This place honestly is the best! I have had a lot of Chinese food in my life and let me tell you this place is absolutely astonishingly delicious! If you’re in Sioux Falls this place is a must! I am telling you it’s the best Chinese food in America change my mind I dare you! I got to meet the 93 year old chef that prepared absolutely decadent dishes thank you for your perfection! I wish I could give I higher rating

It was our first time here and the food was so good! Loved every dish we got! Definitely recommend the steamed pork buns! Our waiter was very nice. The only downsides to our visit was that it was very warm inside the restaurant, granted it was 93 degrees outside today but I don’t think there was any AC inside the restaurant. It was uncomfortably warm and humid inside. Even ceiling and/or standing fans would’ve helped. Also, I don’t think the prices on the menu were all up to date because our bill came out to quite a bit more than we were expecting given the prices we saw on the menu. We just paid our bill though and didn’t question it. We will definitely come back again but probably on a cooler temperature day.

The entry and foyer are a little helter skelter but do not let this turn you away. On a road trip on Christmas found this to be one of the few places open and wasn't hoping for much, but was I wrong! They have a selection of Americanized Chinese food like fried sweet and sour, but save that for those that don't know what Chinese food is. I sampled several of the dim sum and tried a couple of the entrees. The pork belly was phenomenal. The five spice was fragrant, and reminded me of a Chinese dish I had in Malaysia. The dumplings melted in your mout, and everything was superbly fresh. As it was a holiday it was very short staffed. The attendant ran the whole room, serving multiple guests and didn't skip a single beat. If you love Chinese you have to make this a part of your dining experience.

I have been wanting to eat dimsum for some time, but whenever im in a city, i always miss it since it's already after 3pm. First time in Sioux Falls and only here for the night. I called and said they were open till 930pm, but when we got there at 830pm, they were closed, so we knocked. I know sometimes business close early if there are no customers. So better call and let them know ur coming. They let us in! I was surprised by the dimsum choices they had! (No more shark fin though). I know people want fast service but if it's not sunday morning or busy day.. they have to cook it and it takes time. I can say this is one of the best dimsum places I've ever eaten in the country (with their prices?! Yes!!) My husband even said i was enjoying the food a lot. Too bad im only here for 1 night. I also love the people here, i felt bad coming in when they already closed but they were very happy to accommodate us and friendly! The tea was also good. I believe it was jasmine.

The food was amazing and the waitress was very nice!!

Google
Best Chinese food in Sioux falls. Very authentic, very hospitable. Pig intestines are exquisite, the black pepper squid is delious and the chicken feet are a staple. If you have not eaten here please do. Edit 5-22 They some how get better and better every time. The shrimp rolls are excellent. Edit 5-28-22 They make homemade pastries, the ones pictured are a taro pastry, custard pastry, and a vanilla cream custard bun. All of them are exquisite. If you eat bear claws in the morning try these, you will never eat a bear claw again. They also make regular bread, it doesn't matter if there is not enough filling or its just plain bread. Their homemade bread alone is amazing.

Google
This place was clean, the staff was super nice and helpful. The decor was SO cute. The food was off the hook good, we had steamed wontons, beef noodle, spicy chicken and bokchoy. Would definitely come here and grab some food. 2024 they will be revamping the menu to be even more authentic! 100% recommend!!

Google
Friendly and attentive staff. Delicious Dim Sum. Authentic flavors, warm welcoming environment and great selection. If you are like me you love weird and rare dishes. I've been craving chicken feet since I moved here, I was pleasantly surprised to find Beef Tripe, beef stomach and chicken feet. Don't worry they have other less exotic dishes as well. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Little pricey but better food quality than regular Chinese, owner was friendly and helpful

Gary G.

Yelp
Stopped again today as their site said open. However it wasn't. Won't be giving them a 3rd chance as we've wasted gas and time trying to support this business

Carol W.

Yelp
The food and service were excellent! We are not from the area, sadly, because we would be here OFTEN if we were. Huge selection of item! I had the Chicken with Three sauces, my husband had Black Pepper Beef, we had chicken fried rice, and pan fried dumplings, best Chinese food we've had in years. Sesame balls for dessert. Yummy!!! Forgot to mention that the portions are huge.

Yelp
I had high hopes for Yummy House Chinese Restaurant in Sioux Falls, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. We came in for Dim Sum, but we were disappointed. The menu had a decent variety of options, but when we tried to order them, they were out of much of the menu. What they did provide us was a major letdown. I ordered the Sweet and Sour pork, which was bland and had a weird almost ground beef texture. The fried rice was dry and lacked any real flavor, making it a disappointing side dish. And the noodles we ordered tasted a bit too sweet. The portion sizes were decent, and.we received a complimentary order of their chive cakes as an apology. They were fine, but not what I'd been looking for. I still appreciated the overture, however. She explained that they will be updating their menu, and supply chain issues caused the issues with the food. The restaurant itself was cute, with cartoon buns on the walls. Hopefully, the menu and food quality issues will work themselves out.

Stacy S.

Yelp
I love the Yummy House. Ford If you are looking for the closest thing to authentic Chinese, check this place out. The sesame balls are the best I've ever had!

Ralph T.

Yelp
Tried to eat here several times but is always closed even when within their advertised hours.

Ron S.

Yelp
Absolutely the best Chinese food in Sioux Falls and the only Dim Sum anywhere around the area. Joyce and her mother Mai are really nice people, have gotten to know them both. Mai just recently was in the Hospital for a little over a week and at 90 yrs. of age, quite remarkable. They have gone to China for the month of February, so I will have to wait to get to enjoy their delicious food until they return. Some times the service is a little slow but it is because they have very little help and have to do everything, take the order, cook the food and bring it to the table, but because it is so good, I am more than willing to wait. I can't forget the fact that they keep the place so clean. I give them a 10 on a scale of 1-5.

Yelp
A true diamond in the ruff. Only place in Sioux Falls I've been able to find dim sum. My wife and I ordered a noodle dish and 4 different dim sum (small plate) options. Everything was cooked to perfection and executed flawlessly. The staff is very busy so be prepared for a bit of a wait.
google avatar

Nathanial B.

Yelp
We absolutely loved this cute spot! The wait staff was incredibly kind, and the food was delicious! The menu is almost like a scrapbook with big pictures, English and Chinese. Typically a huge menu like this would scare me, but everything here was perfect. We will be coming back to support this newer business very soon!

Megatron D.

Yelp
I love this place! Lots of new and exciting Chinese foods to try alongside the standard options we are used to here in the Midwest. I have tried a lot of the menu and haven't been disappointed with any of it. The service is friendly and very helpful when explaining the menu.

Yelp
I am very glad that Sioux Falls has a Dim-Sum restaurant in town and it's not just a mediocre place. All the food that I tried including Shu Mai, Sharkfin, Fried dumpling, duck, shrimp walnut, fried tofu shrimp roll taste really good. The spring roll and custard bun is so so. They just recently opened a week ago so the service are not really settling yet so it was quite a long wait (30-45 mins) before we got our food but I'm sure that it will be better with time. With the quality of food and the service mind of all the servers, they sure have me as a regular customer

Yelp
This was our first time here. We were excited to try this and we were not disappointed. My wife and I both ordered the bundled meals which came with a soup(Egg Drop, Hot and Sour, or Wonton), an appetizer of either a Crab Rangoon or a Vegetable Spring roll as well as an entree. My wife had the Sweet and Sour Chicken which was hot and delicious. Tender pieces of chicken all in a wonderful sweet sauce. I had the "Gong Bao Chicken" which I know as Kung Pao Chicken. It was hot and spicy and full of flavor. We both had the fried rice which was hot and seemed to be freshly made and had a nice texture and flavor to it. No disappointments with either of these courses. We were excited to know that we'd found our new favorite Chinese restaurant. We will be back SOON. Excellent service. Meal took a few minutes longer than usual but we were warned by the staff since they were busy. We will be back very soon and we are anxious to try the numerous entree items they have on their colorful menus which come complete with pictures. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
The food was pretty good, I mean I've had worse Chinese around town. The restaurant is M&M themed on the inside, pretty interesting. I had the beef and broccoli, nothing to write home about but better than some places.
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
Yummy! Fantastic service and even better food. Always a hit, never a miss! Good variety.

Donna V.

Yelp
The food tasted good. However, it looks like the sweet and sour sauce was just dumped in the bag. There were a lot of great reviews. I didn't see anything like this.
google avatar

Elvis T.

Yelp
We wanted to like this place. The reviews made it sound like this place was amazing. But the food we had was horrible, not fresh at all and looked like it was frozen food heated up in a microwave. It wasnt even the fact that it wasn't authentic chinese, we are used to that. It was more that when I bit into the dim sum, I spit it out. Tasted like it went bad, and wasn't even hot. Definitely a huge let down.
google avatar

Mary W.

Yelp
Owner is very friendly & speaks Mandarin. Decor is fusion Asian. Love the menu is jammed packed with food photos. Everything we ordered was tasty like traditional food. I'd def try more dishes if I'm back in town.

Alina C.

Yelp
Absolutely recommend this place! The owner is friendly and the service is quick . I've tried multiple dishes here the pig buns are a fun dish to add (they have no meat) . The only con is there is only one server so be patient they are doing their best * If you are doing takeout food usually runs from 15-25min
google avatar

Pao L.

Yelp
Great little find and extensive menu. If you want authentic food then here is where you go. I will be frequenting this establishment more often.
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
Food was ok for Sioux Falls or people never have the dim sum food before. But overall business service is shady. The receipt was fully written in Chinese so you don't know what they charge. For $34 total, they charged me $12 for tax . One dish, there's a bug in it so the waitress took it back but still charge on my receipt. I would never go back.
google avatar

Fred W.

Yelp
I think it might be in everyone's best interest if this restaurant closed. At least for awhile. Food was fine, but everything was a mess. Lobby was unclean, menu was convoluted. Took about 2 hours to get food here. All other patrons had the same experience. They seemed fully staffed, so I don't think this was covid-related. Just disorganized and poorly executed. Maybe close for a couple of weeks, clean thoroughly, tighten up the menu and the kitchen processes?
google avatar

Chloe F.

Yelp
This spot is great for authentic Chinese food and dim sum! My fiancé got the duck soup and we got several different dumplings including the custard buns and potstickers. They were sooo flavorful and good!! The lady who owns it is very kind too. We recommend this 10/10!
google avatar

Yelp
Yummy House was not so yummy. 80% of the items on their menu was "out!" We stopped along the way to Mount Rushmore on 9/3/21 at 5pm. Their steamed Chinese broccoli was the best dish we had and it was mediocre (at best). The waitress was nice and bubbly...did her best to try to distract us from the fact she kept saying almost every dish we wanted was "out!" My 10 year old liked the pork dumpling that had NO Pork in it. It was filled with sweet custard and the only reason it's called pork dumpling is because it was shaped like a pig. Disappointed. Not worth even coming...drive on!

Yelp
First time out of town customers. Stopped by for some afternoon dim sum. The atmosphere and restaurant was very nice. Vibrant, inviting and clean. Service was good and staff was very friendly. Loved that they had a dim sum menu. Not all options were available, maybe only about 25% of the menu which was disappointing. The egg rolls were phenomenal. The chicken buns and pot stickers were ok. They were very authentic, however lacked in flavor. They were both bland. Would definitely give them another chance when they have a full menu available.
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
Finally a good chinese place. The seafood rice noodle was really good. Hot and sour soup was great. The shrimp wonton was fun too. We will be coming back.
google avatar

Bethany B.

Yelp
Such a great addition to Sioux Falls. The menu was easy to follow and there are pictures of most items. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food came out at a great pace and was so delicious and hot. We will definitely be back
google avatar

Roselyn L.

Yelp
The food was very yummy and I love when. The food is hot and tasty.the service was also good

Yelp
Driving through Sioux Falls and wanted Chinese food for lunch. Oh my goodness! This place was amazing. Their menu is like a picture book. I loved being able to see what the dish would look like. Highly recommend the hot and sour soup and the spring rolls. We were looking forward to trying the pot stickers but they were sold out. Next time!! I don't remember the names of the entrees we order but they were delicious, too!!

Dick F.

Yelp
Service was poor, food didn't taste like Chinese, just mush. Don't waste your money !!
google avatar

Hollie L.

Yelp
Everything was absolutely wonderful, my dad and I had never had dim sum before and our waitress knew exactly the best things on the menu to try. We wound up ordering the sticky rice wrapped with lotus leaf, chicken bun and walnut bun! The walnut bun was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this place, it is such a friendly environment with great little pictures on the walls!

Abigail B.

Yelp
Went here for a midweek lunch. Ended up not getting anything crazy because their lunch deals were pretty good (7.88 for an entree, rice, and an appetizer). I ordered sesame chicken which was pretty sweet but still tasty, just not my favorite, but I don't know what I was thinking getting Americanized food at a dim sum restaurant. That said THE DIM SUM IS WHERE ITS AT. I should have order multiple orders of bao . They have a wide variety and the bun was fluffy and light. So good. I will be back and have already started recommending Yummy House to my friends and family.

Tim O.

Yelp
They have a HUGE variety of food especially for a Chinese place. But overall the food wasn't any better than places such as Panda Express. We did wait a veryyy long time for our food, but the workers were extremely nice
google avatar

Kevin G.

Yelp
This place is an unexpected gem among Chinese restaurants in Sioux Falls. The food was fresh and delicious. They have a wide selection of authentic (duck, intestines, things I didn't recognize) as well as typical "American" Chinese options. Everything we got was piping hot. The flavors were a step above what we've experienced at similar restaurants in town, particularly my wife's pork. The server was very kind, and went out of her way to ensure we had a great meal. We even ended up with a bonus pot sticker. The surprise of the evening was the porky buns. We were willing to wait the ten minutes to make them, and they did not disappoint. They were a fun experience: imagine a steamed bun with a cartoon pig face. Then when you bite into it...wow, a soft roll with unique flavor and a lightly custardy center. Overall, great time and highly recommended.

Julie N.

Yelp
There are a lot of items on the menu that they don't have. If it has a dot on it, then they should have it. Seriously, just get new menus. It's nice to have dim sum, and I would try it again. The owner did come out to say hello and explained some of the new things she will be offering in December.
google avatar

Chase S.

Yelp
Very slow, and they weren't offering half of their dim sum menu due to "being out".
google avatar

Jessemine K.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!! Will be going back again! The fried tofu was my favorite! The staff is so nice! Everything is cooked to order so do not think you'll be in and out quick!!!!
google avatar

Richard K.

Yelp
I've been waiting for a good Chinese restaurant to open up in SF. I've been here several times since they've opened and I LOVE it! Everything I've tried has been exceptional. The dim sum is great too!
google avatar

Jordan H.

Yelp
Honestly amazing! Just a heads up that they do not have their full menu prepared at all times. Don't let that dissuade you. Try some new things. I have never tried anything I didn't like!
google avatar

Jon L.

Yelp
Great new addition to Sioux Falls dining! Wide variety of authentic dishes and some great dishes for the less adventurous. It's still pretty new and they don't have the full menu yet but it's a great start! Try the dim sum and boba teas!
google avatar

Julie J.

Yelp
Great little unexpected find in Sioux Falls!! The Dim Sum was authentic, hot & fresh! It is one of the better places I have had dim sum!! The service was friendly and efficient! They still did not have some of the items on the menu but feel this will change as they get more business!
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
Food are delicious!!!! Something different from your typical Chinese Food. Service is great as well!!!!!
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Yummy House is my favorite Chinese restaurant now. Visited this past weekend for the first time. Food has wonderful flavor, large portion sizes and a very large menu! The staff was wonderful! Will be going back real soon!
google avatar

Teresa D.

Yelp
Friendly, helpful, efficient, service. Well prepared food & amazing selection. Food is delicious. I highly recommend this unique, authentic restaurant for a wonderful, satisfying experience.
google avatar

Nada T.

Yelp
The food we ordered for takeout was EXCEPTIONAL. Fresh, flavorful, and all the veg was nice and crisp, not soggy! Hands down the best Chinese food we've had in Sioux Falls - looking forward to trying many more of their dishes. The sweet and sour soup is dense with rich broth and flavor. The dumplings WOW, everything was great!

Pepper H.

Yelp
Authentic chinese food place that does cantonese food extremely well. Only place to get true dim sum in sioux falls and better than some places we have eaten at in California. The service is attentive and friendly. One of our favorite places to eat.

Kimberley M.

Yelp
A very disappointing visit as Sioux Falls does not have a dim sum restaurant and Yummy had less than one-third of the dim sum menu available. Why have the menu if you can't offer it??? In addition, the rice noodle enclosed shrimp dim sum had only three shrimps and the rice noodle was falling apart completely which I had never experienced in all my years of eating dim sum on the east coast. Dim sum entrees were over priced and all three disappointing. I won't be back.

Jessie B.

Yelp
My family was blown away. The food was pretty good. The staff were super friendly and hard-working. Only possible complaint is the limited items on the menu, but with a variety of choices, that was ok. Highly recommend!

Olivia D.

Yelp
Yummy House is the perfect name for this restaurant. It is the best Asian food I have ever had. Everything down to the egg drop soup, a simple but staple dish, is simply delicious. However the stars of the show in my opinion are their steam buns. The bbq pork and walnut buns are insanely delicious. I have waited a long time to find good steam buns and boy was it worth it. Also to add they are extra careful during covid, the staff wears masks and they check your temp before you are seated. Finally their restaruant is so clean you could eat off the floor. So please give a little love to a local business and I promise you, you won't regret it.
