan see it will stay in the area for awhile. Definitely highly recommended !!

This place just opened up right across my apartment and I plan on coming here every week! The flavors of the sauces in the shaking beef were perfect and I've already bought 4 bottles of the unique kumquat beer.

Delicious food especially the house-made sauces, friendly staffs and beautiful setting with a mural, paintings, plants etc. Strongly recommend.

Food and service were superb! We love to welcome this new restaurant to the 'hood and appreciate the personal welcome from Jackie (the owner). We enjoyed the food and hope to see the menu expanded to maybe include soup, appetizers and snacks and more main dishes to choose from! Great start and good luck! We will definitely return for another visit and hope this restaurant becomes an important part of our local community!!

I would post a photo of the bowl that my boyfriend got, but he inhaled it. That being said - he loved it. He got the teriyaki chicken bowl and said it was delicious! Happy to see a local spot open up so close to our apartment. Will be back!

I stopped in for the steak bowl and was impressed. The space is elegant and food was fresh and tasty. The rice was a standout, much more flavorful than the typical fast casual chain white rice. And the steak was tender and cooked to a consistent medium rare. I'll be back.
