"Raza’s has been popping up around the city for a couple of years, but now they have a residency inside Whiner Beer Co. in Pilsen. They’re serving Sicilian-style pizzas as whole pies or by the slice Thursday through Sunday. The pizzas have an airy and crispy focaccia-esque crust and come with topping combinations like pepperoni, jalapeños, and hot honey, or italian beef, roasted peppers, and classic giard’. And if you need something to wash down the spice from hot honey or jalapeños, order one of Whiner’s many funky beers, like a milkshake-inspired mango IPA with vanilla and lactose." - john ringor
"Zaza’s is a casual New York-style pizza shop with very good pies. The crust is thin and chewy, glistens with olive oil, and provides a wonderful vehicle for Zazas’ long list of toppings. You can order by the slice or pie, with options like a sweet and spicy bacon jam, or soppressata with hot honey. For the New York-style purists, there’s also a great pepperoni (with cute little grease cups) and a white pie topped with fluffy dollops of ricotta. The restaurant is BYOB, and luckily there’s a Binny’s right across the street." - sam faye, adrian kane, john ringor, veda kilaru
"Zaza’s Pizza is a bit of a walk from Wrigley Field, but for folks who have a little bit of time, this is a great spot for a quick bite. New York-style slices reign, but you also find grandma slices (if you’re lucky and they’re not sold out)." - Brandon Summers-Miller
"Zazas has built a Lakeview following with New York-style pizzas that fall into the new Neapolitan category with thin, chewy, and foldable crusts topped with ingredients like truffled mushrooms, Calabrian chili, and soppressata. The rotating menu includes a bacon ham pie (red onions, Calabrian chili, cotija cheese, Sichuan garlic oil, scallions), a white pie (garlic, olive oil, whipped ricotta, mozzarella, basil, sesame seed crust), and a truffle mushroom pie (shiitake mushrooms, rosemary, garlic truffle cream, goat cheese, sea salt). Grandma-style pizzas are also available in limited quantities, and the restaurant is BYOB. Online ordering is available." - Ashok Selvam
"One of the city’s best slice shops is a five-minute drive south of Wrigley. Zazas Pizza specializes in NY-style pies and they’re available both by the slice and whole. There are a few seats, but folks would be wise to show up before a game to grab a slice and make the walk to the stadium." - Ashok Selvam
