Zaffron Mediterranean Cuisine

Overpriced and awful! Party of 7 and as you see in the photos for the mixed appetizer, there is 3 olives cut into halves. And 1 Pita and a very small scoop of dips. We asked for extra bread and end up getting bill for extra pita ($2). Also there is 5% surcharge for credit card payment. White wine ragu was actually red. No respect for dietary restriction or allergies. I didn’t bother to take photos of rest of our orders but waste of money in general. Very disappointed!

First time visiting this restaurant and from the moment we sat down until the minute we left it was a great experience. The owner introduced himself and told us that everything was made to order. It's a family business which is also a plus . The food was delicious from the fresh hummus appetizer to the amazing homemade rice pudding dessert. Highly recommend. We will definitely go back.

We enjoyed our experience here. Octopus was tender and we got two kabob plates for lunch. Everything came out promptly and hot. And the servers were really nice. Food was yummy as well!

Hands down the worst Mediterranean restaurant I’ve ever been to. Thank you for ruining my birthday. The moment we walked in, the weird, uncomfortable interior already set the tone — and trust me, it only went downhill from there. We ordered the hummus combo: a mountain of hummus, and they served… six tiny pieces of pita. Six. And of course, they charged an extra $1.50 for more. Then came the “tea” for $4. It was literally a sad little grocery-store teabag thrown into not even hot water. I don’t know what’s more insulting — the price or the fact that they couldn’t even heat the water properly. The kebab? Dry as dust. The only remotely decent thing on the plate was the rice. Yes — the rice. At a restaurant. But the real disaster was my seafood puttanesca. Absolutely awful. The rice was basically drowning in an ocean of tomato sauce. The scallops tasted spoiled, the shrimp were terrible, and only the mussels were somewhat okay — but together it was just a mess. I wouldn’t eat that dish even if it were free. And the final touch: they quietly added a 4% “service fee” to my card without listing it on the check, and the server didn’t mention it at all. When I asked, he pointed to some barely-visible text somewhere on the table near door. Overall: terrible food, unpleasant experience, and shady hidden fees. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for the ruined evening.

Good food but small portions for price

Came in on Saturday for lunch and was seated immediately. The staff are welcoming and very friendly here. I ordered the Spanish octopus cocktail and the New Zealand mussels. Both dishes were fabulous. The octopus was so tender and the vegetables were fresh. The sauce had a perfect amount of kick to it. The mussels were also seasoned perfectly and had zero grit to them. They were amazing and loved the garlic bread that came with it to soak up the sauce. Definitely will be back.

I was really trying to refrain from leaving this review as I believe mistakes happen, but at this point I truly believe this wasn't a mistake. I made a reservation on 10/24 for an anniversary dinner on 10/31 at 8 PM. All was good and my reservation was locked. On the day of my reservation, I received a call from a company called Fourcast, around noon that my reservation was taken mistakenly and that unfortunately they would need to cancel it as the restaurant was closed. They also apologized stating it was suppose to happen earlier in the week. No biggie, I figured it's Halloween maybe they are closing to allow their staff to be with their kids or something of that nature. Fast forward to 5:30, 2.5 hours before my reservation that I knew was cancelled, I received a call from the actual restaurant stating my reservation was cancelled as they had a 25 person party coming in that they had to close the restaurant for and they made a mistake taking my reservation. At this point, it seems as if a 25 person party was booked after I made my reservation and they were okay just booting my reservation to accommodate the bigger party. Needless to say, this has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth for a restaurant that I have been to before and is excellent. I can't say I will be returning after this experience. As someone who has previously worked in the restaurant industry, this is not how customers should be treated.

Such a great meal. Got the baba ghanoush and hummus combo-hummus special was roasted onion-both were delicious. Had the cream of broccoli soup (soup of the day) probably the best cream of broccoli I've had. Girlfriend got the salmon over orzo-Oh Em Gee fab. I got the lamb shank-flavorful and fell right off the bone-i was in heaven. Owner was a hoot all night-really friendly and actually cared about his guest. We'll be back!

Went around 5pm on a Wednesday and were able to easily get in without a reservation. It's a physically accessible space for those using mobility equipment and was not noisy so it was easy to chat. Service was friendly and food was delicious. Would absolutely go back! Note they are BYOB.

What a find. This was my surprise to my wife and was floored at the flavor of the dishes. The freshly baked was great and the salmon was the finally. We caught it when it was empty so we had no wait for food. Fast and efficient service. Clean and a romantic setting. I can't wait till go back to Philly to try Zaffron again.

I work two minutes from this restaurant and didn't know it was there! I need to explore Haddonfield more! My boyfriend picked this restaurant for dinner. We got there around 5:15pm. There were lots of parking spots on the street available at that time. We decided to sit in the covered outside area which was beautiful! We started with the tasting plate. It was incredible and it was plated beautifully! For my entree I had the vegetarian couscous with chicken added to it. My boyfriend enjoyed the lamb ragu with orzo. We shared a piece of baklava for dessert. I mean, we had to, we can't resist it! We were both very impressed with the dishes. Everything was so good!!

Just not what this place once was. Menu items seem the same but they just aren't - not sure if there's new chefs and management but the swordfish kabobs I had were bland and "fishy" which is a telltale sign of not so fresh - the hummus was good and the baba ghanoush was tasty but runny. The tzatziki I used to crave was also bland. Service was great but I can't see myself coming back.

Disappointing. The appetizer was excellent, the hummus and the baba ghanouj was super. However they skimp on pita for some reason? With our entrees, one was just fine, and the other had extremely rubbery, overcooked chicken to the point it wasn't really edible. I'd like to rate it higher to support local but for the price, it's beaten by many cheaper places in the area.

The food here was delicious. Very small restaurant but they also have outdoor seating. Service was good & everything was so fresh. The seasonal pumpkin hummus was so yummy! My cousin & I both had salads (Italian w/ shrimp & Tuscan with salmon). We loved the combination of ingredients in each salad, and the shrimp and salmon were cooked perfectly. The shrimp were huge!!! It's a BYOB restaurant. Will definitely be back to try other things!

One of my family's favorite restaurants. We love Mediterranean food in general and this spot delivers with good portions that won't leave you feeling too full. Good ingredients and delicious options across the board. The Lamb is unreal good! It's a little tiny inside but it definitely adds to its overall charm! Great place for a date night or special occasion!

Food is always very good, pleasant service and reasonably priced. I've been many times and found everything to be consistent.

My girlfriend and I went to Haddonfield's Christmas tree lighting during candlelight shopping and wanted to get dinner afterwards. Zaffron seated us immediately without reservations despite being busy. This was my first time dining here although my girlfriend has been here multiple times and always enjoys it. In the front of the business they have an enclosed area leading out to the sidewalk offering extra seating, and while it was cold that night, temperature in the enclosure was comfortable. We were seated in the dining room. It was a bit loud but I didn't expect anything else in a crowded room. It still felt homey and relaxing. Our server was extremely nice and accommodating, but at times service as a whole was a bit slow. We started with the Zaffron Tasting Plate which included their hummus of the month (beet), red pepper hummus, baba ghanouj, two types of olives, roasted peppers, and feta cheese. We aren't a fan of beets but the server had no problem swapping out our beet hummus for another serving of their red pepper hummus. The pita bread served with the hummus and baba ghanouj was great (we probably both ate a little too much of it as they were generous with bringing extras) as was the rest of the plate. The presentation looked beautiful as the plate was filled with bright colors. Next we ordered New Zealand Mussels to split. The gravy (sauce) was delicious and could be eaten by itself with a spoon. The mussels on the other hand were green-lipped mussels and while they tasted good, they're a little bigger and chewier than I'd prefer. We finished up with splitting the Vegetarian Couscous. The portion size was huge and the plating also looked very appetizing. All of the vegetables tasted fresh. The couscous itself was light and fluffy, and the sauce it was served in was creamy, flavorful, and refreshing. We did skip dessert as we were full. There are so many things to like about Zaffron. The food was great, the atmosphere was nice, it's in a great location (right on Kings Highway in the center of downtown Haddonfield), prices are reasonable, and it's BYOB! Will definitely be back sometime in the future.

Excellent restaurant in downtown Haddonfield. Came here for the first time last night with my girlfriend and we both agreed the food, ambience and service were all stellar. We sat in the small "outside" area by the window but they had overhead heaters and a flap covering the entrance so it wasn't cold at all. Very cozy to talk and watch life go by on the street as we drank the wine we brought and ate the complimentary pita and olive oil. I ordered the Sicilian swordfish and my girlfriend ordered the slow roasted lamb shank. Both were perfectly made and incredible. I scraped my plate clean and probably would have licked it too if I didn't have better table manners. Our first time here but definitely not our last!

Zaffron is one of our favorite places to eat in Haddonfield. Whether it's lunch before shopping or dinner, it's always fantastic! I recently used them to cater a party and people are still raving about the food. Love the quaint atmosphere and friendly staff. Would highly recommend Zaffron!

I stopped by with a friend, for dinner. We were seated immediately. We chose outside seating, but under the roof of the entrance. It was a mid-week day so there was no weekend Haddonfield crowd, and no wait. Our server was super friendly and knew the menu very well. She did a great job explaining how the food was made and what we were getting. The food took a while to come out. I get it, everything is made fresh, you realize why when your plates arrive. The presentation is perfect. I'm not complaining. TO start, we ordered the Zaffron Tasting Plate. Great grouping of different humus, cheese, olives, and Baba ghanoush on the plate..... But there was 1 pita cut into 4 slices. Definitely not enough for two people, and not enough to help with dishing out all of the humus and Baba ghanoush. Shame, because everything on the plate was delicious. I've seen reviews about the lack of pita being served I don't get why this is and why it hasn't been corrected. I kind of expected the pita issue, but thought they would have corrected this by now. I mean the cost of making small batches of pita is probably pennies on the dollar. Our waitress did ask if we would like more pita, of course we said yes. She brought out one more pita, cut into 4 slices. I'm not sure if we were charged because I didn't check the bill for that. Other's have mentioned there is a charge. I ordered the Chicken Kurma... Outstanding. One of the best dishes I've had in a while. I just wish the chicken wasn't so dry and chewy. My friend ordered the chicken kabob. She liked it, but said the chicken was over cooked and chewy. I have to agree, I tried it myself. It was the same as mine. We both agreed if the chicken in going to be overcooked then maybe they should consider using cubed boneless chicken thighs, because it's hard to ruin those. She really liked the tzatziki, Basmati rice and roasted vegetables. The final bill wasn't that expensive. I thought it would have been more. Even though there's a couple issues mentioned, I enjoyed the dinner & the service. I would go back again.

Make a reservation. I made the error of not doing so but the owner made a quick accommodation. So grateful for that! The menu was absolutely delicious. Vegan friendly. Beet hummus? Who would have thought of that combination...genius! The ambience is intimate with low noise. No need to get super dressy but make sure you show up with class. Server was soft spoken and attentive. A new favorite for sure

I went to Zaffron for a much needed girls' dinner last night. It's actually the second time I've been, and when my friend suggested it, I jumped at the opportunity to revisit. It's SO good. Street parking can be a little tough in Downtown Haddonfield, but there are also lots around town. I was lucky enough to get a metered spot directly across the street. My friend reserved us on the heated patio, which is the front entrance before you get into the main dining area. It was a little cool but not like the frigid outside temp. Apparently, it was popular because I think there were more people out there than there were in the dining room. We brought a bottle of red, and the server immediately offered to open it. Love a BYOB. The bread on the table was warm and fresh , and the za'atr olive oil for dipping was just amazing. We pretty much cleaned the plate. We ordered the Zaffron tasting plate, which had 2 hummus, three cubes of feta, olives, roasted red peppers, and baba ghanouj. We chose the hummus of the month and the red pepper hummus. Both were delicious, and the hummus of the month did have beets, which I'm not the biggest fan of, but I really enjoyed it. The feta with the roasted red peppers was a moment. I don't know where they source their feta, but it was heavenly. I'd venture to say there wasn't enough pita on the plate but they very willingly gave us more when asked. For dinner, we each got a different kabob order. The chicken, the chicken Lula, and the Lula combo. Each came with vegetables, tzaziki, and rice. Everything was great except the rice. It was basmati but very bland somehow. It may just be me. My friends loved it. I'd go back again and again. I really loved it.

I've been dining here for years and the while the quality of the food has never declined and the service is always great- the jump in pricing has really shocked me lately. It's a wonderful experience dining in downtown Haddonfield - and as I said the quality of the food and service are amazing, the prices for some items are off the charts. We all had the chicken kabob platters and while tasty we felt they were overpriced at $26 ea. A bit high for the substance. Overall I'd go back - maybe for lunch when pricing is more on point.

We chose this warm and inviting restaurant, opting for the porch in the delightful evening weather. The fresh ingredients and well-paired meals ingredients made for a delightful experience in the bustling atmosphere. We'll certainly return, and as a bonus, it's BYOB.

The team at Zaffron recently provided the food for a large party we were hosting. They were fantastic to work with from beginning to end. We fed 50 people and they all came back for seconds! We chose chicken, salmon, and the Mediterranean meatballs over cous cous or rice, along with vegetables and humus. The Tuscan salad was also a huge hit. The food was prepared to perfection, held up well throughout the night, and was truly the center piece of our event. A huge thank you to Brendan and his team for helping to make our night special!

I have been going to Zaffron since it opened and have always loved it. I went the other night for the first time an a year and was really disappointed. I'm not sure if they changed owners or cooks but the food wasn't very good. I ordered tile fish over cous cous and the fish was overcooked and the tiniest piece. The cous cous had no flavor at all. My husband had to seafood puttanesca it was so small and it had almost a spaghetti sauce on it not what it used to be. My son had the white wine lamb ragu that was basically all mushrooms with pasta. My daughter in law had the red drumbeat provincial not good either. The new zeal and mussels were ok but not as good as it used to be. Overall disappointed it changed it was always great. Bring back Rocky!!! Food has changed and not for the better

This place was very overpriced. We paid $19 for a hummus tasting plate and it came with a small portion of three different hummuses and it comes with ONLY FOUR slices of pita. How is that possibly $19?? We were also charged for extra pita when we asked for some so all six of us could actually eat the hummus. We also got two meatball appetizers, which were great, but they were $30 for six! It was honestly way too expensive considering it was a mediocre meal overall.

My boyfriend and I had a great dining experience the other night at Zaffron! We started with their appetizer sampler which included two types of hummus, baba ghanouj, feta, red peppers and olives. Everything was delicious! I ordered the Tuscan butter salmon and my boyfriend ordered the slow roasted lamb shank. Both meals were excellent! Our server was helpful and attentive, and the restaurant ambiance was quiet and intimate so it made a perfect date night spot. We will definitely be back!

We were treated warmly by the owner and were seated even tho we didn't have a reservation thanks to my 1 year old daughter the staff fell in love with - we will definitely make one next time! They were all so kind to us! The food was delicious and service was amazing! We ordered the red pepper hummus, meatballs (which my daughter gobbled up), the filet mignon special (that my husband loved) and the Lula kabob. It's BYOB which we're learning - being new to New Jersey and not knowing all the rules! We can't wait to go back and take friends that come to visit.

Love this place! All organic ingredients and prepared to order. They take great pride in their service and healthy dishes. Always five stars for both.

Finally decided to give this a shot. We were not that happy. The dip platter did not offer that much and very little Pita. We were asked if we wanted more and we said yes. Discovered we were charged and not told up front. Be sure to ask. Pretty greedy to charge more when they do not give enough to begin with.

What a delight! Came here for a midweek lunch and was taken away on how well crafted the food was! The place is nestled in with other area shops and restaurants on Kings Highway. The parking can be tight, but since it was a mid week lunchtime, we lucked into a spot right in front of the restaurant! Inside, it's lit pretty well and there is ample natural sunlight coming in, creating a comfortable environment. The kitchen is towards the back and the seating in the front looks to be able to accommodate both small and large groups alike. Upon sitting, our waitress was quick serve us our menus and go over the details on specials and also offer drinks. The menu covers all things Medi and I am loving it! We went with their beet hummus, the barley soup, and the signature salad. Everything was quick from ordering to service. The portions were ample and we really enjoyed how developed the flavors of the hummus and soup were. It was a great lunch on a wintry day! They also have a house made hot sauce that the waitress gave us to try - fantastic! It's sold in house and I plan on picking up a bottle once my stash of other hot sauces runs out! Great time and great service - look forward to more times here!

Had high hopes for this place due to the amount of good reviews. My honest review is that is was mediocre. The service was very good, nice atmosphere and food mostly fresh. Baba ganoush was delicious and a promising start. The mussels appetizer not so great; seven mussels in total for $21.00...okay. They were large and a bit chewy, tasted old. Our entrees were mahi mahi and tilefish. Both fresh but somehow underwhelming. Portions seemed small for the price; more filler with the sides than anything. I'd rather pay more for a decent sized piece of fish. Coffee was very weak, diner quality. I would possibly go back for lunch and try just the kebabs, we'll see. I think I prefer Norma's in Cherry Hill.

Service is exceptional and food is delicious! Both the chicken and the lamb were tender and juicy. Atmosphere is lowly lit and romantic. Definitely a great spot in Haddonfield for something a little different!

We've been wanting to try this place for a few years and finally had a chance to go here. The service was poor. Our server didn't seem interested and I had to walk to the host booth and wait in order to have the chance to talk to our server. We weren't offered anything to drink (except water that was left on the table) and the food took a very long time to come out (the place was only 25-33% capacity). The food was not good. Everything was drenched in tomato sauce (lamb shank) and the fish was bland. Our waiter didn't check on us for over 20 minutes and when she finally did return we said we didn't like the food, our server just said "sorry. And started to walk away then stopped and awkwardly asked Over her shoulder "Do you want something else?" . We declined and she just left the table. I had to go back to the host booth, wait, and tell her we wanted the check. When she brought the check, it was the full cost of the bill. I once again had to go to the host booth, wait, and have the uncomfortable conversation of making adjustments to the bill. In the end Our server brought the check back without saying a word. They gave us 15% off the bill but between the service and the subpar food this place is not worth the obscene prices they charge. We've never had a more uncomfortable experience at a restaurant and will not be returning nor recommending this establishment.

With so many great restaurants in Collingswood, Haddonfield, it's hard to pick a favorite. However the combination of exquisite food, quaint atmosphere and excellent service . We have been searching for a while for Mediterranean cuisine. We split the appetizer of muscles and chickpea salad. I opted for the swordfish and my wife ordered the chicken kabobs. The sauce on the swordfish was to die for, portioned just enough to leave you satisfied, but not stuffed. The owner { we assume} was very friendly and talked to every guest and made sure they were having the best experience. It's BYOB which was a nice touch. We will definitely be returning.

I went to Zaffron last Saturday night and was blow away with how tasty the food was. Our table brought some William Heritage bubbly, which is right down the street, and enjoyed it with the sampler which included a mezze of olives, pita, two types of hummus, and feta. We also got the octopus appetizer which was super refreshing along with the sampler. Not only was the food great but the owner of the restaurant was so nice and welcomed everyone at their tables. Wondering what to order? I picked the sea bass served with corn chowder and rice. My bf got the lamb shank and that was the star of the table. I hope everyone checks this place out -- its very refreshing to have food like that outside of the normal Italian restaurants on the street.

Delicious on a crisp fall day and a light appetite. Decided to split the Lula wrap and their signature salad. Whoa! Such bright flavor on the salad! This delicious wrap was served on a warmed hefty pita. I'm not even a fan of beans and I ate it. The staff was very accommodating about my dislike of onion so they had a side dish of red onion for my lunch partner. I'm thinking I need to come back more often.

We came during a very very busy weekend afternoon during Haddonfield's big crafts fair. We knew we were facing a wait and were told it would be a 20 minute wait for a table. No problem - it was a beautiful day and it was easy enough to kill the time. Our group ordered hummus as a starter of course. It was absolutely delicious, though I wish they were a bit more generous with the pita slices. My friend ordered their signature salad, which she loved. My sister got the $13 octopus appetizer, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Her only criticism was that she wished it came on top of a lot more of a leafy green salad. She was still a bit hungry after. I chose the shrimp kabob, which I loved. It came with a delightful bean salad. That was so so good. Happy to return!

Walking the streets and seeing what Haddonfield really has to offer, has its rewards. I came into Zaffron just to see if they had a to go menu, something for me to look over for a future stop. That quickly came to a stop after my senses picked up this amazing aroma. Something fresh was being made, a hint of garlic was dancing around. Italians and garlic is like, a moth to a flame. Irresistible basically, it's an addiction that has no cure, no meetings one can attend. Zaffron is a husband and wife owned establishment that literally brought the taste of the Mediterranean to your table. The wife has her Sicilian influences that she adds to these amazing dishes. The husband is from the Middle East where he also has his own flare, his own unique style. This combination of his and hers ethnic and exotic back rounds will simply entice any and every ones palate. Zaffron also does not believe in fryers, or freezers, so what you are tasting is made fresh with everything being organic. Stuffed Grilled Calamari for the win! This is what I had when I came in, and I'm telling you this dish needs to be ordered. *Stuffed Grilled Calamari~ There are 3 nice sized pieces used, that is stuffed with their house made hummus. It gets better mind you, they also lightly dressed it with hints of lemon in their olive oil with that balsamic brought this to a whole different level. The calamari is also served over a bed of hummus. This is also their "hummus of the month" they use which is a Black Truffle hummus. The service from Max and Lulu was on point, friendly, making sure everything was made to my liking. They also have outside tables available if you feel the need to dine outside. The prices per dish are very reasonable with the quality and freshness that comes with it. Go in and enjoy Zaffron's fantastic dishes, I know I will be back again.

Fabulous! My meal was delicious. I enjoyed the octopus salad!!! Yum And the lamb chop w/shrimp. The Service was awesome! Our waitress was very friendly, professional and attentive. The ambiance and overall atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful. It was outdoor seating with cute little tables and umbrellas. And location is great. We took a nice walk and visited some of the stores on the strip after we ate. I highly recommend this restaurant. I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed myself.

We went to Zaffron on a beautiful Saturday night in May. We didn't have a reservation but there was an open table for two in the covered patio area. Zaffron is located in the old Amino Juice location and they have done a nice job making the space simple and sophisticated. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive and were constantly filling our water and checking on us. We started with the Baba Ghanouj and this was very flavorful with nice amount of spice and fantastic homemade pita bread. We were given some extra pita bread also with some olive oil and Tzaatziki sauce. We had two grilled entrees, the Lamb Shis Kabob and also the Shrimp and Scallop Kabob. Both were grilled nicely and used quality ingredients. These dishes came with a nice assortment of grilled vegetables and tzaatziki sauce and rice. The portion sizes were just right. ` On this Saturday night Zaffron had a solo guitarist playing for their customers enjoyment. It was a nice touch. Zaffron is a nice option for the growing array of restaurants in Haddonfield. Haddonfield is Quaker rooted and dry so it is BYOB. The prices are in the $18-25 range for entrees. We were too full to try the desserts but they sounded quite good. 3.5 to 4 stars.

We had a wonderful dinner at Zaffron last evening. The owner and wait staff was extremely outgoing, welcoming, and couldn't do enough things for us. We tried so many different things and everything we ate was delicious. The highlight was definitely the sample of hummus plate, meatball app, lamp chop and lula kabobs, and the papardelle pasta! Highly recommend and we will be back!!

My friends and I work nearby and 1-2x a month go to dinner in Haddonfield. We usually try a new place each time and we've been wanting to try this place. We sat out front under the covered porch area which is really cute. We ordered the hummus/baba ghanoush combo to share and while the two dips were amazing...it came with 4 tiny pita triangles for that $15 dish with two dips. Basically one triangle per person and even if one person was eating it still not enough. We asked for more and she brought another 4 little triangles. It was absurd at how stingy they were with bread...it's not like we asked for more dip. At no time did the server tell us we would be charged for these extra tiny pieces of pita but at the end they charged us for every few pieces they brought us. You want to charge for extra pita then no problem but bring a good amount not 4 tiny triangles. I'd rather you charge $20 and give a nice size bowl of pita than giving such a skimpy amount and making people beg. The dishes we got were all great...I had the steak kabobs which were tender and flavorful. Other dishes at the table were salmon over orzo, chicken kurma, and lula kabobs. They were all delicious. All in all a cute restaurant with flavorful dishes but they were very expensive compared to other restaurants in Haddonfield for what they give you. The service was good but when an item is extra you should be told up front and not surprised when the bill comes...doesn't make a restaurant look good when they nickel and dime you over the tiniest things.

Excellent food and service. I was not very familiar with the cuisine and needed some guidance which was provided by our very patient server.

Extremely pleased with the lunch service I received at Zaffron Mediterranean Cuisine. I just picked up my wedding dress a few stores up and was hankering for some yummy lunch. Had to watch the bloat factor, so I was trying to avoid typical heavy meals such as cheeseburger and french fries. My fiance found this place with a quick yelp search and we were very impressed by previous reviews and pictures. It was a fabulous and not overly hot June day so we sat outside in their covered area to people watch. Definitely get some type of hummus as a starter. We went with the "Hummus of the Month" special, and at that time it was Sriracha inspired. They went easy on the spice but it still had tang to add flavor. For my main meal I ordered a shrimp kabob pita sandwich that was served with tzatziki and bean salad on the side. Although my picture makes my pita sandwich look sparse it was most certainly not. It was much bigger in person and there was plenty of shrimp and fixings on the sandwich. Our server was very pleasant and I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant.

This place is amazing - gorgeous outdoor dining during coronavirus and food was incredible. Very fresh and perfect crunch on the sandwich. My boyfriend who is a picky eater also loved his ribeye kabob. Will be coming back plen Update: came back less than a month later and ordered the same thing and told my boyfriend to get the wrap as well because the pita was amazing. They didn't have the pita and did not tell us - his chicken wrap and three tiny cubes of chicken. The wrap was hard and inedible. They got my order wrong and I never ate it and they still charged me and made it seem like they were doing us a favor by not charging us for an additional wrap that I didn't order. So upset and never coming back!

Been here twice now, once to eat in and once for take out. Both lunch and dinner are amazing. Best hummus and pita I've eaten. Indoors it reminds me of a little NYC place. Scallops were awesome and hubby had red snapper that he loved. Super nice staff and inside is very clean and eloquent.

A nice restaurant in upscale Haddonfield. Eating at one of the outside patio tables was delightful. The prices are not as high as some of the other places on Kings Highway. Our server was pleasant and attentive. One of the soups on the menu, vegetable bean, was delicious and an appetizer of roasted red pepper humus was outstanding. Orders of Shish kabab, and Lula kabab were good but the beef/lamb combination of the latter was a little on the dry side, both came with grilled vegetables that had no seasonng and were tasteless (a disappointment). The slight missteps that I mentioned would not preclude visiting ZMC on a future visit to Haddonfield.

Needed a place close by Moms house in Haddon Heights so we chose Zaffron made a reservation on Sunday and probably didn't need it. We expected the traditional Kabobs and Falafel but I was pleasantly surprised at the creativity of the menu. For staters we had the Zaffron salad and vegetarian vegetable and barley soup both very well done. The soup was amazing and just enough to save room for dinner. For dinner we sampled three entrees. The lamb ragu over pasta was my favorite. The lamb was tender but not too fatty. The grilled red snapper over Orzo pasta was very tasty with a light flavor. Lastly we had the chicken kabob which was very tender with a side of rice. Service was good and done with a smile. This is a BYOB so the pricing is a bit higher but not bad. 4 people with apps 120 with tip. Bookmarking this place for future visits.

Tried Zaffron on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. We love BYO's and Greek so this seemed like a perfect fit. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was good. Nothing blew our minds, but it was an overall good meal and good dining experience. I had the Combination Lula entree, which consisted of a minced chicken kebab and a minced lamb/beef kebab. The meats and grilled veggies were very good, but the rice was bland and forgettable. My girlfriend had the olive encrusted salmon which was also very good. No dessert for us this evening. The prices were reasonable and we would return to try some of the other menu offerings.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here at one of the outside tables. Ordered a strawberry & walnut salad that was light, refreshing and big enough to share between two as an appetizer, then the salmon kebob platter and the slow roasted lamb shank entree. The lamb shank stole the show -- fall-off-the-bone tender in a unique and delicious sauce. Our server was knowledgable about gluten free items, and the owner (or chef?) personally visited every table during our meal to check-in and ensure customers were satisfied. Will definitely return and remember to BYOB!
