My absolute favorite gluten free bakery. My partner and I came here while on a date in Pasadena and we were not ready. There is a wide variety of incredible desserts. My partner eats gluten, dairy, eggs, etc, and he LOVES the cakes here, swears by them. I've never tasted such delicious allergen-friendly frosting (or really such great frosting PERIOD). The cakes are to die for, but the ube cookies are my personal favorite find. Please support this business.

Both my kids have food allergies and severe eczema so they can’t have eggs, dairy, and most nuts. Finding a good cake in LA has been an EXPEDITION, let alone finding a good cake that is also vegan and gluten free (for the party we had many gf guests). My son was turning 1 and I wanted to get him an allergy friendly smash cake that was special and beautiful. No I didn’t want to get him a rubicon vegan cake from the market (have you seen the ingredients list on that thing?) especially since it would be his first time eating sweets. For the rest of the party guests who had a gf or vegan needs I bought a plain white 8” cake that I decorated with strawberries. I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS AND LET IT THAW OVER SIX HOURS BEFORE SERVING. I can’t believe how many ppl write bad reviews of Yvonne’s cakes after eating it straight from the fridge when the instructions clearly say to let it thaw until the frosting is soft to the touch. Anyway, even non vegans and non gf ppl ate the cake and didn’t know it was vegan/gf and enjoyed it. I am thankful that not only are their cakes delicious and serve people’s dietary needs, the ingredients are clean.

Yvonne and her team are the BEST of the BEST! Everything about the experience was exceptional. The team is so professional, organized, and prompt. They put so much love and care into the product. I ordered a custom birthday cake and it was better than any cake I could've ever dreamed of! absolutely perfect in every way visually. The taste and texture was phenomenal, even the non vegan/GF party guests were RAVING that it was the best cake they'd ever had. It is so hard to find a fully vegan/GF bakery that does cakes that are artistic, unique, and STUNNING- I cannot say enough good things about Yvonne and her amazing team. I am so grateful to have found her bakery. She has earned a forever customer. :)

Everything about Yvonne’s Vegan Kitchen was pure excellence. The customer service, the atmosphere and the delicious treats! Rachel was such a sweetheart, she was so kind and knowledgeable about the various options they offered and extremely patient with me while I browsed. We even got to try a few samples of some new items on the menu. The space is so charming, it’s absolutely beautiful and very clean. There’s a lot of love here. Not to mention the cupcakes we ordered! We ended up enjoying them a few hours later and they were baked to perfection. Even my non vegan friends said they were delicious. I highly recommend Yvonne’s Vegan Kitchen it will not disappoint. It's one of the best vegan bakeries I've tried! Yvonne location is a little obscure. It has a cute charm to it. There's lots of flavors to choose from in cakes, cake pops, cookies, etc. I got the blueberry lemon slice cake and death by chocolate. There's no diary or eggs in the ingredients at all. The cake is super soft and fluffy! Would have never guessed it's vegan at all. Cookie (death by chocolate) was good! Think the cake tastes better, though. If you want to be pleasantly surprised in vegan option desserts, you should give Yvonne a try.

I feel like I literally manifested this place! I was sitting in my car after a yoga class, wishing I could find a gluten free bakery in the area. After developing a serious gluten sensitivity a year or so ago, I have missed a lot of my favorite foods. I decided to take a walk in this cute neighborhood because it was such a beautiful day, and lo and behold, 5 minutes later I came across Yvonne’s! I couldn’t believe my eyes! I got their jalapeño cheddar biscuit and a chocolate chip cookie— both divine. I will definitely be back! 🤍🍪 *They also have some tables outside so you can sit in the sun and enjoy your treats with a friend or two!

As a vegan who grew up on dairy everything, I’m a really tough critic of vegan bakery items, and usually do not enjoy them except for a few spots in NYC. Yvonne’s bakery change my mind - tried four different things today: a cookie, a macaroon, a cupcake and chocolate - WOW!! All were out of this world fantastic and it would not be possible for anyone to know these are nondairy and gluten-free just by the taste!! We live in San Diego and had an appointment in Pasadena, so we stopped into Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen to pick up some "road candy" for the drive home. We may have gotten a little carried away--in the best way--and left with about a dozen items. Zero regrets. Absolute standouts: the coffee cake is hands-down one of the best we've ever had--plant-based or traditional--and we don't say that lightly. Total connoisseurs over here. The ice-cream sandwich cookie was another showstopper: incredibly fresh, soft, and indulgent--pure dessert dreams coming true. We also loved the mint chocolate chip cookie, a Thin Mints-inspired treat that was perfectly crisp with just the right amount of mint. We tried three cupcake flavors; while the flavors were good, they weren't quite our preferred texture (we tend to love super-soft, ultra-moist cupcakes). That said, everything else we tried more than made up for it. We'll absolutely be back for our favorites and to try more treats the next time we're in town. So glad we made this stop--highly recommend!

Wonderful staff! Couple of things- I am not vegan or gluten free but I love the texture of vegan desserts. I feel like when having someone who worships butter and gluten says this, it means something. I tried many cakes and pastries. My favorite was the coffee cake and the New York cheesecake. Cupcakes were not bad at all. I don't love the strawberry cake as I found it very sweet but I realized that the key to most of these desserts is to defrost them or even put some in the microwave for a few seconds. This makes a huge difference and you should def do it before you try anything. I personally would've added more fresh strawberries and maybe a vegan whipped topping that mirrored whipped cream wouldn't been better than thick icing. But I'm not a chef, so who knows! Adding more fresh fruit juices would also really help. I took one star off for that cake, as it was so sweet I couldn't finish it. Honestly though, this is just my personal preference, you might love it! Overall, this place is great!! I liked Forward to trying other things. PS I'd be eternally grateful if you guys could make a key lime pie!!!!!!!!

My bestie is vegan, and I wanted to get him a special treat for his birthday. A search on Yelp led me here. Founded by French trained chef, Yvonne Ardestani, this dedicated vegan & gluten free bakery carries an array of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, other baked delights, vegan cheese, & savory options. The shop is small and there is no seating available. Erin was friendly and happily answered my questions. I selected a Lemon Curd Cupcake for my friend ($5.75) and a slice of Coffee Cake for myself ($5.30). OMG the coffee cake was sofa king delicious! It was moist, flavorful, and the crumb topping was perfect. It was addictingly good. I'm craving it as I type this. My friend loved the cupcake. Now I need to go back and try more of Yvonne's tempting treats. *Custom cakes & catering available. *Metered street parking.

This little shop is a vegan heaven! There are so many delicious looking options to choose from, and when I went in Yvonne was offering small samples of the cookies to try. I tried the matcha cookie, and even though it was a tiny sample it was delicious, great matcha flavor and not too sweet. I ended up getting a slice of pandan pie, which was insanely good. I had never tried pandan before, and Yvonne was so sweet explaining to me what it would taste like. It's amazing how incredible the food here tastes despite being vegan and gluten free. The shop itself is pretty small and does not have seating but there are a few tables and chairs outside. Highly highly recommend!!

This place is amazing on all levels. It's delicious, personal, and a healthy option for those sensitive to dairy, gluten, and looking for vegan option. I went to UC Santa Cruz with Yvonne and so it hit me personally to have a fellow banana slug create a successful business! My only wish is that this was up north near my house... oh wait they deliver nationwide! It's a small boutique but they have outside tables and seating on the sidewalk which makes it even more charming. Next time I'm in SoCal in Pasadena, I'll be back to try more!

The ladies working here super sweet and helpful with recommendations. I tried the chocolate cake, carrot cake, and the pandan cookie and all were delicious. It's a small space, so plan to take out your sweeties to enjoy at the park or at home.

I've been wanting to try Yvonne's for a while since my husband has a dairy allergy and sticks to vegan desserts. We got a 6-inch confetti cake and a slice of mint chocolate cake, but unfortunately, both were way too sweet for our taste. The frosting also stayed firm even after leaving the cake at room temperature overnight. I understand that making the perfect vegan frosting is tricky, but we've had smoother, better-textured vegan cakes before, so I know it's possible. Vegan cakes and baked goods are generally expensive, so I'd recommend trying a few slices or cupcakes first to find your favorite flavor before placing a custom order. That way, you can specify your preferences more accurately and get a cake that better matches your taste. I really like the aesthetic of their cakes, so I'm leaving this review neutral in the hope that they can improve the quality a bit.

My family and I get cakes from Yvonne's because we have members with deathly allergies against dairy, nuts, and seeds. I'm talking the throat swells and closes up kind of allergies. So it was very important to find a bakery we could trust for our special occasions. We have peace of mind that any items with allergens are disclosed and items without allergens are really free of allergens. I got a confetti cake for my brother's birthday. I added $3 for the cake inscription. I later realized the inscription wasn't complete because the letter I was missing a dot and the letter T was missing a cross. That was a bit annoying considering other bakeries don't charge for inscription and didn't make these mistakes. The cake itself was very very moist and dense. The frosting was very sweet and buttery. A little bit of cake goes a long way. I got the 6 inch 2 layer cake for $72 and my family of 6 ate half of it because it is very dense and sugary. My family appreciated the sprinkles were colored by vegetables. Overall, the cakes are good for being vegan and on the expensive side. However, for my family, it's worth the peace of mind to enjoy an occasion without anyone having an allergic reaction.

Picked up a few slices of various cakes from FYH Market, so I can't speak to the actual store, just the product. The cakes I tried (Ube, pumpkin caramel) were very dry, very crumbly, and too sweet. Not for me.

Stopped by on a whim so good!!! Vegan and gluten free my goodness I'm in heaven. Reasonably priced sweet staff and delicious pastries. Will be back!!!!

OMG!! I heard about this place from listening to the Handsome podcast and it is now starred in my FAVS!! It has been difficult to find a vegan and GF bakery that makes food taste like I'm not missing out on anything yummy. I tried several items, including the goatless cheese and SCORE! And how do I know that this place is a keeper, my hubby who always knows when he is eating vegan items didn't bat an eye when he gobbled up my goodies. The staff were professional, friendly, and made some great recommendations. It's not in the busy part of Pasadena, so no issues with parking. Thanks for the recommendation Tig...I'll be back!

D' freakin' licious! Coming from someone who's been trying to be vegan(ish) and gluten free-trying to fix some health issues, it's been a goal of mine to find places where I can indulge! This is guna be one of my staples because they have ube AND pandan pastries which are my FAV! This bakery is quite small, if you come in a big group it might get a little cramped. Gives off a cozy and old school feel. There is a parking lot ( I think you have to pay tho) across the street and street meter parking. Service was super nice. Friendly when asked questions. They even recognized me when I came in twice the same day lol.

I absolutely love this spot! They had such a wide variety of vegan/gluten free cookies, cupcakes, and cakes! The service was super friendly and the cute displays made everything look delicious! My favorite items were the cakes balls, they were super moist and tasted exactly like the regular cake balls you might order from Starbucks. If you're looking to find vegan/gluten free alternatives to your favorite desserts, definitely give this spot a try! :)

I was having trouble looking for a small gluten free cake for a friend's birthday when I found this vegan, gluten free bakery on yelp. I dropped in and picked up one of their GF birthday cakes for $28, not too bad for how it cute it was. I didn't get to try the cake itself but get to try some samples they had. I really couldn't tell it was vegan and gluten free. I ended up snagging an ube and a pandan cookie for the road that I enjoyed.

So many choices....and very good "bad" stuff...I use the term bad loosely meaning it isn't good for me just cuz it is Vegan but I love to support the business if possible. Especially if the stuff tastes good!!!!! I was walking by to go to the Jackalope Arts Fair and I saw this place walked in quickly to take a look and had a little sample of the coffee cake...it was really good so I told the gal I'd be back after I'm done with the Arts Fair..... Small little bakery where things are baked on site. I didn't get to meet the owner Yvonne I think she was in the back making things. True to my word I came back and I bought a Lemon Cake slice and some I think it was molasses cookies.... Dang these things were good and addicting....I'm glad I don't live nearby!

Delicious and not overly sweet gluten free baked goods. I'm just gluten intolerant, not vegan, so I usually say "bring on the butter!" If I'm going to be celebrating, but the assortment we had for my 40th birthday recently was wonderful. We tried the berry pie, some cake pops, and a cookie, as well as a few samples in store and it was all really good. Now I just need another excuse to visit!

I SHOULD have so many more photos from years past, but we always start eating before I get to take a picture! So glad Yvonne has had the opportunity to open a storefront and bring her delightful & delicious talents to more of Pasadena and the Los Angeles area. From small bites to sheet cakes, 'chedda' biscuits to banana cream pie - Yvonne's has it all. I've placed orders in advance, walked in and purchased out of the case, found in local grocery stores, and the quality is always amazing. Absolutely love the adorable new store and I'm sure I'll be back soon!

I've found my go-to bakery for cakes! I ordered a vintage heart shaped strawberry cake with black frosting for my wife's birthday and it's delicious! Very happy with my order and will definitely be coming back again and again!

My wife is gluten free and my daughter has an egg allergy. This place is perfect for both (vegan + gluten free). They dont get baked goods often so it was a special treat. It tasted pretty good, i could barely tell a difference between normal donuts. The owner was friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a vegan or gluten free shop, this place is perfect

Was really looking for an awesome delicious vegan GF cake for my birthday, instead got something lackluster with excess and hard "frosting". For 100 dollar cake, I was expecting something quality. The ratio of cake to frosting is about 60% cake (at best) and 40% frosting. The GF cake is a bit dry, nothing amazing in taste, the frosting is mainly palm oil that is solid and falls apart when cutting. The two do not go together at all. By the way, I doubt anyone expects to purchase a cake, then leave it out 5 to 6 hours "at room temperature" to eat it. This burden of an expectation on your customers is beyond absurd. Take ownership of your inferior product and change the recepie rather than blaming the customer. There's plenty of gluten free vegan cakes that are smooth and delicious upon purchase, this just isn't one of them. Period.

I visited Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen after a couple of friends of mine raves about their vegan pastries because I wanted THE perfect cakes for my birthday. The bakery itself resides in a little corner around Pasadena. It's relatively small but highly adorned with pastry decorations for sale and counters with an abundance of goodies. Yvonne and her team were present to guide me through everything. I initially couldn't decide what to order because I had so many flavors of cake I wanted to try! I ended up with not just one, not two, not even three or four, but FIVE cake slices: Blueberry and lemon curd cake Chocolate cake Confetti cake Strawberry cake Vanilla-raspberry frosted cake Each cake flavor was truly stupendous. And gluten free too?! It was tough to select favorites, but when it comes to fruit-flavored cakes...I don't know, Yvonne does it best. I've also tried Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen's Pandan loaf and ginger date molasses cookies. They're both superb as well, so I've never had anything I didn't like from this bakery. Highly recommend, 100/10 stars!

This was my first time visiting Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen, and I'm so happy I found it! As I've been changing my eating habits, it's been hard to find treats that fit my new diet, but this place is perfect. Their sugar cookies are amazing and the chocolate cookies are incredibly moist and delicious. The best part is that everything is gluten-free and vegan! The shop is super clean and organized, and the staff is so kind. I had my dogs with me, and when I asked for a cup of water, the cashier happily handed me one for my pup, which I thought was really sweet. The great service, warm atmosphere, and delicious treats make me so excited to come back!

I've ordered here many times and it's such a consistent hit every single time. Not only does everything always look way too pretty to eat but it's super tasty. Perfect balance it's not overly sweet to where you can't enjoy it but it's also really flavorful . Not to mention they have amazing service I called to send a last minute gift via uber eats yesterday and they were super friendly and accommodating. I'm sure they're super busy and they still took their time and effort with my order I am very grateful and highly recommend! My favorite has to be there cookies and cheeses but cakes and everything else is just as good ! Thank you Yvonne :)

Great vegan bakery. "Kitchen" is a misnomer because there are only sweets there, nothing savory. Prices are a bit high - a slice of cake was $9, a cupcake was $5, etc. This made it tough for me to try more than just a few items. Speaking of prices, shockingly, no prices are listed! You have to ask the cashier for the price of every item. This is tough when there are different prices for even the same type of item - e.g., cookies are between $3-$5 each.

This bakery is ridiculous. I've been buying Yvonne's products for years, but always at grocery stores. The fact that she opened a brick and mortar so close to me makes it just way too easy to go overboard on amazing baked goods, and I'm so happy and so upset about it both at the same time. Happy because everything here is tasty. EVERYTHING. I'd say the majority of the products are on the sweet side, but there are savory options like breads, cheese-spreads, crackers, and biscuits too. There's probably something for everyone. I'm upset because Yvonne's has gone from a rare grab at the grocery store to a semi-weekly expenditure. And while the entire shop is delicious, it's not cheap, which is something I have to remind myself while shopping. As soon as I step in the shop, I'm hypnotized by the display cases, calling me to buy all of it. Must... resist... And of course, I probably shouldn't be grabbing pie every day, but this shop is on the way to my kid's preschool, soooooo.... yeah. Dangerous. Donuts, cakes, breads, cupcakes, cookies, pies, sweet breads, biscuits, cheeses, and more. The "goat" cheese spread is what my wife and I have been hooked on for practically a decade, but with the bakery here in Pasadena, we've got a whole new set of addictions. The jalapeño cheddar biscuits are always a must. The bread pudding is incredibly rich but so, so good. I like the ube and pandan cookies because they're not over-the-top sweet. We generally grab an assortment just to shake things up, along with our staples. We've even snagged a number of the small Happy Birthday cakes for my kiddos. Yvonne setting up shop in Pasadena is a solid win for the city. And yes, everything is vegan, but in most cases you'd never know. This is top-kotch baking, plain and simple, so don't feel like this is a "place for vegans." It's a place for people who like baked goods. The only not-great thing I can think of is the parking. The parking is rough around here, so swinging through to grab things quickly can be a challenge. And like I said earlier, the price tag can climb pretty quickly. But as we've all heard a million times, you get what you pay for. And Yvonne's is absolutely worth it.

YVK is a great place, if you're looking for for vegan baked goodies and delights. For your local Pasadena folks, it's just behind Castle Green. Easy to get to plenty of street parking you walk in it's immaculate you're surrounded by. Absolutely delicious options on myself. Had to come in today for a cookie decorating kit discovered they had nut-free options for carrot cake cupcakes, so you know I had to get some of those. The service is outstanding. I have the pleasure and opportunity to meet the owner Yvonne, who is kind and gracious. Found my vegan bakery in the heart of Pasadena well worth the schlep from the West Valley! To all my elites if you've not checked this place out, you need to help spread the word !

Top of the line bakery and most appreciated, vegan AND gluten free which is a rare gem to find. Absolutely adore their ube cake, strawberry cake, and mocha chocolate cakes. All of the cupcakes absolutely delicious as well with vanilla raspberry as our favorite. Love love love the chocolate and pink sprinkles regular size and mini size donuts and thankful dozens can be ordered in advance. Lots of cookies, cake pops, and more available. Hope to try the matcha and ube cookies next. Located at the heart of downtown Pasadena near Colorado Blvd shops and green parks. Plenty of seating outside. I was planning a birthday lunch for my coworkers whose birthday was in December 2023 and January 2024. One of my coworkers is vegan and he was one of the b-day folks. I wanted to get a vegan cake for him so I was in search for a bakery that makes vegan cakes. I started with Susie Cakes in Pasadena, but they don't make vegan anything LOL. However, thanks to them... they recommended Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen in Pasadena. Hence, here I am. I got a chance to meet the owner on my first visit of this small, but quaint and lovely bakery. She is a very nice lady. We had a wonderful conversation and connection. She offered me some free sample cookies. A couple of them were very tasty especially the Death by Chocolate Cookie... cool name, isn't it? Before I order the vegan cake, I wanted to try their cake slices. I got the strawberry slice, chocolate slice, red velvet slice, and a few others. I really liked the strawberry and chocolate slices the most... they were slightly dense and not too sweet, but of good portion. Please be forewarned that you must leave your full cake or cake slices out in room temperature for several hours so they can soften. It took a very long time for my cake slices to soften because my house was cool inside. Actually, they never did soften LOL. I guess I could have microwaved them for a few seconds... I know better next time. Besides the cake slices and cookies, I also got the Cranberry Dill Cheese and Crackers. This item was SO VERY GOOD! It is so addicting!! I can keep eating it and not stop until the log and crackers are all gone. My eldest daughter and I did just that LOL. It was better than the cake slices and cookies hands down IMHO. Get the Cranberry Dill Cheese now! As for the crackers, you can use any crackers... Trader Joe's has a similar cracker as Yvonne's per Yvonne... thank you Yvonne for the tip... I forget the brand, just look for a bright fluorescent light green box... you can't miss it. After trying the cake slices, I ended up choosing the strawberry vegan cake. I called the shop and placed my order. Vegan cakes can get really pricey. I don't think I have ever spent more than $100 for a cake and I just did here. It's all good. Great tasting healthy cakes come with a price just like any organic fruits and veggies. However, the day I picked up the cake, it was not left out at room temperature as I had requested. The cake had hardened from the refrigeration. There was not enough time for it to soften before my team's lunch celebration party. The owner found out about the situation and immediately reached out to me and offered a newly made strawberry vegan cake and have it delivered to me, but it was too late as the lunch party had already started and I didn't get her message until after the fact. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I ended up taking the cake home as 99% of it was not eaten at the party. No fault of the owner. She was very apologetic and offered me a discount if I should order a vegan cake from her in the future. Thank you Yvonne for reaching out to me to resolve the dilemma. I appreciate you. I would have given 5 stars for this review, but I had to knock off 1 star for the mishap. I may be back for the cakes only if they have not been refrigerated yet so I can eat them the way they should be eaten in its original form. I will definitely be back for the Cranberry Dill Cheese and Death by Chocolate Cookie. Btw, everything they make here is vegan. Thank you!

Walked into check out this place heard a lot of really good things about it. The ambience was really nice. Charisma took care of me at the counter. Very helpful and super sweet. The cupcake was very good. Highly recommend. Thanks again will be back.

Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! I Just placed our first order with Yvonne's kitchen for our son's bday! I tried the cookies beforehand because they looked so delicious and I couldn't help myself! Wow! Absolutely amazing! So soft and flavorful! I Can't believe these are vegan and gluten free! We got the ginger cookies, chocolate cookies, cookies with frosting, and funfetti cake! What a gem!! Will be back very soon!

I stopped by the Pasadena location and got coffee cake and the jalapeño cheddar cheese scone. Both were amazing. i will go back and try more stuff!

It is a bougie bakery with a variety of cookie flavors and cake flavors. They were kind to provide samples of some cookies too. The people were pleasant and answered any questions about the offers. They had some outdoor seating along the sidewalk but no seating inside. Inside is only for looking and ordering. They use eco-friendly packaging for orders so that is also nice.

there's no prices displayed. i saw online they had cookies, cupcakes, and all these treats but the cookies are tiny af and everything looked dry. i was going to walk out until i saw there was a refrigerated area with cake and pie slices. it all looked good so i just grabbed a lil piece of chocolate pie. bruh......$10 for a slice of pie...that fits in the palm of your hand....diabolical. i even looked it up. $80 for a whole ass pie?? just because it's vegan and gf? places like this is what makes that lifestyle a luxury and inaccessible. shouldn't be that way. the slice was good tho that's why it's an extra star lol

I cannot rave enough about Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen. I live very close to the storefront, and I love the warmth and hospitality Yvonne has brought to our neighborhood. My husband and I stopped in one day for a sweet treat while Yvonne was working up front. She is such an incredibly kind and talented individual. Everything we tried was beyond delicious. As someone who is dairy free and gluten free, it is often challenging to find decent desserts and baked goods, but Yvonne's whips up the most incredible vegan and gluten free items. Last month my husband surprised me with a special birthday cake from Yvonne, and it was hands down the best cake I've ever had. It was an incredibly moist confetti cake that truly tasted like it was made with love and it was decorated so cute. Even if you are not vegan or gluten free, you must give Yvonne's a try. You will not be disappointed. The kitchen is innovative and whipping up some of the yummiest flavor profiles I've ever had.

Our daughter needed a vegan gluten free wedding cake and after a fun tasting with her fiancé they chose the lemon. On the big day, there was an unfortunate mix up with the delivery and the bakery saved the day by creating a brand new cake and personally delivered it to the venue! It was beyond delicious! Amazing grace under pressure and we will be using them again!!!

My experience here was amazing! I got a lemon buttercream birthday cake for my partner and it turned out great. Very decadent and delicious. The ordering and pickup process was seamless as well. Highly recommend! They also give you instructions on how it's best served. For instance, if you put it in the refrigerator, make sure to take it out 5-6 hours before serving so the buttercream becomes room temperature. The only problem is that I paid for an inscription on the cake and there was nothing on it when I picked it up :(

We ordered a lemon curd cake (vanilla cake with lemon curd on top), and it was delicious! Finding vegan lemon curd is almost unheard of, so this was a real gem of a find. A lot of times vegan and GF cakes are too dry or overly sweet, but it was not the case with this cake. If we didn't already have so many desserts for the party, I would have bought more items from Yvonne's on the day of. The dessert case inside the bakery is very tempting. I sampled a rice krispy treat and it was amazing. I will definitely be a repeat customer and will likely try some savory items next time.

Picked up a mini red velvet cake and some cheddar jalapeño biscuits. Not sure if these two items were from the day before, but they were really dry and tasteless. Bummed that I spent $50 on this B-Day treat for myself. Not worth it.

Love the variety of desserts they have... and they're all vegan!! My favorites include their pies, ube loaf, coffee cake, and cake balls.

I was looking for a delicious vegan cake at a good price, and I found the place! Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen... The best! The cake is so yummy, shaped like a heart, just how I wanted it! And the service? So sweet! No wonder they make sweets!! Haha. Yvonne and Rachel helped me out! They are so cute... Sweethearts! My birthday party was so much better with my charming cake! I'm not vegan nor vegetarian. I just love to eat and try new things. The treats were seriously top notch and I wouldn't have guessed it was vegan. That ginger molasses cookie was just the right amount of chew and a little crunch from the sugar. The creme de menthe cupcake was a mint chocolate cake base that I'll need to try at home. Total gem.

Needed a last minute cake for my daughter's birthday. I appreciate that I was able to come in, same day, and choose from a couple of beautiful, ready made options. I chose the Respberry Vanilla. My daughter and son in law loved the cake!

I'm not vegan and these were some of the tastiest desserts I've had! I do have some food allergies and enjoyed being able to sample almost everything in the case without concern. The owner offered a sample of the lemon loaf and it was delicious. I wanted to try the jalapeno chedda biscuit and she offered to warm it for me. It was delectable! I ate it in the store so it didn't make it in the photo but I added a 3 pack to my purchase because I needed more! The service was impeccable! We were given a warm welcome and thanked by the owner for making the journey to her storefront. The shop is tiny but blissfully packed with warmth and good food! There are tables and chairs outside to eat alfresco. Perfect to sample any goodie so you can run back in the store for more!

This is probably the best vegan bakery I've been too! The pandan cookie is top tier! And Yvonne is the sweetest. Definitely recommend if you're looking for vegan dessert that don't taste vegan lol

I found Yvonne's kitchen on Instagram and decided to slide into their DM's to inquiry about pricing, to my surprise they responded fairly quickly and passed along an email address I could use to place a custom cake. Once I sent the email I was in contact with Lee, who not only helped me find a cake that was in my price range but made sure I could pick my cake up a day before. The experience was so seamless, prompt, respectful, kind, caring, and beyond what I typically have experienced at most places in Los Angeles. (The service is typically good in Los Angeles, but Yvonne's was so welcoming). Before getting the cake they already had me in a good place. They had respected my price range, responded to my emails, dm's, were easy, sweet, and just overall wonderful. But I couldn't have imagined the experience getting any better until we received the cake. Whoa - exceptional. We followed the instructions and let it sit out for a few hours, and the minute we got into the cake it blew my mind. VEGAN, GLUTEN FREE? Can't be???? But it is and it's delicious. The inside was spongey and moist (apologies to people who don't like that word), filled with incredible vanilla icing, and the outside tasted like heaven. I got a chocolate butterscotch cake, and it just melted in my mouth. I can't say enough how much Yvonne and Lee made our day. Birthday's can be harsh, depressing and trauma inducing for some people - so when you're lucky enough to deal with bakeries like theirs, it's a true blessing. Thanks for being incredible and for sending over a cake that not only blew our expectations out of the water, but for topping it with a wonderful customer experience.

I am beyond happy about this vegan cake. My birthday is around February & on their website they had heart shaped cake options. This personalized cake is absolutely gorgeous! They did such a wonderful job decorating it. It was very elegant & classy. It also tasted amazing too. I don't usually like cake, but really love the taste & texture of vegan cakes. This one did not disappoint. Their website was easy to use too. They take orders as late as a week, but allow a late service fee for those that need it sooner. It was such a smooth process & it was exactly what I wanted for my birthday. I got white frosting with funfetti type cake. I am a very satisfied customer & hope to get future bday cakes here. Thank you for making my bday so special with this beautiful cake.

Thank you, Yvonne's, for saving my birthday party! The person who was going to make my birthday cake suddenly couldn't do it and I was scrambling to find a bakery that could accommodate my order in five days. My cousin recommended this bakery to me, and I called to see if they were able to help me out. The person who I spoke with first, Lex(?), asked me what kind of cake I needed and they said they'd speak with the bakers but there was no guarantee they'd be available to fulfill my order. I said that's totally fine, and I got a call back a couple hours later from Lynn telling me they'd be able to help me out! I ordered their stemmed flower cake with chocolate cake and strawberries inside (photo attached) and I also ordered mini cupcakes, 2 dozen chocolate and 2 dozen vanilla with raspberry jam buttercream. The cupcakes were so cute and the cake came out BEAUTIFULLY!!! The cupcake with jam buttercream tasted like a graham cracker, and the chocolate cake was rich and fresh. I would absolutely order from here again and I'm so grateful to the staff and bakers for making amazing products!
