"Zavino is one of those places that always gets brought up in conversation when you’re trying to decide where to go for a casual weeknight dinner or date night when you don’t want to spend a ton of money. And probably around 50% of the time, you decide to go there. Partly because it’s an easy choice and you know you’ll have reliably good food, and partly because, even though there’s nothing particularly spectacular about it, you always have a good time here. They also have $8 pizzas during Happy Hour, so that should probably tip the scales towards Zavino in pretty much any instance when you’re trying to eat dinner before 6:30pm." - Sydney McElwee

We loved this restaurant! The gnocchi was amazing. They have a nice selection of wine, beer and cocktails. The servers are friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. The tiramisu was also very tasty ! Both dishes are highly recommended.

Delicious pizza! In our group we tried most of the pizza menu! A round of applause for the meatball pizza. Although my favorites were the Diavalo and the Joey. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great location, too!

Went to zavinos the other night for happy hour and it did not disappoint. There was no room indoors but there was a heated lamp outside and for an October night we were pretty comfortable. We had the margarita pizza and cheese bread (which was basically another pizza) and cauliflower (not part of happy hour). The pizza is thin crust and very good. I liked the cheese bread a lot too. Service was great and I'll def be back.

This restaurant in my opinion is one of those hidden gems in Central Philly. They put a very unique twist on traditional foods here, the customer service was great and the menu prices were very reasonable to boot. I really enjoyed my time here.

Came here after the flower show with family. The dining area is small and kind of cramped but very homie and easy to like. The menu is small, one page but filled with interesting and unique vegetable menu items. I tried this seared cauliflower steak and my wife tried the fettuccine braised chicken both were very delicious. I never thought I would enjoy a cauliflower steak as much as I did. Would come back if I was in the city and recommend it to other people. We plan to go to insomniac cookies after this.

This is always a great go to in the city. They had a seasonal pumpkin/squash pizza that was very good and creative. Awesome beer and wine list as well. Service can be spotty sometimes so be aware.

We were looking for a Italian resturant which served gulten-free pizza near the the Marriott hotel in downtown Philadelphia. We saw that Zavino was close and served pizza with gluten-free crusts, so we decided to give them a try since they have a full Italian menu with a bar. I ordered fettuccini with pork and my wife ordered the gluten-free margarita pizza. She told me that their made from scratch dough was the best she has ever tasted. Stop by for drinks and a delicious Italian meal!

Great pizza and wine. If you come for lunch be prepared for a rather loud dough mixing machine. Otherwise it's a nice place for a glass of wine and a tasty bite.
