Yumi Sushi was really great. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The sushi tasted high quality, and you can tell they care about what they serve. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Overall, a very good experience from start to finish. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend.

I sat at the bar. The chef talks with you as he preps sushi. You can also order directly from the chef. Kama Toro was Kama Toro. No fancy decorative tricks were used, and I was able to focus on the $36 fish. I appreciated that very much. Will order again. Salmon belly was not on the menu. But they served it when asked. Wasabi was fully grained and very much real. 100% do not recommend masago. It's just factory processed eggs that come in a plastic container (just go to your nearest H-Mart).

This sushi restaurant is super chic and stylish. From the outside, it might look small or closed, but once you walk in, it has a really nice and cozy vibe. I tried a few different sushi rolls, and they were all fresh and tasty. One thing I love is that it’s open until 11 PM, which is great since most places nearby close much earlier. They have valet parking, and sometimes you can even find free parking on the street. If you like sushi or just want a cool place to hang out with good drinks, I totally recommend checking it out!

I recently visited and was blown away by the quality of the sushi and the flavor of their drinks, especially the lychee martini, which was delicious and refreshing. Kaleb is the BEST mixologist, Ada made my cocktail perfect, my vegan dinner was perfection. Sitting at the bar is where it's at -- the place is beautiful and there's definitely the vibe at the bar because of Kaleb!! Highly recommend, plus familiar sushi master chef that we've all known and loved for decades in calabasas area is making your unforgettable dinner. Keep in mind this is an elegant place, do not be an annoying customer that comes in dressed like you're running errands at the mall, just get dressed for dinner, it's not that hard people, LA is too relaxed as it is. Vibe nice, sushi delicious, cocktails EVEN BETTER.

Beautiful clean place. Shishito pepper was ok, the rest was good. The only problem is there is no parking nearby. You need to valet your car.

I’m writing this review so people can make an informed decision before dining here. The food is extremely overpriced, and unfortunately it feels like a cheap imitation of Katsuya and Kushiyu Sushi two excellent sushi restaurants that actually deliver on quality. The difference is that at Katsuya and Kushiyu, the prices are more than half of what you pay here, and the flavor, balance, and execution are on a completely different level. There is simply no comparison. Here, the dishes felt recycled and uninspired a weaker copy of well-known items, with none of the refinement to justify the pricing. On top of that, the overall experience was made uncomfortable by the manager’s behavior. He repeatedly came to our table and others, interrupting the meal in a way that felt intrusive and disruptive rather than hospitable. That’s not good service it’s uncomfortable. Bottom line: Overinflated prices, food that doesn’t come close to matching them, and a dining experience that falls short. If you’re looking for high-quality sushi, you’re far better off going to the original, better, and significantly more affordable restaurants instead.

This place is exactly what the Valley needed! Amazing food...quality and flavors will have you craving for more. We had fun sitting at the bar and had the chefs surprise us with whatever they wanted to make for us. Let me just say, you won't be sorry! The mixes of flavors they come up with are to die for. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT pass up on their veggies. The green beans, okra and miso eggplant are my definite must haves. I've never been to a sushi restaurant that had great side dishes. I have friends that don't eat sushi so I've ordered several veggie dishes with the miso black cod and they were blown away. The place is gorgeous and perfect for date night or just hanging with friends in the lounge. The bar area was a great place to grab some drinks before or after dinner. Great vibes!! I love that they keep the place spotless. I swear I think you could eat off the floors. The service is top notch and extremely professional. It's always nice to see smiles from the moment you walk in, through out the meal, and as you're leaving. Friendly chefs, waiters, runners and people clearing dishes just made my experience that much more enjoyable. This location is more convenient for me and I'm so happy they're open late night in Calabasas too!

Okay, this is my second favorite sushi place. I've never been to the Studio City location, so this was my first impression. I LOVED IT. It was exquisite. Nicole helped me up front, and she was in the suburbs. I love everything we ordered, with the Scallop sushi at the top. The ambiance, decor, and excellent service are why this will be my new go to-spot :)

From the moment you walk in, the sleek and stylish interior sets the stage for a perfect date night or a chic dinner out. Even the bathroom is thoughtfully designed, adding to the polished vibe. One of the standout features is the attention to detail, like the spicy ponzu sauce alongside the soy sauce at the table or the double-sided chopsticks, or the artistic plates, which look like they're speckled with water, and it all adds a subtle yet impressive aesthetic touch to the meal. The food itself is fresh and delicious. The tempura Brussels sprouts were a surprising highlight, especially with the salt and lime seasoning that came with it. The spicy tuna cut roll was another favorite, bursting with fresh, bold flavors. And of course, all the sushi we tried was expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Shota, was a joy to have, staying hospitable and kind throughout the evening. He kept us informed whenever we had questions and made sure we were well taken care of. This place is definitely worth a visit. One thing to keep in mind is that parking in the Old Town Calabasas area can be tricky, so plan ahead to avoid frustration. Reservations are also a good idea--Yume is already bustling in its first week, and it's easy to see why. This place has all the makings of a local favorite and is sure to grow in popularity fast.

Best sushi I have had in a long time. Top quality, too not h service. The space is beautiful, clean and inviting. The food is 1000/10. Everything we ate was one better than the other. I usually go to katsuya but this topped that by a lot. I cannot wait to go back. As someone who has been to a lot of pricey sushi places this was worth every dime. Cannot wait to be back. The negitoro and negihama are to die for.

The ambiance at Yume Sushi Bar in Calabasas is undeniably beautiful, but unfortunately, that's where the highlights end. The lounge seating may look chic, but it's impractical and uncomfortable for eating a proper meal. The sushi was overall mediocre and certainly not worth the premium prices. The Kanpachi Crudo and Hokkaido Scallop Sushi were the only dishes that stood out as decent. However, the rest of the menu failed to impress. Service was a mixed bag: polite but painfully slow. Dishes came out at a snail's pace, and oddly enough, the items we ordered to go arrived before our final dine-in dish. The cherry on top? A guy was vaping inside the restaurant. When we brought it up to the manager, he just laughed it off, which was both baffling and unprofessional. With all these issues, I can't see myself returning. Disappointing, especially for the price point.

Amazing new Sushi restaurant in this side of town. The food is superb and my Sushi chef is J. In the picture is J and she makes the best stuff. Also the service is very good as well as the vibe is so smooth.

Yummm!! So fresh, and so good. Excellent service. First, they all greet you when you walk in. Everything is gorgeous, most importantly the food. The halibut roll is a veggie lover's dream. The yellowtail cilantro roll was bright, fresh, and spicy. They have a room for private parties that I'm thinking about now. I can't wait to go back.

The new spot we allll needed in the valley! This spot sets the tone in calabasas wining both quality and ambiance. The menu has endless options to choose from and the vibe of this place is just perfect! I have to say the citrus roll, garlic albacore roll and yellowtail sashimi are my favs!! Also during this cold weather the Seabass soup hits the spot! I've already been 3 times since they opened, can't wait to keep enjoying this amazing spot!

Our favorite sushi restaurant in Los Angeles is Yume. Once you eat there you CANNOT eat anywhere else. We've been going to the studio city location for 2 years now, but the new calabasas location is so amazing and I'm so happy they opened there!!! It's a little fancier.. perfect for nice dinners, with a modern ambiance and full bar service. The sushi is the freshest sushi, so delicious, and never disappoints. Not to mention the service is so amazing, the entire staff is so friendly and patient, and remember you when you return. Try to reserve it in advance, it's only been open for 2 weeks now and it's already pretty booked. Thank me later!!!

Finally visited the new yume last week and had the best meal! The sushi was so fresh and the menu(both hot and cold) had so many options. So excited to have an amazing sushi restaurant in calabasas and will definitely be spending a lot of time there with friends and family. The decor was also beautiful and you can tell there was so much attention to detail. Can't wait to go back and try everything else!

saw this new place while walking to the Farmers Market. had to give it a try! the Host told me it was fully booked for the night but he helped me out and moved things around and was able to squeeze me in! NICE! The food took a little longer than I expected, and the taste is not to my liking Personally, BUT! i can tell the fish quality is very fresh here! The service was slow but the Host who helped me get seated, regularly checked up on me and made sure my family and i were taken care of and gave us a complementary mochi Ice Cream which was delicious! I would give it a rating of 3~4 stars, but since he did such a good job, Im going to give it 5 stars since i know they are new and need some work. finally a great place to have in the neightborhood!

Highly recommend Yume! Just experienced an amazing lunch. High-quality melt-in-your- mouth sushi. The service was great and everybody at the restaurant is friendly.

It's rare that the sequel is as good as the first but Yume did it again! Friendliest service, amazing ambiance, and the food is second to none. A couple go-to's here are the lotus root, hamachi jalapeño sashimi, and spicy salmon on a rice cake (I think that's an off- menu item, you're welcome!). Great spot to impress clients, family, and friends. Can't decide which location is better and thank goodness I don't have to!

I am a big fan of Yume's Studio City location so was already positively predisposed to its new Calabasas location - somehow, they managed to exceed my wildest expectations. It goes without saying if you know the Studio City location that the food itself is phenomenal - super fresh with a perfect mix of traditional sashimi and nigiri and unique, creative rolls and sashimi specials, and even excellent vegetable dishes. But the location itself - the restaurant is huge yet feels warmly intimate and is simply beautiful. This will most definitely be our go-to spot in Calabasas whenever the sushi cravings kick in but it's also a perfect spot for special occasions and larger groups. A true gem of an addition to Calabasas!

Coming from a girl who is a big sushi snob-- Yume is top notch and very worth a try. I liked everything I got, all fish was super fresh with my favs being Hokkaido scallop and Red Snapper. Shrimp & truffle avo crispy rice over spicy tuna crispy rice. Also, it is absolutely gorgeous in there and perfect for a date night. Go try!! You will not be disappointed

Calabasas locals are spoiled with Shibuya. You get what you pay for here at Yume. Pathetic rolls with no discernible fillings. Maybe if you are a sushi novice it might be good for you. Service is all computerized which means you get no Service . I hope people come here so the line at Shibuya is shorter. Also if we want to sit at the bar you have to be in parties of 2 NO 3 .

Yume is a total vibe with stunning ambiance that adds to the upscale feel. The sushi was phenomenal!! the seared Toro sushi and spicy shrimp crispy rice were absolute standouts, and the garlic pumpkin and sauteed green beans were incredible. Oh, the albacore crispy onion was amazing tooo! Everything was super fresh, flavorful and well worth the price. Def coming back!

This is the best sushi I've had after quite some time being very disappointed with the sushi in the states. The food is exceptional, the place is extremely clean without any food odor. The full bar is another highlight of this restaurant. Now the sushi, it is so fresh and delightful. I was actually impressed with the presentation of the food and swift service. My girlfriend and I were lucky to meet one of the owners as well, such an awesome guy! Definitely going back. My new favorite place.

Best sushi place by far! Sat at the bar and Drew and Ada served us. Beyond excellent service and food quality. I wish I would have taken pics of the food but we were so distracted by how good everything was!! Kaleb the bar manger was actively making sure the experience was great as well.

Beautiful new location! Very trendy and had a great full bar with creative Japanese inspired cocktails. Food is excellent just like the Studio City location and had several new unique dishes just for the new location. Service was very friendly as well. Will be coming back!

Came for lunch on opening day and WOW this place is amazing. Restaurant is absolutely stunning (and can only imagine how nice the ambiance will be for dinner) and the food is even better. Definitely recommend the citrus roll, baked crab hand roll, snapper nigiri and yellowtail sashimi. Thank you Yume I will definitely be back!!!
