The Best Restaurants In Aruba - Aruba - The Infatuation
"The counter-service seafood spot in Savaneta, on the Southeastern side of the island, is everything you could want in a fish shack. There are dockside picnic tables with water views that would put even the priciest restaurants to shame, with fishing boats pulling up to sell their catch. And, true to the theme, the menu features whatever the fishermen have hauled into the adjacent pier that day—think whole-fried snapper, wahoo filets, and fried head-on shrimp—plus local Balashi beer, best enjoyed by the bucket. Although you’re here for the fresh-as-can-get fish, this place also serves knockout plantains and pan bati, a pancake-like cornbread that’s one of Aruba’s signature foods, and one Zeerovers does best." - jacqueline dole

"Zeerover A classic fish house in the sleepy village of Savaneta, Zeerover is all about fresh, Aruban-style seafood. Cooled by ocean breezes, the spot may feel like a bit of a dive to some, but its fish comes straight from the sea—in fact, you can watch from the restaurant's perch on the pier asfishermen pull in their catch. The menu reflects whatever the boats bring inthat day, often snapper, wahoo, or even barracuda, and includes savory sides like banana hasa (plantains), pan bati (corn bread pancakes), and funchi (fritters). Be sure to also try the shrimp; the peel-and-eat delicacies are always cooked to perfection. Note: The restaurant is closed on Mondays."
This place is definitely worth a visit . We enjoyed so much we went twice. I will be singing it's praises for all to visit. The menu is simple and that's fantastic. The fishes and shrimps are caught daily and preparation is simple and absolutely delicious. Everything we ate was a mouth watering experience. The hot sauce of the island was fantastic. This place is a must!

What a hidden gem! Very unique restaurant: you have to stand in line before you enter, order and pay your food, get your drinks and then get a table. Fish is different every day, they also have shrimp. Sides are fries, plantain, or cornbread- everything absolutely delicious! It's right next to the ocean, amazing view. A must when you visit Aruba!

Fresh fried fish that's as good as it's reputation! Pro tip...get there as soon as it opens if you want to beat the lunchtime hordes, avoid a long line/wait time, and get the best seating out by the water!

Such a unique experience! You pick your seafood at the counter, they weigh it in front of you, and it’s all super fresh — straight from the fishermen’s catch of the day. The fried fish and shrimp were delicious, perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is casual and right by the water, which makes it feel very local and authentic. Definitely a must-visit when in Aruba!

Zeerover was our favorite restaurant in Aruba. It was highly recommended and we can understand why. There can be a line to order. The menu is very simple. Fried fish, shrimp, and fries. They have popsicles too. You can also get some condiments. The service can be slow, but it’s very much worth the wait. The ambience is amazing. Right on the coast with the waves and wind. The fish is super fresh and you can see it being prepared. Would definitely recommend when you’re in Aruba.

I wish we would’ve found this place earlier in our trip! It was such a cool vibe - laid-back & local feeling. We got there, 10 minutes before opening, and there was already a line… Which speaks for itself. We loved the seasoning and the tartar sauce to go with the fresh shrimp (be prepared to peel them). They also had whole red snapper! Will definitely visit here again.

Be prepared to stand in line for this famous seafood house! You order by the pound and everyday there is fresh fish. You may be even lucky enough to see them bring in the fresh catch. The shrimp is amazing with their special blend of seasoning. Once you order you get a number to take to your table. If you look through the cracks if the floor you'll see that you'll be dining over water!
