Zayed International Airport

I stayed in the lounge until 10:30 PM as it’s limited to three hours, and my next flight was around 2 AM. After a good dinner, I explored the airport on my own. I walked for almost an hour, clicked many pictures, and burned around 300 calories—which was a great bonus for me since I enjoy walking and staying active. The airport felt calm and quiet, but it’s extremely well maintained, clean, and organized. The signage is clear, making it easy to navigate even during long layovers. There’s a great variety of duty-free stores, luxury brands, cafés, restaurants, beauty salons, and premium shopping options. The GUCCI showroom especially stood out—beautifully designed and worth visiting. Seating areas are comfortable, washrooms are spotless, and free Wi-Fi worked smoothly throughout the terminal. I grabbed a coffee to stay awake and avoid missing my next flight. Staff were polite and helpful whenever needed. Overall, it was a long layover, but the airport made it comfortable and pleasant. After Doha and Istanbul, Abu Dhabi Airport is definitely one of my favorites. Next time, I’ll just plan a shorter transit! See you soon, Abu Dhabi !

Amazing airport. I always prefer to travel thru Abu Dhabi. As it is a shorter trip. Also the Etihad Airways Lounge is a great way to refresh and relax. Although they must add bigger restrooms with urinals. Sometimes the wait it too long. Some people just take really long time to come out of the restroom. A couple of issues I always face with the airlines. 1. I was not given the boarding pass in the US for AUH- my destination. Which prohibited me from buying duty free. A loss for the duty free business. When you go collect your boarding at the gate, you cannot come out to shop. With little time left, people lose interest to go back out and purchase. 2. Message to Etihad Airways - they choosing to fly the smaller planes out to India, I’ve always experienced more than an hour delay in take off due to overhead bin space issues. Many folk carry more than 2 pieces. And the attendants don’t ask right people to keep their personal items under the front seat. Instead ask people with one piece to put their only backpack under. Infuriating. 3. During transfers, the Etihad personnel denied priority entry thru security citing it is only for Gold and Platinum. If it is so why sell a priority pass ? A total waste of $100.

I recently had a layover at Zayed International Airport while traveling from Munich to Pakistan, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best airports I’ve ever visited. The overall experience was extremely pleasant. The airport staff truly stood out. They were kind, humble, and very cooperative. I’ve traveled through many airports in the Gulf region due to the lack of direct flights to my destination, but the staff at Abu Dhabi Airport were by far the most polite and helpful I’ve encountered. Their calm and friendly attitude made the transit experience smooth and stress-free. The airport itself is modern and well-equipped. There are plenty of food chains and restaurants to choose from, along with prayer rooms, refreshment areas, and business lounges. The washrooms were clean and hygienic, which is always a big plus during long journeys. One of the best things was the free Wi-Fi just connect and you’re online. No sign-ups, no forms, no hassle. Super convenient! Overall, I had a very good and comfortable experience at Zayed International Airport. I would definitely rate it as one of the top airports in the region and look forward to passing through it again in the future.

Very big and beautiful airport with spacious area to walk. It's very clean and the shops were lined up neatly. Many big name stores and branded goods sold here. Easy to check departure information. Cool looking buggy at the airport. Lots of seating areas while waiting for your next flight.

Actually had a really smooth experience at Abu Dhabi Airport recently. Usually, big international hubs feel like a chaotic race against time, but this place is different. ​The first thing you notice is how massive it is, but in a good way. Even though it's busy, the layout is so open that you never feel like you're being elbowed or trapped in a crowd. It’s got a very calm, airy vibe that definitely lowers the pre-flight stress levels. ​If you’re looking to chill with some time, the shopping is top-tier. They have everything from the high-end luxury brands to the standard duty-free stuff, and the staff were actually helpful rather than hovering over you. ​We were traveling with family, and finding a spot to eat was surprisingly easy. There’s a great mix of family-friendly food options not just the typical fast food, but actual sit down spots where you can get a decent meal that kids will actually eat. ​Everything was clean, the signage was clear, and we didn't have to wander around in circles to find our gate. Definitely one of the better airport experiences I’ve had in a long time.

One of the best and nicest airports i’ve ever been to. The design and architecture of the airport is amazing, the cleanliness organization was perfect, the smooth electronic passport control and the friendly security staff were all top tier. No intense security measures, no chaos, no stressful measures, it’s one of easiest and most comfortable airports i’ve been to. It’s definitely one of my favorite airports now.

One of the very beautiful, large and spacious airport in the world. Good amenities. Not crowded. However, the airport did not have or enough water dispensing stations. This is one important sustainability aspect of a public space which surprised me. This can reduce thousands of plastic bottles from the environment.

Flying through Abu Dhabi International Airport was a smooth and enjoyable experience. The terminals are bright, spacious, and really well-organized, making it easy to navigate. There’s a great mix of duty-free shopping, cafés, and restaurants—so whether you want a quick snack or something fancier, you’ll find plenty of choices. The lounges are super comfortable too, especially if you have a long layover. What impressed me most was how clean and secure everything felt. Staff were friendly and helpful, and moving through check-in, security, and boarding was quick and stress-free. The new Midfield Terminal looks amazing and adds a futuristic touch to the whole airport. Getting to the city is also simple with taxis and ride-sharing options available right outside. Overall, it felt like a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and modern style.
