"Chef Jing Wetzel shuffles anxiously around the small kitchen at Zheng Cafe, the South Lake Union restaurant she owns with her husband, Greg, which specializes in street food influenced by her native Wuhan, China. It’s Wednesday night, and the place has just reopened after being closed for weeks out of concern for Jing’s family back home, at the epicenter of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak: Her uncle and aunt contracted the coronavirus, and her parents — who live in a separate home and have not tested positive — are currently under quarantine due to local precautions, with food rations dwindling. Even more alarming, the caretaker of the apartment complex her parents live in recently died from the disease." - Gabe Guarente

I wasn't blown away by the pork buns but I wouldn't say I was disappointed by them either. If anything, I guess I would say they were good but not what I expected. I really liked the sesame noodles but I would have almost certainly have tried the beef noodle soup instead of not for its price tag. It was a cold, rainy day so I am glad I got a hot soy milk.

Tucked away in one corner of Denny’s triangle, it’s understandably why this place wasn’t well covered in many blogs. This place serves up Wuhan dishes, which are mostly on the spicy side. So do order the mild versions if you’re not up to it. The type of spice in Wuhan numbs your mouth and not something I enjoy. I had a takeaway as I was rushing but the soup was delicious and the hint of sesame and spice is just a great combination. Tip: do not drink the soup till the end.. the spice will hit you!

Ordered delivery through Postmates. We got the Wu Han noodles, which was reasonably portioned and with lots of strong flavors (sesame, pickled veggies, green onion, etc). We also got the beef noodle soup. The beef was very tender with generous portion sizes. Scallion bun was ok, pretty doughy, but the custard bun was really good.

Sesame noodle is a must have! Very authentic food. Soy bean milk is great.

A new favorite! Got the home style noodle soup and the broth was really flavorful.. Love the sesame noodles too. I see myself coming here often.

We ordered the sesame noodle with pork, pork belly baos, bbq pork buns and juicy pork buns. The sesame noodle was just ok. The pork belly buns didnt even taste like pork belly. The bao was good and soft though. The flavor was good but it definitely did not taste like pork belly. The bbq pork bun had some spice which made it different but it was incredibly dry and could have had more sauce. We needed water to help swallow. The same for the juicy pork buns - really dry. Tastier than then bbq pork buns though. Customer service was really friendly and top notch but there was a bit of a wait for food.

What a nice little gem in SLU. Super small indoor seating area that sits about 6 total. Tried their wonton and it was legit. Wontons were meaty and juicy.

The noodles and juicy pork buns are amazing, but the price point is a little high for the amount that you get. The quality is very good but the price for these was a little high
